Joop! Homme Eau de Parfum

I wore the original Joop Homme back in 1989, it was a fantastic fragrance, very unique, sweet (almost gourmand), but today's Original Joop has been HORRIBLY reformulated, and although its still a good, potent fragrance, it's NOT as wonderful and nuanced as it was back in the day, and I can understand where some if the negativity comes from as most folks just don't know what the original Joop Homme smelled like before the reformulations. Now this Eau de Parfume is REALLY NICE! It does still retain plenty of the original's dna, but with a "fresher twist". Im LOVING the Cinnamon/Grape vibe it offers, has great performance and is still very unique in comparison to other popular fragrances out today, again while still retatining the og's dna. Its just AWESOME, especially bc after so many years of wearing Joop Homme (and the quality issues with the reform) Ive gotten sorta bored with the OG, but now Im excited to wear this EDP, bc It still smells like Joop, but with a more modern take. Imma give this one a 10 outta 10. Smells AMAZING with excellent performance ta boot! My ONLY regret is having purchased the 2 oz vs the 4 oz, but I may still grab a 4 oz before its discontinued 🫠, but hey, IT'S WORTH IT!!

A very well-crafted, eloquent sweet-powdery-woody-florally-vanilla fragrance that retains typical Joop! DNA. With Hazlenut, Cinnamon and Heliotrope to enhance the Joop! aromatic experience. This fragrance is a joy to wear, very strong opening remaining strong even after dry-down...its a great parfum! With some reticence, this frag doesn't fade fast or want to abscond. It constantly reminds me of summertime although I'm saying it would actually be very perennial. (There may be an ingredient in this that is in suntan lotion) One of the best Eau de Parfums to come out of the Joop! house and definitely one to collect for your wardrobe, or you're sadly missing out on a beautifully complex and well-crafted aroma with good performance. Nota-Bena: The honey accord accommodates it well, to be quite sweet but not gourmet. If you don't like quite-sweet aromas then...maybe try a decant (sample) first. Joop! Homme Eud de Parfum is not generic, but wafting somewhere in blissful exquisite solitude, creating its own genre that will get you complimented. I extend it to be a niche-smelling aroma. I bought two 125ml bottles and will continue with Joop! Homme Eud de Parfum in my thankful wardrobe.

BUBBLEGUM BONANZAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! I should calm down, this is just a perfume review. A bubblegummy one. I don't smell hazelnut, just a bit of cinnamon at the opening and then all I smell in this perfume is somehow a fresh bubblegum scent. Could be due to honey and florals mixed. I smell it so much that I cannot even smell the vanilla. For me, it is not cloying or headache-inducing as there is some sort of freshness in this strong bubblegummy fragrance. However, I understand some of the criticism about the synthetic feel. I get it too, but I am not bothered by it. Freshness and synthetic feeling I am talking about reminds me of a clean laundry smell. Incredibly strong performance, do not overspray it. Do not wear it in summer/hot weather. Also, do not spray on your white clothing, it will stain. I think I will buy this one soon and only use it on days where I feel extra and attention-seeking. What can I say, it's human nature :) Before I leave... I have one last thing to say: Did I tell you that this perfume is bubblegummy?

I was a HUGE fan of the Original Joop Homme back in "89" and through the "90's" when it launched. It was super unique and amazing aaaand very devisive. But I got more compliments than any negative comments. I still enjoy the current Joop Homme, but it has DEFINATELY lost so much of what made it really special and now has this "Powdery funk" in the dry-down that sorta gets on my damn nerves tbh, but I still have to have a bottle in my collection bc the pros out weigh the cons imo. Enter Joop Homme edp. I really like this way more than the Current OG especially bc it doesn't have that funk in the dry-down, and is different enough while keeping a lot of the og dna. Theres a freshness to it and almost smells like grape to me. I REALLY like it. And the performance is on par with the og (insane longevity). Yet it will NEVAH be able to replace what was launched back in "89". RIP To my very first higher end fragrance! It was pricey back the at launch😉. I do give Joop Homme edp an 8 outta 10, very nice!

I was peacefully shopping when I walked down an aisle and suddenly caught the most delicious scent. The only way I can describe it is as the smell of Christma,sweet treats, cinnamon, honey,absolutely exquisite! I started looking all around the supermarket for the person leaving behind this wonderful trail of fragrance until I finally found him. I politely asked, “Excuse me for bothering you, but are you the one who smells so amazing?” Very kindly, he replied, “Yes, it’s my perfume.” I then asked if he could tell me which one it was, and he showed me and said, “This one!” WOW!! I was completely fascinated. I had never smelled anything so delicious, cozy, and attractive. As a woman, I find this fragrance completely unisex, and I think it’s perfect for colder weather. I simply couldn’t resist, and with such an amazing price, I had to buy it.🤩

Blind bought. I love it although early on it can sometimes pass through a bland stage smelling like a vanilla-cocoa butter skin cream. That might happen when you put too much on. Sooner or later it explodes into a cherry, bubblegummy, occasionally jammy, sometimes coffee or chocolatey panoply of multicoloured disco lights which have a lot of red. It lasts well and I'll often spray it a couple of hours before intended use. It's been years since I had Very Irresistible for men but there's something in Joop! EDP that reminds me of it. This one's more pleasing though. It isn't sharp and is like eating candy. I hate anything too boringly formal, which brings headaches as I remember mind-numbing work situations and fellow commuters, particularly loud ones. Suits, suits, suits every day and everywhere? No way!

This is a great improvement on the EDT version – this is really nice, crowd pleasing and immediately when I smelled this, there was this similarity with something else in my collection, not a 100% similarity but a very close and a more affordable alternative to Armani Stronger with You – the projection is also good, be careful with the trigger and not overspray it because it will fill the room – longevity easy 6 to 8 hours and on cloths it lasts all day. I just visited the Joop website and I could not find the EDP version anymore, so it might already be discontinued, at a popular retailer in Holland/Belgium ICI Paris XL it was already discounted at a price of €31/100ml – so that’s a really good deal – I think once the stocks dries up, this will pop up in price.

This version of Joop Homme has nothing to do with the legendary Joop Homme EDT which came out in 1989. This parfum is much more mature and modern. It has the same vibe as Jaques Bogart Silver Scent Deep. You can smell this creamy soda out of it which is caused by the hazelnut and the vanilla which give it that creamy smell. The longivity is very long 8+ hours and the sillage is very good. This scent is for fall, winter and early spring. Of course one can wear it in the summer but only with a few sprays because less means more. It is suitable to wear in the office and for night out. This eau de parfum is very attractive and is a compliment getter.

If you smoothe the notes of the original, less sweet and less synthetic, add a ton of chocolate hazelnut accord, you get this. Overall a better frag thwt the OG. You will smell the OG but more refined and that nutty smell gives it an mmm factor. Much more wearable. Reminds me of, section... is exactly that. Reminds you off a buch of other frags but do not think you will get stronger with you if you buy Joop EDP. It does have that nutty similarity but they are not the same frag or even close. Sameball park different smells. Like two apples. They are both apples, they taste like apples but they dont taste the same.

Really like this fragrance. Some people might not enjoy the opening but it gets way better in like 10 minutes. I got many compliments wearing it and i think if i had to choose to wear only one fragrance in the cold season, i'd choose this one. It is good for everyday use because it isn't that overwhelming. It is good for fall and to me it somehow has that halloween, leaves falling vibe to it but it also has that warm christmas winter vibe. It can be worn in day time as well as night time. So if anybody looks for a versitile cold season fragrance, i recommend this one!

At first sniff, I was a bit confused cause it felt like a fougere fragrance. Then I let it mature for a week, tried it on now, and I love it. It's the most masculine festive fragrance I have in my perfume rotation. Homme EdP is a novelty gourmand fragrance done right - I feel every note described in this fragrance, and I can't stop sniffing myself. It's a well-balanced nutty, spicy, sweet fragrance that's heavy on the hazelnut, honey, and vanilla. A 2.5 oz bottle was 10'340 forints from Notino which is roughly 30 USD, and for this price, it's a steal.

This fragrance has a lot going on. It carries its notes from start to finish without a vast difference from opening to dry-down. This is a distinct fragrance with deep, rich, sweet notes which may not be for everyone. It’s one of the best performers I’ve owned. It must be applied sparingly, especially in warm environments. Because of the strong performance it would work well at an upscale club or for dinner al fresco. It works equally well in day or night but should be used in moderation during the day. It’s an attention getter for sure.

This was my first ever fragrance, and honestly I'm not really heavy on fragrances, so this could be interpreted as the opinion of a random person in the street. It smells very sweet, like bubblegum, and you can definitely smell the cinnamon. I've been complimented wearing this several times, so it definitely pulls compliments here and there. Definitely worth the buy, and I will probably buy another bottle of this when I run out. This is also my favorite oriental fragrance considering the price.

Sweet, creamy, and nutty smells dominate this fragrance. It’s strong but not as strong as the classic Pink Joop. It’s also less bubblegum like. If you keep this to a couple of sprays you will smell great but more sprays might be overpowering for people around you. It’s almost unisex, leaning to masculine. This really works well in cooler weather. I think this is a beautiful fragrance, lasts long, and is great value for money. Only blind buy it if you like “sweet” scents.

Got my bottle yesterday and gave a little spray not so strong at first but left it to settle as i now do with most frags and come to spray it tonight and its pretty beast mode. Scent is amazing defo along the lines of Armani Stronger With You Good value for money at £45, really cant go wrong with this one for the price. Do your shopping as some are selling this way over priced but amazon and fragrance direct have it cheapest at the moment.

Nothing like the original Joop EDT. This is a very affordable, sophisticated evening fall/winter scent. The longevity on this is nuts for the price, I can smell it still on my skin and clothes over 24hrs later. The opening can be quite cloying, but quickly dies down to become a sweet and spicy complex scent. For the price, you'll not get much better in my opinion. A lot of negative prejudice, simply because it's a Joop fragrance.

Sooo i hurried to test this in my local ICI Paris XL in the Netherlands and omg was i shocked! This is a gem! To my nose, I smell nothing of the original. This is a spicy, juicy and intoxicating scent! The orange blossom really shines on my skin. Kinda reminds me of Paco Rabanne One Million Parfum which i loooooove! The sillage and performance are BEASTLY too! Well done Joop!

I bought it for my husband but for me it's unisex pefume, I'd also wear it. It's very sweet, not every man would like it. It reminds me Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge which I wear and love, we often wear this combo together (people in the same bus must hate us when we do that). Sillage and longevity is enormous, I can often smell it from clothes even after washing.

I'm sure this will have nothing in common with the original just like the Absolute. Pity! At least they should have give a different name, because making an Eau de Parfum for an already existing Eau de Toilette assumes that it will have a similar fragrance only stronger, more intense, in Eau de Parfum concentration, and not a completely different scent.

Got a 75ml bottle today. I really like this scent. Hard to pick notes but it starts with some citrus and then vanilla and cinnamon sweetness. Very happy scent it will put a smile on your face. Reminds me of 1million. Better than the original. Performance is good. Definately buy this one if you like sweet fragrances. Great price also.

What a great scent for the price; ignore the snobbery. This is not like the original Joop, this is much more refined and it's a great budget iris fragrance. I was really surprised how good this smelt. Re-package this in a high end designer bottle and it wouldn't be out of place and people would buy it at 3 times the value.

Yes! A deep rich scent. I’m surprised it’s from 2021. I would have guessed it would originate from somewhere in the 90-ies. Very manly, not like those many overlysweet or apple based perfumes. Very addictive. If you like the Dior Homme line, this may be your thing, too. It’s more potent, though, which can only be a plus 😊

Of all the Joop! Homme flankers, this one definitely has a lot in common with the original Homme release. It reminds me of a cross between Armani Profumo and Gaultier 2, complete buttery warm ‘feel good’ fragrance. This will definitely be in my 2021 Fall/Winter rotation, I absolutely love it!

If this was a PDM, Channel, Bond No 9 this would get more notice and all of the clone houses in Dubai would be cloning the shizzle out of it. It smells good for the price, smells amazing for the price. Smells synthetic, but every fragrance is synthetic. Great scent, loving this Joop

I got it for my boyfriend. At the time the shop lady said it was a new perfume and the second I smelt the tester I fell in love it. You can really smell the cinnamon and vanilla. Overall it's a great perfume for the price. It's a beautiful aromatic fragnance for colder days.

Guys this new Joop! is a monster, very spicy, very manly but beautiful. Longevity: 5/5 with more than 8 hours + Projection/Sillage: 5/5 fills the room, nice trail scent also. Price: 5/5 I paid 38£ for 125ml so is super. Blind buy YES if you like spicy woody scents.

This is a very good fragrance for most occasions. It opens sweet and nutty and dries down to a nice vanilla scent. Joop! Homme EDP is very powerful, I usually use 4-5 sprays for going out, since this is a very loud fragrance. 10/10 for me

I think when you spray it first it gives you a headache,but for example in cold night you can use it and When you smell it from afar, it gives off a wonderful aroma and gets compliments. It also holds the scent for a very long time.

A great buy for something cheap, loud and nice smelling for some. Reminds me of Christmas a lot personally. However, I find it does not transition down the notes pyramid over time. Overall a great fragrance for the price.

It's pleasant, warm, sweet, fairly linear scent, although does get a bit deeper with time. Hugs your body and has a modest projection if applied with ~4 sprays and does not induce headaches at all. Very safe fragrance.

It smells like Gaultier 2 (not 100% but similar)! Love it. Perfect longevity & sillage. Great blind buy I bought 75ml for 25€ in Germany Edit: I definitely need to buy a 125ml backup bottle :-)

One of the best frags i have ever tried so far. For the price it is actually winter sweet beast, like it 10 times more than stronger with you or le male parfum. Its hidden gem!!!

I like it, great aromatic scent, nice on a winters day or around the fire at night. Smells synthetic but only on opening notes. It’s a winter evening at home for me!

For me the best from joop. Sweet yes but make me comfortable and I love it. Longevity is decent 7-8 hours projection is good! Winter time must have!!!

The son of the original Joop basically. Not as sweet and much more modern and lasts around 8-9 hours. Definitely worth trying it!

Warm, sweet, boozy, vibrant spiciness. I really like it! Much, much better than that over-hyped Gaultier Le Male Le parfum.

Modern version of legendary Joop Homme ❤️ Love it 👌

I've had a longing for the "JOOP!" DNA for a few months now. I didn't reeeeeeally want the old one I rocked in high school again...then I found all the flankers and saw THIS one!! Perfect! A gourmand leaning Joop! Found a good deal on a 2.5oz bottle and pulled the trigger this morning. I figure that should be enough to scratch the itch over the colder months. Review to follow after it arrives... (Arrival day) HOLY SHINOLA!! You know when "Jeremy Fragrance" does his thing and goes "POOWAAAAAAARRRR!!!"? Well...THAT...is what is inside this bottle!!! That primal scream...that wild fury coming out of a sexy smooth mans throat...This fragrance is all of that and then some!! I sprayed it once...ONE SPRAY ON A TEST STRIP!!! My hands smell like JOOP...the test strip smells like JOOP...my shirt smells like JOOP...the entire room smells like JOOP!!! I kid you not...this stuff is like...I don't even know. I thought my "Red Tobacco" was the strongest fragrance I owned. This one might even beat "Red Tobacco" and its performance is close to "Kerosene - Followed"...wow. But this actually smells amazing...where "Followed" does not. The fragrance starts out with a burst of Hazelnut and Vanilla. This opening stage lasts for about 30 minutes. The mid-phase, for me, had an interesting tone of woodiness that I wasn't expecting based on my ownership of the OG fragrance back in the 90s. I REALLY liked the early-mid-phase...it has a hint of the Hazelnut, the smoothness of the vanilla and all that at the maximum output of the fragrances nuclear room-filling projection. It's been hours now and nothing has changed so far...I'll come back and update this when the drydown phase starts....ends...is evident... (Update) Welp...I tried to wait it out...the drydown never came...I fell asleep!! This frag lasted all last night past midnight!!! I sprayed the test strip at around 1400 yesterday. My office where I sprayed the test strip was LIT this morning when I walked into it! The room smells SO amazing!! I'm going to wear it out today and see how it performs on skin.

Joop homme perfume..... in the traditional sense of perfumery the perfume version of an eau de toilette is usually just the same scent with a higher content of perfume oil. An Edt or Etc shoved through a scent amplifier. It usually doesn't mean that you get a totally different scent experience like it is the case when you compare JPH and JPHP. I mean it would be rediculous to release an even stronger version of of the original Joop Homme because it is strong enough to nuke out whole city quarters. A stronger version would possibly be radioactive glowing at night. Hence it is a a good idea to take the best of the original and modify it to fit in better. They should have called it Joop Homme Evolution maybe instead of Joop Homme Perfume because it is not the same scent in higher concentration. It is different. Hazelnut, cinnamon, heliothrope, creamy vanilla and Tonka is what i get and it is as strong as it should be. I don't understand at all how ppl compare this to Joop homme ICE...It does make no sense at all. Very good release from Coty and its German owners.

This can be challenging to find in the USA, but I just kept googling it under Google shopping and finally found it from a US retailer for about $38. I have worn original pink Joop! since it came out (on and off), so of course I was so excited to finally get this. The bottle, sprayer and cap are usual high quality Joop! The scent is good, but for the life of me I cannot tell the difference between this new Joop! and Armani Stronger With You Intensely!!! Top, middle and base just smells identical to me. I have tried in different temps, different body areas and asked friends and family....and when I let them smell one arm with this new Joop! and the other arm with Stronger Intensely...no one can smell a difference either.

This is sweet! if you dont like sweet in the ballpark of like JPG ultra male, or 1 million, step away. This is sweet with a capital "S" however, i do like it, since am a sucker for sweet frangrances. One thing that confused me though. At arrival it didnt had any cellophane (bought from Notino), however my JOOP Le parum had cellophane. Saw a clip comparing a real vs fake JOOP homme. And there they stated that a real Joop dosen't have cellophane (the fake had cellophane, so he said that was the most easy way to tell if it was a fake or not). Seems like they use Cellophane out of randomness. Oh and btw the "Joop Le Parfum" isnt even near as sweet as this one

Discontinued or hard to find. But discounted online in Europe these days, at 75ml for 20ish bucks. Great dry down! Powdery vanilla and a bit nutty with the delightful remains of the sweet flowers, and not too deep. Mid vibration and cheerful. Really lovely for sunny and mild September days. I'm currently infatuated with this EDP. Update 30 days on. The online price for this fragrance is jumping up and down in Europe. I believe it is the last days, but what do I know? This fragrance is so EASY to like. It's not complex but is blended to please. The dry down lingers a full second day and is similar to Guerlainade. I can't recommend this bottle more highly.

The best Joop Homme A burst of hazelnut and cinnamon start the perfume. Then, on my skin I smell honeyed vanilla as a sweet base together with cashmeran to make it more cozy and Heliotrope to make it flowery and powdery. I can smell a touch of cinnamon for hours. It is still powdery sweet and has the original DNA. It goes towards gourmand with leathery feeling, but not really a gourmand or leathery. Unlike the EDT it is not syrupy and less powdery. It stays very long on the skin (+12h on me) but projects less than the EDT. I personally like it a lot and prefer to the original and absolute (sexier with Tonka bean but works only for one hour).

I just recently picked this up at a Burlington near me and for $30 (125 mL), it is worth every penny. It is a sweet orange-blossom and heliotrope bomb which to me makes it smell like grape soda! I haven't tried the original Joop Homme but my guess is that they smell similar. All you need is one spray under your shirt because this is a beast, lasted me 12+ hours with very good projection and sillage. You can wear it in the colder months (day and night) but I wouldn't wear it in the summer/spring just because of how strong it is. Overall, I like it and definitely is unique in my small collection.
