Joop! Homme Hot Contact on my skin is just like the original in every aspect so simply I don't know why joop did it in the first place ( they could've imitate it in a different falcon like Hermes did with terre de Hermes when they re launched it in 2009 ).

the difference may be very little, but the meaning of the new edition is that the previous is no longer available. it's like Carolina Herrera 212 Ice edition. different packages and colours, but the soul of the perfume is still the same. the goal is that you may find your favourite (if it is favourite) fragrance each year with novelties. For example I still have the Joop homme Summer Fever limited edition (which somehow is not listed on fragrantica). will be using until it ends, and then I'll get the new limited edition which will be available on market. one of the marketing tricks.

I just got mine in.. and yes it's very similar to the original but with enough differences to call it a different fragrance It's a bit more floral and toned down compared to joop homme. The candy sweetness isn't as sticky in its texture and the oriental background is definitely toned down. There's SOME added jasmine all throughout, but otherwise it's pretty similar to the OG. Love the bottle.

this is a massive fragrance for winter must say!! It has that spicyness that provides you a sense of warmthness in wintery days!! well it also has a combo of sweetness like saffron and lily. Must say it is one of the best spicy-sweet combo i've ever smelled!! i m dissatisfied with the lasting though :-(
