JOOP! Homme Neon Edition

This is somehow both very similar to regular Joop! Homme (which I love) and yet quite different. It's more of a delicious, sensual honey orange sweetness, and less of the overpowering white floral. A lot smoother, still a loud statement but it's closer to a normal perfume in terms of projection and longevity.

Very interesting flanker. At £10 for 100ml, cheaper than the current formulation of the original but it just really smells like a very peppery version of the Lancaster formula. I like the soapy midnotes. I'm not really sure when I'd wear this except when I'm need of a mood lift. Most people hate Joop but then most people are unrefined Philistines who choke the air with Sauvage. Joop is very féminine, like licking a cherry cola bottle off your skin. But I have liked it for years, some not so great compared to others. For the dirt cheap price ,I think it's got good sillage on my skin.

Not sure why was I expecting a new smell. This is JOOP Homme just more subtle and smoother. It has a strong dose of lavender and for a sweet fragrance the opening smells surprisingly fresh and pretty. Almost like a Burberry Goddess type of DNA. I have yet to wear it fully but so far it does lean on a weaker side. Maybe thanks to this I can imagine it being perfect for spring and summer saving the masterful Le Parfum for Winter.

Joop Neon smells an awful lot like OG Joop Homme. Just doesn't last as long. Why? What's the advantage of a flanker that smells identical, but performs less? If you like original Joop, this will be fine, I guess.

It's just Joop Homme that hasn't aged as much as the bottles we have today. I don't know why people are saying they're different to each other as neon Edition and the OG are literally the same to me 🤣 like it's just one of those editions where they change the bottle for shits and gigs i guess

I tried Neon today. Smells like JOOP! Homme. Regretfully, I forgot to spray JOOP! Homme on my other wrist to compare directly. I'll report back. It's a couple hours after my spray and this Neon smells beautiful but then I like the OG.
