Wolfgang Joop Freigeist

This scent is absolutely fabulous and one of my top 5 men's scents ever. The opening of Freigeist is actually a little too much for me (husband loves it!) but after about half an hour a wonderfully sexy, sweet and warm scent will have developed on your skin. I do not get why this fragrance gets quite a lot negative feedback and why it seems to be so unpopular when the sales figures suggest otherwise the opposite is true... Anyway, even if you are not too keen on Joop perfumes I still suggest you try it!

Just to clarify, this is not another Joop! fragrance as mentioned in some reviews. Wolfgang Joop sold off his Joop! brand in 2001. The two fragrances released under his full name have nothing to do with the Joop! brand. And all the fragrances released under the Joop! brand since 2001 have nothing to with Wolfgang Joop. I very much enjoy the Freigeist scent. Too bad it seems to be discontinued now. Stocked up on this. ;-)

Lovely, more intelligently blended version of Joop! Jump. If worn outsdoors in cool weather, the jasmine stick out rally nicely. Its an easy going, sexy fragrance that makes you feel good. Good performance on clothing, lasts beyond a day!! I like it a lot!

Finally, I had the chance today to test it on my body. I was surprised that it smelled so familiar. It took me some minutes, but then it was crystal clear: This one seems to be Davidoff Adventure. One may spot a difference if testing both simultaneously, but not so from a distance. Conclusion: Not bad, but unnecessary. We already know it! Like a cover version of a popular song. ***

As a men's scent I find this one quite nice. It's warm , fresh and a little on the orange side. Although it is fresh, it's not acquatic or herbal. It's more for men in their 20s and 30s I would say. It's a nice modern daytime and office scent.
