Accident À La Vanille - Paradis Blanc

🚨UPDATE 10/07/24: After letting it macerate for months, I have fallen in love with this perfume. I can finally smell the vanilla, there's a yummy tropical (almost piña-colada, but not quite) element to it, and it has really balanced with the white floral. It doesn't smell super mature now, it smells like it can be worn by someone younger as well. I would still call this a floral forward scent, so don't expect a gourmand. It has become more delicious though, now with the other notes finally coming through. Still also smells very lux too. Would be totally necessary to spray on while sun bathing on a tropical beach with frosty piña-colada. I'm so glad I purchased this perfume. Happy to have in my collection. FIRST REVIEW 04/01/24: Airy tropical lotion-y white floral scent. There was a quick whiff of what kind of smelt like passion fruit which I think was supposed to be the pineapple. And that's it! It's giving luxury hawaiian resort. It's feminine and pretty, it's not juvenile, definitely more mature to me. It's light and non offensive. It is lovely, it's just everything I didn't expect it to be since I was hoping it would have been more of a delicious sparkling pineapple vanilla bomb, but unfortunately it is not. I don't hate it at all, it's quite pleasant, but it's just not my usual style when it comes to fragrances (my mom would like it though 😅). I'm going to let it macerate for a few months and who knows, maybe other notes will finally come out! To my gourmand girlies, sadly this is NOT gourmand despite the vanillas, dulce de leche, and pineapple. Those notes aren't detectable in this perfume IMO. It's a white floral perfume, period. So, floral girlies, you will love this (especially for vacations!). 🌺

Just received today & I definitely get the pineapple & gardenia notes..smells tropical to me, with some creaminess. I am glad it’s NOT milky vanilla creamy like Accident a la Vanille which is not Spring/Summer appropriate, since it’s soo dense. I LOVE it thus far & 2 light sprays on my arm, over 2 hrs ago, still present. Ohh & the Atomizer (even spray & light like air) & the Bottle are both DIVINE...definitely giving LUXE vibes! Give it a try, if you can find it, & NOT seeking the usual Vanilla fragrance😉

I only just learnt about Jousset recently and their super gourmand scents. This special edition of Accident À La Vanille came up in my Instagram feed and on impulse, I ordered it without having experienced the OG Accident À La Vanille. Limited editions seem to do well on the secondary market anyway, even if I didn't like like. Jousset kindly included samples of their best sellers, so I was able to try the OG before opening Paradis Blanc. I didn't fall in love unfortunately, which made me worry if I was too impulsive about the Paradis Blanc purchase. Some of the reviews here didn't instil confidence in me either lol Anyway, my birthday came and I opened up Paradis Blanc. I was pleasantly surprised. I immediately got pineapple with a hint of champagne. When the vanilla and dulce leche kicked in, it started smelling a little bit like a white chocolate pineapple candy. It finally settled into a nice paired back version of the OG. This is something I will enjoy on holidays. Not a daily wear but that's OK.

Crisp, sweet, beautiful tropical scent. This fragrance is the perfect addition for summer. It’s a crisp fruity pineapple with white florals. Magnificent balance of fruity & floral. Love it.

While not a gourmand per se—as I don't detect the Accident à la Vanille DNA at all—this is still a truly sweet fragrance. It evokes a luxurious sandy beach with a pineapple cocktail, making it perfect for spring and scorching summer days. The fragrance remains consistent throughout wear, with vanilla as a constant presence. Unlike Accident à la Vanille's edible vanilla, this one is more perfume-like. Initially, I detect fresh-pressed pineapple juice with just the effervescence of champagne—minus the actual champagne scent—which is beautifully executed. After 15 minutes, strong gardenia emerges alongside tonka bean.

This was a catch and release. Failed blind buy, that was so bad it was kind of surprising, because Jousset usually does very realistic gourmand. This one smelled worse than a candle, the pineapple smelled so synthetically cheap.

Warm, lactonic, solar vanilla. It’s kind of coconut‐milk haze.

I purchased immediately as Jousset is always a safe purchase as I am a gourmandy girl at heart. I really thought this would be a gourmand forward fruity with a touch of floral. The top is a beautiful bubbly pineapple as anticipated. The mid - dry down this starts to fall off the cliff for me. It is a very creamy gardenia focused scent. I have a blooming bradford pear tree in my front yard and the same way it stinks in full bloom - the fragrance does too. I am so disappointed.

I blind bought this right away when it launched and didn't like it. Sprayed a few times but it didn't change so I decided to wait til warmer weather and today I sprayed again and I really like it now! This blossoms in warm weather and I'm so happy I got it and gave it a second chance! I've learned you should never judge a perfume from your first try.

I’m going to let This rest a while as I’m sure it’s quite shaken up in transit. As of now it’s not good and a total pass for me personally . I was hoping for more accident a la vanille DNA here... what I’m getting is a very cloying artificial fruit note perhaps grapes and gardenia. I’m not getting any vanilla etc. :( Will retest after it settles.

This is such a letdown. Really thought this would be a good one going off the notes. It’s sooo faint and not gourmand at all, not even sweet really. Mostly just light florals and very meh overall. I don’t get pineapple, Dulce de leche or much vanilla.

Blind bought this and was very disappointed. Accident A vanille is one of my favorite perfumes ever. This was like a sharp synthetic floral immediate scrubber
