Banana Split

Sweet banana and chocolate sauce with a hint of chocolate powder is what I smell right away, it lasts all day and the banana becomes fluffy with vanilla whipped cream. I’m really enjoying this one.

I hated it the first time. But now I LOVE it. It's so creamy on my skin. I'm getting cream caramel banana 🍌 even the next day. It's gorgeous got sooooo many compliments.

This is the most delicious fruity gourmand I've ever smelt. Reminds of banana candy, but sophisticated. Congratulations Jousset Parfums, great job!

odd. It's a first for me to defend a gourmand :) I cannot stand overtly sweet ones, so I normally steer clear of the genre. This one, though, caught me by surprise. I'm not getting the low ratings either, to be fair. Banana split to me is a civilised gourmand (aka classy gourmand), i.e. grown women can wear it, and no one would look around them to locate a teenage companion who had carelessly grabbed the cheapest and sweetest thing in the drugstore. Now I am not getting loads of bananas, perhaps a few whiffs in the opening, where it does smell like the banana in choc-covered banana foamies, as someone before me noted. This fruity upbeat does not last long, though, but the drydown is quite nice, a gooey caramel cream. Looks like it behaves differently on everyone, I got 8 hours easily, although the last few presented more of a skin scent.

This smells exactly like chocolate coated banana marshmallow candies (iykyk). I love banana scents, including candy-like or even artificial banana flavour. And I like banana + melted dark chocolate in desserts. Somehow this pair in the perfume is not my absolute favourite ever, I would personally like less chocolate and more banana, candy and cream in this Banana Split scent. But banana dominant gourmand perfumes are a rarity, so I am happy to have this treat in my collection. This is my second favourite from Les Delices collection, after the Sticky Popcorn. Performance is good, but not as impressive as that of Sticky Popcorn.

Smells like Banana Runts dipped in Hershey Chocolate.

Atomic banana runts candy, then dries down to a creamier banana flavored dessert. My husband stated it smells like ashtray, or a Black and Mild, plus cotton candy. He hated it a lot. I definitely can smell the black and mild now that he mentioned it. I had to google this situation as it has come up before with other gourmand samplings, and apparently coumarin is a main flavoring ingredient used in cigars and sweet tobacco. If you're looking for a banana candy this may be a good pick for you. I'm hoping to find something more tropical or banana bread like.

opens with a beautiful (albeit artificial) banana scent but... then immediately devolves into a pure chocolate scent. the banana completely disappears which is disappointing as that's the reason i got it. if you love chocolate this could be nice, but i'm not the biggest fan of it as a note so it's just serviceable at best for me. overall rating: 🩷🩷💔🖤🖤 2.5/5

Super harsh nail polish remover smell from the banana note in the opening. Eventually dried down to a banana le gourmand like chocolate scent. Not a huge fan of this one but oh my am I loving Sticky Popcorn!

It opens with the scent of a banana ice vape and settles into the exact scent of those chocolate scratch and sniff stickers. I don't get much ice cream. It's kind of weird but ok.

OH!.... no. Okay, there is some novelty to be found in the opening of this, you can almost taste the banana flavoured sweet in your mouth. Drying down a bit the candied banana smell does open up to a more organic overripened banana scent which is a very overwhelming smell and translated without much fantasy - Definitely one that could be easily headache inducing and for the duration of the dry down it becomes a rotten banana that is overly sweet, unappealing and musty. Once the perfume is on its way out (about 5 hours in), the smell does become a realistic banana smell although very faint this far into the wear. I do not like this, it isn't something I find wearable or would appreciate smelling on someone. There is a charm in the opening notes which even there is screechy - I wish the banana wasn't so literal perhaps, the other notes aren't picked up on though there is a slightly creaminess to it coming from the cream notes.

Opening goes towards fruity banana nail polish; then stays on you long, but you smell like a bubble gum. If I had the tester before opening this, I would definitely send it back to Paris. It is not tragic, but definitely below expectations, seriously, waisted money. I will either keep it in my car as an emergency perfume, or give it to someone who loves buble gum scents... Meh.

Not my favourite - Like if you left a banana in a plastic tray on the hob. Really melted plastic and chemically. Slightly alcholic - rum, maybe? I was hoping for banana (or even like, banana sweets) but I didn't get that at all. I still enjoy layering my sample of this with other frags to use it up especially when sprayed with extreme moderation.

It smells EXACTLY like a banana sweet tart, and not in a good way. Just cloyingly sweet and artificial. I'm not getting the lactonic notes of ice cream, nor the richness of chocolate.

For a split (no pun intended) it smells like a nutty banana, then it’s just a mambo of sweetness that doesn’t last. Weak longevity and sillage.

Shrieking banana Laffy Taffy followed by... fish sticks? Bizarre scent. How did this ever get greenlit.

I will preface this by stating that I loathe this house with a fiery passion the likes of which you’ve never seen unless you’re standing in front of the goddamn sun. I thought Tarte Tatin and Sticky Popcorn were terrible, but this just takes the cake. This is giving “cheap and awful Sticky Popcorn” knocked up a “slutty Walmart banana bread wax melt” et voila! Banana Split, the deformed “love child” is born. Too bad the slutty banana bread didn’t take a morning after pill. My nose is so offended now and if I was a witch I would hex them for making this travesty. I will be giving my sample away to others in fragcomm who love to smell garbage frags for shits and giggles. And spontaneous vomiting. IMMEDIATE scrubber - you’ve been warned.

I hate this! I got it in a mixed sample pack & honestly I can get into a banana laffy taffy & still it took me months to try this on skin. At first I get Artificial Banana and then distinct (maybe I’m just impressionable) chocolate syrup. The dry down I get sweet plastic synthetics still some cloying banana and what smells to me like black tea? I am curious about finding an enjoyable less synthetic banana note in a perfume that I could enjoy someday though...
