I agree with the review below. I let this sit for a few weeks and I suddenly picked it up today and decided to give it a chance. And omg it smelled so different to what I remember it smelling like when it first arrived. This is a really sweet and creamy vanilla fragrance. You can actually smell the custardy element of a creme brulee. You know when you are eating a creme brulee and you see the black dots from the vanilla pod in the custard? Well this is exactly that. You can also smell the burnt torched sugar, the cream, and overall a very lactonic and sweet cream fragrance. Once it dries down, the burnt sugar disappears and turns into a very soft and enveloping vanilla that smells like a vanilla cake🍦🍮🍰 Love it!!! If you love very creamy lactonic vanilla fragrances and a burnt sugar realistic creme brulee, you will enjoy this one. Otherwise, if you are not into VERY lactonic and custardy fragrances then it won’t be your thing

Guys please let this sit for 2 weeks. It smells AMAZING after it had time to settle and macerate. In the beginning I got a super synthetic sour lactonic smell. But now 2 weeks later, it smells like the most delicious creamy vanilla custard with a burnt sugar crust. Yummy! It’s such a realistic creme brulee scent I am obsessed😍

I had a sample of this before buying- spray it on skin and not clothes!!! It works for me so much better I swear it’s so warm, long lasting and delicious. On clothes yes it literally smells like feet which isn’t nice at all, and that stops me from loving the scent. On my skin it reminds me of custard slices I used to have growing up, just a warmer version, I genuinely adore it, just not on clothes whatsoever. It layers really well with other vanilla based fragrances as well💕 Scent: 8.5 (minus the clothes element🥹) Longevity: 6.5 Sillage: 5

Okay, so this was not what I was expecting The opening is almost cheesecake like (not bad, just not what I was expecting) and a little sour. The dry down is amazing, but to me it does not smell like realistic crème brûlée as another commenter has mentioned. I’m not getting the spoiled milk like the person below me is, but something is off about the opening. So I also got the Affogato one, and that one is amazing! EDIT: I did put it on after it had been shipping for almost two weeks. I will give it another try after it has time to settle down from traveling.

Update after letting it settle after shipping: First 30 seconds: smells like fresh butterscotch candy (if it stayed like this it would be amazing) Next 5-10 minutes there is this unsettling sour cream cheesecake vibe going on. Super synthetic smelling burn sugar. Next 30min to hour is when it starts settling down into a nice, but generic vanilla. Do not recommend at all.

This one is a very sweet coffee with a LOT of sugar. The burnt sugar is more in the background and is not overpowering. The sugar is definitely the dominant note with this one. As it dries down, you start to pick up on vanilla, cream, and caramel.

Meh. It smells the same as a lot of these milky, gourmand perfumes that are going around at the moment. Just a generic musty vanilla milkshake and certainly not worth the money for a full bottle

Very boring. Not sure what I else I expected or why I continue trying things from this house. Smells really synthetic and almost reminds me of crayons mushed on paper or like candle wax.

I recently received it and I am very disappointed. It's not crème Brulee, it's cheese cake. But a salted cheese just like the ones for Greek salads. I am not 100% sure that I didn't get an altered bottle because on me for 30' in the opening it's simply salted salad cheese, nothing I would like to smell at. It's almost disgusting, it's a salty lactonic. Please let me know if this happend to anyone else also because it was nothing I expect it to be. I loved the one from Theodoros Kalotinis, and I would expected here to have sugar, burnt sugar, vanilla, not sheep cheese.

This is not a crowd pleaser and did not work out for me. Yes, it it very powerful gourmand scent. There is that burnt sugar, custard and cream. But indeed, it has something funky, even animalic to it. Especially in the opening. So the loudest from the Les Gourmandises line but at the same time my least favourite. Absolutely recommend sampling before committing to a full bottle. If you want the most delicious Crème Brûlée scent, then go for Theodoros Kalotinis.

Just got it today and 🤢🤮 Seriously, the milk notes turn sour milk/rotten cheese and it is AWFUL!!! Then, when it ebbs away, the caramel note is super overwhelming and fake or industrial/plastic-y. There’s no balance whatsoever. I am beyond disappointed with Jousset on this one. There also have been a lot of issues with labeling and packaging too so who knows what’s going on... Overall, very sad and disappointed ☹️

This smells like stinky sock, definitely a strong cheese smell here but why on earth did they go with parmesan cheese out of any cheese? Cheese can be done nicely, navitus siesta drive uses mascarpone cheese and that smells incredible like akro bake. But this stuff just smells like my sock after I take my shoe off when been walking around all day.

It opens up delicious and when I first received it I fell in love at first sniff and sprayed myself and a blotter. As it dried it got that weird poopy/book smell that I don’t exactly know how else to describe... I had to get rid of this one (the dry down happened on my skin and the paper)

At first I was very impressed it smelt like a foto realistic crème brulé. It was sweet but slightly burnt and a little bitter but i loved it but after a while it smelt spoilt...it was totally disgusting.

I see that people are saying to let this macerate, but I don't have the $$$ to spend on something that might not work out. The sample is like spoiled milk on my skin. Not my favorite from this new line.

This is nauseatingly sweet. I did not enjoy this. This is also quite spicy. But I can not get past the overly sweetness that accompanies it. Definitely sample before purchasing.

Horrific opening, genuinely made me feel sick. All the reviews talking about it being sour and smelling like feet and cheese are absolutely right.

Wow I wish I'd read these reviews before ordering a sample. This starts off smelling like Baileys Irish Cream, and then WHAM feet and cheese. I had other people smell it to see if it was just my nose, but they all almost gagged. This is really, really horrible.

This is awkward smelling. To my nose it smells like a breastfed baby’s vomit; sweet, sour milk. Please sample first, not blind buy safe.

I would've been happy even if this was a generic gourmand scent but something about this is really, REALLY funky.

I couldn’t help but laugh because it’s exactly what everyone warned about. But here’s the magic: once I layered it with Jousset’s 500 Gourmands and Almond Cake, everything transformed. The combination becomes this incredibly rich, mouthwatering gourmand cloud that feels almost edible. And the Crème Brûlée drydown? Pure heaven. Warm, creamy, caramelised perfection. If you can power through that initial “feet and cheese” phase for about an hour, you’re rewarded with one of the most delicious dessert scents imaginable. A wild ride at the start but absolutely worth the journey.

I really, really wanted to love this. I'm a gourmand guy, I think the bottle is cute, the notes sounded amazing... yet all I can smell is off milk. Think 'milk bottle left in a box in the sun for 6 years'. It's chunky, it's disgusting, it is not wearable in the slightest. DO NOT BLIND BUY!! I dont enjoy telling others what to do but seriously, sample this before pulling the trigger on a bottle.

Wow, I’ve never tried a perfume with a custard note this realistic. It might even be too realistic, and I can understand why some people compare it to cheese. I do not think we’re ready for this in a bottle, but I’m addicted to it because it reminds me of homemade cheesecake, plain, but still cheesecake.

WOW. Pwerful, nasty sweet caramel with fecal notes. Hugely nasty super sweet with poo. SUCH a skipper. I'm not sure why it is so bad to me. I know others like it.

To the people who tried this: pleaaaase write review, we need to know if this is as good as it is supposed to be

How did they mess this up? Chocolate and crap. Why am I getting THAT? Might be my worst buy of the year.
