Gourmand Bakhoor Dehn Al Oud

I didn't know I was so into gourmand fragrances, but Jimmy Bodin has done it for me. Chocolate or milky coffee are really not my alley, but I just can't get enough of the smell of creamy toffee and caramel, especially when they have a surprising twist like this: Lao oudh is, as the review below pay attention; "cheesy". still this fragrance holds its caramelity top excellently throughout its whole life. This scent is just totally addicting, dries down to the deep, tongue-watering, mystery, smoky, woody, soft, caramelly suede scent...but not too much, scent is suitable, mayby even for someone, who has never smelled an oud. or even like the smell of leather. I think, that many gourmet lover can enjoy this. However, I recommend taking a sample first. I personally am completely obsessed with this delicacy.

Reminds me strongly of Xerjoff Ceylon: sweet stinky oud that is absolutely heavenly for those who like that particular flavor. the difference is that Ceylon has a big honey note while Gourmand Bakhoor Dehn Al Oud is more about the caramel, but both have real, strong, overwhelming stinky oud. I LOVE IT.

The prettiest perfume I have ever smelled. There is not a single fragrance that comes even remotely close to how good this smells. I want to inhale the full bottle into my nostrils each time I spray. Sweet, but dark. Very strong and potent, the contrast of the oud and vanille makes it a masterpiece.

I would have turned the world upside down to find another bottle of this, but I hope Jousset has improved the quality of their sprayers, the spring on this bottle just flew off and I couldn't get it fixed. pathetic.

Sampling Jousset Parfums Gourmand Bakhoor Dehn Al Oud (a 2022 flanker to the original Gourmand Bakhoor from 2020 and its special edition, Crème de la Crème, released the same year), fittingly a rich mostly-gourmand but with a darker character and the addition of oud, even a slight animalic side, with notes of burnt caramel, oud, almonds / amaretto, honey, and cocoa. Its sweet side is quite sweet but is counter with the dark, resinous, semi-animalic oud. The sweetness definitely wins out overall. In terms of quality and preference, I find it comparable to its Gourmand Bakhoor predecessors, neither significantly worse nor better, certainly worth trying for both fans of gourmands and oud, and I like the concept very much, of a gourmand-leaning oud, something in vaguely similar concept of Bojnokopoff by Fort & Manle, albeit with a less interesting overall mix. I like this, though. It’s sold at Luckyscent and Sealed Essence in the US, in parfum concentration, at a price of $230-240 for 50ml, not bad pricing, but not cheap, either. 7 out of 10

I hated this. Is this what real oud smells like? I suspect what I'm smelling is oud because I don't smell anything other than something wood. Nothing gourmond. There is a suggestion of something sweet but it's really sickly, like melting plastic. It just smells like plastic melting smelled from a far. I couldn't even fathom doing a skin test. My tiny tester stripe thrown in the waste basket under my desk kept wafting its scent and it was nauseating. I've never smelled anything this unpleasant, ever. Even stuff that other people find gross, fecal, urine-like, BO, etc. I'm fine with those. I don't understand how this can be pleasant or enjoyable in any way by anyone.

The notes on this sound so good, right up my alley. Unfortunately, the ONLY thing I'm getting is the oud. It smells like a fermented tree. I keep waiting for it to dry down more in line with the original Gourmand Bakhoor, which I love, but there is none of that happening. NOT a safe blind buy.

I thought I had chosen the OG of this to sample but once I took a sniff and read 'cheese' in the reviews here, I realised I bought the Dehn Al Oud version. I'm really only going to say that it's not a safe blind buy. It smelt like very bad cheese (and I loooooove all cheeses). Almost a vomit smell. I had to scrub it off me immediately. No issues with any other Jousset frags but this... I cannot.

All I get is bleu cheese with maybe a hint of some sort of booze. I’m going to let it sit for awhile and come back to it, but I’m scared to put this on my skin. It’s VERY strong.

I picked up gourmond bakhoor dehn al oud a while ago and liked it so much I got a back up bottle ,before i picked up ,or even smelled the original gourmond bakhoor , and from what I've learned , you have a 50/50 chance when buying it, my first bottle was very much like gourmond bakhoor ,just a little darker deeper and with a smooth woody non funky oud lingering in the background, now my second bottle was the opposite it's a slightly funky oud with gourmond bakhoor in the background, in the mid they are about the same and then they diverge in the dry down . my second bottle smells like Oud Précieux Du Bangal , with a splash of gourmond bakhoor

Gourmand Bakhoor (original) is my favorite fall/winter perfume. But THIS, is a big fat NOPE for me. It is NOT a safe blind buy, so please sample first. You can still smell the original a tiny bit in the background, but I mostly smell burning tires.

Just sampled this today... it’s amazing, definitely buying this. Similar to Gourmand Bakhoor, which I love, but with more depth. It’s stronger and the oud really makes this nice. For me, its worth owning.

Smells like candy liquor, the type of liquid center of 'alcoholic' truffles... Then turns into a funky acrid sweet vomit. VERY unique, but not my cup of tea
