Sticky Popcorn

I am not into popcorn notes AT ALL (traumatized by that heavy, cloying Cheirosa 71) and I did not like Maison Mataha's new release Brownie Pop either. I asked for a sample of Sticky Popcorn just for the heck of it when I ordered another perfume from Luckyscent (Jousset Cafe Affogato) and I tried it, totally expecting to hate it. But OH MY GOSH. My eyes rolled back!! This is delicious!!!! I ordered a full bottle (which is stunning by the way!) and when I got it I sprayed it all over and was in complete bliss all night long! This is not that heavy, cloying popcorn you get from Caramel Pop or Cheirosa 71. This is fresh buttery popcorn with some airy sweet caramel and even has a marshmallow feel (maybe even rice crispy treats) to me! I'm in LOVE!

Delicious. I feel like I want to eat myself when wearing it. It smells so good, it nearly bothers me. When wearing it, I find it difficult to fall asleep, as it just smells too good! It is delicious, gourmand, but not offensive at all. I was genuinely worried it would be too salty, too savoury, rice forward.. or too oily/smelling like artificial butter flavouring... But it is none of those things, it is masterfully blended, well balanced gourmand joy. And it is finally Cheirosa'71 by Sol De Janeiro, in a perfume form and a bit more sophisticated, in a good, delicious way. It lasts very long, even though it does not project like crazy. Either way, totally worth it. No surprize I've selected it as my Christmas scent this year!

Popcorn fresh out of the kettle- delicious! Sweet, airy and lightly caramelized. Nothing synthetic, burnt or movie theater-ish. It lasts about 5 hours but sits extremely close to the skin. I had to try hard to smell it and didn't catch any whiffs throughout the day. My husband said the dry down is cocoa puffs and I have to agree--sweet rice flour. I used up my sample in a flash but I won't repurchase due to the lack of projection.

Light, airy, buttery popcorn, with the caramel, vanilla and salt. Simple, pure and perfect. This is the most realistic popcorn scented fragrance on the market. If you want to bathe your senses in nostalgia, this is it. I ran through two samples before buying the full 100ml bottle (which is stunning).

you know when you go to a carnival or faire and the sweet smell of kettle corn hits you. this is what that smells like. i love love love LOVE this scent!! I am obsessed with popcorn in general and have been looking for a perfect popcorn scent. I am so happy I found this.

Probably my favorite of the bunch, I really like this one! It smells a bit of popcorn but mostly caramel, and the rice powder note is very prominent. Honestly, I bought this one mainly for that one note so I'm really happy.

This a stronger version of SDJ 71. Honestly I can’t find a difference. The price is super high so I will think about it but it is an instant love.

I layer this with SDJ 71 and it adds longevity and more butter. Love love LOVE this scent.

This is soooo savory. I’m on the hunt for a perfume version of Cheirosa 71. This is similar but a lot and I mean A LOT more savory

this smells EXACTLY like weetabix. no popcorn, not much sweetness. pure malty weetabix

Bought this along with Belle Helene and Cafe Affogato. For the most part this will smell exactly as you think it would which is slated popcorn covered in caramel, and there's not much more to it. For context I sprayed it on the back of my hand twice, and upon spray I was greeted with the aroma of salted popcorn. The buttery aspect is faint and short lived in the opening. After the buttery notes were gone the caramel came into play but was subtle. I actually couldn't smell the caramel when I put my nose onto my skin, however it was detectable via random wafts of my hand as I was on the computer moving my mouse. Overall the scent was linear on me and just smelled like freshly salted popcorn with the tiniest hint of caramel sweetness on my skin. Now the performance is quite bad on me as it had not even an arms length of projection; it only projected for about 30ish minutes. The longevity was roughly 5 hours, and a skin scent around the 1.5 hour mark. I would like to state once again that I did not spray on my pulse points and it was only 2 sprays on the back of my hand, so take that as you will. Based off of what I got I wouldn't recommend buying it unless you specifically love the smell of popcorn. To me it's similar to Shay and Blue's salt caramel, but with an added and more prominent note of popcorn. In fact I'd rather opt for salt caramel over sticky popcorn because of its performance on my skin. Though I will say sticky popcorn smells higher quality.

This is a weird one. On me, it starts slightly savoury and I can get the popcorn-esque quality, but then it has a maple syrupy sweetness as it dries down, and then the rice powder really kicks in and all I can smell is maple syrup and rice powder. It's not bad... it's just not that good either. Especially for the price. Definitely don't blind-buy this.

Loathe. I loathe Jousset. This is my literal reaction to testing this: OH GOD. and not in a rapturous way. This is what a third grade girl wears, spending her allowance from taking the family dog out to do its business — cheap Walmart or dollar store vanilla body spray with a hint of movie theater popcorn. SO. GROSS. Immediate nausea, and Banana Split I had to actively swallow vomit to keep it down. I cannot get this shit off my skin quick enough. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

While this was sweet and nutty at first, it turned into a VERY strong honey scent that verged on urine. Hard pass for me.

It shines best in cooler seasons like autumn and winter, where its buttery sweetness envelops without overwhelming the senses or those nearby. Both are excellent in their own right, but Sticky Popcorn offers a more balanced and wearable gourmand profile, especially for those who appreciate a comforting scent that doesn’t overpower. Hyper realistic buttered candied popcorn. It smells so realistic you almost smell the steam of the popcorn machines like what you smell when waiting in a movie theater...then you get a sugared vanilla...then is gone. Where did it go? It vanishes very fast. I think it is amazing that they can replicate such an experience...it is really fascinating. I think this is very nice, for gourmand lovers. Maybe overpriced, they need to work on the longevity issues. Very good.

I recently bought a few samples from this house and I can say with absolutely certainty, this isn't the one for me. The first 30 seconds are quite surprising, realistic popcorn being fought over by sweet and salty notes. It then immediately settles into plain popcorn and rice powder - any sweet notes disappear entirely, ruining what I imagined would be a delightful fragrance. I'm a gourmand lover, so I highly recommend sampling before buying!

I have a sample of this, this is really foodie smelling, so if you’re not into that I wouldn’t get this. I do smell a white chocolate kind of smell from this, but this is definitely popcorn!!! Personally I wouldn’t wear this, I like slight gourmands but feel this is for extremely gourmand perfume lovers I think this would be perfect.

I actually prefer sdj 71 to this....to me, that rice powder is prominent and it’s giving me the same powdered milk vibes that MM afternoon delight did. Not offensive fragrances in anyway, light, powdery, not overly sweet. This is like a SDJ 71 diet/lite version with some rice powder thrown in.
