this perfume was from my Mom's closet and smelled this so many decades like from 2007 I guess. This is really a sweet and floral scent but dries down into sweet candy. At first I don't like it. But as we use it often I kinda like it and was addicted to it. This stays on my clothes for a week. I guess If my clothes will not be wash, it will just stays there. I miss this scent. Unfortunately this is a hard to find perfume now.

Very tropical. At first I hated it. It smelled like alcohol and vanilla. I said, "Oh no." Then it developed. Still all about the vanilla but it is very tropical. To me without looking at the notes it smells like vanilla, coconut and tiare flower with maybe some ylang and light musk. Not a Jovan bomb. A bit mainstream. But fun for a beachy scent. Working with the listed notes, I would say VANILLA, musk, tuberose, lily, orchid

A very successful and inexpensive blind buy! Jovan Fever reminds me a little of Charlie Red and Red Door, but in a much more subtle and non-cloying way. I sense a vaguely medicinal aroma but it is still a pleasant fragrance (funny that it is called Fever then!). Beautifully blended and with a touch of vanilla. Quite long-lasting too. Edited to add: I think the 'medicinal' note I can smell is aniseed. Nice though!

I got a bottle off ebay and after a long time waiting I tested it just now. Unfortunately my bottle is `gone off`..I think it is, it must be the fact that it is a cheapie and also discontinued..Am disappointed. I`m pretty sure it`s an original bottle though, and this stale smell is lingering on, although as the scent dries it gets less disturbing. Other than that what I can smell underneath the gone off stale impression is vanilla, orchid and a bittersweet spicy note, probably aniseed - as FionaNewZealand did too - or fennel and towards the drydown amber. The stale impression could be caused by the violet root or lily note, as I get none of these two in the mix. All in all it is a vintage scent, quite nice actually, pity that I couldn`t test it when it was still good..
