Aqua Memorabilis

I blind bought this a few weeks back and wanted to spend a while with it first before leaving a review; I've been quick to misjudge Jovoy fragrances in the past, so have learned. It's not like a typical citrus/vetiver, it's a woody citrus which is versatile and interesting. It's bold in It's deliverance of old school masculine vibes, but it's still modern and artistic. If you're looking for a shimmering, refreshing citrus then this is not it. The clementine is intersting here, it's pretty bold and not polished up at all, almost squidgy. I like it. Unfortunately I left my luggage case in Wales before leaving the country for work. It'll be another year for me to keep wearing it. It's good, give it time, all Jovoy fragrances are like album tracks as apose to hit singles. Be patient, give it time.

It is an Excellent Fragrance By perfumer Vanina Muracciole. Citrusy, Fruity, Fresh, Cool and Clean. I tried it in store and I fell in love with it at first sniff. It smells so good and very pleasant. It opens up with a bit sweet fresh citrusy, Spices and floral notes in the background then dry down is ambery and woody. This Modern Scent created after two years research by Perfumer. It is on my Radar and I will buy it. If you like a fresh citrusy , ambery and woody Cologne, Try this one. Longevity is good. Highly Recommended. Two Thumbs Up. Bravo Jovoy! Rating : 8.5 / 10

10/10 in my book. One of the summer greats. Opens up with a blast of citrus. You can easily detect the violet. The base of vetiver musk and amberwoods is also very elegantly done. If Jovoy had a legendary top 3 being Private Label, Incident Diplomatique and Psychedlique u can now add a fourth name to that list. Great value for money.

A very easygoing and easy to wear citrus scent with a bright opening and a soft yet potent dry down. As usual with Jovoy, the scent finds its own segment and does not resemble anything i have smelled. I like it quite a bit!

A magnificent adult summer fragrance of mandarin with notes of pepper, sandalwood, and musk. It attracts attention and elicits compliments. Quite long-lasting and very pleasant to wear, I recommend it. 8.5/10

I think Jovoy is a great perfume company with generally very good material quality and a rather serious character overall. This particular fragrance has a masculine, yet light and happy vibe. At first, it reminds me of orange-flavored toffee chewing candy—a nostalgic and somewhat childish note. But fairly quickly, it develops into something more masculine and serious, though still with a playful tone. I had a tester and was sure I wanted a full bottle. However, once it settled down, I realized it was too much of a straightforward citrus male fragrance for me. I do enjoy masculine scents, but I prefer those with a brighter or more complex character. That said, I would love to smell this on a man. It's a high-quality, everyday citrus fragrance for a man with impeccable taste. "Sweet-talking sugar-coated Candy man"

Wow 🤩 This reminds me so much of my dads Hugo Boss perfume or aftershave but mixed with mandarin. Not the juicy fruit nor the oily peel - the bitter white flesh of the mandarin to be exact. Jovoy has created such a versatile fresh interpretation of a classic masculine fragrance. It’s fruity and light, perfect for summer. Yet crisp and clean, perfect for winter. I can’t think of a situation where this fragrance would offend anyone. It’s one of the few citrus forward male fragrances that actually works - creativity and quality created something so versatile yet unique. Most citrus forward fragrances reminds me of cleaning detergents or air refreshers, but Aqua Memorabilis truly smells like a memory of mine. Definitely worth a try, if you like fresh vetiver fragrances.

I don't know if I even would call it a citrus as it is very sweet, if you smell it closely you can smell the citrus and the spicy part, but in the air It smells way sweeter and more floral. It actually smells precisely like the jasmine flowers, from when I was in Parga in greece.

This is almost identical to Jeroboam vespero. Very good quality and scent, but not very innovative. I'm a little disappointed since it was compared to isola blue. I was expecting something brighter

A nice citrus scent, I can tell that it's clementine, and vetiver is not overpowering. Very good.

Sophisticated smelling Terre d’ Hemes. Wonderful it is!

“Jovoy Paris's Aqua Memorabilis is inspired by a childhood memory of founder François Henin. The scent captures a specific moment: long winter evenings by a fireplace, enjoying clementines, and the aroma of their zest crushed over a flame, creating smoke.” While the frag doesn’t fit the inspo perfectly I feel as it’s a nice homage to that idea... I mainly get juicy clementine with a bit of musk and woods in the dry-down. As per usual with jovoy this is extremely well blended and smells high quality.

Sweet, fresh, light, and airy. Up front, I get mostly sweet clementine and some violet and pepper in the background. Once the citrus disappears, it dries down into a kinda generic, dry, ambery, woodsy, designer cologne base. Very unisex and linear. Good scent, but overpriced for what it offers. Edit: Tried this out in the Florida heat and it turned into a synthetic mess. The citrus disappeared even quicker and all I could smell was ambroxan. Not good.

Fresh and peppery. This smells like Salt & Pepper by Precious Liquid.

I am very disappointed :-( I was expecting an orangey woody classy thing, like FM's Bigarade, maybe even something like elysium for the vetiver, but man, this is completely different. It's a mixture of molecules that have an ambery, sirupy, oriental vibe. This seems a made in italy fragrance for its very chemical sirupy smell. I find it very disturbing to my nose, it's probably up to date for this orto parisi-sh trend that is expanding in nowadays perfumery, sorry Jovoy but this time i'm disappointed. I smell: No Clementine No Orange (only the first 30 seconds) No pepper No sandalwood No vetiver Aaron Terence Hughes should try this, he would tell you the whole molecule list.

Aqua Memorabilis is the first Jovoy I really didn't like. It doesn't smell bad in a repulsive way, but it's rather generic, sharp, and has that shaving foam vibe a la Gilette which I associate with a certain type of men. It has a designer cheap 'men's cologne' vibe you buy from your local department store. It doesn't smell unisex to me at all.

I received.a decant today and I was so excited to try this out. It’s not heavy on the citrus on my skin. I get the black pepper, vetiver, and woodiness of all of the woidy notes. It leans very masculine and I can see a man wearing this to the office. However, it’s a no for me. I wanted more citrus and brightness from the citrus. .

Je pense que c'est le pire ou l'un des pires de la marque , il est chimique et désagréable dès l'ouverture. Les agrumes ne sont pas naturel du tout L'odeur est semblable à celle d'un produit ménager ou un sens bon pour voiture bas de gamme. À éviter

Ambeocenide in the base ruins everything unfortunately.

Realistic citrus for the first one hour that transition to dry vetiver and cedar combo. I can't use the word "sweet" for it, the base is dry and dusty. It is masculine.

I just blind bought this; ordered this today from the actual JOVOY store. Will see how good this scent is.

Smells fruity bizzarly ! No citrus or freshness out there!! Fruity bubblegum stuff only
