Incident Diplomatique

This frag is in my ‘top 5 of all time’ bottles I have. What a unique mix. So unique that it can be a signature scent. But it’s NOT for the casual untrained nose. (Smells like cigarette ashtray for the hoi polloi). Certainly not recommended for a blind buy. Nowadays anyone can wear any fragrance it seems, but I think this fragrance was designed for a Man. Nostalgic. Polarizing. This is the smell of a guy who has survived years of schooling or training, has suffered through many long sacrifices, has methodically climbed his way up thru life, and is now in his 40s, is now very successful, is feeling adventurous, and is ready to let loose, to see the world, and spend and dine and ride. Time to enjoy life. It’s the smell of a sophisticated alpha in his prime, not young but not old, the upper level manager that actually knows what he’s doing, can hold a philosophical and politics conversation without going overboard, is seasoned and feels confident, and is in his Rayban shades and expensive brown leather jacket, out and about in his BMW i8. He doesn’t want any company. Just some time off for himself. This is a fragrance you wear for your own pleasure, though you can definitely wear it for a date. For work? Probably not, because it’s a strong attention grabber. Distracting, albeit in a good way. I would classify it as an evening and fall/winter/spring frag, though I think it will also work in the day and summers too. It’s the version of Jovoy Private Label that you can actually wear in public. But still informal. Longevity: 8/10 (several hours @1m) Sillage: 8/10 (the room will notice, go light on the sprays) Price: 9/10 Scent: 10/10* Overall: 9/10 * very subjective

This perfume reminds me so much of "Precious Chandan" incense, specifically the one prouduced by HEM. The opening I cannot smell the mandarin. I get an immediate smell of incense like smoke, subtle vetiver, sandalwood and woody patchouli. Literally all the notes hit simultaneous for me. The moment I smelled it, my mind immediately went to Chandan incense sticks. I love the smell. But I was questioning if i was sent the wrong decant. Where's the vetiver? I guessed the incense like smell was the javanese vetiver and patchouli but I was feeling a bit disappointed. Then the initial drydown began. My beloved vetiver accord came through with POWER. Not in a beast mode nuclear sillage, but the vetiver is PROMINENT and yet in a completely smooth velvety way. It isn't in your face like Nishane's Sultan Vetiver (which I love), but just a nice velvet smoothness, almost creamy. It becomes slightly powdery while retaining that chandan meets vetiver smell. I love vetiver and I have to say this is one of the best perfumes focused on the note. How its polarizing to some, I have not a clue. Perhaps its the incense like accord thats off putting. To me, it bringd so many calm memories. This is a versatile scent. It could be worn in cold weather, but also in warm (not hot) weather. I feel fall or early spring, particularly evenings or formal gatherings is where this would truly shine. Its a serious smell. Elegant. Refined. Its a bit too serious for work. Incident Diplomatique is unisex but the woody patchouli brings it more masculine. Its unique for sure. Its a hard one to describe because its so different than other vetiver focused scents. Absolute masterpiece.

Shout out to Sebastian from 'Smelling Great Reviews' (Youtube) who is my absolute most trusted nose in the fragrance community for all my blind buys. He gets me pumped for so many compositions and houses I've never heard of and I just jump straight in and buy blind from his recommendations and he rarely ever lets me down (except Rien Intense Incense....uhhhh, cannot wear that!) INCIDENT DIPLOMATIQUE is no exception. This is fabulous. Grown up. Masculine. Green. Earthy. Sophisticated. I normally cannot stand Vetiver but love Patchouli but them two together here in whatever ratio and extraction are just perfect. Smooth blend without any harsh edges like vetiver can be normally. Nothing dank here. For me, the magic is in the later stages of the dry down (I'm talking after 8 hours). BEAST mode is an understatement. Although not a monster projector, it is a 14+ fragrance easy. I woke up this morning at 9am with it wafting everywhere and this after 4 sprays at 5pm the night before. Incredible. But that dry down! mmmmmmm; after 8 hours it turns a creamy green when all ingredients come together in unison as apposed to jostling for the limelight. I definitely enjoyed in much, more this morning than last night where it was lovely, yet, still had that nutmeg abrasiveness that needed smoothing over. The way Sebastien hyped this got me so excited and after not initially loving after after first purchase, a month later i can definitely start to see the magic here. If you love French Lover like I do from Frederic Malle, where green and earth take centre stage with class, refinement and sophistication, then this is your jam. Thanks Seb

This is fantastic. Honestly, I was hesitant about wearing this after initially smelling the atomizer of the decant. It was an intense Vetiver smell. "I don't know if this will even make me smell GOOD," I thought. Now, I had seen Justin Copeland recommend this on YouTube, and I respect his recommendations, as he and I have similar tastes in fragrances. "It smells like the sweater of someone that smokes cigarettes...in a good way. I know that doesn't sound that great, but trust me," Justin had said. That comment intrigued me. I chose the perfect day to wear Incident Diplomatique. It was a cold, gray, rainy day in December. Something about the smoky vetiver and the darkness vibe of Incident Diplomatique makes it pair with cold, rainy days perfectly. It is surprisingly sophisticated. Once the drydown hits, Incident Diplomatique has this masculine, black leather vibe that it gives off. I know that leather isn't listed in the notes, but that "vibe" is present...if that makes sense. Incident Diplomatique, when worn in the right weather/context, is a phenomenal fragrance. Give it a chance if you're hesitant. You'll be glad you did.

This is nothing like I have smelled before. It was an absolute blind buy based only on a book I read by Annie Ernaux where the lover of the female protagonist was an eastern european diplomat who smelled of heavy and manly perfume (because the name of the fragrance reminded me of the book.. kind of a blunt association). The first sniff. I was absolutely delighted. It is masculine, smoky, heavy patchouli and vetiver, maybe a little boozy. This is not a "friendly" fragrance. It is a distant, cold, indifferent smell. It is well blended, and the ingredients are of a supreme quality. Not a date fragrance, but I used it on a date and got a compliment (a 23 year old female, complimenting this... it really surprised me). It smells of power. It is overwhelming. It is elegant. Lasted solid 5 hours, and then I got whiffs until the 10th hour or so. A friend told me I smelled great like 8 hours from application (6 sprays). I love it. Will buy a back up when I have the money. I used it in a hot and dry day and it went really well. Of course it is more of a colder days frag, but you can pull it off pretty much every day of the year.

A masculine, sexy vetiver. My favorite out of the Jovoy fragrances I have tried thus far. This scent is certainly very masculine. This comes across as a dry, earthy vetiver and patchouli scent with a good dose of nutmeg. I get slightly more vetiver than patchouli on my skin with a slight fruitiness in the opening, presumably from the mandarin. The nutmeg gives a bit of spiciness and its presence is just enough to be known but not too much to distract from the excellent vetiver and patchouli combination. The sandalwood is just noticeable in the dry-down. Due to the dryness and slight spiciness, I feel this would be best worn during Autumn, Winter and cool evenings. Performance for me is excellent. Very long lasting and easily carrying itself throughout the day. Sillage is borderline monstrous. Probably not the best scent for close encounters, but certainly useful for asserting olfactory authority. People could smell this fragrance like a fart in a car. Scent: 10/10 (Outstanding) Performance: 9/10 (Excellent)

Vetiver and patchouli are my one of favorite notes in perfumery. So ID was for me a must to try. I couldn’t find decant or sample so I decided to make blind buy. I don’t regret, this is a very good perfume and blending is masterfully done. Upon spraying as majority of the people say there is orangey boozy according which last couple of minutes and after wards patch (the least poweful) nutmeg and vetiver combination dominates until the end. The vetiver here is oudy I meant not very dirty but not clean, rooty soily. I may say ı Love the scent. Staying power is good I got 10-12 hours of longevity but the projection and sillage is very soft, close the skin. You may have Whifts if you fastly move yourself. I was expecting more but maybe the perfume wanted to have classy wibe by making the scent soft. For this kind of scent a little more projection and sillage would be better or at least I would prefer. I would prefer Amouage Dia over this due to more power. But all in all I would rate it 8/10.

Incident Diplomatique by Jovoy Paris is an elegant fragrance with sour citrus notes to juste pulvérisé given by mandarin, which immediately give way in the dry to a solemn earthy and smoky ascending riot of imperious and variegated vetiver, enriched by a pleasant note of nutmeg épices , in the dry down the masterful review of refined vetiver magically combines with the warm spicy / aromatic accords of sandalwood and patchouli creating an olfactory symphony of rare beauty. Incident Diplomatique by Jovoy Paris is an olfactory experience that enhances the sublime quality of vetiver, breaking the historical prejudice that makes it a traditional masculine fragrance, finally and totally this obsolete cliché decays. Personally I find this prestigious work exciting to my sense of smell. Sillage boises / smoky of sublime beauty, over time it turns into a delicate and impalpable spicy / aromatic. Fabulous.

We are gathered here today to remember our beloved friend and lover, Older Formulation Incident Diplomatique (OFID). OFID was always cut above other men, with rich nuances of bourbon vetiver, slightly smoky, nutty Java vetiver, oily sandalwood/amyris, and patchouli. The piercing and mentholic nutmeg will never be forgotten. His elegance and class was unmistakeable and always turned heads. OFID will be suceeded by his only son, New Formulation Incident Diplomatique (NFID, 2021), who is overall thinner, weaker on skin, muskier, much less spicy, and more woody. As my decant of OFID comes to an end, and I compare against NFID side by side, wrist against wrist. Oh how I grieve your loss, old friend. This is not just a matter of maceration/maturation. The newer batches are objectively thinner and weaker. A sad ending for a classy fragrance.

I found this fragrance from Sebastian’s YouTube channel and I’m enamored with it. I find my experience with it differs from some. I smell all of the listed notes inside this fragrance yet this fragrance is truly a sum of its parts. To me it has this predominant smokey woody smell- not of ashes but of a campfire currently crackling in front of you. It’s slightly very slightly sweet and spicy from the nutmeg. It’s deep and mysterious but never challenging. Somehow while being mysterious it’s also incredibly refined. This could definitely be worn dressed up. It always feels like the warmest of hugs. I’m not typically one who enjoys the smokey variety of vetiver but it really works here. Again I’m enamored with this fragrance and recommend it to anybody. Longevity and performance are no slouch either on my skin.

What an exquisite blend of grassy, earthy vetiver and patchouli! Best reserved for the over 30s and for very formal occasions, this juice will make you feel like a prince. Other reviewers have described the opening as harsh, but I do not find it so. I find it smooth and refined from the get-go. Definitely more masculine leaning, this fragrance is made with high quality long-lasting ingredients, which justifies the somewhat high price. The real magic comes in the ever-changing dry-down, which keeps you coming back for more as it evolves on your skin with hints of mandarin and nutmeg coming through. I have not worn it out enough to see if it garners compliments, but will report back. To be honest I don't mind if there are not many compliments because just smelling it on myself takes me to a higher realm.

Of the Jovoys, I've only tried Private Label, and now Incident Diplomatique so far. I like Private Label but I feel its too strong and has too many things going on that I can neither understand nor appreciate. This, however, is more my speed. More straightforward, smoother, and a better scent overall IMO. I love this. I sense a versatile Patchouli-Nutmeg in this with the Vetiver there as more of support. I can't sense any orange or sandalwood at all. A very unique, classy fragrance. The performance is pretty good -- its still omnipresent 7 hours after first spray -- but it doesn't make as big a statement as Private Label, which can fill a room. This one is a bit more subtle and people-friendly. Got several compliments this morning walking through the office. Made me feel like a million dollars, LOL.

Idk if this is for me bc I already have enough vetiver scents but if I didn’t own them I’d buy this. On one arm I’m wearing Goutals Grand Amour and this on the other and I’m having such an exquisite time luxuriating in their tug of war. It’s more of a dance though as these would be the two scents enemy spies wear as they seduce each other at a discotheque in Russia. I’m not a manly guy at all but I’ve discovered that the more u get into perfume the more you really can appreciate masculine scents for being much deeper than you thought they were as a novice. Almost everything becomes unisex but I can’t still tell that it would be interpreted as a man’s cologne to the average person. Beautiful transcendent scents like these make this hobby worth all the money I blow on it

Jovoy has a real knack for creating beautiful, enduring, natural smelling fragrances. Incident Diplomatique is one of the finest vetiver and woods fragrances I have smelt. This is unlike the herbaceous-green vetivers you may have come across in the houses of Hermes or Guerlain. Rather, this is an earthy, nutty, damp, soil-like creation. The nutmeg provides a bit of fresh spice over the base of creamy sandalwood and, despite its presence, the patchouli weaves into and out of the vetiver. It's submissive. Longevity is not incredible, but just about average. This doesn't jump off the skin, which is preferable here - this is something intimate and special. The person who wears this is deliberate and confident. Not mass-appealing. Old school. Luxurious. Incredible.

Male! Blind purchase I felt safe with. Reminiscent of 70s-80s but this one has an extremely nice modern mix that shows Niche at its best! The vetiver (there are two) means one is smokier and the other calmer. Patchoulin can for some come quickly but for me after about 2 hours which calms it all down even if Patchoulin is not the weak but is more earthy. It starts with some type of citrus that for me disappears relatively quickly. I guess this one is so special in a positive sense so many people may be disappointed with the smoky Vetiver which is strong in the beginning but I love perfumes that are reminiscent of the 70s and 80s and have an extra modern niche twist like this. Very nice mix and Jovoy seems to make quality perfumes in my opinion. 10/10

I really find it a great and wonderful perfume. Nothing to add to the other magnificent reviews written before mine, I can only say that this perfume is of disarming elegance and quality. A perfume that opens with a wonderful citrus / vetiver mix, a fragrance with a wonderful vetiver, note that I don't like some perfume, but in this I must say it's wonderful. The nutmeg note gives it a very slight spiciness, the patchouli at the bottom makes it a masculine perfume par excellence. Jovoy is a historical and quality brand, fantastic raw materials and no chemical scent. Elegance and refinement to sell, I love it. I want. Recommended.

So Incident Diplomatique for me is quite the enigma. First let me say, I love it. Its so familiar, yet so unique at the same time. One one hand, it reminds me of super dark camp-firey frags like Slumberhouse Jeke but on the other hand it smells like nothing ive smelled before. My guess is most who typically dont like vetiver, which I typically do not, are going to shy away from this expecting a very abrasive vetiver note, but to my nose I dont get that. I just get an extremely pleasant and extremely smooth blend of sexy smokiness that isnt too smoky. I know that sounds weird but get your nose on it and youll know what I mean.

An intoxicating scent. It keeps me getting back to it. A simple yet elegant blend of vetiver with patchouli. The vetiver doesn't come harsh or needly, rather soft and creamy. The Patchouli is detectable, but takes a supporting role to push that vetiver "butter" further and further. Really sublime. Performance is good, with it lasting to 7 hours on skin. Projection is classy with a good scent trail for an hour or two. This is the vetiver scent to convert someone who doesn't like the note. More on the masculine side. I bought it without sampling, and I'm quite pleased with what I've done.

This is my first review on Fragrantica. Excuse me my broken english and non professionalism. Incident Diplomatique by Jovoy Paris is extraordinary, outstanding, radically 'masculine' scent without any sweeteness. Opposite to 'crowd-pleasers', 'panty-droppers' etc.. I like that concept very much. Sharp, medecinal at opening, softer, smoother at drydown. For my nose this fragrance is in the same niche like Yatagan by Caron, but maybe less complex, more linear, without pine and herbal notes. But maybe deeper at the same time. I love both. Longevity 36+ hours on my skin. Silage moderate.

In my opinion, Incident Diplomatique is the best patchouli perfume among the (non-vintage) perfumes available in the market right now. The harmony of vetiver and patchouli is unique. It has an addictive structure. It's like a more tame version of private label. I am very happy that I bought a full bottle, I don't think I will ever get bored. It's been 2 years and it still continues to surprise me and make me smile every time I wear it. Jovoy's best perfume in my opinion. Its performance is a tap below Private Label, but still not bad. It can be used anytime except hot summer days.

I know there is alot of hype behind this brand and recently I have bought all their samples and tried them all alot of Jovoy fragrances are pungent and in your face that they are almost unwearable however having said that this is not your typical Jovoy fragrance, it is so unique so different the combination of patchouly and vetiver works, blended to perfection and the longevity forget about it 8 hours easy! and there is an addictive aspect behind the scent I just want to shower in it, I completely understand the diplomatic incident this fragrance has caused. 9/10 buy it.

I love this, but am I the only one who detects Jubilation XV by Amouage here? And the strange thing is that it doesn't appear in the "Reminds me of..." list, but rather in the "People who like this also like..." lineup. How odd. Both these scents are decadent and rich, but I.D. is probably drier, at least to my mind. Amouage feels richer, thicker (although only slightly), but one thing's for sure: neither of these is for jeans and a T-shirt. These are boss scents, and for dress-up, more formal occasions. I'd recommend I.D. for cooler seasons, or cool summer nights.

Update: I resampled this recently and immediately bought another bottle. I don’t know what to say except I’m a bit embarassed I got rid of it! was probably over spraying it lol. So good! this checks all boxes for the perfect vetiver. Perfectly earthy, rooty and grassy while still smelling nice! great performance and a compliment getter while being unique! Easier said than done with quite possibly the most common perfume ingredient! My only criticism is that I do find the nutmeg to be dosed a bit too high. Honestly that’s just being knit picky though. 10/10

Update: I recently bought a new bottle and want to talk about reformulation! Yes, I think it has been reformulated but I think it’s a good thing imo as new ID seems to be easier to wear. The new formula I feel is definitely lighter/airier and has less of a rooty vetiver in it. The biggest difference between the two though is the new one has a ton more mandarin in it! Older ID is a very rooty/oily vetiver with tons of nutmeg and barely any mandarin. Just something to keep in mind. I’d be curious to know if anyone else thinks it’s been reformulated?

Very nice perfume, the first couple of time i used i could not smell it i do not know why, but then a month later i used a full week for work and this is a master piece, something i needed in my small collection. Is very similar to Monsier by Frederic malle, but this is less of crowd pleaser, less refined and more boozy, that is way i prefer this one. Brilliant for my point of view. This sent speaks for you -i am the boss, i am here to talk business so cut the BS, so that will be for tough meetings as this has carisma and is intimidating.

This is without the doubt, one of the best fragrances I have ever tried. Super classy, super unique and well performing. It has everything I love (patchouli, vetiver) but ID has pushed it to another dimension. The one I thought was impossible to reach, especially after all that stuff I tried before. It is good to know that even if you try hundreds of fragrances, there still could be some that could blow you away. Scent: 10/10 Performance: 9/10 Versatility: 7/10 (this is where it lacks. It is best for work/formal/special occasions)

Nicely balanced a different take on powerful vativer, pathcholy and earthyness just done with perfection! I found vetiver and patchouli challenging to wear except summer and rainy days but it blended so well together, it's actually very unique.. So will work on colder weather but you need to know when to pull the trigger on! FOR Summer and then rainy day type of weather also compliments the profile! Good projection and long lasting Masculine scent! Immediately remind me of after rain effect, lost inside a forest 😊 My Rating 8/10

Right up front you get the nutmeg- patchouli- rooty vetiver and Sandalwood. Nutmeg doesn’t last long and soon after the mandarin comes in sweetening the fragrance significantly. As with other Jovoy fragrances such as Psychedelique you can kind of pick up boozy, smoky and leathery touches. extremely well blended and unique composition. To me the vibe of the fragrance is mature and classy but I think anyone who dresses up stylishly can pull it off. Somewhat versatile vetiver that is unique lasts long and projects moderately.

Extraordinary. A stunning incense/slight smoke/warm spice with nutmeg perfectly balancing the whole. Unisex or certainly not masculine on my skin. Formal perhaps, though I wore it on a long difficult travel day and found it helped me focus. My skin "sweetens" most scents so what for others might be austere is for me more opulent. I prefer incense spice rooty iris leather but steer clear of the sour cumin or immortelle that my skin exaggerates (if this is helpful).elegant,confident and v interesting to take anywhere

A beautifully executed vetiver fragrance. The star here is the vibrant green Haitian vetiver, presented in a way that feels polished, approachable, and highly wearable. A touch of orange in the opening adds brightness, while hints of patchouli and sandalwood provide a smooth foundation. The result is versatile, sophisticated, and effortlessly easy to wear, with solid longevity and projection. There's even something about it that reminds me of a well-crafted cocktail. Fresh, refined, and incredibly enjoyable.

Drop-dead gorgeous and elegance in a bottle. It has the depth and richness of patchouli and the smokiness of my beloved vetiver. The combination of these two notes exude such an incredibly rich and luxurious scent trail that I actually had a woman say "My God you smell good!" Certainly not a bargain basement fragrance, but literally one spray will do you. For my tastes it simply doesn't get any better. It's not a 'heat of the summer' fragrance, but also not necessarily a 'dead of winter' fragrance either.

I really like this however I hardly get any of the notes mentioned. I get a little powdery balsamic almost Oud but earthy smell with some spices thrown in. It’s not bad but I don’t smell Vetiver or citrus or patchouli at all. It’s very nice actually but nothing like I expected. I’d say sample this one if you like it because it smel,s nothing like what you think IMO. Projection and sillage aren’t great on my skin but your results might vary. I still bought a bottle because it does smell very good

This is straight up bottled masculinity. Dry, earthy, cold, rugged, tons of vetiver. However, the scent trail carries a certain brightness, if you will, that prevents the scent from being suffocating. Truly unique, one-of-a-kind scent profile. Evokes the feeling of melancholy and wet concrete in a rainy, foggy weather. Yet, Incident Diplomatique is undoubtedly luxurious and opulent. Performance in my 2021 bottle is nothing short of fantastic. This is the pinnacle of niche perfumery.

Now this is very nice and enchanting with it's vetiver and patchouli combo. It opens up with a citrus vetiver and patchouli which is slightly sweet and spicy. The vetiver is smoky and sits on the patchouli. So when you smell it up close you can detect the earthy patchouli and from a distance the smoky vetiver is more detectable. There is something compelling about this scent that I find irresistible. The longevity and projection are very good. Thumbs up!

Well i'm a big fan of vetiver and have sampled quite a few vetiver scents over time. This one blew me away, it was love at first sniff! I bought a full bottle right away! Such a rich, earthy, strong and masculine smell! The vetiver, patchouli and nutmeg combo gives of a very nice scent that is classy and gentlemen like. Most Jovoy fragrances are strong and dense. This stuff will fill up a room with ease.. so don't overspray :D

Well if you like Terre D’Hermes and wanted something that performs you just found it. I get a citrus opening with a huge dose of vetiver with supporting patchouli pushing that projection and a touch of sandalwood. Does anyone do patchouli better than Jovoy? Great scent. Great performance. Great value. On my second bottle in about 7-8 years. You know if you have a decently sized collection rebuying is a good sign.

What an amazing scent! I had tried it multiple times and couldn't figure it out at first but, also, I couldn't forget about it. So, i finally got it last week. It is a very masculine, deep and classy yet original scent. I didn t even pick up on the various types of vetiver until i read about them and now the scent makes more sense. It is bold and strong, powerful but not in a cheesy, vulgar or overpowering way.

My favorite Jovoy perfume, I just can't get enough of this! This is perfectly balanced scent for me, greeny and earthy vetiver, without going in the dirty challenging territory . Very masculine, strong, classy and elegant. It is a mature scent for sure that might not appeal to younger crowd. Not a monster compliment grabber but i don't see it offensive or off-putting to others. Will always be in my collection.

another one by Jovoy that I really fall in love with. all jovoys have special quality and last-longing and this one is not excepted.opens with a bitter orange note and continues with the green bitter vetivery note that make this one more mature and masculine. suitable for men who are 30+.i hear about reformulations and lack of long-lasting. don't know but that one I test was beast. without hesitation 10/10.

Vetiver can be smoky, but this has a different kind of smokiness. Beautiful green mix of vetiver and patchouli, mostly vetiver. A touch of nutmeg can be detected as well. It feels like they stripped vetiver from its most dirtiest aspects but it's still vetiver, still beautiful. This one leans formal as the name also suggests, but if you don't live in a hot climate this could be a great signature fragrance.

luxury scent, for someone signature worth. I personally prefer psychedelique.... I also had incident diplomatique, I didn't like the excessive soapiness, I gave her away. but then I smelled it on someone at the airport (I have no proof that it was exactly that smell.) but it was like I was brought back to memories of that scent. I'll probably have to get it again sometime. exceptional unisex leans for man.

Update after 2 years: i now have over 400 bottles and this is in my top ten It is a true masterpiece with no equivalent. Update several months in: I got another bottle and that could be all you need to know. This is such a potent, unique, deep, addictive scent! What a masterpiece! One of the most unique scents i have tried (i own around 80 high end fragrances). Deep, warm, classy, a bit boozy and sweet.

I'm wearing this as I type. I sprayed it before 2 hours and I'm loving the feel of this perfume. I seriously don't get what's there to dislike in this perfume. If you don't like the smell of patchouli or vetiver, don't even think about this. This is very classy elegant. For some reason I'm getting a powdery musky vetiver, which is something I haven't come across earlier with designers. Rating: 9/10.

Best Vetiver scent profile ever! Realistic and mature! Beautiful Composition! Even If you don't like Vetiver patchouli combo, you might like it.. Might be the sandalwood played the balance game with nutmeg! It's for mature man obviously! Performance is also good.. Still try before you buy... And Vetiver patchouli lovers might take shower But don't over spray please 😊

My aunt had a Tobacco field. They put harvested tobacco in Wooden chalets with Sealed roof [with wood ] and Semi open Sides to make it dry. We have been in the fildes and chalets many times with my Cousins . This fragrance has no tobacco note, but really resembles that chalets Scent . Perhaps it was Concept of perfumer?! Any way, it is on my top five.

I really like this since for me it smells like wet earth + woody. Completely formal fragrance, but at the same time it is not just for specific occasions. I’ve been wearing this for office / informal parties / bar and works really well. Price point is great for the kind of luxury fragrance you get. A must have and a bullseye for Jovoy.

Not at all scary or too dark or damp. It's nice, fresh, and cooling. Earthy, sure, but primarily fresh and cool. The orange as blended here is I guess what is reading as lemongrass to me. As a result what this reminds me of first is a vietnamese lady. Strong and long lasting - I wouldn't overspray. This is perfectly unisex imo.

I don't normally care for vetiver because it's so overused in fragrances, but this one i just LOVE! It's classy, and very manly smelling. It does have a resemblance to the 80's scents, but oh so good! 1rst application i was reminded of Jubi 25 ..full bottle on the way! Lasts forever with good projection..

Got noticed in a good way at my work in a large room. The male manager said the fragrance carried well into the hallway and the other room. Confirmed great sillage. He thought it a combo of Old Pice and another common one, so likely his experiences with quality fragrances was limited. He did like it.
