Musc Pallas Jovoy Paris Rare case that Ambrette can blends so well with crisp clean white musk and retains it lightness. When it open with Ambrette, I was yeah alright, not too overly sweaty. Normally I never faced Ambrette that light and airy.. But, when It move to that clean white musk heart that feel almost overly crisp. Gorgeous, I think this is outstanding one. ===== Extension 1 on June 12, 2024. After I sniff, Musc Pallas. Thank to you. I am understand ambrette more and I am appreciate Ambrette. The point is, if you sniff awarely. You will smell outer shell of Ambrette musk with White musk inside, yet soft iris feel, like classic masculine interpretation shown and this is the reason, I love this since first sniff. suggested case, 1957 is far end white musk. No.18 is ambrette musk, the point is they have tendency to blends together. But Musc Pallas, still blends the way all 3 ingredients strongly stay predominantly. This could be most balance of both profile. A plus is, this is not amber base. It doesn’t sharp at all. Must be Muscenone that ground the scent. I can only assume. I don’t recall anything blends this way. Perhaps, allow me to test you a bit more, you are most likely become my first Jovoy... ===== Extension 2 on June 13, 2024 In the website they mention ocean spray, I think it refers to this radiance, ozonic like quality. That crisp white musk heart, soft airy fruity ambrette floating. Can’t resist. I retest this today and this jump out, radiance from my skin. I think Musc Pallas will be my first Jovoy.. ===== Extension 3 on Jan 26, 2025 I hit the club last night. I wear Musc Pallas, litely layer UNE ROSE on top. I sprays on my body and ride the motorcycle. I got compliments from stranger. He told me that.. I smell like Jasmin, I saw his eyes - I think it is the best describe from him. He asked me what I wear.. Well. I just answer it is "French Fragrance". Gotta keep the secret.. but I will let your guys know.

Musc Pallas won my heart very quickly: it reminds me so much of one of my grandmothers -- and I do NOT mean that in the unkind, ageist "this smells like a grandma" way that too many people use to describe musky, aldehydic scents, but as in -- this really reminds me of how she smelled; the only perfume I know of she wore was Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds -- which, coincidentally, does share some of the same notes (musk, bergamot), but it’s more about her essence Musc Pallas captures: it has a vintage vibe, yes (and that's what I love most about it), but it somehow still manages to smell modern and timeless. It lives in the same world as Sonic Flower, Narciso for Her, Glossier You but is so much more compelling to me with the addition of iris, peach, and that vintage touch. I find this super comforting with solid longevity and the perfect amount of projection, cocooning you in a beautiful musky scent bubble. I love this for reminding me of my lovely grandma - I have nothing but fond memories of her, so finding a perfume that triggers such a strong, positive scent memory is a true gift! I'm discovering that Vanina Muracciole is fast becoming one of my favorite perfumers! I've yet to come across one of her creations that I'm ambivalent about. Musc Pallas could be worn in any situation, any time of year - a very easy and enjoyable reach!

To me this smells like the bubbles from a bath. Clean, sweet, fresh. I love wearing this anytime, but especially to bed. To me, this is a very light scent - projects rather intimately. However I was at work and two people told me they could smell me from across the room (they liked the scent, but said it was very strong). One person didn't notice. Later that day, I went out to lunch and the woman preparing the food, standing five feet away from me, over onions, and behind a glass barrier asked me what I was wearing because she loved it so much. She brought her sister, the owner, over and she could barely smell it unless she put her nose to my wrist! I think this is a case where some people may be slightly anosmic to this scent, but one thing is for sure - it is a crowd pleaser. But be careful how you spray because it may be more powerful than expected to some noses.

Got a sample of this in my recent hunt for the perfect musk. On paper, it felt a little vintage for my current taste. But I decided to try it on clean skin this morning and holy hell. This is really good if you like to smell shower fresh / like a bar of soap. A timeless unisex shower fresh. Has that clean, sun warmed hair thing going on. Smells like a person who really has there act together, but isn’t showy about it. Reminds me of tennis culture but I’m not sure why. I just layered it with Sonic Flower to get a little more of a sweet hit, and I’m loving them together. Seems to be helping Sonic Flowers longevity. Great “everything shower” scent if you are not big on gourmands.

This is like crack to me! Such a lovely ethereal and sweet musk! It feels soothing, clean but has a delightful sweetness (not cloying at all). The iris blends beautifully with the tonka bean and the musk making it very feminine, airy and slightly floral. Perfect for everyday office use and relaxed days at home. Great longevity with intimate projection. I want this to be my skin scent forever so I just ordered a full bottle EDIT: Wore this for a couple of days and longevity is a beast! Could smell it on my hair after 24Hrs. Totally agree with the comment below, this scent is your skin but better. Not Synthetic at all, just a cloud of calming fairy dust

I am currently smelling 20 different clean musk scents side by side, and this is the standout for me. This is a PERFECT musk; absolutely harmonious blend of white musk, iris, ambrette, with fruity undertones. It's powdery without feeling ionone-y, and almost feels chocolatey. It feels like iris, musk and cherry, with the LITTLEST sliver of white chocolate shavings. Not a gourmand in any way, just something naturally desserty in here. Soapy, powdery, a little cherry booze, and sweet in a very skinlike way. update -- I wish the drydown were a little better; it's been a few hours and it starts to get a little washed up on skin.

This is a soft, dry musk that has a slight hint of peach. I have several musk fragrances in this 'dry' category. To me 'dry' means not sweet or thick with other heavy notes. This is clean and lasts a long time. Still doesn't project much at all but enough that your family or loved ones may notice. Completely non-offensive. It's perfect for spring if you need something no one else will likely be wearing and Jovoy blends their fragrances extremely well.

Smells like dryer sheets and candle wax. Im FERAL for it!!! Definitely shot up to my Top 5. Ive been deep diving into musks and this right here is it for me. Shes soapy, sweet, musky, clean and slightly fruity with that touch of peach. Smells like youre blowing out a birthday cake next to a pile of clean laundry. Back to when i was younger, i would go to this beautiful local shop of expensive clothes and there was always a distinctive smell in the air that i loved. When i had the chance to buy something there i would be obsessively smelling it and really waiting to wash it. This perfume is exactly like this smell. I would bath my clothes of it if i wasn’t prone to headaches. I’m testing the longevity on my skin rn.

A STUNNING crystal clear musk with the softest iris touch. However this is sadly too gentle, too discreet, the epitome of skin scent. If money was no object, I’d bathe myself if this for the ultimate clean scent. But it seems pointless to spend money on almost nothing. Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible manages to scratch the itch for a similar vibe and much less a price (at a discounter).

Typically I hate musks but this has altered my brain. I find this irresistible and enchanting. I think of ice skating on a frozen pond with a white fur jacket. If snowflakes have a scent then this'd be it. This creates a fluffy, cozy scent cloud which is gonna have people falling in love with you. It’s so so good that I want to rub my face into the neck of whoever wears this.

Clean, soft, powdery sweetness. Projection is great for such a delicate scent. It’s so airy, well-blended and musky. This is as soft as wearing cashmere. Feminine, innocent and pretty. Drydown is sweet and creamy. Perfect for daytime and office, can be used any time of the year. Only minus is longevity, as it only lasts a couple of hours.

This fragrance doesn’t announce itself with fireworks. Instead, it exists in the periphery. A magnetic haze that seems part of your skin, part of the air around you. It’s the scent of proximity when someone leans in close, breath mingling, and you feel the slightest brush of warmth that makes your pulse flutter.

This is without a doubt, one of the cleanest, most beautiful musk fragrances that I’ve ever smelled in my life. It’s classy and just enough. The review of blowing out candles on a birthday cake next to the cleanest most fluffy laundry you have ever smelled is spot on. It’s a 10 out of 10 in my book.

what a beauty! another winner from Jovoy i have now sprayed it twice it starts with a strong but vaporous iris and vanilla scent, with a bit of musc to me, it smells a bit like JPG Le Male, the original from the 90's but softer after an hour or so, the musc comes out and blasts for hours

This is just incredible. I don’t even like iris!!! But there is just something so enchanting and magical about this. Velvety stonefruits, snowfall, and fluffy blankets. This is the ultimate comforting clean musk that will work year round.

Musc Pallas reminds me of a peach-flavored chewed-up gum with a slight sweetness in a best way. It has a sweet, clean musk with a slightly powdery note. MP is adequate for everyday use except in summer. It starts with a peach-like sweet scent, but it’s not fruity. Iris doesn't play an immense role here, so Musc Pallas has more of a clean aspect than powdery. I couldn’t find bergamot, but it has a fresh vibe at its start. Then it dries down to ‘your skin but better’ scent. It reminds me of a sweet, introverted girl with a shy smile. It leans slightly feminine, but men could pull this off, too. Sillage and longevity are very desirable for my preference. It floats around your skin for a long time so that I can catch a sniff when I move. Not too intense, not too weak. This delicate scent FLOATS around you like a satellite. Nowadays, I regret that I sold it some time ago because of its slightly synthetic note, but I might repurchase it someday! edit) I bought it, and I love it! I’m sure it’ll be my signature scent. clean musks. there is something that feels "snowy" about musc pallas. airy, fluffy light, yet cold and with something a bit metallic and even...salty? Also somehow reminiscent of Turkish delight without being saccharine. This is a very pretty and likable scent, but ultimately, I'm underwhelmed, especially coming from Jovoy (a house I adore) as I'm used to their scents being a bit more challenging. I would buy this for someone who likes simple, clean, and pretty scents but wants something a little less ubiquitous than say, dedcool milk. edit: showered with this on me and now the muscenone is dominant and all the other notes have vanished. now it smells pleasantly like my grandfather's cologne from the 70s. interesting development but still not wowed. Ok edit AGAIN (a week later): I bought a full bottle lol. I just kept thinking about this scent. Although it’s not an incredible groundbreaking or complex perfume, I find it comforting enough that I needed to buy. Many things can be true at once...

I don’t own a full bottle of this, but I did receive this as a sample from an order I placed with a seller on Mercari when I bought Teo Cabanel “Ohh La La”. I just now applied this Musc Pallas about 20 minutes ago. This is a beautiful skin scent. Not my typical scent profile, but it’s definitely really nice. On my skin I can smell the ambrette and iris, and it smells delicious. I asked my husband what he thought, and his response was “Eh” lol. I usually wear loud beast mode, or gourmand/lipsticky/incense kind of fragrances, and I really don’t think he appreciates this for what it is. I actually like it a lot. My husband opinion matters, so unfortunately this blotter is all I will be able to experience with this skin but better fragrance. It really is pretty though no lies told here. It’s better than Glossier you in my opinion. Not much to it, but it’s really nice and mellow. If your into light and airy musks, you will probably adore this. Reminds me of fresh laundry sheets and skin lol.

I was not expecting to like this at all. I’m already deep into musk fatigue, so I assumed Musc Pallas would be another pleasant but forgettable musk. Guess I misjudged that one. To my nose, it feels like Chanel N°5 L’Eau that never turns animalic, leaning instead into its clean, freshly laundered facet. It also brings to mind a more transparent Iris Poudre, especially in its later stages. In theory, this should feel redundant, yet it doesn’t. Musc Pallas is simply far easier to wear than either of the two and feels versatile enough for almost anytime. Other fragrances that came to mind were Parfums Nicolaï Musc Intense and Chanel 1957. Even so, Musc Pallas still smells different enough for me to want a bottle. 8/10 ✨️

This is a really lovely clean musk, slightly sweet, slightly fruity. I have tried other musks (Lake & Sky 11:11, various Phlurs, Glossier You, Nariciso Rodriguez Pure Musc, Liis Studied) and I did not care for them. But this one is beautiful and suits me. I've been leisurely searching for a musk that I love, and I'm so glad I found this. This is a win! I smell a very subtle sweet fruitiness in here. My nose registers it as apple, but it must be the peach. It smells very clean, very sophisticated, very chic.

I thought I would love this one based on the notes. It's not bad, just not what I was expecting. The opening is sweet and musky and clean. I couldn't place the sweetness at first, then when I saw the peach note, it all made sense. The drydown has a powdery earthy quality... like wet soil and baby wipes. It's honestly not bad, just a strange combo. I have many other musk-centric fragrances I enjoy much more than this. Not full bottle worthy for my taste, but it certainly isn't a hard pass.

This is beautiful. I instantly added it to my cart. It's soft, powdery, innocent with just a bit of fruitiness. I'm a sucker for a clean, powdery musk. Highly recommend you get your nose on it. Can be worn casually year round. Probably wouldn't wear it for date night though 😉 If you like scents such as Prada infusion d'Iris, Missing Person, Fleur de Peau, Another 13, Parisian Musc, Dior Homme Intense then you'd most likely also enjoy this one.

I am in love with Musc Pallas. Wonderful clean, laundry, powdery scent. Warm enough not to be too detergent-like. So adorable and so well balanced. Ambrette adds a beautiful touch to usually predictable laundry/clean compositions. Musc Pallas is a very soft perfume, it is not well felt, very subtle, but has a noticeably good longevity. Very unisex, which is not usual for powdery laundry scents.

mixed feelings about this one. it smells like laundry. i don’t get the peach note at all. i feel like this is missing something acidic or citrusy. no warmth at all. not entirely disappointed but not completely in love. i could imagine layering this with PDM valaya or NR pure musc or ELDO ghost in the shell. also, this lasts about 30 minutes. glad i got the 100ml because i’m gonna need it!

starts out very ‘peach skin dryer sheet’ but not harsh. dries down musky and clean, still somewhat maintaining the dryer sheet feel, but it warms up a bit, the ambrette coming through nicely. i think combining powdery iris, peach fuzz, and clean musk is what comes across as dryer sheets. it’s not an unpleasant smell by any means, but i was expecting more from it.

initial test: starts with soft musky iris with a slight metallic backnote. after a couple minutes the metallic disappeared on me. i don't smell the citrus at all. it is not sweet. not soapy. just a very pleasant cloudlike musk skin scent. i enjoy it more than aerin amber musk and more than the narciso musks. this is your skin but better. so far I really like it.

A sweet, pillowy, slightly floral, clean musk. It does have a slight watery freshness without being marine or coconut at all. Compared to the other popular musk fragrances I have tried, this doesn't lean into smelling as synthetic and doesn't have any "pencil shavings" note. Wholly inoffensive and could be worn at any time of day or year.

Succulent, creamy, clean. Luxury in a rooftop poolside. Definitely feminine-leaning but nonetheless very wearable for men if you don't mind the sweeter side (maybe too sweet for hot summers). Would be a fantastic candidate for a signature scent if the muscenone didn't give me headaches.

yummm so fluffy. smells like little sweet powdery candies and clean skin. 7/19/25: update - i have randomly been thinking about this one lately, i feel like a larger decant is in my future to see if a full bottle might be necessary because it’s sooo lovely and soft.

On initial spray, all I got was a strong soapy scent, but then as time went by, I was so mesmerized by the dry down. Just so stunning!!! It’s creamy, musky & powdery. I’m so very pleased with it.

The progression of this one is interesting. Starts out quite light and crisp and over time becomes quite sweet... maybe it’s the peach but I smell something like cherry or almond in here.

I love powdery musky scents so this works for me. It is on the light side with modest longevity. It is dry, not sweet, clean.

It fills a room, leaves a noticeable trail, and lingers long after you've left. People across the room will notice it—and even 15 minutes later, someone walking in might still catch a whiff. Weirdly enough, some people barely smell it at all. It seems to be one of those fragrances loaded with laundry musks that can trigger anosmia in certain people—likely because we’re constantly surrounded by similar scents in everyday products. For those who can smell it, though, Musc Pallas is clean scent heaven with surprising power.

More like Musc Pallid, for my tastes at least. What immediately comes to mind is Snuggle bear falling onto a pile of linens all trampoline-like, wrapping himself up in a blanket, giggling and cooing. This is layer after layer of white musks with Muscenone ganache and sealed in Ambrettolide fondant. There is nothing vaguely furry mammal (of the real kind) here, it's all cuddly soft and laundry clean, which is why it feels a little *too* comfortable: not a single olfactory receptor lights up from a thrill or challenge. We are reading Highlights Magazine here, not Tess of the d'Urbervilles. There is also something here that reminds me of the scented erasers girls would use in elementary school in the 80s, with images of Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake on them. It's pretty, it's innocent, it makes me go zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

this is very interesting and not what I expected. I get a strong almost pool/chlorine note throughout - almost like thick, warm water? must be the ambrette.. wish i got more or the bergamot and peach but alas. longevity is stellar but still feels soft and not overpowering. unique and well-blended but ultimately because of how the ambrette presents it is just not for me. definitely not a blind buy
