Touche Finale

Lipstick -lipstick & more red lipstick written all over it💋 the same whiff of cosmetics from Lets say it’s sister Rouge Assassin - so classy, with a touch of , as it seems to me , tiny bit of ink and non suffocating powdery flowers! What a masterful combo with understated rose for lipstick lovers! After searching for that perfect lipstick without indolic “dirt“ / cigarettes / grandma purse or girly candy cotton vibes - I have found this gem : the whole modern experience of Wearing a quality Cosmetics in a stylish high end boutique. I won’t even bother to compare JTF with the waxy opulence of FM Lipstick Rose, or L’Artisan Drole de Rose etc or Moulin Rouge by HDP, or Misia by Chanel, which are well deserved classics of the perfumery world and so loved by me too: those are different dimensions of cosmetics fragrance - more retro , opulent and rose based, slightly tarnished by the mix of mascara, cigarettes and expired compact powder in a purse. I needed the lipstick smell non obliging me to wearing fur or fish-nets 😉Neither will I compare it to MM Lipstick on or Guerlain’s Black Perfecto - those are sweeter and almost gourmand. Jovoy TF is a modern lux take on the classy expensive lipstick , in my opinion, without reference to any particular flower, almost synthetically pleasant addictive vibe of the seductive red Lipstick, accompanying me all through the day (longevity is impressive btw for the linearity to hold 4-5 hrs on me), irrespective whether I am in the office, in the bar, theatre or bedroom. Does it project ? Oh yes, an airy trail is noticeable - and what reaches the noses of the by-standers is that very Modern red lipstick.By the way the scent is totally unisex - the male sales assistant in Jovoy boutique, who introduced the scent to me, smelled good enough for me to be totally drawn to the Jovoy stand, where I just picked this and Sens un Mots (a sweeter and more powdery version of Touché Finale. It was hard to choose between the both. Bottom line: I am quite happy with rounding up my lipstick fragrance collection with 3 which I think masterpieces of modern lush lipstick scents collection: Rouge Assassin, Touche Finale and Sens in Mot. Just to re-iterate: I do have FM LR, MM LO and by no mean undermine those - I love them and those are my special occasions and “opulence” mood scents, but for a modern cool red lips and expensive suit vibe I found my perfect final touch.

I'm slipping into a sheer white robe with a fluffy pink collar and fluff around the sleeves. I'm fresh out of the shower, but my makeup is perfect. I have on a bright matte red lip and my skin is flawless like porcelain. I'm dripping in white gold and diamonds. My hair is perfectly coiffed. I saunter over to the vanity and pull out my bottle of Touché Finale, which is conveniently rebottled in a vintage atomizer with one of those oversized spray mechanisms. It's also embellished with some sort of fluff. I liberally spray it on my chest, shoulders, and neck and then I kick off my kitten heels and sink into a bed filled with soft, fluffy white pillows and linen. My femininity is larger than life and I don't care one bit whether I ever leave the confines of my fluffy sanctuary to share the enormity of my glamour with suitors or passers by. I have no cell phone, no laptop, no burdensome work or other life responsibilities. I plan my day by the minute based on how I'm feeling. My activities consist of pure and unadulterated, old-school hedonism. I know this and I don't feel as if I should be doing things differently. I carry no shame. This is how I feel when I put this on. It's dramatic and over the top but it's definitely accurate. After the dry down I am reminded of Datura Noir, but edgier and the Heliotrope is not as sharp or as nauseating. In love with this - with Heliotrope scents, I tend to want to wear them to bed - the smell is so comforting in a maternal way but also somehow feel erotic and sensual at the same time. Perfect for sleep and sex.

Touche Finale (Sniff from Fragrance Party) Touche Finale as the name mention, As I feel from this fragrance it is directly translated to "A Touch to Finish". When you use your pinky to clean the edge of newly applied rouge, perfection your lip shape. You use your steam iron to remove minimal wrinkle, Pleated the certain aspect of dress. Or you use powder brush to remove excess powder from your face, lightly applied Guerlain Meteorites after. Touche Finale, give that impression of perfection something with left over 2%. This smell like you have applied the make up for a while and everything start to settle down. Giving the nice ambient of grooming cover around you. From note listed, I can't pick up any distinguish note. Touche Finale is delicate floral-powdery scent. It is dry-powder, musk and powdery sandalwood. It is on a dryer side of powdery scent. It just a powder concoction perfection in soft, sweet, clean way. Like, the precision blend of all powder materials to the perfection. I like it so much..

Touche Finale is lovely. this seems to be a “lipstick/powdery blush/face powder” scent, WITHOUT the waxy dirty leather that is so often in these types. I do smell the mimosa. I’m a mimosa lover having had L’Artisan Mimosa Pour Moi and Nicolai Mimosaique and Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom. the mimosa gives this a cleaner and brighter lift. I also get a lot of heliotrope. I find this to be a happier & sunnier make-up scent. I’m going to keep testing this to see if a fb is necessary. (to be fair, it is not necessary for me to buy anymore damn bottles, but I’m a fiend.) Like this much more than Rouge Assassin because that is truly lipstick-y with the waxy, dirty, leather quality. PS sharing that Goutal’s Etoile d’Une Nuit is another lovely rice powder scent which is happy and not dirty. Not especially lipsticky but nice make-up iris-violet powder fragrance. Figured I’d share findings on my quest.

Touche Finale has a very similar vibe to Infusion de Mimosa by Prada. They both feature a bright combination of mimosa and roses. First time I smelled Touche Finale I thought they were identical, but spraying Touche Finale on one wrist and Infusion de Mimosa on the other there are definitely some differences. Touche Finale is greener at first, it has a spicy opening (pink pepper), then there’s the powdery mimosa and rose combo. Heliotrope, muscs and sandalwood makes the drydown creamy. There’s a dry, powdery sweetness in the background. Infusion de Mimosa has a citrusy opening (orange), then a powdery mix of mimosa and rose. It’s quite linear as the citrus is also present during drydown. It’s sweeter and brighter. Touche Finale lasts a little longer, projection is similar. I love both fragrances.

That first spray - overwhelming lipstick. I don't get the pepper. Then development into something lightly floral, vanillic. I have a hard time picking out individual notes - but I don't get rose, or pepper, maybe jasmine? wood? Certainly a powdery silkiness, smooth and luxurious. Then at times other things as well... makeup, something edible, hints of metal, soap... but I always fall back onto a cloud of soft creamy flowers. Enjoying this ride.

I got absolutely charmed by this one. At first only got a sample but had to buy FB. On me it's lovely. Smells like classy, elegant old money lady (or girl, it's not like it is only for older age). I always picture a well put together woman, wearing effortless dress, with diamond earrings or pearls on neck, heels and perhaps and Hermes bag. Wonderfully feminine and it is worth a full bottle.

If you like your vintage cosmetics smells you will enjoy this so much, unlike scents like Replica Lipstick On this is not so much a iris vanilla lipstick smell, but more like vintage face powder or cold cream, it reminds me a bit of Pond's cold cream but elevated, it's pretty and well-blended and unpretentious and would be worn so well by a vintage fashion lover

Bought the whole Jovoy discovery set. This is the one that was “Love at first sniff” the weather is just turning cool here and this fits the mood. I get rose and wood with the other florals in the back ground, slightly powdery. More dressy than casual. The final touch just before and elegant night out.

Love it!! It’s the type of powdery fragrances I like: fresh (not vintage at all) with some sweetness underneath. It has some aromatic qualities (almost peppery) that reminds me of Archives 69 by ELDO (used to have them) but this one is much softer and more wearable. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

bought it on a whim from jovoy, but it's so delicious. i do have to be careful not to overspray or i get a headache but it's the intoxicating powdery white-musky heliotrope of my dreams so !! i love it

I love mimosa and I love rose and so this is a gem to my nose. Didn't mean that to rhyme. 😄

The opening is really my favorite part even more than the dry down. It is a bit sweet like a violet candy and also something that is almost juicy about it like a 'fruit' or 'bubblegum' note. Perhaps the jasmine? Like a juicy, violet bubblegum. I really like it a lot. Very quickly it gets more powdery and less juicy, it becomes a sophisticated violet with a beautiful woodsy/spicy quality that makes this more interesting than a typical powdery violet/iris perfume. All the notes listed are there, you can really discern them but it is so well blended that the overall composition is very pretty, and feminine. So far the musk hasn't become too dusty or soapy like some white musks tend go on my skin but it's not an animallic or soft kitten musk either. I'm not sure how the votes tallied this way on the notes. I completely agree with Q80 that the mimosa isn't the first and foremost note. It's primarily violet leaves, heliotrope with the rose and mimosa in the background filling in the composition and as secondary /support notes. I really like this perfume and recommend getting a sample if you love violet centric perfumes.

I don't know what kind of magic Vanina Muracciole weaves into her potions that gives me such a vinyl cabbage patch doll head effect, but somehow this effect comes up for me in a number of her scents, including Jeroboam's Gozo and Insulo, Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanilla Cafe and here, in Touche Finale! That said, I LOVE a vinyl doll head note, even when it's unintentional. Touche Final has grown on me. Upon first sampling this, I was a bit taken aback by the floral sweetness (coming from the mimosa / violet combination), and felt this could become tiresome quickly, but as I spent more time with it I began to see its charm. Touche Finale is like a fancy vintage vinyl doll with mimosa scented hair and a tiny violet scented lipstick as an accessory. There's something very addictive about this scent and I find myself craving it. Whether I want to commit to a bottle is another story but I'm definitely enjoying my time with the sample! Final Prognosis: It's too sweet. I will not be picking this up.

Not loud or trendy, just classic and polished. PS: If you like this style, Rouge Assassin by Jovoy is also worth checking out since it sits in the same lane with a slightly more modern twist.

I misjudged this one. I blind-bought it and initially assigned it to being a fragrance exclusively for my store. I only got thin, watery yellow florals and pencil shavings. Not exactly interesting. However, seven months later, I've tried it again. The same composition reads much more beautifully to my nose now. It reminds me of late spring mimosa blooms wafting on the air. The breeze isn't too heavy with heat, but laden with botanical nuances. While my decidedly "meh" reaction hasn't been upgraded to "love" yet, I've reevaluated Touche Finale to a solid like. I see its vision this time around and can imagine how pleasant the scent cloud would be to encounter in the wild. I've added it back to my (rather enormous) rotation.

this opens with a lot of pink pepper and it's also kind of woody. in a few seconds i get mimosa and heliotrope and it becomes more powdery. something underlying smells weird and mildly gross, but it dissipates fairly fast thankfully. a reviewer mentioned the smell of an auto parts store below, and that is reminiscent of what i'm getting, along with heliotrope and violet leaf. i find this quite odd at first but it improves over time and becomes a mimosa/heliotrope/pink pepper scent primarily, but is less sweet than these types of perfumes usually are, i think.

Absolutely my style. Very lovely powder. Heliotrope adds the tenderness, mimosa - that angelic, softly sweet brightness and the other notes, especially violet leaf and rose, deepen it a little bit. This is a mature powdery scent, it is not similar to Lipstick Rose, but it is that category, not a juvenile, baby-ish scent. Yes, similar to Kenzo, but Touche Finale gets more dry, truly more reminiscent of powdery dryness than Flower by Kenzo. Not similar to Violet Blonde, Love, Chloe or Mojave Ghost.

Purchased this for my mother who tends to avoid fragrance because she doesn’t know what she likes and I knew she would be critical of anything that might smell like “old lady”. I smelled countless perfumes before settling on this one: it’s inviting, fresh, youthful, but still sexy and interesting. She loves it and says the longevity is great and she’s received compliments.

Musk, mimosa, jasmine in a slightly dirty way. Should the price be a bit lower, you could even consider FB as a gift for significant other or a female-lover as this is a bit chrome-grey cyber erotic. I do get a vinyl, play-doh, pencil shavings and ink that work as a thinner of those more sweet yellow flower notes.

Vaguely familiar; reminiscent of a fruit cocktail, but anything but... Masterful mix of heliotrope and mimosa. Sweet and powdery musk, with a grapevine twist. Sweet floral overtone. Overall, a very nice and flexible, feminine leaning fragrance. More or less mature. Almost a 😍.

This was is a creamy, sweet, powdery perfume. It's yummy on my skin. I will layer this with violet and vanilla perfumes for fun. I got a 9ml decant from Split Scent. If I use the entire decant within a few months, I'll get a full bottle.

This is beautiful, powdery and feminine. Projection and longevity are good for the price. I’m enjoying my sample.. still debating on wether or not to get a full bottle. If you love powdery fragrances you’ll probably love this.

Touche finale is a big floral explosion. Heliotrope is big in the dry down, and very, very nice. Touche finale feels feminine, more than unisex, duration is excellent as is the projection. In short, a nice and classy perfume.

This a beautiful retro perfume. To me smells like a vintage fabric cosmetic bag with lots of loose powder and lipstick. I really enjoy sniffing it but can't imagine wearing it anywhere apart from home.

Nice powdery scent that would suit the older lady nicely! A creamy mimosa is very prominent here with that metallic "tinge" from violet leaves. Could definitely see this as someone's signature scent :)

First impression with light cotton candy sweet(i dont know why), and after that delightfully combined floral comes, more feminine as a unisex perfume, overall very attractive and my bf loves it.

The fragrance so feminine and sweet that I doubt about wearing it. Smells to me unnatural, though impressive. Violets and roses are delicous, heady and heavy combination. It is balanced with strong powdery hearth (iris) and woody touch of cedarwood. All completes gentle heliothrope in musk settlement. I prefer this scent after a few hours, when it is melted on skin. In that phase, it is enchanting.

Smells just like my old lancome lipstick or like baby powder. I feel like anyone who is into 50s and 60s popular fashion would love this. All the notes are there but the overall effect is lipstick. I guess I get the almond in the background mentioned by another review but I wouldnt have come up with that description myself. Skin scent after 3 hours

I placed an order for several original samples from Jovoy and I’m getting to know the brand for the first time. I pulled a random sample out of the package - it turned out to be Touche Finale. I sprayed it, and instantly smelled Kenzo Flower. From start to finish, it’s very much that “flower.” Maybe just a touch lighter and softer.

A lipstick scent with rose. The rose really comes out on my skin.. almost too much. Very well blended by not for me since once it warms up on my skin it goes 100% rose bomb. Definitely some greeness to this also.. a nice spring scent for rose and violet lovers.

warm crayons, or old lipstick on the edge of going rancid. the musky-sandalwood drydown keeps it modern enough to feel more ’cool girl wearing grandma’s furs’ rather than just old lady-vibes - solid for the vintage lovers, but nothing special.

I dont really get lipstick from this, i mean there is no iris. But on paper i get a slight fruity pear note. On skin generic powdery perfume-y. Hate to say this but it smells like scented menstrual pads lmao. Soweeeeee.....lol

Pleasant, feminine, but not for me. I like mimosa, but not with rose and musk. It is indeed pleasant though and has a nice creamy dry down

This is mostly pink pepper and cedar and slight violet leaf! This is mid range to me. Average projection and sillage.

Trying from a manufacturer's sample. There is a disturbing birch tar note riding underneath this scent, and I don't understand where that is coming from because it is not listed in the notes. It really throws a wrench in this composition for me. It does not smell like leather, but pure birch tar. I can't stop focusing on it, which is preventing me from appreciating or even discerning what the other notes are. I also do not like that borderline gourmand quality to this. All in all, I find this composition very strange and not something I'd want to wear. Fortunately, it washed off easily.

There's no pepper to this at all. It is soft and powdery and feathery and sort of sweet but not in a candy way, just sweet like some makeup can be sweet. Initial: Powdery, very powdery Over an hour: Rosy, powdery jasmine cloud Within 3 hours: Fades to powder skin scent, but in a good way, not like baby powder. Not my type personally, but definitely perfect for the right type of lady - refined, sweet, charming. Reminds of the song God is a Woman by Ariana Grande, I feel like she could pull this off.

I quite dislike, almost hate, this. It’s cloying, nauseating florals in a slightly meaty, plasticky, and playdoughy manner. The violet exudes that flat quality I hate. The soapy florals remind me of toilet cleaner. Something here is simultaneously sour and salty. I think it’s the cedar giving salty resin and mimosa giving puke. It’s actually amazing how much unpleasantness was placed into one. Based on all I’ve smelled so far, this is impressively unique in a terrible way.

I don't like it. I got a sample for free with one of my deliveries. It smells a bit like a cologne. There are some fruits in the dry down. It's very somber and I don't want to smell like that. I will gift the rest of the sample forward

My first impression: it is Rouge Assassin from this range that is supposed to be reminiscent of lipstick, but for me, Touche Finale is closer. Could that be why it is called Touche Finale? The final touch to your maquilage before you sally fourth? The notes say that perfume is the final touch, but this is definitely suggestive of makeup. After a couple of minutes, violet becomes prominent, but as previous reviewers have said, it is violet perfume in a sweet or a cosmetic, not the fresh green violet of the flower. In these first few minutes, it reminds me of Misia from the Les Exclusifs de Chanel range. The next note to come through is almond or marzipan, neither of which are listed in Fragrantica’s notes. There’s also a very slight chemical note, almost like nail varnish, but it’s a long way back in the mix, hiding behind the Parma Violets. A couple of hours in, this has settled down as a skin scent in spite of a relatively lavish spritz. It still reminds me of the inside of a makeup bag.

Exquisitely crafted perfume. Definitely in the direction Flower by Kenzo. The mimosa and heliotrope give a beautiful floral honeyed coumarin sparkle to the bed of thick musks. The musks are powdery and soft, nothing animalic. Some slightly metallic/ozonic aldehydes give it a shimmering lift, though I imagine some will interpret this something reminiscent of vintage women perfumes. In the dry down cedar and sandalwood slowly replace the mimosa and heliotrope. To be completely honest I do not pick up the violet leaf, if anything more like the powdery iris-y violet ionones than the green leaves.

It boggles my mind that another reviewer smells auto shop, as I get nothing dirty, resinous or leathery from this at all! It is a splendid powder bomb, if you're into that sort of thing - I am totally here for it - the ultimate feminine fragrance. Touche Finale is likeable but VERY similar to Flower by Kenzo. That being said I don't get any almond fragrance at the base of Flower like I do with Touche Finale, and almond is not my favorite. I will probably skip a full bottle for these reasons.

I came here for a huge burst of springy mimosa, but I am not getting so much of what remember mimosa to smell like. Heavy on the heliotrope, very powdery, almost make up bag smell but more sweet and subtle, elements of green leaves and pink pepper, and yes, almost a "bubbgle gum" feel too, chewy and almost fruity drydown. Very nice, but I was hoping for more of that springy, dewy mimosa to shine through.

To me this smells exactly like flower by kenzo stick déodorant which was (...does it still existe?) an amazing scent for a deodorant.... but maybe not enough for such an expensive perfume. A lot of mimosa in the opening and héliotrope with warm spicy sandalwood and clean musc at the bottom. Very powdery and soft. It's nice, very nice, low key chic but not very original.

I love this! This smells like an auto parts store full of new never used products in the best possible way! I smell packaging, chrome polish, a tinge of metal & rubber but just a hint...and also the floors have just been cleaned and then a lady with light floral fragrance has entered the building looking helpless as she is desperate to find a falange & monkey wrench.

Mimosa! Really? This is an iris, violet leaves bomb. It's like a cosmetic powder blend of a sweet iris. Violet leaves, heliotrope, sandalwood powder, & red pepper. I can't detect any mimosa! but there are a hazy touch of roses, and jasmines in the back. Cute blend for those who adores iris, & violets (aka cosmetic powder).

Very much violet candy. I love powdery, but not a huge fan of the sweet violet vibe in particular. The dry down is a little more nuanced, strongly sandalwood and musk and the violet blends in a beautiful way. Still not really my vibe, but I can definitely see this on an elegant woman - any age!!

A feminine-leaning fragrance centered around powdery florals that opens with a spicy kick, likely from the pink pepper. I pick up mimosa and violet, the latter standing out the most and creating a soft cosmetic quality. Mature and well composed, although not a style I would personally wear.

Lovely and strong, powdery, full of iris, mimosa and violets. Ever so slightly spicy. Well composed and blended. I would say it is to be worn intimately, stay at home in the reading room, having an afternoon tea or a romantic date. This somehow smells very personal.

Agree with perfumesniffer below. This is a makeup scent without the waxy and old smell that so many makeup fragrances have. I’m surprised this isn’t more popular. Soft, feminine and bright. The brightness keeps it youthful. Definitely my favorite in the category.
