Hakka

The top notes have a strong minty herbal scent—I absolutely love it and can’t stop smelling it! It feels like a vibrant green landscape full of life. The base notes, however, are just okay. There’s a bit of sourness, but I can’t quite pinpoint the exact scent (probably amber, since I don’t like amber). The fresh herbal and minty notes from the beginning fade away.

J-Scent‘s „Hakka“ opens with a wonderful menthol note. It’s not completely icy, but on the warm side of the mint spectrum. It reminds me of Wrigley’s Spearmint bubblegum (or was it Wrigley’s Doublemint? The sweeter one is the one I mean) and makes me feel nostalgic. After about 15 minutes, that lovely minty freshness subsides and a balanced mix of light green leafy notes and white florals becomes prominent. In it’s final stage, from approximately hour five onwards, the musk becomes a dominant note playing with the lily & jasmine combo, while the green notes are fading more into the background. „Hakka“ is mostly an unisex fragrance that slightly starts to lean feminine during the later stages. Due to its simplicity, I find it to be more suited for a younger target group. I really see uncomplicated people in their 20s and 30s wearing this one. This fragrance lasts forever (10h+) and is certainly a good buy if you are looking for an easygoing green with an unusual opening. Also, I would say that this is relatively blind-buy-save as long as you don’t expect an all-the-way crisp mint fragrance. While I‘m still undecided about getting a full bottle I definitely can recommend „Hakka“. TL;DR: Easygoing sweet mint, leaves and white flowers.

I'm not sure if its the mint or there's some menthol in here but when I spray it on, it has a nice cooling sensation. The smell reminds me those chocolate filled mint hard candies. The mint in this is similar to that. As it dries down further the florals start to come out. They smell nice too. Projection seems to be on the lower side but longevity is decent. I'd say this would be a wonderful perfume to wear on a hot summers day cause it will keep you cool.

J-scent Hakka (2019) - green mint - Starts out sharp, green and minty, similar to crushing mint leaves. But as it dries down, it becomes more ambient - with floral notes of Jasmine, woody Cedar contained in a bubble of White musk. Stays closer to skin. Refreshing.

Yummy mint and floral fragrance. The particular mix of florals gives a seductive, sensual undercurrent to the fresh green opening. The middle is a little soapy, and reminds me of Irish Spring. Very nice and fresh, perfect for spring and summer days.

Opening is very fresh and cooling with notes of mint and green herbs As it dries it is less minty but still stays a clean and fresh green scent with some florals in the background I wish the mint stayed a bit longer - think amouage beach hut man

Freshly showered, you've used only the most organic mint and bergamot shampoo and shower gel. You've shaved until your bare skin is pale and gleaming and you have not a single strand of your shiny hair out of place. You don the crispest, cleanest, brightest white cotton shirt that has ever existed and you smile at yourself in the mirror. Your grin is incandescent. You are going to nail this job interview. You are the very essence of productivity and efficiency.

medicinal herbs. For about three minutes I could strongly smell the mint and then it’s just herby.... Like a cream you put on a burn or something. Definitely reminding me of a specific medicinal cream that i cant put a finger on. It’s definitely interesting though. Basically no sillage but it stays for a while. I can’t see myself wearing this because it just deeply reminds me of an ointment.

MOUTHWASH. Then a natural pain cream that smells nice enough when you put it on, but not enough to want to smell like. The opening was so jarring that I actively recoiled from smelling it. The dry down is not so bad, but I will never willingly spray this on myself again.

Nuclear is right. For me, this was as though I accidentally spilled an entire bottle of Listerine on me--with one spritz. I couldn't get over the mouthwash association, unfortunately.

Not mint in a gourmand or toothpaste way, more like rest stop bathroom cleaner.

This is one of the few fragrances I have run into where I felt that it actively physically and mentally repelled me. Subjectively, I don’t typically *hate* any fragrance - I just have ones I don’t particularly care for or I may like them but they give me a headache. This smells like medicinal BO to me and it instantly gave me a headache. This was not for me...

nuclear menthol peppermint! if you spray this prepare for the strong smell of peppermint oil to fill the room for long time im mad at this perfume!

Mint in fragrances is usually subdued and herbal... but this is a strong, toothpaste-like mint

a cross between tea tree (think green and minty) shower gel and lemon shower cleaner. this has an astringent smell that's also just the slightest bit soapy. it actually reminds me a lot of the way my aunt's bathroom in singapore smelled which makes it really nostalgic and quite pleasant lol.

Menthol and mint sledgehammer. I've never smelled mint like this before actually. It's unique. I don't agree with the cleaning-fluid comparisons. It's perfectly wearable on a hot day. Not at all similar to ELDO YOSLY.

Extremely minty and refreshing! Zingy like eucalyptus or peppermint soap. Would be lovely on a hot summer day.
