Yawahada (Soft Skin)

Beautiful and fruity opening with very realistic Pear note. The style is like in J-scent's perfumes - very Japanese, subtle, sophisticated, cozy and classy. The opening in these scents is attractive and unique, even intoxicating but the scent itself is shy and doesn't bother anyone. They are somewhat skin scents. Even "Roasted Green Tea" which is very strong tea in the opening fades out during 5-10 minutes and if thinking the opening and the rest part of the scent it seems that those parts are from the different scents. There is a logical step between though. "Yawahada" is comforting lactonic scent with the most delicate rice powder and Jasmine. The fruity aroma from Pear lasts longer than the fruity notes in "Hanamizake" but after the opening it settles down into the same level with the middle notes giving it a shy sweet character until the dry down. Rose is recognisable as well, it's innocent and fragile. All this beauty has the matching base with the softest white Musk which you can find, the most delicate Amber note ever and the most velvety Sandalwood in perfumery instead of a dense and creamy one which we are used to in Western perfumes. The longevity in these scents is good but there is not so much sillage in them. Each of these three J-Scent's perfumes are suitable not only to wear at the office but to enjoy the calmness in them at home as well. They are so cozy and comforting offering you some kind of inner peace whether it s needed at work or at home. "Yawahada" is absolutely my favourite of these three mentions perfumes but I definitely want to discover them more. Thank you for reading, I hope my review was helpful. I am a bit disappointed. I had a sample of Yawahada and fell in love instantly. It was a bit soft, but I loved the scent so much, I didn't care. It was creamy, beautiful sandalwood, I also sensed the milk note (which I adore) and a pinch of sweetness from the pear note. Sexy and musky. I've ordered a full bottle of it and couldn't wait to get it. But now, everything is different. The pear note is really strong, sweet and sticky on me. It gets softer after awhile but it still stays dominant for quite long. At the end, it is something similar to what I've experienced with the sample, so I still love it. But really didn't expect it to be so different. EDIT: I am wearing it for a couple of months now (not constantly) and it has became one of the irreplaceable perfumes in my collection. Although I am still not in love with the initial pear note, I have definitely fallen in love with Yawahada. I find it very special and important. The feeling it gives me is very unique and I mean this in the most positive way. I find it modern, rich, comforting, but exotic at the same time. It may not last for long, but it definitely doesn't disappear. It stays on my clothes and hair and mostly, it has a very good influence on my mood even after I don't smell it anymore. I have tried some other samples from this house and I love a bunch of them, I think they offer a variety of very interesting niche scents, that I have never smelled before and are very special and beautiful. They are maybe a bit faint, but for the price, it is totally worth it.

A pure delight. I didn’t really get the pear others pick up on and primarily got lactonic on initial spray. There was something a little grandma ish about it, like it smelled a little more mature to me but not in a bad way more like you’re hanging out with your cool stylish grandma who’s gonna take you out shopping or something else comforting and endearing. Then on dry down I got a really really subtle paired down combo of like a skin scent but almost mixed with a hint of their roasted green tea fragrance (which I find to be quite similar to the now discontinued Tea Escape by Maison Margiela) but with this beautiful floral hint shining through that actually reminds me of the also discontinued Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau! A very welcome nostalgic throwback! But don’t be thrown off by the potential intensity of all those references- it’s way more natural and subtle than any of the other scents mentioned- just some reminiscent notes that work wonderfully together and feel so balanced. My only real complaint is the scent overall is truly subtle, truly intimate, truly a skin scent, and with limited projection. I personally like just a hint more projection but it does have decent longevity. A bit on the fence about whether I’ll commit to a whole bottle but regardless, it is fairly affordable for the quality and it’s been a joy to experience nonetheless.

I’m honestly scared that it’s going to get discontinued someday because when I smelled it I immediately knew that not only was it a full size but it was an immediate favorite. There is something in here that reads very sensual to me. It does smell like pear for sure, but on the dry down you get this very soft skin (yeah) scent that I could only describe as the scent of a postcoital steamy shower and you’re washing yourself down with a lightly scented soap. It’s sweet and the milk comes through very appropriately without veering into curdle territory. The jasmine and rose are light and not overly domineering to the point where the fragrance becomes too floral. And the rice just sits beautifully. No major projection but I don’t mind, this is meant to be intimate. I can see how some may think “baby wipes” but to me this is just gorgeous. Be careful with how much you spray though. Main criticism though is that it really could use more of that juicy pear throughout, because it can become a one dimensional lactonic fragrance after a while. Love it badly though.

The opening of this perfume is the juiciest asian pear, but it isn't overpowering. It's just like the smell of the fruity juice and a fresh fancy hotel towel. But it also smells like a clean white marble countertop you just wiped spilled milk off of. Then you get the essence of rice steam specifically from a high-end rice cooker in a clean cozy apartment that belongs to a modest yet interesting person, and that is the type of person who would wear this scent. The silage is pretty intimate, but if you spray a lot, you can get some mild projection. It stays close to the skin because it is a skin scent. About an hour in you start to get more of the milky and amber notes. It turns warm like a steamy meadow sprinkled with dew in the early morning on a sunny day in May. The smell of a mild sweat from riding your bike through a path lined with flowers. It's all these mild yet beautiful smells mixed together perfectly, no one note overpowering another.
