Exotic Coral

Summer fragrance romance! The opening is medium-strong, lime-citrus with rum, and quickly evolves into the mid-notes of primarily tiare with a little jasmine , I'm not getting the violet leaf. Oh, the dry down- heavenly. I am a sucker for notes of heliotrope, coconut & sandalwood, and here they are blended nicely, with powdery heliotrope and sandalwood being the stars on my skin with enough creaminess from the coconut to cut the powdery aspect a bit and give it a summer vibe. I was not expecting this to be sooo good, because I just picked this up on clearance from Fragrancenet.com for $27, and as the saying goes -you get what you pay for- but not in this instance! It is a gem- unique, elegant, mature fragrance with superior performance, 6+ hours, better than many of its designer competitors, and currently at 1/2 their prices. I'm buying a back up- i never want to be without this. Citrus opening with floral middle and, powdery, creamy, interesting base, feminine and summery, without a juvenile suntan lotion vibe or the boring lemon/cedar freshie combo that nearly every designer has duplicated. Sillage is low to medium, which is what I like, I want to notice the fragrance on myself all day without evading the space of others.

Ohhoh, this scent has taken me under my feet, totally. I wish my nose was more schooled, that I could smell scents like GuerlainTerracotta or Cucci Rush, for example, I think it would be much easier to analyze this. BUT this still seems to be found in stores, so I will try my best. This is a accepted strong scent. In the opening I can smell a very sweet rum and a creamy note, which can imagine as a coconut. But mainly this is somekind Tiare flowers, some jasmin and heliotrope. Big sweet, creamy flowerbomb. Salinity here is bit different, somekind like chlorine style, what prevents the scent from becoming too sweet. The atmosphere is more by the pool than by the sea. This is not, I think (and it's only my opinion! ) , so natural floral scent, but rather a kind of “plastic bags on head" 🤪 kind white flowers and that makes this very attractive and irresistible to me... I can't explain this than better. I have Leiber by night too, but this one is much more interesting, I think.

I purchased a sample vial of Exotic Coral to become more familiar with Tiare as a note and to find a vacation vibe fragrance that wasn't solely tropical flower, coconut or suntan lotion forward. This hits the mark, the florals with the violet leaf balance nicely with the wood and heliotrope in the base. This seems elevated enough to wear for other occasions. This has the summer vacay vibe, but it doesn't scream beach resort or cruise ship. I have so many summer perfumes to wear, a variety of nerolis, freshies, fruity and floral teas, and aquatics. I didn't need this, but I found it to be well done and unique enough in style to add a 1.3 oz bottle to my collection.

this one is nice. at first i get lime, tiare, coconut and a bit of heliotrope and violet leaf. there is a hint of saltiness from the sea accord. jasmine blooms later with a hint of sandalwood. primarily this is a slightly salty tropical white floral with hints of coconut and heliotrope.

I layer it with Lily Pulitzer Beachy and it is summer perfection! A tropical getaway in a bottle... Exotic Coral is the heavier of the two and I spray it first and Beachy goes on top... I have tried both fragrances alone but neither can match the synergy of the combined effect!

This definitely gives Rich Auntie on vacation. There is that white floral idolic scent going on here that gives that old closet sort of smell. It's not something that I could really get over so I did end up giving away my bottle other than that it's really really beautiful.

To my nose this smells like orchid. So, mainly heliotrope, violet leaf, lots of sandalwood and a little bergamot in the top and jasmine floral mixed in. This is not very tiare or coconut or beachy in my opinion. It's a vintage orchid floral, very sharp and dusty.

I wanted to like this perfume so much because the notes all sound so good, but there is a dry plastic, chalky smell from this perfume that makes it unpleasant and impossible to wear :( I hope I find a way to fix it, otherwise I'd have to bin it :((

Exotic Coral seems to be misclassified as a floral fruity gourmand. Floral is absolutely correct, but the light coconut is the only fruit and the fragrance is not at all gourmand. Exotic Coral is heavy in heliotrope and tiare gardenia. The coconut is much quieter than those floral notes. Exotic Coral does feel tropical but not as much so Elle L'Aime, Deseo, Aloha Tiare (or anything else by Comptoir Sud Pacifique). If you're looking for a sweet floral, then this might work for you. If you're looking for a fruity gourmand, this will be a bit of a disappointment.

Upon application, this bold opening unfolds the collection of notes that comprise the fragrance. Lime, rum, sea accord, tiare, coconut water. It is a mature scent, expensive vibe. After the complete drydown, to me, it smells very similiar to Lily Pulitzer ' Beachy'. This was a blind buy with notes that appealed and I think I chose well. Pretty bottle.

Gorgeous bottle, medium longevity and the coconut adds a creaminess. Not distinctive coral like Omnia Coral but a nice floral fragrance but the longevity again is more medium to lighter, not like Bvlgari Omnia Coral where the silage and longevity goes on and on.

I got a sample of this to try since it has notes that I enjoy. Something about it reminds me of Orange Sapphire from B&BW. Unfortunately, this fragrance on me turns into a sneeze fest. Not for me! I gave it away.
