Judith Leiber Night

I've has this perfume in my collection for years now, and, while I really liked it, I hardly never wore it because it was so strong and cloying, with a huge incense jasmine scent that was not appropriate for my daytime work scene. It gave me a headache if worn for more than a few hours. It was a scent I could taste if I wasn't careful and precise in application. So recently I was going through my collection to get rid of those perfumes I never wear anymore, but gave them one more try. I don't know if it's because this one has sat for a few years or if my senses or chemistry have changed, but it's completely different now. (I'm voting for my senses AND chemistry have changed, thank you early menopause, scents aren't so often overwhelming and migraine inducing as before, which is good because - no migraines - and bad because I feel like I don't detect some of the more delicate and nuanced notes anymore.) Night by Judith Lieber has become soft and warm and creamy. The incense is still there and very apparent, but I also get creamy, sultry jasmine and lily. Lily just smells amazing on my skin, a note I don't remember being front and center before and really love now. Then there is the smooth patchouli and cozy softly spicy cinnamon woods. It's all blended into a soft and slightly smoky, spicy creamy floral wood that I'm enthralled by. It's really versatile on my skin now, changing from this smoky and creamy floral wood, to a more sultry moist and almost mossy deeper floral damp wood scent when it's humid out. Really it's my current favorite and won't be one I part with.

Let me first say that I was offered this at a ridiculously low price with another purchase in a perfume shop and I declined. Later I could smell it on my wrist and was kicking myself! I just got a (9ml?) mini spray, black tube, rhinestone on the top of the cap, its the edp. You can find the edt cheap but have no idea if it is any good by comparison ? It opens with a blast of fruitiness, plum and sandalwood with floral undertones. It brings to mind Black Orchid, not that they are identical but they have a feeling in common, both also bring to mind a woman nearing 50, who wears the odd item of Vivienne Westwood clothing and has dark and shiny hair. Where Black Orchid to me is somehowhat dry, savoury and 'matt' texturally, this is more of a black opal, shinier with flashes of sweet sparks. I don't really get cinnamon (very smooth and mild, not chewing gum like at all), until many hours later when it is actually reminding me greatly of L by Lolita Lempicka, I really like this and it strikes me as a very 'me' scent in the sense that it smells like something my teenage self would have worn, not that it's a teen style perfume, no, more that I was a kinda weird kid. While my peers were wearing Body Shop dewberry, I trawled department stores testing things like EA Red Door, Dune, Byblos, Krizia and later; Champagne and delighting in free samples of Joy! I could really get into this as a, not signature exactly as I'm a scent commitment phone, but as something maybe people recognised as me. At least, sometimes!

Sniffed and sample-sprayed today. This is a dead-on cross between Ellen Tracey's Bronze and Nanette by Nanette Lepore, both of which I've been wearing & enjoying lately. There's a brightness that echoes Bronze with the deep, woody smoothness of Nanette. Interesting to note that both Bronze and Night are products of Palm Beach Beaute. Lovely, but not different enough to pull $50.00 from my wallet for the 2.5oz bottle at Marshalls. Edit: It's 3 years later and ebay has boxed 2.5oz bottles for about $27.00 so very soon a bottle will be MINE, cheesy rhinestone cap & all. Hey, I'm a sucker for rhinestones... I guess it's that 5 year old in me that loves all things sparkly. And why not? :)

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! I ordered the Judith Leiber NIGHT 2-piece set from Macy's website. The set contains a 1.3 fl oz eau de parfum spray and a 3.4 oz body lotion. If you check Macy's website for special sale prices, you might catch the 2-piece set on sale @ $25. Mine arrived today and I eagerly spritzed some on. Absolutely Stunning! This is certainly one of my better blind buys, for sure. It's beautiful (and luckily for me, beautiful, without having to smell like an overdose of flowers to achieve that). And, at the same time, it's sultry. But not so sultry that you couldn't also wear this during the days. I will be wearing this one to work tomorrow.

Intrigued as I was for this fragrance, the incense note scared me. I had a bad experience with Franck Olivier's Oud Vanille, whose incense to me was like a choky house fire that never let up. I could smell nothing else, not even after hours and I like incense, burn it every evening. Finally, I gave that one to one of my sons, who said it was smoky and weird but he sort of liked it. In Night, I don't even sense it. It's a lovely scent, very warm and comforting. I can't really pick out much other than Amber and Patchouli, not individually, but it combines into something I will definitely wear.

Spicy and delicious, I got much more than I was bargaining for as a blind buy for something like 20 bucks. I'm quite impressed with this scent and have found myself NOT wearing it so I won't run out. the sweet cinnamon note is so natural and warm, and the fruit is not a fresh variety, but smells of some sort of cobbler warm from the oven. Very gourmand, yet grounded by the woods. Night is an appropriate title, it seems lush and dark, like deep purple velvet. I'll be stocking up on this while it's cheap!

I bought a small bottle of this (the long tube that is about a third of an ounce and meant to be carried in a purse) a few years ago, and I'm not sure whether the version I have is supposed to be a different formula or what, but The Judith Leiber Night perfume I have is a very mild scent that stays politely close to the skin and smells a bit like vanilla, under-ripe apricots, and toasted almond biscotti. What's the deal--has this been reformulated?

Got this as a blind buy for $12 ! At fist I wasn't sure. its a BIG scent. Heavy, floral, spicy and has a wide sillage. This scent is not for wall flowers. You will be noticed in the fragrance. It smells expensive and sensual. Like a floral perfume , that mixed with a spicy Chanel scent for men, and a bit of insence in the air. Sexy, voluptuous and dramatic.

Really nice, but I don't get incense. Sweet but not overdone. Fresh but round and powdery. Spicy with good note of cinnamon. Patchouli is fresh and sits well here; nothing dirty or overbearing. The peony is smooth and heavy (not screechy) and boosted by the other florals. Everything is plush and feminine. Lasts forever. A really good sweet, spicy floral!

If there is an equally stunning, expensive-smelling fragrance out there you can pick up for around $20, I'd like to know what it is. This is a beautifully blended cinnamon/amber/jasmine magic potion that I absolutely adore. I also get rave reviews from men when I wear this so there's that as well. This is truly one of my treasures. 10/10

If this perfume wouldn't contain cinnamon, it would be almost identical to Dita Von Teese by Dita Von Teese. For me the cinnamon in this one is too outstanding. Although, the fragrance itself has very good quality, pretty bottle and the scent isn't bad ,I'm afraid it's not my cup of tea. This should be a great gem for cinnamon lovers:)

NIGHT, by Judith Leiber, is pure MAGNIFICENCE! I love this so much, I have added it to my 'favorites'. The beauty of 'Night', is it's light florals and very mild spicyness, delicate sweetness and woodsy warmth. It finishes with a perfect, powdery end, making it one of the most beautiful of all my parfums.

I adore the bottle, it looks just like a JL minaudiere, and the art deco style is my favorite in design. Another reviewer had complained about the "plastic" cap and "fake crystals," trimming it, but the one on my bottle is nice, albeit a bit flimsy. It takes about two minutes for the fragrance to unfold on my skin, and I love it from the start. A sweet peach and caramel scent, with just a hint of cinnamon, on a base of musk. To me it's a warm fragrance that draws you in and makes you feel as though you've come home. It's the way I want my skin to smell; the way I want to be remembered. Reading the reviews from others makes me think my nose might not be very sophisticated. I should have smelled amber, and probably did, but since I sometimes wear amber oil I'm accustomed to an unadulterated version of the scent. Suppose the peach-caramel could be read as amber, but in the straight oil there is a woody component that wasn't here. And no one mentions musk, where for me it's the comforting part of the smell. Maybe it's just my skin? I'd purchased this blind on ebay for about $15, it's a bargain at that. Not enough sillage for me, though, nor does it last long enough. I'd recently purchased some Clinique Aromatics White, and this is like a watered-down version of the fragrance it evolves into, after the overly-loud white patchouli fades. But the Clinique has the sillage and lasts quite a long time; it would be my evening choice, and I'd wear this for the daytime.

This is an instance of a perfume being big a bit much, but these also being the thing that makes it beautiful. There is a lot to like here but there is also a lot of it. It opens with a massive cinnamon and spice bomb that is a shock to the senses, but it does dry down to a warmer, though certainly not subtle, incense mood. Even at it’s quietest it is still quite bold, heavy, and powerful. It’s lucious and seductive as well, though, so I am torn. I can imagine there being a right time, a right place, a right event for this scent as it is intoxicating and alluring in its own way. I think this is one you could have on hand for special events and you’d have to apply it early enough to let it settle. But you’re not going to get a lot of day wear out of this and I can see those around me feeling assaulted by its presence initially. Overall, it’s different, enticing, and a statement scent for sure. Something about it is truly unique, just not very practical or easy. Maybe I will get a teensy bottle for those rare moments call for this type of statement.

I've been so so wrong in blindly buying this based on reviews and the fact that I just love Leiber by Judith Leiber. Worse than Chergui Lutens in my book. This is a bombastically potent sickly sweet bomb. Well, you live and learn. So far out of 3 JL scents I tried I love 1, hate 1, haven't finally decided yet but so far don't particularly like 1 more, and I don't even want to try the 4th according to the notes in perfume pyramid. UPD: tried it for the 2nd time - beautiful sprind day positively affected my perception of this scent. I sparayed one tiny spray that stayed with me for 4 hours, and it was rather pleasant co-existence I have to say. Still a bit too sweet to be my regular scent, but I smelled lily this time and some fizzy champagne-like smell I cannot pinpoint - maybe it was lime, as I now try to guess looking at the scent pyramid. Still no insense, but awful caramelized patchoulized amber that bothered me last time wasn't present. So I will try it again when it's warm and then I'll decide whether to keep this.

I found 2 bottles of this body lotion at TJM for $4/per. I popped one open and thought, 'This smells like something I already have.' So, since I am an avid layer-er of scents, I bought these. This lotion is the shimmery, pearlescent-infused type that makes your skin glow under the right lights. I got it home and started going through my collection and I found it's twin...not an identical twin, but almost. Adrienne Vittadini's Amore is so, so very almost just like this lotion. I don't know about the EDP itself, just the lotion. I now layer these two together for evenings and they harmonize beautifully. I guess my Mary-Kate perfume has found its Ashley counterpart. It's a wonderful spicy experience with warmth and depth..the incense and musk blend well and who is going to turn down something that makes you shimmer in dim light? I like it. Don't love it, but I do like it.

This is for the purse spray with three refills of the EDP. Price was under $17.00. The container is beautiful and makes a statement of its own: This is a classy quality perfume. A very soft relatively simple Amber oriental. Many orientals are much more dramatic, but this one is a more refined and wearable perfume. Longevity is moderate and sillage is low. This is suitable for the office and just about anywhere else. The cinnamon in the top notes is not in your face like a Christmas pot popurrí. It is, as other reviewers have noted, comforting like homemade cinnamon rolls. Having said that, it is not gourmand. Michael Edwards classifies this as a soft oriental. The dry down is woody and incense, and the Amber remains throughout. I wear this in the fall, after a surfeit of lighter citrus fragrances I use in the summer.

A blind buy due to curiosity and the reviews. I got a great deal online, specially for a blind buy. First impression, I knew I had definitely smelled this before. I knew that whatever it was, this one has Cinnamon and lots of it! Its a sweet spicy cinnamon explosion, with the oud darkness, and powdery dry amber. It doesn't necessarily smell cheap, definitely not what I paid for. This is along the lines of Jennifer Lopez's JLux (black bottle) and Zoa Night Perfume Parfums Regine with the art deco included, but with cinnamon added to it. If you like those two abovementioned, and/or you like woody rose incense and cinnamon (you have to like cinnamon as its a dominant note on this one), then you'll enjoy this. I can see this being a bit cozy in cold Winter weather. Or an evening scent in the Fall.

What a big surprise! A feminist aromatic- woody scent by definition, very interesting, warm but not sweat, citrate over powdery a thing very hard to control but still the perfumers of this fragrance did it, what can I say, it's the brand of a working career woman who knows what she wants from her perfumes and knows what to ask from the perfumer, an aromatic fragrance for career women, which is both deep and fine and very good blend with citrus. To be even safer they decided to present it as an evening scent, isn't necessary, I wear it in the winter as my day perfume, perfect match. It has nothing to do with that stinky boudoir smell called Dior Addict! I don't know who voted for this, but I advise them to compare it again and drink the water between smelling them, nothing in common at all.

I love anything spicy and oriental. Knowing this I was intrigued with the notes in this perfume. I had to try it. At first spritz I was a little overwhelmed. It's VERY strong - but the dry down is absolutely lovely and the longevity is good. I liked it so much that I bought a large purse spray - this is something that I need to be in the mood to wear. I wouldn't buy a whole bottle of it but it is a good scent that will be fun to wear now and then. The only way I can describe it is to say that it's dark, mysterious, warm and intriguing. It makes you want to know more about the woman who is wearing it. It casts an aura that says I am confident and sexy.

This is yummy!!! Very spicy, sensual, and a bit sweet. I get a slight hint of incense and patchouli but mostly the cinnamon, woods, and amber come through. The floral notes are there but subtle. I really think this an amazing find for $8.99 at ROSS!! Granted, it's only the 10mL sprayer, but I think it's the perfect size for me. This would be great in winter or on a cold, cozy night. Or if you just like spicy scents, I say go for it!

I picked up the EDT as an inexpensive blind buy. I can't resist those! This has a very fruity fig-like opening, although no fruit notes are listed. I only pick up a hint of bergamot. This is mostly caramelized amber and sweet patchouli. Balsamic, woody, a little smoky, but not overly spicy. Maybe the cinnamon is more pronounced in the EDP version. My kind of scent for winter. A successful blind buy indeed. I'm liking it!

I like this one. It is like breakfast got turned into a perfume. Like an perfume impression of a sugar topped blueberry muffin and cinnamon coffee cake in a brown bag. It is not actually literally foody, though, when it comes together. Thanks to the the touch of patchouli and the amber, it smells like a perfume or like a room where ladies are wearing perfume and eating coffee cake. I like the bottle very much.

Gourmand without a doubt. Its a grey day, I felt the need to cosy up and this is the perfect fragrance to cosy up with. Smooth & creamy, sweet and a little powdery with an oriental - amber, cinnamon and a little patchouli - 'feel' to it. Not at all bohemian though. I don't get any floral. Very feminine. Lovely! Sillage & longevity are very good so, beware, don't go crazy with the sprays.

I was not expecting this - wowzer you dry amber seductress! The amber is the main player - maybe slight cinnamon & floral (to sweeten it up) but overall a very nice affordable perfume with just the right-slight amount of oriental Opium-like flare.

This is a toned down Addict (from 2002), an EDT version of it, which makes it perfectly wearable throughout the year, awesome silage and longevity, even on my dry skin, needless to say I LOVE it! :)

starts out very sweet and fruity with amber, patchouli, woods, bergamot and incense then settles to be more woody and dry with amber and cinnamon

It's an alright scent for $16.99/2.5oz. Quite powerful, and very feminine.

Reminded me of Avon Night orchid ,classic ,elegant, violet

I have to agree w/ @Mayana review below. This smells like a blackberry/blueberry cobbler. And it is quite weak to boot. When I sprayed this, I got this tart blackberry smell and now w/ it on my hand it smells like a blackberry cobbler. Not what I was expecting and I'm a bit disappointed. Thank goodness this was so cheap. I just don't want to smell like a blackberry cobbler. I will use this as air freshener. It is also quite weak not the cinnamon bomb I was hoping for. Cinnamon in here is very slight, same w/ the patchouli and incense. If I didn't know better, I would think this was the Amythest flanker. I will stick w/ Topaz from the Judith Leiber line, now that one is strong and projects like crazy. Night is a weak berry cobbler gourmand. Performs like a body spray from Bath and Body works. As this goes along more and more it smells like a berry cobbler mixed w/ yeasty cinnamon rolls. Again, I will be taking it out of my collection and using it for bathroom air freshener. Edit: 12/9/22 Using this as a bathroom air freshener and it smell great in the air. Blackberry/blueberry cobbler. But on skin the performance for me was weak.

I just received an edt of this fragrance and really liked it. It lasted a long time on me when I tested it probably about 6 hours which I thought was great! When I first sprayed it, it reminded me of something I couldn’t place then it hit me- Dior Addict. They only have a couple middle notes in common so I don’t see why it reminds me of it but somehow it does. I really like both and I’m glad I got JL Night! Edit: I have to take back that Night is similar to Addict; I did a side by side test with each perfume on each arm and when you sniff them right next to each other they are not at all similar, just when I first smelled Night it reminded me of Addict but they are actually quite different. I do really like both! 👍🏼

Gave this to my daughter. Do not get me wrong, this is really not a bad smell at all! This probably is most creamy softness of what I smelled, but ... In Finland, we bake blueberry pie on a bun bottom. In the bottle we use a lot of cream, butter and spices like cardamom and cinnamon. My grandmother baked like that, my mom baked like that and so do I. That pie comes thick with fresh blueberries and lots of sugar. It is eaten with sima, a kind of homemade raisin soda. This fragrance for me is not "night" or sexy. This is an afternoon snack and grandma in the kitchen struggling. When I have grandchildren I use this as a room spray to remember how Grandma always baked, hah.

After reading the notes, I really looked forward to trying this out and thanks to a swap partner (forgetting who, sorry), I was able to have that opportunity. I LOVE amber, jasmine, and incense, but cinnamon? - not so much. Unfortunately, the sweet cinnamon really stands out on my skin, and instead of the warm ambery scent I anticipated, I got an achingly sweet one. I'm in complete agreement with pravda48's review. This is too sweet for me as well. On top of that it's a strong, in-your-face fragrance. Definitely not for wallflowers. Anyway, I was reminded by the cinnamon in this of the cinnamon note in Queen Latifah's Queen of Hearts, although I found that fragrance smoother and nicer than Night.

Based on the notes, I thought I would love this fragrance. When first testing, I usually start with one spray and go from there. One spray of this was way too much. I thought the intensity would calm down a bit during the dry down and it did...but only slightly. This fragrance had an intense, nose tickling spice, and a good amber tone complimenting the spice. I think that was the only highlight. One or two of the notes, possibly the incense mixed with the cinnamon, just doesn't work with my skin. It isn't sweet but its still somehow cloying. Nearly headache enducing. I had hoped I would love this fragrance but it was a no go. Too bad.

Review for the EdP: Funny, how differently our noses and brains can process the same scent and see an altogether different picture. I'm not getting any amber, no cinnamon, no patchouli. Just jasmine, peony, and lily - right from the start, and still the same two hours later. Very powdery and dry. No argument that this gives a really big bang for the buck but it's just not me.

I pick up almost nothing that the scent profile identifies. First I get a fake blueberry scent, then powder, then just soap. It's like a worse version of Bath & Body Works "Moonlight Path" that I loved when I was in middle school (which I'd probably still like now...but this is definitely not as pleasant). Very disappointed.

If this wasn't SO SWEET I think it'd be delightful. As it stands, it's a lot of amber and peony,and a good dose of a nice patch and some smooth incense.... but WOW it's overwhelmingly sweet for me.

The scent is decent (it's been done before), but it lasts not at all! I got a small purse spray in a swap and I sometimes wear it before bed, but it is gone by the time I've dozed off.

This just arrived via courier from Amazon and I'm absolutely smitten. I bought the coffret for a mere £10 and got the 3 x 10 mls bottles which come with an all black, with a removable diamanté ring and atomiser which was very easy to assemble. I then applied one spray to my wrist, as I couldnt wait and if I'm honest. What I got at 1st did not wow me. And I was like is that it? Maybe I need to apply a bit more. But now 30 mins later. I am getting the most beautiful smell enemating from my wrist. And I will try my best to describe it. So far, I am getting some incense, cinnamon, woodiness and peony which is really, really enjoyable. It is also slighty sweet, but only barely there sweet. So it definitely sets itself apart. I would say that this is a very safe, inoffensive autumn/winter fragrance that would enhance your mood and make you feel expensive and classy all day long, without breaking the bank. As it like a warm hug from your classy grandmother or aunt and the perfect cold weather, sweater fragrance for those days you want a nice, gentile oriental fragrance. And so im pleased that I bought it. As its literally is what I wanted Agent Provocateur's, Blue Silk to be when I bought it. As it also has a cinnamon accord but it miserably flopped on me and was barely detectable on my skin and very synthetic smelling, with a note that I found slightly off putting. So I'm overjoyed that night has none of that going on. Now its too early to comment on performance but I think like its sister Topaz (which I also love) this will last on clothing and give me wafts whenever I wear it. And it also slightly reminds me of something else but I cannot remember what for the life of me.

This smells incredibly similar to Nanette by Nanette Lapore....but unlike Nanette, I can actually wear this. A friend wears Nanette and it smells SO good on her but on me it is a headache inducing mass of sweetness. Judith Leiber actually smells like I wanted Nanette to smell on me, the way it smells on my friend. It is just a girly kind of perfume that smells like a department store perfume. It isn't a complex fragrance and there isn't anything to decipher, but it smells nice. I absolutely hate the bottle though. The fake crystals...ugh. I flip the cap around so that the crystals face the back because I literally can not stand to see them. I have to say that this was originally $175 a bottle and...seriously, it is offensive just how cheaply this is made with an original asking price that high. For starters, there is the horrible lightweight plastic cap. Nevermind the bad fake crystals, the entire cap is just extremely cheaply made and gives me the yuckies when I take it off and put it back on. The writing on the bottle is very surface-y, thin and cheap. And there are the...eeeek....clear plastic pieces inside the flimsy box that the bottle fits inside. Yikes! But...even with the cheapness, lack of depth, overly synthetic quality, etc., this stuff still smells good. Maybe it is because I got a 2.5 oz bottle of it at TJ Maxx for $16.99. If I had paid $175 for it, I would probably be cussing. But for $16.99, it smells pretty good.

I blind bought an EDT for less than $10 total. It was sold to me as 95% full... damn the solid black bottle. Not even my "flashlight behind the bottle" works. Oh well. I like this. I like it enough that I'm wondering if I need the EDP too. It's spicy, ambery powdery cinnamon incense. Sweet and woody too. Must be the caramel/amber and woods. Mmmmmm. This is good. The patchouli kinda screamed at first, but it's all good now. This is smooth. Too dry to be creamy, but warm stuff! The EDT is quite light, which is why the EDP is haunting me now. Tomorrow I get my quarterly ebay bucks... I may need the EDP. I do not care for Euphoria, but I can see how this could smell like Euphoria. "L de Lolita" is one of my faves-- and I don't think JL Night is similar at all. They have cinnamon in common and that's about it. This has a more candy-like (red hots) woody amber/incense sweetness, and L smells like cinnamon vanilla orange spice cake IMO. Quite long lasting for an EDT and the drydown (next day) was more like Organza Indecence (new) than L de Lolita. I'm not as obsessed with buying the EDP now. I want to wear this EDT more first. My first tissue test smells AMAZING several days later! A soft sweet amber vanilla wood. I may have to spray down some blankets in winter because this is a delicious cozy drydown! Wearing it is just a "like" for me, so I'm happy with my cheap EDT bottle.

I tested it out 2 hours ago. DIVINE. The fruity note drifts away fairly quickly and the amber and incense are extremely well behaved and elegant. I put it back on the shelf to see if I still would like it later on. And now I will rush back to the store and pick up a gorgeous 2.5 oz bottle for 50 dollars... after seeing the store prices... I a SOOOOOO getting this. Lovely, lovely, lovely and stands out just enough to be a signature scent. I was looking for a dark one that say "ME"- I have Sensous Noir, Black Orchid - you name it. This one is MINEMINEMINE. It did remind me a little of Calvin Klein's Euphoria - just without the 'overkill' mahagony and fruit salad note - and more pulled together. So, so wonderful on my skin. I am not getting cinnamon- L de Lolita, that's what I call cinnamon. Patchouli is well behaved- not Coco Mademoiselle patchouli that screams its head off. Incense that you can wear without falling asleep in a church pew. More like Mary's cerulian blue robe. Husband says "hmmmmmmm" with facial neck burying, indicating approval. Hubby also points out impressive sillage.

I joined a scent sample company, and am a bit disappointed in their lack of interesting frags. But Night was on the list, and I’d never heard of it, so it was my first choice. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a lovely fragrance that shouldn’t work but does. It is heavy on patchouli and incense but the cinnamon and amber balances it nicely, so it’s not overly hippie, bell bottoms in the 70s type of scent. As it dries down, it becomes softer and more powdery. I don’t smell flowers at all. It’s a pretty, gentle fragrance without a heavy throw. As it dries to a skin scent, it’s comforting.I don’t get the typical gourmond vanilla/tonka bean scent but I suspect this perfume could be mixed nicely with a vanilla to make a more gourmondy scent if that what somebody enjoys. It is not a super sweet feminine scent either, so is a bit different than the popular ones out now. I think a man could wear it. I don’t think I’d necessarily buy a bottle of this but I’ll probably use my sample up. And considering how inexpensive people are finding it, who knows? Maybe I will grab one.

This scent had 2 distinct phases. The first was a fruit-chuli, very plummy (which I don't see listed) fragrance combined with the earthy incense of the patchouli--it's not a terribly dirty patch, pretty typical of most mainstream patchouli scents. It was quit strong and very fruit-forward for the first hour, then it became more subdued but still quite fruity. After about 3 hours of that, I got 3 more hours of a cinnamon-amber scent, not bold but not strictly a skin-scent either. This is the part I preferred; it was a very pleasant cinnamon, with a vanilla style of amber that wasn't too cloying or dessert-like. The patchouli lingers faintly, like a shadow behind a bright candle, but the main players are warm and spicy at this phase. Good longevity, about 6+ hours; fading from strong to still fair. An interesting evolution in this fragrance, but I wish it had skipped past the plumminess and into the cinnamon amber. This is based upon a decant, so no comments on the bottle.

A man's point of view! I enjoy buying my wife perfume. I usually buy the small, sample vials because some I choose for her are very expensive and I want to be sure she likes them before I lay out real cash. After I read some of the reviews for Judith Leiber Night I thought this juice is cheap enough at twenty a bottle to take a chance on two and a half ounces. In short, This is one of the best blind buys I have ever made. My wife loves it, and I love it on her. Night is one of the most sensual, seductive scents I have ever smelled. The slightly fruity opening turns pleasantly sweet and then finishes with the beautiful, amber, incense vibe that lasts for six to eight hours. Very sensual. Long lasting. Strong, but not too strong, AND dirt cheap! Highly recommended, But not for the under-twenty, bubble-gum crowd. Just sayin'.

This one has the same vibe as Escada Magnetism to me. That same deep dark candied thing going on, but a little on the spicier side to me and almost as intense so I can see someone elses comparison to Flower Bomb and even Euphoria but its definitely got more of a candied thing than Flower Bombs floral vibe or spicy aspect with Euphoria. All have that intense sillage though and I wear those types of scents very well so I'm not complaining. I got this at Ross of all places and dont recall how much I paid and I usually regret my blind buys from there but this one I'am definitely fond of even though I have several scents like it already it still holds a place in my heart and on my vanity table.

All the reviews made this sound like a safe blind buy to me and it's pretty cheap, so I jumped. Well, it’s bug spray on me with something wonderful underneath. About five minutes in, it’s a gorgeous smooth creamy wood rose incense almost like my beloved Akkad, but the bergamot really does stand out over and above everything and make it very citronella/bug repellent-ish. I really want to like this more. If the bergamot was not present, I think this would be just gorgeous. As it is, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to wear it. Excellent lasting power but since the bergamot ruins it for me, it's not a keeper. That citronella aspect is so loud it ruins the other lovely notes.

The longevity is great. I sprayed the crook of my elbow about midnight and it was still noticeable (although I had to press my nose to my skin) at around 11 this morning. This is okay. It seems similar to My Burberry Black, although I feel like MBB is better blended. Night is sweeter and more amber intense. The strongest point for me is the cinnamon. I love being able to actually smell the cinnamon. All in all, I agree with almost all the reviews. Night is good but not great, in my opinion. It was sweeter than I was expecting but it isn’t bad, at all. I don’t think I will buy a full-size bottle after my sample runs out.
