I Love Juicy Couture

I came across a 100 ml, lightly used bottle that was at least 80% full. Even though it was a tester (not for sale), it still had its cap which was cool. Because I really love "Believe" by Britney Spears, I bought this one as well. The bottle is camp. I love it. It is fun. It is pretty heavy and large. When I sniffed the cap, I was instantly reminded of "Believe". Now I have both of them on each wrist. I agree that they are pretty similar but certainly different. They share the same DNA. Keep in mind that "Believe" is one of these fragrances that changes according to the weather probably due to changes in my skin. Today is the 31st of August and the weather is starting to get colder. While they both have a fresh, slightly minty quality, "Believe" is more floral while "I Love Juicy Couture" is more fruity. The red apple in the latter is particularly noticeable, making it sweet and sour. The fruits in the former are still there but they are less noticeable. The former is also more shampoo-ey and stronger, the sharp fresh note is stronger. It certainly lasts longer than the latter. Both are floral but can absolutely be enjoyed even by people who do not love floral fragrances because they are not overbearing. While "I Love Juicy Couture" technically lasts for a few hours, it is a skin scent after the first hour. You definitely have to be heavy-handed with this one. At its best, Britney's perfume lasts for many hours and you can still smell it throughout the day. "ILJC" loses a point in the originality department because "Believe" came out earlier and was done better. Despite that and the fact that its performance is disappointing, I still had to vote with a "love" because it is a very pretty scent that is suitable for summer and work. Even when it is hot outside, it is very comfortable to wear and since I cannot wear bold fragrances to work, this one is perfect. It does not really project which means it is unlikely that it will offend anybody. I would love to try it in the autumn and winter. I Love Juicy Couture is a fun fruity floral, much in the same vein as a Victoria's Secret summer fragrance. Its bottle alone hints at the kind of kooky frivolity you're in for with this one. The mandarin orange-apple-red currant combo almost hints at a beverage of sorts. It lives up to the "juicy" quality implied in the name, and the honeysuckle note is very pleasant. In the base, I get more of the amber and musk than the patchouli. It's casual and lighthearted, the kind of fragrance you'd wear on a jeans & t-shirt, or sundress & flip-flops, kind of day. It doesn't smell "cheap," just not serious, either.

Oh my goodness. All my blind buys today have been bang on awesome! Woo! Lol I hope you feel my excitement. Anyways at first spray I was unsure if it was something I'd enjoy as much as I do. There's a smidgen of a blech smell at the start, am wondering if it is red currant? It dissapears withen a minute or so and turns into this beautiful, feminine, sweet, sophisticated and fun fragrance. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and wear it for my long walk 😌😄 I can't say I've smelt such a scent before either. I'd take a long inhale if I smelled this in public. Hoping I can share the same effect! Yum!

I love it! At the first spray it's a mix between the unfogettable Gucci by Gucci EDT and Viva la Juicy (pink ribbon), then Viva la Juicy disappears and the scent comes close to Gucci by Gucci and even Believe as someone already noted. The real beauty happens when it settles because it becomes fresher and less dense and reminds me a lot of my beloved XS for her EDP (2018). ILJC is a beautiful scent, my favourite type. I've got to have a backup bottle - which is gorgeous btw. The common downside of JC fragrances is weakness and unfortunately this one is no exception.

This is a nice, simple fruity patchouli scent. It feels so different than others from Juicy Couture that I've smelled (probably because it's missing caramel), and I love it! Update: Other reviews are right that it can be a bit of a patchouli bomb, BUT, it doesn't cause headaches the way that other patchouli-heavy scents do (e.g., V&R's Flowerbomb, Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, Lancome's La Vie est Belle, YSL's Mon Paris, etc.). I think it may be the sweetness of the amber because I also don't mind Gucci's Gorgeous Gardenia's sweet-patchouli base.

This perfume smells like the first girl to get a tramp stamp tattoo in your highschool. So trashy but smells so delicious. All the boys have the hots for her. So 2000s. It smells of delicious juicy red berries and then smoothes out to a delicious sweet vanilla amber. The bottle is equally embarrassing to be seen with. I would consider decanting it into a plainer bottle if people were ever going to see me using it. The smell is addictive and delicious, even if a bit unsophisticated. It's truely a guilty pleasure to use.

I bought this scent on a white years ago and fell in love with it. I wasn't able to find it again for a long time but found it again a few weeks ago at a Ross discount store near me. This scent is not for eveyone. I WOULD NOT blind buy this. It starts off a little rough and the patchouli comes through strong but then it dries down to an ambery flower scent. The jasmine really comes through with the apple and currant. I mixed it with BBW Pure Wonder and it was divine.

Color me surprised. I've stocked up on florals and freshies for summer in anticipation of the heat, so tell me why this perfume has become such an obsession lately? If you do not like patchouli, do not buy lol. I like patchouli, and enjoy this immensely. I layer with winter candy apple to amp up the red apple note, as it doesnt last nearly as long as I would like. Beautiful fruitchouli that feels dark, slightly sweet, and impeccably sharp.

This went from a dislike to a love within a few months. I even tried to sell it, but my ebay was acting up so I gave up and kept it in my collection. Now, a year later, I'm happy I didn't sell it. On me, I don't get much of the fruitiness everyone is talking about (except, maybe sometimes the orange note). This is a musky pathcoulli with white florals on my skin. Very mature, and nice for daytime in any season.

Best patchouli frag I've smelled to date, but I also don't really like patchouli. This is a soft fruity version of the scent. It reminds me of Believe by Britney Spears but less heavy on the Patchouli. The musk and amber are blended into it at the base very nicely making this a great frag for someone who has a hard time with an overpowering patchouli note.

I can't believe how similar it is to my beloved, discontinued Amor Amor Tentation. I am so happy I bought it blindly and now I will make some back up because I am afraid it is going to be discontinued as well. Beautiful juicy tart blackberries with hint of sweetness and fair dose of patchouli. I love it!

A bite from the first perfect apple of the season, walking though the orchard on a bright and breezy autumn day. Sweet, juicy fruit with a touch of musk and patchouli to dirty it up a bit. This is perfect for early fall when the air is crisp. Don't judge this one by its bottle.

I really love this fragrance. It smells very unique & fun. The warm dry down is my favorite. Hours later I'll get subtle whiffs of a fresh, tangy-citrus, floral that's perfectly balanced by the patchouli & amber. If you like red currant, you will love this.

This smells amazing! Patchouli with red candy apple. Sweet, but balanced by the warm patchouli and soft musk. This perfume has great staying power and excellent throw. I always catch whiffs of this scent throughout the day whenever I wear it.

Another great Juicy Couture offering. Their fragrances are consistently great and there’s only one or two I don’t like. I love juicy couture is sweet yet fresh with a dose of patchouli that blends in well.

Just got this early for valentine's day. I really am loving the smell . I love the fruits smell with the patchouli and amber/musk. Nice.

i really like this - it reminds me a bit of mugler's angel with fruit mixed in to add a more youthful vibe. fruity, but that sexy grounding note keeps it a little more grown up, i guess that's the patchouli, i don't know, i still have a lot to learn. the overpowering word that comes to mind is youth, maybe because fruity scents always seem a bit young and cheap to me. but i put this on before bed and an image kept on floating to mind - get ready - debbie gibson's electric youth perfume. now, i haven't smelled electric youth for around 30 years, i was a child when i used to wear it and can't remember what it smelled like, but it kept on swirling in my head. i do wonder, if anyone remembers that scent, does this smell similar?

Just got this a few days ago. I've been wearing it, and while it smells good, I don't really smell it on me after a few minutes. This sprayed on a strip smelled strong, but it's totally different on my skin. Edit: I will review later when the weather is warm..maybe this fragrance will shine in the spring/summer Edit: I tried this again in spring with 70ish weather and it has lasted quite more, 7 hours and I still get whiffs of it . I'm loving it now...good fruity, yummy spring/ summer perfume. Edit: this has become my summer to go fragrance, it smells so good, green apple goodness!!

I owned this about five or so years ago and I thought the scent was attractive but not a love. It was definitely patchouli heavy. I have a really weird relationship to this ingredient. One of my favorite scents of all time that got reformulated used patchouli in a masterful way, Armani Si. I tried Angel in the last year thinking I could pull off the heaviness and everyone who cares about me gave it a thumbs down. This Juicy one could've been intoxicating if they used a lighter hand on the dirty patchouli and less sweetness on the top which I believe was used to balance the base.

The initial spray is a big burst of patchouli. After a few minutes it starts to reveal a more sweet musky & tart mandarin scent. The dry down becomes a bit fresher from the white florals & I definitely get honey from the honeysuckle & amber. However, I'm not getting any pineapple from this. This reminds me of baby phat golden goddess; sexy honeyed patchouli! Would definitely make a great club dancing fragrance! This is one of my roommates favorite perfumes but it's personally not my thing - mostly because it stays very close to your skin & has a weaker longevity.

i love juicy couture summer test two sprays inner wrist perfumy fruit tart gentle sherbetty fruit turns into Viva la juicy a bit honeyed perhaps but staying light ish the accords must be supporting, and well blended. cant think of any scents this is similar to to give you an idea... but i bet there are some... not particulaly warm or cool to the nose, i dont get distinguishable notes im not mad about the staying power but its okay i suppose - in winter it might be weak. summer seems to amp things up.

Picked up a rollerball yesterday.It's almost exactly the same as Tokidoki Adieu, though lighter. Adieu is, of course, discontinued, so this will be my substitute summer scent once that is used up. Edit: Even in autumn/winter, this is working very well as a morning or workout scent, for when I want something noticeable but not deafening, just a pleasant waft when I move. There is patchouli, and a fruitiness, but it's not sickeningly sweet. There's a tartness that balances things out.

I like a good patchouli based scent and this is nice. White florals and of course fairly sweet, as are most JC. But the florals do balance it out to a nice mature scent. Projection is modest, it's not a loud fragrance. I like it, it's an easy reach for daytime wear. Definitely in the same family as Believe because of that patchouli. If you like that one, you'll probably like this one.

I never bought this because people talked bad about it, but I finally found a tester in store and wow, I really love this. the dry down is a patchouli bomb with fruity florals in the background for sure, but this is gorgeous. I’ve seen this so many times at Ross for $20 so if I come across it again, I will definitely purchase it!!

This young lady smelled so good. It was a tad sweet. It smelled clean also had a beautiful musk. I asked what she was wearing, and here I am now. Im surprised the comments say it is very patchouli forward bc I hate patchouli. I asked her how long ago had she applied the fragrance, she sd 11 hours ago! I must skin test on myself!

Great on card, not so much on skin. Tried and we are two hours in and it's very quiet. Not unpleasant, just perhaps I've tried lots and this is similar, if I'd tried this one first I may like this instead and think other subsequent frags are similar, who knows. I would use it if I got given it I guess

Pineapple is the safe word here! ;) But..wait....there's no pineapple listed. This is a vibrant tangy scent, which I had hopes for, but the longevity fell short. Sigh. It's going to be added to the 'for layering' pile.

I got this at a bargain from Shoppers Drug Mart and it smells amazing! This feels like I'm shopping in a high end boutique, choosing what red high heeled shoes to wear. Very elegant and feminine.

I really like this one!!! Its fun and flirty. No sincerity here. Makes me want to head out to a club and dance the night away!!! It's all juicy fruity and patchouli!!! Yum!!

Very very nice smell that lasts long time (and for once, not too sweet for a Juicy couture!) but the bottle is awfull...

i like it, despite the fact that i don't really intend on wearing it.

Candy apple, tartness from the currant, more florals than expected, and a lot of fluffy musk. It’s very clean, actually! Laundry fresh. This would be a pretty “after shower” scent. Unfortunately, it reminded me of an aunt, so I had a hard time enjoying it for that reason. (I generally avoid fragrances that remind me of others in my circle. I’m more attracted to finding my own signature scent vibe.) I don’t think she wears this, but, still ... hmmm .. And, just as it was starting to grow on me, I got a headache. That musk grew and grew and grew! In the drydown, it’s predominantly musk with some sweet apple. An interesting scent .. we just weren’t meant to be ...

This is a strange concoction of syrupy musky super glue and yes it smells like Tentation by Cacharel! It cements my negative thoughts on patchouli notes in fragrances which started with Angel. If I got a waft of this on someone walking past I'd probably say it smells great but up close, nose to skin, not so much. After 15 minutes, the dry down offers less super glue and more soapy ambery sweetness. Although I'm not sure if this is a complete saving grace. I'll still keep it in my collection as I like to archive and reference certain houses but it's definitely one of the weakest offerings from Juicy Couture. Rank: C-

i bought this for 25 dollars at a Ross store in my neighboring city. i am a Juicy collector and am used to their perfumes being fruity and sweet. this is not that! on the initial spray it has a sugary-sweetness to it but after dry down it's a very strong herbal scent - the patchouli note. now, i love patchouli and nag champa and all those heavily fragrant incense-y scents but this is very aggressive and doesn't go away for hours. i don't hate it but i'm not the biggest fan.

Bold synthetic, somewhat chaotic, but charming in its own way. I wouldn't say it's immediately obvious its an apple scent, but it makes sense I suppose. It's a bright, fruity sweet and floral perfume, but very candied. Very youthful, girly, playful, juvenile, but not without appeal. There’s an undeniable flirty energy to it: fun, sweet, and unabashedly artificial. I'm not hating it. It’s likable in the way certain pop songs are! not complex, but easy to enjoy.

This one is kind of perma-shelved for me. I’m gonna be honest, I use it to freshen up my car lol. But I don’t enjoy it on my skin. I’m not sure if it’s just my nose... but I don’t pick up any of the top notes. All I can smell is the patchouli with a spicy dry down. I don’t hate it. But it’s not a love for me.

Clean, shampoo smell. I like it better out of the bottle than on my skin. The good fruit smell morphs into something with slightly off-putting musky undertones after about 5 minutes on me. Same as what happens with Wonderlust. It is nice, but not full-bottle worthy.

This fragrance is just not for me—as alluring as the notes appeared here all I get from this is a strong and pungent patchouli. Then it’s the faint smell of the sweet candy apple. I really wanted to like it and buy it because the bottle is adorable. I love how cute and girly it is. But this fragrance just doesn’t sit well on my skin. It’s like it starts off with an overpowering patchouli then the sweet fruits, then the faint after scent of the white florals. This all appeared and disappeared in what felt like 20 mins. Then the scent just vanished on my skin. So not really great with the longevity. Sadly, this is a pass. It appears patchouli does not settle well on my skin. And I am noticing I am quickly drawn away from fragrances with this note.

the only thing i can smell in this is pure patchouli-- and i had to learn the hard way that i absolutely cannot stand the smell of patchouli. i found this so repulsive (sorry for the use of such a dramatic word lol!) that i had to go scrub my wrists immediately after spraying it. really disappointing as i think i could've liked it if i could smell more of the supposed fruity or floral notes that are said to be in this but i genuinely wouldn't have known there were any if i didn't check the description. maybe i got a counterfeit or something because i find it hard to believe so many people would enjoy a scent like this. would not recommend unless you absolutely love LOVE patchouli..

The patchouli in this gave me a headache and it smelled artificially floral. I got it as a gift and passed it along to a friend. Gave me cheap vibes, idk why bc I wanted to like it but my nose said no thanks. Usually even when a gifted fragrance isn't my typical style I make it work and have a purpose for it and it expands my tastes, but this one I kept for a while as decoration and then finally gave it to a girlfriend bc it taunted me in its cute bottle too much lol.

I had a sample of this which I will give away. The notes sound like it could be similar to L'Eau Kenzo Intense, but it's much less interesting to my nose. The apple is not a sweet caramel candy (taffy) apple but a bit sour, and mixing that with red currant and mandarin makes a very harsh kind of fruity topnote. The rest of the fragrance is mostly patchouli and generic sweetness without warmth. Unfortunately I find it a bit cheap and biting.

personally, i can’t stand patchouli scents, but i can definitely see patchouli fans loving this! this is definitely a fruit forward patchouli scent in my opinion. it’s very incensey to me which is why i dislike it, but if that’s your jam try it!

This was quite good at first spray, but it's weak in my opinion. The scent is completely gone in a few hours, there's literally nothing left of it. Juicy it is, quite fruity as well. The scent doesn't impress me and the bottle is tacky.

Girly, juvenile fragrance that is reminiscent of 2000’s tween fads. I love patchouli, but this is just awful. I can’t believe this made it onto shelves in the first place. I spray it around my room, but I don’t wear it.

I thought I would like this because the notes sounded great, and I don't mind patchouli. But this was a no-go for me. Smelled like gross rubber or melted plastic on me.

The notes look so compelling but then you smell it and its just a hot meds. Returned.
