Juicy Couture Malibu

This is a fantastic scent for people who like a combination of white flowers and passion fruit. On my skin it opens with passion fruit and very quickly dries down to a combination of white flowers (I can detect jasmine, lily, tuberose and tiare). It really smells amazing if you're into these types of fragrances and also has great lasting power. I wouldn't call it a beach scent, but it's definitely a summer scent and personally makes me very happy when I wear it. Due to its strong lasting power, it can easily be worn during a summer night out as well. The orange bottle titled "Malibu" is definitely the strongest scent of the "Malibu" collection and I always remember what it smells like and how it makes me feel when I wear it. The pink "La La Malibu" bottle is not as easily identifiable and even though I have it, I forget what it smells like if I haven't recently sprayed it. The same goes for "Malibu Surf".

I see a lot of people saying they're generally unimpressed by this scent, but I find it really lovely. It works really well with my chemistry, is inoffensive, and really nice spice to it that rounds out the sweetness. I'm not great at picking out individual scents, but I can tell you that all of those scents together make Malibu smell great. It definitely feels like a summer night on the boardwalk. I'm wearing it today and it's freezing cold outside and there is snow everywhere but I feel absolutely deliciously warm with this lovely scent. Now with that being said, would I spend $60+ USD on this fragrance? Probably not. But I would buy it if it were on sale!

So upon first spray you get a blast of that mandarin orange that made me think this was exactly like Couture Couture by VLJ. But then it dried down and it’s almost identical to the OG Juicy Couture fragrance. And I looked up the notes and they’re damn there identical. Most of the top and middle notes are the same. This just lacks that sultry caramel and crème brûlée that OG juicy has but the difference is so slight very few would know the difference. If you have OG you don’t need this too

Love it. It's basically original Juicy Couture with a slightly fruitier summer vibe. The initial spray does have a slight chemical, almost acetone like scent to it but that quickly fades and I'm left with the beautiful familiar original Juicy Couture scent but with a fruity summer vibe to it. I like it a lot. The sillage is pretty good but the longevity not so much. But I love that it comes in a 5 oz bottle so I don't mind having to reapply.

A shop had an outlet, so, I came home with this beautiful perfume last summer, all nice words are said about this perfume, and, first I can smell the white flowers, than the fruits, it's clean and easy-going, perfect for everyday use, I'm glad I got a big bottle, 2.5 oz / 75 ml, and I can overspray and spoil myself as much as I want to, yeah...=))

One of my favorite summer perfumes! I remember I had this a few years ago, used it up and now I wanted it back in my collection. It smells like summer :) So easy to wear, nothing cloying and its a perfect mix of sweet, fruity and soft. It has kind of a fruit bubblegum scent :) I wonder if this is what Malibu smells like... Love it.

It is a nice scent. I wear it as my day time perfume. It's a fruity, beachy and floral scent. It is fresh and light. I really like it.

At the checkout line, you pull on her sleeve and point at the display holding miniature beauty products and weird tech accessories. “Would you get that for me?” It’s a double-sided roller ball with Malibu and La La. You cross your fingers behind your back in hope. You have seen the most beautiful “women” (15-year-olds) you’ve ever laid eyes on in your (10-year-old) life dressed up in that exact font. You want to breathe and be it: the spray tan, the belly button ring, the bleach blond chi-flat-iron straightened hair, but most of all, those velour sweatpants with the rhinestones on the butt. This is it. Your first step towards womanhood. She says yes! This is now your signature fragrance until you turn 18. The pink side is for school. The orange side is for church. You ask for it for birthdays. You revisit Kohl’s with birthday and Christmas money. But someday, you’ll forget about it for years — until it’s 2:43 am and you’re 26 going, “what was that rollerball perfume called again?” I’m nonbinary now so I hate this fragrance on me but when I was trying really hard to be a girl it was absolutely my favorite. So if you too want to be a girl — hard, full-stop recommend for both Malibu (orange) and La La (pink), but I will say La La is my favorite of the two. But while La La is SOOOOO flirty, fruity, and playful, Malibu is a little more refined and restrained. That’s why it’s for church, DUH.

A very summery, fun, non-committal scent that doesn't try too hard. When I say "non-committal" I mean it isn't trying to make you, the wearer, fall in love. Rather, you fall in like with Malibu. Yes, it's generic- but it does generic well. And sometimes you want something safe and dependable to reach for; you don't always want to think so hard when it comes to a fragrance. Malibu shines in the heat. Come winter it doesn't make much sense, but for a warm sunny day of outdoor mall shopping or beach activity, it's fine. I'd also suggest this for a teen looking to break into the world of perfume with a starter pick; something to keep in your high school locker to spritz on between classes. Listen, for the price it's a good buy. You can get a whopping five ounce for less than twenty dollars.

this fragrance has been discontinued but i’ve been looking for a fresh summer scent because I live in the middle east and it gets sweltering here in the summer, so when I saw an overstock retailer selling this perfume for about $20, I had to pick it up as a blind buy due to the passion fruit note. I don’t get passion fruit from it, but I love this fragrance. it’s fresh, floral, and with a bit of tart fruitiness on the dry down mixed in. I absolutely don’t get a single whiff that reminds me of Viva La Juicy, as some others have stated. I say give it a go if you can still find it and you love white florals

An early Christmas gift. There's not a lot to say about this one. It's extremely light and on my skin, the notes that stands out the hardest which is rather very hard to discern is the Rose, Lilies and Passion Fruit. The sillage is weak. The longevity is meh. I really can't tell if I go blind to the scent or if it's so faint, I wouldn't notice if it stuck around. I have to get right on my skin to smell it but it's not unpleasant to smell. I just wished I got more of a fruity smell instead of a floral. I was for once looking for a super fruity sweet sweet gourmand and got a very light floral instead.

So on me this smells like the original Juicy couture but with a strong orange note that I thought was tangerine. Like the original Juicy Couture it’s pretty&girly.This is like her surfer sister still classy just a little more fun. I feel like you can’t go wrong with Juicy Couture fragrances, minus the hippie juicy fragrance that one just smells like straight up cut grass.But anyways safe blind buy. Fits any occasion and it’s non offensive. The florals give it enough depth for any age range meanwhile staying young with citrus fruit notes. Care-free,Well liked, Bright

Like much of Juicy's scents it't not the statement making showstopper fragrance that everyone here seems to be searching for and I wasn't expecting that from Juicy. That aside, this isn't as obnoxiously sweet/fruity as the majority of JC frags. Its pretty much the same from first spray through drydown: a white floral with some sharper tropical undertones. Its casual without trying too hard and is a good choice for a summer fragrance. I'll be trying Couture La La soon.

Another recently discovered one that sat on my perfume shelf neglected for so long. Light, fresh, and soapy, I can’t detect any of the fruity notes listed here. More like an generic, clean smelling body spray. However I have discovered that layered over Chanel Chance, the two fragrances together seem to pick up and harmonize a pink pepper note that is present in both scents and I can never get enough pink pepper. For that reason I’ll keep it around.

this was a blind buy, i definitely wanted this because of the watermelon note. i cannot smell watermelon in it at all, but i'd say it's a really nice fresh fragrance. it definitely has that typical juicy couture DNA in it. It is light and clean, i like it but don't love it. worth trying out but probably not worth a repurchase.

This is a great summer scent. It's performance is much better than it's counterpart Couture La La. It's fruity but the white florals are also prominent. And I love the aquatic vibe. I feel like a day at the beach, a sundress, definitely a day off doing something fun. It's bright, sunny and carefree.

I really wanted this one, when I first smelt it I thought it was amazing smelt it again today.... and its not that great it smells like something u can buy at bath and body works and the body shop, the other one is better in my opinion

A nice light summery scent. Tropical and fruity, almost citrus without the harsh, sharp smell that seems to be in a "citrus" type. It's lovely and not overbearing.

starts off with typical horrible jasmine, but sweet tuberose comes out more with tropical and watery fruits

I'm mot impressed by this one.I much prefer the pink one of the two.

Juicy scents are usually hit or miss for me, and I always try to be patient and let fragrances sit down before any criticism. However, this one just came in with screechy jasmine, passion fruit, and tiare. I got a hint of sour orange cleaning fluid as well. I waited and waited but sadly, it never developed into something nice for me.

About a month ago I was contacted out of the blue by a dodgy perfume website and asked if I would like a free bottle of Juicy Couture Malibu. I of course said yes despite my trepidation, and not surprisingly that perfume never actually arrived in my mailbox. Browsing through the department store, I stumbled upon a tester of Juicy Couture Malibu that piqued my curiosity. I wanted to see what I was missing out on. In answer to that, I was not missing out on much at all. Juicy Couture Malibu is quite a generic, shampoo-like fruity floral. The clean, fruity aspects are somewhat appealing, however the overall blend is a little clunky and synthetic. There are some Juicy Couture fragrances that I really enjoy, yet there are some others, (usually flankers) that fail to excite me. I am yet to test the Couture La La Malibu, but seeing that these fragrances were quite speedily discontinued I don't hold much hope. The notes that stand out the most to my nose include passionfruit, mandarin orange, black currant and an obtrusive white musk accord. Due to the fact that Juicy Couture Malibu doesn't last all too well on the skin, I would advise applying this fragrance as you would a body spray. I often see larger 150ml bottles of this fragrance on the shelves of my local department store, so with such a large amount of fragrance you could get away with a few extra sprays.

What drew me to this perfume is that it comes in such a LARGE bottle....5oz to be exact, and I always buy the largest size bottle of perfume I can get....being the perfume-aholic that I am :) I came across this on Amazon for 29.99 for the 5oz bottle. Now, I was worried with it being a blind buy, and I had smelled the la la Malibu and also the original la la couture...which I LOVE both of those so so so much! This just came in the mail today and I must say I'm. Very happy with my purchase!!!!! It's very light, which is okay since it was so cheap...I will need to reapply this a lot! It's absolutely beautiful! Light, flirty, girly, fresh and fun! It reminds me of something but I can't for the life of me think of what perfume it reminds me of! Either way, I'm so happy I bought this.

At least this couture makes an attempt to smell somewhat different. The passionfuit really comes through. Although, Like all of this brand its longevity & sillage are pretty bad. Literally minutes only. I think if you want something that smells fun, tropical/ summer like & a little sweet you would be far happier with Britney Spears VIP Private show. That at least lasts all day & people can actually smell you.

I tried it yesterday, and it found it a bit sharp, to me, it smelled more like a body spray..nothing great there, overrated for the price tag?I can see young girls liking that, or if you are looking for a summery light scent...longevity is poor though. This isn't overly sweet. A mix of undistinct floral notes rather..

This is a mainstay for a more practical reason. It serves as a good base for the perfumes in my collection that have weak sillage or longevity. Works like a charm every time. Today I am layering it with Coconut Soleil from Kindred Goods.

There's a couture la la version as well, but we've recieved no testers for them, so they're just sitting there. All I can do is imagine what they smell like. If it smells anything "Malibu"...it's nothing special.

Far too sweet, cloying for my taste. Irrespective of my personal preference, this has poor longevity. Likely created to capitalize on the fruity floral "craze du jour", rather than creating a well crafted scent.

I tested this at Bloomingdales and even the sales girl agreed it was more like a body splash from bath and body works.

this is my new favourite perfume!! it smells reLLY YUMMIE and tropical and a real summer perfume. i want it so bad. :)

Screechy jasmine (and I usually like jasmine). Had to scrub because I don't like my fragrances yelling at me :)

This one smells exactly like Boss Ma Vie Pour Femme by Hugo Boss to me lol rather generic, still likeable

I love this. It's so fresh! Smells almost like coconut, even though it doesn't contain the note.

I love this one on me it smells so summery and reminds of me of living in Florida.
