Juicy Couture Oui

I almost feel guilty to admit that this has been my signature scent for a few years now and I've gone through several bottles. Probably because I've taken an almost extreme interest in fragrances lately and want to frolick in the same lane as some of these expert reviewers and their intricate and fascinating opinions on perfumes. Juicy Couture is typically not highly regarded, from what I've experienced. To each their own. OUI a warm weather scent - the watermelon juiciness implies a bright and leisurely time. I think it's being discontinued, so I really began to try out other scents.. and have been neglecting my bottle (it's also winter time where I am, and I've decided I want a real "winter" cozy perfume... but that's beside the point.) This perfume does have a woodier dry-down, which I've discovered that I absolutely adore in perfumes. Note that I hadn't been incredibly interested in trying new scents until lately. OUI (proper) is my favorite "version" of this line. The Splash smells like sunscreen and as if someone is trying very hard to convince you that they're on vacation. It has it's own merit but this is not a review of Splash. Glow is not very interesting to smell in my opinion, I find it to be pretty generic. To me, OUI (proper) has many things going for it. I've not known a fruity perfume to have this level of well-roundedness and be able to balance florals and woods at the same time. This also stays on my clothing for a seemingly infinite amount of time. Everyone's body chemistry is of course different, and it is so interesting to me to see others say that it smells sharp or offensive in some way. It apparently agrees with my body chemistry very well, and I do get compliments when wearing it out and about. Also my boyfriend tends to hug me extra tightly. My mom loves this perfume, too. The first time she smelled it on me, she kept sniffing my head and remarking that my hair smelled really nice. I told her that it was this perfume, and ended up giving her my rollerball from my purse. Since then, she has wanted the full set with the lotion, body wash, and edp for the last 3 Christmases! She uses them up yearly!

Wow this is a love for me! I smelt it on my grandma first, and it smelt so fresh and floral on her she immediately gave me a sample. Fast forwards, I have bought the whole set and it smells so juicy on me! Yes it does open with watermelon, but its really just fresh sweet and floral, a bit citrusy too. So for me, being still young, this is exactly how I want to smell if I want to be clean and fresh, yet still retain that youthful sweetness. The watermelon isn't overly sweet but more tangy from the citrus, its really quite unique! I wouldn't fully describe it as fruity. Clearly, this perfume is appropriate for all ages and is just the dream summer scent. It's a compliment getter because there isn't anything like it but its still simple (not basic) and enjoyable for all. Its the strongest juicy couture scent I have had so wont fade away either. What makes it appropriate is the white floral notes, which add a classy element to the scent. Although if this helps, it smells just how the bottle looks (bright and classy, young yet reserved) so if you have fallen in love with the beautiful bottle just like me, run and get it. Its unlike no other juicy couture perfume. As for the vibe, its a day by your friend's pool, reading magazines and making drinks, and really anyone can do that, that's why I say its for all ages!

This fragrance is fruity, fresh and a little sweet, but it's very unique. For some strange reason, i can't really detect the pear or watermelon. It's like they're perfectly blended together. The acai berry and honeysuckle definitely plays a huge role in how this unique scent came about. "Oui" is a playful summer scent, but it's definitely not juvenile like a lot of JC fragrances. I can definitely picture a woman in her mid 40's wearing this scent just as well as a 21 year old woman wearing this. The bottle is just as unique as the juice inside of it. It reminds me of nail polish lol. The opening is a bit strange and maybe that's why some people dislike it, but after 10 minutes, it turns into pure pleasure and i no longer understand why this fragrance could ever be disliked. The longevity is okay. I get about 4-5 hours on my skin. I'm not too sure about projection. This fragrance is inoffensive and is safe for work, outings with friends, and close encounters. For the price they're charging for it, you're getting a pretty amazing scent. I definitely recommend this fragrance for anyone, but sample it first. Scent: 8/10 Packaging: 10/10 Performance: 7/10

Ok. In spite of my ignorance of exactly what a “technowood” note is, I bought a bottle of this. I was also hesitant because there’s a tea note mentioned, and tea notes in general do not agree with me and make me nauseous. I will admit the bottle did play some part in my decision to purchase, it’s a really interesting bottle and I collect bottles as well as the fragrances. The top notes to have a hint of tea but it’s very fleeting. The main note I get from this is the watermelon. In my opinion it’s really well done and not like a cheap synthetic body spray watermelon. It really smells like when I cut open a Fresh watermelon. It’s so good! I find this lasts moderately well meaning it’s like 6 hours. There is some sillage, but it’s subtle. What I mean by this is that it won’t fill a room and leave a long trail, but it’s not a skin scent for me either. I think this could be worn in many settings without offending others, but that people will still notice you smell good. I don’t get the woody notes at all.... so alas, technowood still remains a mystery to me. I say if you like an authentically fresh fruit smell, you would like this.

From the bottle I expected another hot mess fruity cocktail. But this actually surprised me! It's very elegant, floral and sultry. Yes there is a pear top note but it fades pretty quick and you are left with a sophisticated creamy floral scent. I smell tuberose over honeysuckle. Normally Juicy Couture perfumes have a horrendously sweet honeysuckle note (like in VLJ Fleur and others). It's super cloying and nasty. This is NOTHING like that honeysuckle. IMO it's a very clean, fresh, light honeysuckle scent. It reminds me a little bit of Versace Bright Crystal and the Yellow Diamond version. Lightly fruity but mainly clean, woody, musky feminine floral. Of all the Juicy perfumes, this one is definitely more mature and along the lines of the original in that it's not a super gourmand scent. I like it a lot but it's not unique enough that I NEED it now. I'll wait until inevitably, a big gift set of this is like $30 at TJ Maxx within a year. I hate the bottle, it's super tacky. Even the VLJ bottles are cuter than this.

HANDS DOWN MY FAV SUMMER FRAG. I am definitely a winter perfume girl as I prefer warm spicy scents, so I tend to be really picky about my summer frags. I'm on the younger side so I tend to shy away from strong florals/white florals, and I really wanted a light fruity perfume for summer. Essentially, summer perfume where the emphasis was on the fruity of fruity floral. Which took a lot longer than I thought to find, but THIS. Oh my Lord. This is beautifully refreshing, I can definitely feel the ozonic description above, but in a strange way a sweetly refreshing frag. This is beautifully feminine, classy, and effortlessly light and sexy. And for a fruity perfume, the longevity is not bad. Only floral part I get on this is the honeysuckle which is relatively prominent, but I am actually pretty fond of it. 10/10 would recommend this to any younger girl as staple summer frag.

IM OBSESSED! ❤️🍉 Oui is a burst of fresh, fruity, and floral aromas - perfect for the summer. The watermelon hits you immediately upon spraying and it is quite JUICY and SWEET. After a while, Oui calms down to a mostly white floral fragrance with the honeysuckle and jasmine notes coming forward. PROS: The perfume has great longevity, especially on clothing! The bottle is pretty and fun in Juicy Couture's signature vibrant style. It manages to be sweet, but not cloying on my skin (although everyone's skin will react to the chemicals differently). CONS: If you do not enjoy strong or sweet feminine scents, this perfume may not be for you. Some may find Oui too juvenile, but I think the fresh and green notes help add some maturity to it. Oui can also be expensive depending on where and when you buy it, so be on the lookout for good deals.

This is so nice to me. Despite the other reviews I don’t find this extremely generic. It’s very pear and watermelon smelling at first, smells like sweet juicy fruits. Like literally biting into an amazing juicy pear or something in the summer. It’s also a bit “green” smelling to me which I love and think makes it kinda aquatic. Lasts super long on clothes. Only thing I’ll say is the bottle is annoying because you cant tell how much you’ve used.

I was very skeptical about this fragrant but then i decided to get it at tjmax. Best blind buy ever !! The scent is amazing ! smell so delicious and not overwhelmed ! suitable during spring/ summer. I work at the veterinary clinic and i am in a room with clients and working side by side with doctors and my tech friends so the scent is not too strong for work at all. And i get a lot of compliments from doctors !

I love this perfume! I agree with another reviewer that it is similar to Versace bright crystal but a little more musky/sexy scent. This lasts forever and you have to be careful not to spray too much. I can't believe there are so many reviews saying it doesn't last. I can smell it days later on my clothes in the laundry hamper! Maybe they can't smell very well? I'm happy to have found this scent.

I was not impressed when I first bought the roller ball a month and a half ago. I made the mistake of trying this in cold weather. I retried it today in warm humid weather - wow what a difference! I will definitely get the 1.7 oz and matching lotion for layering, but again either summer or a warm spring day only. Otherwise, it will smell sharp and unimpressive. Great job juicy couture!

Love this scent, I have reached for it all summer 2022. I definitely pick up the aquatic juicy fruit although I wouldn’t have said watermelon given the notes, I can imagine a watermelon in the fragrance. Also a sharp fresh floral in it as well. While I wish it was a little more juicy and a bit stronger it’s still an easy wear.

This is the perfect summer scent in my opinion. It smells like a fresh fruit salad with some floral to me. Layer this with Shanghaf Oud Ahmar and you will smell incredible. I don't know why people say this does not last long on them, OUI lasts on me. One of my favorite daytime scents. Perfect for work!!

Got this as a free sample. Pleasantly surprised. It's crispy and fresh. Has a watermelon vibe to it. Kind of reminds me of a combo of Ralph Lauren Cool and Madison Sq Park , two of my fave fragrances. Will be buying a full size at some point.

Just like Green Tea Summer without the bitterness- hence much better. Watermelon, Tea and the white florals is what comes out best. Refreshing. Feels like a green garden with flowers, by the pool.

One of my favs from Juicy Couture. Smells like a beautiful white floral. I hadn't sniffed her in a long time, when I tried it today, I was pleasantly surprised!

Can someone please School me on what a “technowood” note is? The ad copy said “techno wood base” so I’m just wondering.

Juicy Couture Oui summer test two sprays on inner wrist i was comparing stronger scents but i got a good sampling of this. NOT the same as the other Vivas, or Lalas etc. This scent isnt what it looks like it will be, and if you smell just the nozzle it is different than what you might spray on. The colours of the bottle should be sky blue and a watery green aqua. this is fresh. i think the accords list needs turning on its head. ozonic, green, aquatic, fresh, white floral, fruity. This lasted very well for a light scent - i have had many dissapointments over the years with lighter (but lovely) scents, i have had meagre lasting power from some scents by Juicy. On me this is metallic/generic and hopeless in the beginning - a friendly store person sniffed my wrist and agreed (i didnt promt them). She was actually wearing the same scent and it smelled different on her. Later as the day wears on it improves, and then i get a generally nice perfume in the accords in the way ive relisted them above. so, fresh, ozonic/green but not massively so, aquatic no where near tap water/ocean specifically but a vibe, the florals and fruits are way down the list supporting. I will retest. :)

For those of you smelling citrus but don’t see it listed, I have a carded sample: “get hooked right from the start with the tart freshness of watermelon and lemon in a special water lemon note. The chic sophistication of jasmine absolute paired with provocative wild tuberose creates an iconic duo while a modern sense of addiction is born through sleek techno woods.” I love the fresh burst as it’s short lived. Yes, it feels like a good youthful body spray for a few minutes and that’s a pleasant thing. It’s like we are back in a simpler place for a brief moment. Then the fruit dissipates, leaving an airy and cool feel without much juiciness. I don’t get the florals, just a pleasant clean not soapy feeling. It shifts a bit as I smell it, a little sweeter now, a little more woody a few moments later but never settles on any specific notes. Right now, it’s pleasant not full bottle worthy. If someone gave it to me as a gift, I’d be pleased to use it tho. I’ll try again in warmer weather, I don’t see this being long lasting.

When I tried Oui in July, I didn't have a positive opinion - I got a fleeting hint of citrusy-watermelon that changed to floral within an hour and then disappeared to the point that I re-applied a few times during the day. Taking a suggestion from the Perfume Maven (Youtube), I decided to try it now since we're in the cooler Fall/Winter season. I paired it with B&BW Fresh Sparkling Snow body cream and had a more positive experience with both the fragrance and its longevity. The only difference is that I got no melon or fruit scent at all - it was a sharp floral cacophony for about 30 minutes after the initial spray - I think it was more tuberose & jasmine. By the time I got to work it had calmed down to a really pleasant (close to the skin) floral scent that lasted until about 2-3 in the afternoon. I "re-upped" so I could enjoy the scent on my ride home. I'm so glad I gave it a second chance and intend to continue using Oui during these cooler months since it seems to react better with my body chemistry.

It starts off cool melony smelling, not much citrus and not very sharp smelling, then quickly the indolic florals and the musk come through, with a slight whiff of tea, but never too excessive - I am normally very sensitive to indolic florals and don't like too much of those as it gets smelly and headache inducing. For me, this doesn't come across smelly or gives me a headache, probably also because I don't overspray. It lasts a long time on me. Throughout the day, I keep getting whiffs of the scent, so the longevity is pretty good. My son could smell it across the room! It's quite strong and longevity is good, so avoid overspraying, or it can be headache inducing.This is not a gourmand/yummy/foody scent that many young people today seem to prefer. I think it's overall a pleasant perfume to wear, very suitable for the office. Not smelling like sweets, yet feminine, floral, rather cool and fresh. I'm not one to go for very melon-y scents usually, but if you like that, then this is worth a try.

8/9/22 - Juicy Couture Oui - 3.5/5 stars. Had as a small sample. I sprayed this at 7am, by 11am I could barely smell it on me and I used moisterizer beforehand. At 2pm the scent was basically completely gone. Spring/summer (more spring) & day vibe. Shes fresh at first, I smell the watery-ness and sweetness of the watermelon and the tea. As it dries I smell the white florals more, but it stays light and airy - not powdery. When it sets, i can smell the wood first and then the sweeter, comfier amber. The whole time, this perfume keeps a lightness and slight sweetness to it .Visual: It's a little breezy, you're in a park eating watermelon under a tree and you see a white flower that just dropped off of the tree and landed in a still river. The girl wearing Oui is a nice, care free girl who follows a "clean girl" aesthetic. She laughs loudly, dances in the rain, drinks her green juices, wears white dresses and romantices her days.

I never liked the clothes but boy does Juicy Couture make some of the best perfumes out there. One of my top 5 fragrances of all time is JC Couture Couture which is so underrated it’s astounding. I love VLJ, I love juicy couture, Hollywood Royale. I like the bottles of the recent VLJ to some extent but they’re quite over the top lately! So I am a big JC fan. The bottle of Oui is absolutely beautiful and looks so unique and creative, it’s the real hero of this creation. The fragrance is nice just to be honest I thought I would like it more (love it) rather than feel that I just like it. I love watermelon fragrances. The problem is that the staying power is not good. It’s lovely to smell for a little while even if a bit generic I just wish it lasted! But if you love JC and the bottle I say go for it. I don’t regret buying it at all.

So I really liked this scent right when I sprayed it. Watermelon and pear aren't necessarily scents that excite me, but in this scent I smell them both and they are really lovely on the skin. Juicy, bubbly, but also held down by the florals. However the performance could be a lot better. A fragrance that made me happy when I put it on. However after about an hour that lovely scent fades significantly, and it becomes a skin scent with a fruity aquatic note. It lasts a bit better on clothes, but not by much. It's just all that girly loveliness at the beginning is subdued and turned into something very faint and mediocre- slightly watery, slightly fruity, ozonic but not at all that punchy, clear beginning. It's so faint. I do like the scent a lot but the performance does bum me out a bit. Overall 7/10

The opening reminds me of watermelon jolly rancher candies. Not as sugary sweet but similar. I have OUI Glow too and just like OG the opening is my favorite versus the dry down. The dry down sort of reminds me of a lighter version of Xerjoff Erba Pura. It is definitely a skin scent at dry down. It is a nice inoffensive fragrance. I won this in a giveaway so I definitely would only buy this for the bottle so I have the set. It isn't my favorite of the two scents but it is an easy reach summer or spring pick. It is light so it should be bearable to wear in the hot weather. I used 6 sprays and got 4 hours from it. Sillage was arm's length at first spray and then a skin scent at dry down.

This is juicy fruity goodness! The watermelon and honeysuckle stand out in my opinion and then it dries down to a nice amber, but as with all Juicy fragrances the performance is poor. Despite the longevity and silage being less than average I still really enjoy this for the limited amount of time that it lasts on my skin. If you don’t mind reapplying throughout the day this is a nice fruity and bright fragrance for the warmer months. *I’d like to add that I do not pick up any soap with this scent on my skin at all. I know others have mentioned it, and obviously fragrances always perform differently on different people, but I truly get so much fruit with this perfume.

On first spray, it can be a little intense. Very juicy and fruity, maybe a bit alcoholic. Almost reminiscent of hairspray in a way. But upon dry down on my skin, it turns very green and ozonic, with the white floral notes. It reminds me of a sunny summer's day, perfect for poolside. It can almost lean into a feminine and fresh athletic scent on my skin, which I enjoy because it's perfect for a hot day when you tend to sweat. I think, like most perfumes, it's dependent on one's own chemical makeup and their body's reaction to the perfume. It lasts a good while without reapplying, even with sweating, and the scent has a decent sillage.

I’m not gonna lie, I tested this when it first was released and I found it just....meh.... So, imagine my surprise when I was gifted this at Christmas. My expectations were not high after that first testing. Well, it turns out that I really like it. I like it so much that I’ve bought another bottle! When I wear this it makes me feel happy. I know that sounds so corny but it’s true lol reminds me of a delicious watermelon lemonade drink, chilling on a beach with a warm breeze wafting around you. Lasting power is about 7-8 hours. Just goes to show, if you give something a second chance you may actually LOVE it!

Oui kicks with a bright lemon (a special water lemon note, according to Juicy Couture). It’s very girly, playful and young. Right after, the pear appears and then the watermelon. After probably five minutes, the pear and watermelon create a sort of weird fruity combination that is paired with jasmine and a water down version of tuberose. At this point the sillage dropped quite a bit. In my opinion (as a guy), there’s nothing wrong with Oui but at the same time nothing to go crazy. It’s like when you go shopping and see a nice sweater, it’s cute, you get excited but then you think: Do I need it?

This is an ok fruity floral scent. Better worn on warmer Spring and Summer days. It’s very refreshing and a bit clean in a fruity way. Smells of Watermelon and Berries at first, mid I get the Honeysuckle and Jasmine, base is a nice Amber on my skin. It’s nothing special but it’s also not unpleasant. This is an easy, on the run fragrance. Great for shopping or anything leisurely. And nice for outdoor picnics and whatnot in the Summer. Sweet, fruity, fresh and slightly clean. Lasts 2-3 hours, if that. I enjoy it, not sure I would repurchase. Maybe I’ll try one of the flankers.

At first it’s a nice burst of Watermelon mixed with what seems to be some Citrus but they arnt in the notes. Then I start to smell the Honeysuckle and in my opinion that really made this fragrance. Then I start to smell something a bit airy and slightly aquatic. Which may be the pear or tea note...I’m unsure. Comparing this to the Glow flanker, this one really is the best pick. I have yet to try Splash, but I plan to. I originally thought Glow would be the winner out of the two but the Orange in it is just too potent and takes over the whole fragrance and ruins it IMO.

When I first sprayed Oui, it was such a delicious smell but very familiar. Less than an hour later I met my sister and after she hugged me she asked if I returned to wear Carolina Herrera, my signature perfume from 1989 to 1992. Then it hits me, the familiarity is that it reminded me to my signature perfume. (Carolina Herrera suited me so, that everybody gifted me a bottle, and at one point I had 5 unoppenned bottles that I ended giving away. So they wouldn't spoiled) This one is a little more fruity, more fresh, but equally beautiful.

This fragrance opens with a burst of shampoo like freshness , lots of juicy fruits, with a hint of floral sweetness, but very quickly settles into a sour, sharp and tea like fragrance which reminds me of Elizabeth Arden’s green tea flankers. The notes most prominent on my skin are the tea, acai berry & honeysuckle but it’s like the sourness & greenness are clashing with the sweetness, not a good combination at all . That opening is beautiful though, but it lasts for only 15-20 seconds . Sadly i Had to give this one away!

It's a YES for me! I like this in the heat. I tried this in the winter, and got barely there, watered down, fruity body mist - so I returned the bottle. Months later after trying this in the hot summer weather, I repurchased it. It smells so feminine, delicate and clean to me. I get mainly a pretty mix of watermelon and pear offering a crisp, sweet, clean, and feminine tone; while the amber, wood and musk give me some lasting power and depth to the overall fragrance. On me, in the summer heat, this lasts for hours!

To be straight, this is how I smell after I shower except longer. I use wild honeysuckle and whichever scent they make with a decent hit of that lovely flower. I wanted to say it smelled more like their rome honeysuckle (which I ran out of recently) but it wasn't an option. It lasts a long time but I wouldn't pay that price for something I get for much cheaper to just to wash my body.

Definitely one that requires layering to get the most out of it. I used it with the original Eau de Couture Juicy Couture fragrance to create an intense version and it's perfect - the addition of praline & tea are perfect, and take EDC from my "high school signature scent" to a new, slightly more grown up version perfect for my thirties as a cute nostalgic day scent.

A very nice yet simple fragrance. Its a fresh/fruity scent and reminds me of a watermelon body wash. It's perfect for a beautiful spring or summer day. I enjoy pairing this fragrance with coconut scented lotion because it makes me smell so delicious! On my skin it fades pretty quickly but lasts very long on clothing as i can still smell it the next day on my shirt.

Love this scent. It smells fresh and sweet which I love. Decent lasting power. I love getting whiffs of this on me throughout the day. Definitely a warmer weather scent, but I sometimes use it year round. I just use it for everyday, running errands. Never got a compliment while wearing it, but everyone is wearing masks so that could be it!

I like this one. I'm not sure why the reviews are so low. It's light and fruity, especially the watermelon. Very good for spring and summer. It's pleasant and fresh, wearable anywhere and not as sweet as some typical Juicy Couture fragrances. Good safe option for day wear and work. I wouldn't put it down as a love but it's a definite like.

At first I thought it smelled too teenager-y but after dry down, a nice aquatic sheerness balances it out a bit. But still too sweet smelling for me. A good blind buy though, nothing challenging if you're looking for a summery happy daytime scent. It lasts forever, even after a shower!

I love the bright fruits and slight floral... But the amber in the base note smells animalic like deer or beaver, the smell reminds me of an old sponge too... After awhile I get used to the smell until my daughter catches a whiff and reminds me. I'm torn because I love and hate it.

A fruity scent. I can really sense pear and watermelon in it. There's also some honeysuckle and tea. It's not the best from Juicy Couture, but is kind of okay. It is suitable for autumn in my opinion. That part they've nailed. I think it's nice enough for an everyday autumn scent.

I like it but im just trying to find the watermelon in here , and the aquaticness . normally honeysuckle is very sweet and wet floral and then pear and watermelon I was expecting something fruity and refreshing and wet . But its very sharp . I still like it but its not a love .

Meh, pretty boring and pedestrian. Not a big fan of aquatics, so this doesn't really do anything for me. You won't offend anyone, but not sure anyone will notice you are wearing it. Don't hate it, but don't love it either.

This is a really yummy watermelon scent. I personally prefer the Oui Splash flanker but this is really yummy and refreshing. Definitely something you reach for in the summer when you need something yummy but refreshing.

Been wearing this one almost every day this week! My current bottle of body lotion has a light green scent, so I wanted a fresh scent to go on top. Refreshing and inoffensive.

I got this as a Christmas present. It is pretty weak and smells weird upon first spray. After dry down, I feel like it's a fairly generic scent that doesn't really stand out.

I bought a travel size today. It's nice. Nothing spectacular, but nice. I appreciate that it's very different than other JC frags. I probably won't buy it again.
