Majestic Woods

As Niche as any None-Niche could be - reminds me of a very expensive Niche Woodsy/Ambre Eau de Parfum or even Elixir, with Praline & some Vanille, & I cannot quite put my finger on which one it is (something from House of Oud I think, which is hideously expensive) & I think that this has either a little, very light oud inside the formula - or there's a couple of woodsy & patchouli notes combining to give that impression, but nevertheless, this very very similar to that one - & the way many, many High End Niche Perfume Houses mix Ouds with Praline & a not too sweet Vanilla - the Vanilla in this reminds of Oud Bouquet by Lancome maybe not quite as sweet but otherwise similar. I don't find this masculine at all - it COULD be worn by a man, yes (& on a man's skin would pull more masculine) but I wore this once & it was lovely - lasts all night & was still on my skin the next morning; & I had numerous compliments & "what are you wearing?" questions - people coupd smell the praline, "something like maple syrup" & the vanilla - maybe it pulls sweet on my skin, but when I purchased this the Sales Manager at the Departmemt Store was wearing this & it smelled SO opulent & so gorgeous, as she wafted around the store, that I decided to get this instead of Glistening Ambre (both are amazing though) - & the packaging is stunning - it feels like such a treat & looks really "Wow" on shelf! I really like Woodsy & Ambre for Autumn, Winter so this is perfect for me, but you could wear this Spring/Anytime, it's definitely not heavy or cloying (I don't get "motor oil" or whatever!) but it is Arabian Inspired, & made for Western tastes obviously, there's nothing hugely jarring unlike many Ouds if you haven't worn them, I couldn't wear Shagraf Oud, Alien Oud or even the slightly better quality than Shagraf, Lancome Oud Bouquet - so for a None Oud Wearer like me this is a nice way to dip your tiniest toe into Arabian Inspired Fragrances & not jump back; I don't think this could be better than it is espcially for this price, I did get a backup though (because I thought these would be hugely popular & sell out often) they were saying about it only being produced for the Middle East Markets! but even so, maybe it was "could have" been "less huge" because maybe the usual Juicy Couture person was expecting more of the berries, a few flowers + lots of caramel as usual - i.e, JC Gold Couture, & so it might not be for them , but I mean, it is Woodsy & Ambre, it says so - but I would say JC Majestic Woods is much more sophisticated & grownup than any of this type in Designer (& once it gets to drydown, it is not massively far-away from the base of Gold Couture really, it does have Praline + Vanilla a plenty + a maple syrup type vibe & definitely smells really expensive, am so happy with it (& I'm sure the one that it reminds me of & I'm thinking of- is House of Oud, which despite the name of the Perfume House don't always have any or much Oud, but all of theirs are really expensive altogether- but love this, it's very plush & opulent (gorgeous!) & it does have those sweetish accords, tempered by the woodsy/ambre whole, so it's beautifuly balanced & nothing one dimensional. + it lasts without being cloying which makes a nice change from usually Juicy Couture offerings, 2 sprays is plenty though, nothing watered down here! A winner in every way, I'm v impressed with these 2 (I haven't tried the R Rose, because it didn't sound like my thing) but this has it's own backup because I really like it. Hope Juicy Couture do some more along these lines because they did a good job + such a glamorous bottle & packaging, what a treat Edit) I have used perfume quite a bit, & thinking about getting a 2nd backup, but if you cannot smell the Vanilla in your bottle of JC Magnificent Woods (& it is really Magnificent!( it needs to settle - stored in cold warehouses/during transport the "Vanilla" ingredients seem to "disappear" but what usually works, is to let it settle (molecularly!) for 3 weeks-isj & then when it has & has macerated a bit more during that time, the Vanilla reappears; the IFRA & "Modern" Vanilla Notes struggle in cold warehouses/transportation (& if you aren't "storing" it, for later - put it into a Living Room cupboard or whatever (not Kitchen! bc that could get too warm) but hopefully slightly warmer than where you usually store perfumes longterm - & if you pop it in a cupboard where it's slightly warm or just warm enough approx so you're comfortable without a sweater, to settle for a few weeks, & then macerate some the Vanilla begins to shine through & everything will be more "rounded" - they should write this on the bottles, though I only found out by accident! (JC MW is a slightly less sweet Vanilla, a bit like in Lancome Oud Bouquet! ( Not like Kayalli, so much, bc their Vanilla 28 has v little actual Vanilla - just brown sugar notes & Sandalwood mostly, & is much sweeter than this - just like Ambre Vanille by Laura Mercier too, has no Vanilla! Their names aren't really descripive of the Perfume in both cases, but JC MW is - & sticks to clothes until you wash them!)

After reading reviews for this fragrance, I was nervous to blind buy a big bottle of it. However, one of my favourite fragrance reviewers on YouTube has it and loves it and I really trust her choices and opinions as I share many of the same loved fragrances as she does. She hates Margiela's By the Fireplace and so do I and she said that this was was nothing like it so that's all I needed to know to make me feel more confident in ordering a bottle (which was on sale for a great price.) First of all, the presentation is impressive. It comes in a substantial, large box where you pull the top off and the bottle sits suspended in the base. The bottle looks expensive and well made, fancy if you will. For those people who love Juicy Couture scents, this is a complete departure from their usual fragrance DNA. Do not expect this to be anything similar to any of their regular offerings. Ordinarily, I do not enjoy any of Juicy Couture's fragrances (except for Gold Couture) so when I found out that this particular line was different, I had a sliver of hope. I am so happy and relieved that I went with my gut instinct and bought it. I love it. Wood is the star of the show here. Generally speaking, I am afraid of anything "oud." It's nice here though. Well blended, smooth, cozy, smokey, not overpowering or too dank. I get the amber and tonka which makes it comforting and deep. There is a dry sweetness from the praline and that is my favourite part. The sum of all parts with this scent just seem to come together perfectly. It's gorgeous on my skin. There is something vaguely familiar about it which I couldn't figure out until I had worn it for a couple of hours. It reminds me of Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf but a better version of it. Softer, less aggressive, not as harsh. Sometimes Spicebomb bothers my allergies but Majestic Woods doesn't bother them at all. Cinnamon isn't in this but I get an overall feel of it somehow. As other reviews stated, when you first spray this on, it tends to be a tad odd (the oud) but just wait until it begins to dry down, that is when the magic happens. I don't know why they marketed this as a women's perfume, it really should have been marketed as unisex because it totally is. A man would have no problem wearing this scent, expecially if he enjoys wearing Spicebomb and Spicebomb Extreme. If this was Juicy Couture's attempt at creating a "niche" vibe, in my opinion, they were successful! Definitely an Autumn and Winter fragrance but the weather is still cool enough right now that I had no problem pulling this off in Spring.

YES YES YES! Juicy Couture created a true masterpiece with this one. This perfume is INTOXICATING! Perfectly-named, Majestic Woods is creeping up to being in my top five favorite fragrances of all time. The heart of this fragrance is oud wood on a bed of sweet amber and deep ambroxan, with the faintest hint of patchouli in the background. The praline and tonka bean add an air of sweetness, but they are definitely not the superstar notes of this fragrance. This juice is the stuff of dreams! Mesmerizing, sexy and mysterious. Amazing sillage and longevity. Everything I could have ever wanted in a fragrance. I'd say this scent is best suited for fall and winter, but I will be wearing it for summer nights as well! I can see this scent easily becoming my signature, as it suits my tastes and persona perfectly. My boyfriend absolutely loves it, which is a huge plus! I spritzed about 7-8 sprays of the sample vial before a night out, and I received an unsolicited compliment from the bartender. He said, "What are you wearing that smells SO good?!" I told him the name, he walked away to serve another customer, and came back to me to continue asking about the notes of the fragrance. Another man sitting next to me also chimed in and said he, too, enjoyed my fragrance! He seemed to be able to detect the praline. After receiving raving compliments that night, I went home and purchased a full bottle on Ebay that I had been eyeing, at a great discounted price! So excited! It may not be worth the full retail for some (I never pay full retail if I can help it), so I urge to try before you buy! This is certainly not blind-buy worthy, as you really have to be a woods lover to fall for Majestic Woods. If you are a diehard addict of woods or amber, then you NEED to sample this one! UPDATE: This fragrance is now competing to be my new signature scent. So in love with it!

I just got this in the mail and I couldn't put finger on how it smelled until I read @Vixen1995's review. If you have ever smelled Babycat by YSL it's damn near identical. Anyway, I got Majestic Woods at a steal from Walmart believe it or not. I sprayed it on a strip at home and It's good. But on a woman's skin😍😜. Oh yes indeed, it's a sweet woody opening almost creamy in a way. I love that the ambroxan helps it push and it's not overbearing in this fragrance. It's an easy blind buy if you're a fan of sweet, woody and ambroxan smells. Ladies, your partner will thank you. As for the men, to my nose it's unisex and I can wear it. With the Turkey 🦃Holiday coming up. If you don't want to wear an expensive gourmand or even expensive fragrance in general for the upcoming holiday. Try this. It's not overly sweet and it's lightly woody smelling but the drydown on me really blends nicely and give like subtly sophisticated smell. The drydown will give some mystery depending on how it blends with your skin.

I bought this as a blind but based on one of my favorite fragrance YouTubers recommendations. When I opened the bottle up and took a big sniff...all I got was spicy cat litter. I honestly got like, a strong ammonia vibe. I spritzed some on my wrist, let it sit, and still. Nothing but cat litter. So I hopped online to read more of the notes, and started smelling my wrist to try and convince my brain that I was smelling amber, woods, powder, caramel, vanilla, etc. I didn’t think it worked because I still smelled the same thing in the morning. I took a risk and sprayed it on my way out the door. In my car, I started to notice that the litter smell was basically gone. Instead it started smelling warm, comforting, sweet and regal. It really just blew me away in a few minutes. I wasn’t expecting to love it. But I got at least 4 compliments on the scent that day, and another person literally wrote down the name so she could pick it up. It’s honestly, and very VERY surprisingly, beautiful.

Sexy. Mysterious. Clean - Irish Spring like. Woody. Amber. Praline. Not too feminine, not very masculine. Immediate love at first sniff!! If you’re giving this a bad review bc it doesn’t smell like X, Y & Z, then that’s not fair - as stated, this is Juicy Couture! For an inexpensive fragrance, you have to admit that this smells amazing! If you like woody, Amber, praline fragrances - you must get your nose on this. If you l appreciate unisex fragrances - you’ll appreciate this. If you smell/rate this AS IS - without comparison, then I believe you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. This could easily become my signature scent and I say this with a collection filled with celebrity to luxury fragrances. This was a WIN for a blind buy.

It's pure wood & I like it. I have paired it with This is Her Zadig & Voltaire; with its chestnut, sandalwood, & cashmere wood notes & Molecule 04 which I am obsessed with at the moment. What a perfect aroma match when I am in the mood for just woodiness in a perfume...I'm always on the hunt for a perfect wood perfume without cedar or cypress... (the conifers/evergreens). The additional notes just add the perfect touch with vanilla, amber, praline, & whipped cream. Oh, I can't forget the ambroxin which I really like in this perfume. Very nice & nostalgic for me & definitely not too masculine at all! 🌳😉

I was finally able to find it online in Canada and I am SO happy with this purchase. I blind bought this after reading the notes and it is everything I was hoping for. Deep and woody, warm, slightly gourmand. At first spray, I can understand what some other reviewers meant by a "light motor oil" smell. I still enjoy it at first spray, although that smell disappears after a few minutes and I'm left with the most amazing woody fragrance. Reminds me of Marc Jacobs decadence without the floral/strong plum note. I like this much more. I am OBSESSED!

I have the trio and Majestic Woods leans towards masculine but unisex...the bottles in this collection are so beautiful imo. I get oud,musk and patchouli vibes from this even though they aren’t listed in the notes. This is very woodsy/woody with hints of praline,Amber and tonka bean.....this is a wonderful fall/winter cold months scent. Sillage and longevity are super long lasting and kinda strong. I personally love this perfume and would get it again. **This perfume will be hit or miss for a lot people.

I have to say, I was not expecting a fragrance like this from Juicy! It smells wonderful. If you like woody, burnt incense type scents, this ones for you. When I initially spray it on my skin, it has a very masculine touch and I initially wasn’t a fan. It quickly settled into a very deep woody scent and I could not stop smelling my arm. This could definitely be consider unisex in my opinion. Good for cold winter nights.

A hidden gem! Stunning. This is amazing value for the quality of the scent. I want to put it in the family of Commodity Gold because on initial blast, I do get some kind of citrusy note. It has a pine/balsam vibe that quickly settles to balance woodsy/sweet fragrance. It’s well balanced. I love that it’s not the typical JC scent profile. The longevity, especially on clothes—easy 8 hours.

This is my least favorite of the 3 in the collection. It would definitely be better on my husband. Regardless, there is a funk in the smell that I just can't shake. It is off-putting to me. I got it to complete the collection as I love the bottles for display. However, I'd pass on this one.

On me, this is strong, sweet, powdery wood. Certainly majestic, and suitable for anyone who enjoys sweet woody scents. Very long lasting (~8-12 hours) with moderate to strong sillage, depending on how many sprays you use.

I'm so glad I bought this! I own Jazz Club and this is very, very similar ith just a little less spicy bite, so it leans a touch more feminine to me, but still in unisex territory. Excellent scent profile for the money!

It's a scent profile that you might not expect from Juicy Couture. Reminds me of various cetalox/ambroxan heavy fragrances (which I love, so lucky me!) - a strong version of NAP with an added touch of sweetness.

I love this! The first spray was quite strong and I didn't know if I would like it, but within a few minutes it was simply lovely! Today is cold and rainy which is perfect weather for this fragrance.

I just received Majestic Woods in the mail today. After looking at the description, I purchased it as an impulse blind buy based on the list of notes alone. It's made with all things I adore. I didn't pay full price, and having had a chance to try it, I'm glad I didn't. But, I think it's well worth considering if wood, amber, and tonka make your heart race. And I'm happy to have it, and am looking forward to enjoying wearing it often in cooler weather. I own and have also sampled so many woody amber fragrances, that I can't make any direct comparisons yet. But it smells very familiar to me. It falls in line with that particular fragrance genre. It's not terribly unique in and of itself, but it is very unique for Juicy Couture. Now the notes. There's the sweet, slightly caramelized note of the prailine. The wood is a sharper oud wood note, it kind of tingles at the back of my nose. The amber is sweet and rich and resinous. The ambroxan gives a musky vibe, and the tonka is absolutely delicious. Faint hints of vanilla and pipe tobacco. I smell no patchouli. I read in a description elsewhere that it contained patchouli, but I'm not detecting it. It's most definitely what I'd consider a unisex, but on the sweet side, and leaning towards the gourmand because of the prailine note. The sweetness is strongest up front, but lasts through the drydown. It's no sweeter than Spicebomb or Pi in my opinion. So, men who are intrigued should not be afraid at all to sample it. The bottle comes across as somewhat masculine. It's in the typical "Juicy" style, but the emblishments are gilded and enameled. No bows and bling here! It's a heavy, substantial glass bottle that has a quality feel to it. Overall, it's a warm, sweet wood/amber fragrance. Suited to cooler weather. With a moderate sillage and good staying power. It's a wild card for Juicy Couture and a departure from their brand identity. If you're into that whole woody amber vibe, put it on your "must sample" list.

Despite not being in the notes list, the strongest notes I get from Majestic Woods are oud and rose, closely followed by praline. It's a dry, bitter, medicinal and clean oud note mixed with a semi-jammy rose. I think there are other woods, too, maybe something like cedar to amplify the dryness. The praline note comes across as crispy and caramelized, and for some reason I also get something juicy-fruity reminiscent of pear that sweetens up the whole scent. I imagined everything to be a little creamier and smoother. Texture-wise the rose and praline feel transluscent and lush, while the oud and woods come across as coarse and rugged in comparison. It's a scent of contrasts and not a seamless blend, it takes a while to come together as a sweet woody amber in the base. I understand why some reviewers say it has a motor oil vibe, it's the sharpness of the patch and oud, but I don't think it's bad or overtaking the scent. This is definitely unusual for Juicy Couture. It's as sweet as most of their perfumes, but obviously deeper, darker and way less girly than all their Viva La Juicy flankers. I don't think it's really that majestic or that it smells like a niche fragrance though. It smells like the easy to wear mainstream version of things like Lancôme Oud Bouquet, not exactly like it. Still radiant, but not quite as bombastic and room-filling, and also a little rougher on the edges. Even though it's a good scent, there is a lot of competition in this genre and I wouldn't pick it out of all the rose/oud/gourmand blends. I don't think it's worth the retail price of 130$ from Juicy Couture's official site, but I have seen it around the web for ~50€. At that price point it's a good option, especially for those who are just starting out with oud and woodsy fragrances and don't want to spend a fortune.

The first time I wore this I was in love. I sprayed myself about 3-4 times on a Tuesday afternoon to run an errand... a little goes a long way! While running my errand I could not stop sensing the great outdoors (think cold, mist and big red woods) and I couldn't determine if I smelled more femine or masculine but I felt confident and alluring. I loved it !! Then, I realized I was smelling something sweeter along with it that was giving it that alluring, femine touch (because majestic is woodsy, outdoorsy, and all masculine-edge). The coat I grabbed last minute was perfumed with La Vie Est Belle L'eclat and the pairing was perfection to my nose. The deception I felt was quickly dissipated with joy to have come across this pairing. It was the moment I realized that I like my gourmand/sweet perfumes layered with dry, woody, masculine scents. It was a serendipitous moment. All in all, this has become one of my favorite layering scents. It is a dry woody, and herbaceous scent that only requires help if you are looking for a feminine touch. An instant favorite and great all alone on cold weather days.

Wow ! This is different and quite complex for juicy couture! I’m going to need to try more of their scents now . I get a lot of sweaty, sweet amber, definitely woody notes, but on me it smells very strongly of leather , the dry middle notes are straight sweet leather . Then the dry down is the sweet musky vanilla . Super familiar, smells like cologne and a perfume mixed ......... IVE GOT IT !!!!! This smells exactly like TOM FORD OMBRÉ LEATHER MIXED WITH KAYALI VANILLA 28. The other reviews say they smell oud, maybe that’s what I’m smelling that I thought was leather , although it really strongly smells like leather to me , not really after the dry down though. Edit , the kayali royale sugared patchouli reminded me of this one a lot

This is SURPRISINGLY GOOD, especially for a Juicy fragrance. Almost all the ones I have tried by them are too sickly sweet and not my thing. But this one is a rich sweet woods + amber combination. Definitely get the fairy tale vibe they are trying to conjure. On me, this has almost an incense note, with praline and tonka adding a strong gourmand element. Glad there is no discernable patchouli here, as it's a staple for this brand and wood/amber fragrances in general. The one con is there is a hint of corrugated cardboard that is coming out. Maybe the ambroxan? Perfect for fall and winter, and unisex.

Unisex leaning slight masculine. Would be really steamy on a girl with the personality to pull it off. If you're into niche ,Majestic Woods has a touch of the rough and tumble you might expect from a house like Montale. If you're into designer, It`s like a buff, beefy version of Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon. Though not listed in the notes, I`m getting sweet Tabaco and something cozy like myrrh. Over all, I think this is good. As a frag head who applies frequently through out her perfume addicted day, I inadvertently (forgot) layered this over Beach Hut Woman. WOW...good.

Beautiful packaging, gorgeous heavy bottle. Upon first spray I instantly thought I have something that smells almost identical to this - V Canto’s Mandragola. This is less pungent but so strikingly similar to Mandragola. Both have that anamalic note that will take me some time getting used to. MW’s perhaps my ease in to Mandragola which I’ve only worn a couple of times because I find it rather challenging. I like it so far but I’m not sure I could call this fume an easy crowd pleaser.

I can see the comparison of this to Oud Bouquet by Lancome, but this is more airy sweet with a woody base and much less rose. I get a lot of oud on first sniff and it leans into the gourmand territory a bit, but not too much due to the wood notes. I see this as a day/night fragrance and one to wear in the cooler months - even into spring. Not sure it would do well in the heat of summer, but this is a nice blind buy for me. I can't wait to try it in the fall.

This fragrance takes me back to my childhood. I grew up in South Asia and we use a lot of amber, resin, sandalwood, oud and incense as parts of our culture (e.g., during prayer). This perfume has some ingredients from this list. I cannot identify what that is but it makes me nostalgic! People might think of it as a 'perfume' only, but for me it's my culture and childhood in a bottle :)

My least favorite of the three. Its not bad. It's just royal rose and glistening amber are goddess tier scents. Its a sweet woody fragrance. It reminds me of another scent that I can't currently place. I'd like it more if it was less weet and more woody but its still a nice scent that leaves me feeling like a forrest nympth bathed in syrup

This is actually pretty good, like surprisingly good for a Juicy Couture perfume. Unfortunately, I just don't wear it enough - there are a lot of perfumes in my collection and I always end up reaching for something else. If anyone wants a full bottle, I'm willing to sell or trade. Canada only please (only because shipping is expensive).

This is rather similar to YSL's Babycat,With the Vanilla toned down. It smells expensive, And definitely unisex. Lasting power is fantastic, Still on me after 12 hours. I love Juicy Couture, But even if you don't, You may love this fragrance, It's a big departure from the sweet fruity/floral scents they're known for.

This is the easily digestible version of oud bouquet. This is the charmander version of oud bouquet, if oud bouquet were charizard. They smell so similar, but I could pick them apart easily. It’s like if I just wore majestic woods and added opulence I would get oud bouquet. For the price, it also performs well!

The wood notes support the top and heart, instead of being highlighted. I do like this, but I don't find these woods majestic. UPDATE: These woods are majestic and now in my possession. Worth it at the discounted price of $36!

I like this one. Very unusual. The woods are like an expensive hand made cabinet and paper. The dry down soft comforting vanilla

Wow. Sooo, yeah, this is YSL Babycat, but with a feminine juiciness to it & less of the masculine leather/suede than Babycat has. To my nose, it’s got a definite Oud note. Not just woody, but specifically Oud. IMO, it most definitely has a leather/suede note as well & I’m amazed to not see that listed in the notes or accords. That’s the note I thought I smelled that made me think, “Oh! Babycat!”...but nope. Honestly, Babycat is too much for me. The strength, the strong leather vibe, & the eternal length of time it’s on me...I can’t do it. It’s also a little masculine leaning for me. Majestic Woods, otoh, is something that’s just juicy & feminine enough, that I can pull it off. HAS TO BE a cool/cold sweater-weather kind of day, tho. Good longevity, good silage, very wearable in the right circumstances.

I blind bought this hoping for a nice, woody fragrance for cold weather that wasn't too expensive. I must say, I'm struggling with this one. To my nose, it's quite harsh and very dry. I don't get any sweetness at all. The opening smells a bit like petrol to me, so I wasn't surprised to see another review that mentions motor oil. I will continue to wear this and see if it grows on me, but for now, I much prefer Maison Margiela By the Fireplace or Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude which are my favorite woody fragrances.

I don't care for it. It's not an evergreen type of woods, more like an enchanted Disney forest type of woods. It smells like Vanilla 28 to me, but a bit less sweet and more woodsy. I was hoping for something similar to Glistening Amber, but maybe more of an evergreen type of vibe, they both share a fairy vibe but this one doesn't resonate with me as well. Will likely give to a friend or sell, haven't decided.

At first, it definitely smelled similar to oud bouquet, but then it smelled like BabyCat. I agree that this is a less strong juicer version of Babycat, and also less vanilla than babycat. I do really like it because I love woody vanillas, and this has such a cute bottle and good price point. I also have Glistening Amber which I talked about in my “can’t wait to wear for fall video” check it out 😉

This stuff smells exactly like henna. I had my sister smell it on me and she said the same thing. Definitely not a safe blind buy. It's a very strong, woody, oriental fragrance--unisex in my opinion.

Sweet and woody in the same category of shaghaf oud and oud bouquet, not a dupe though, but something about this entire DNA through me off. Great longevity and sillage.

On me, this smells exactly like Casablanca by Swiss Arabian.

This was a no for me. I debated for months about whether to blind buy it as I was unable to test it anywhere. I finally bit the bullet and purchased it from a reputable seller. I almost wish I never read the reviews about the motor oil effect in the opening- because that is literally all I could smell. This is an incense, amber rich, almost smoky perfume with motor oil sweetness. After the top notes fade, this fragrance becomes much more tolerable but I have to say, it is NOTHING like Oud Bouquet. The latter is a journey into the interplay between vanilla, praline, rose and oud. It is lush, intoxicating and feminine. Majestic Woods is very unisex, long lasting and oriental. While this did not work out for me, I can appreciate its distinct character and understand why it's loved by many.

I buy it today...almost the strangest fragrance I’ve ever had. At first time I don’t like it at all. There’s nothing armatic or amber, it’s only wood, very wood . Like you’re in a forest after rain. Majestic woods smells like tree in the beginning , after few minutes there’s a little bit chocolate note but still smels like tree .Very strange like it doesn’t smells good, like it’s not a perfume . But there’s something beautiful about that. I’m very confused about that perfume, I think it’s not for everyone. Have to smell it before u buy it.

I'm not the biggest fan of this. I got a heavy hit of incense when I first sprayed it. NOT a gourmand tbh. It took about 2 hrs for it to relax and then it got "better" and the other notes like praline came in but not a whole much. Do not purchase this thinking it's a sweet woody perfume, it's heavily incense and oud. I see myself layering this with something else just as strong. It's long-lasting though, stayed on my body for about 6+ hrs.

Oh, bother! All I get is sweet, woody patchouli. WHY is patchouli not listed in the notes OR the description given here? The official description says, "...praline, mesmerizing patchouli and precious woods." I don't know if it's my chemistry or biology but patchouli smells like mildew and it has ruined this scent (and many others) for me. UGH. P.S. If anyone knows how to request a note be added to a fragrance, please message me.

I really wanted to love this but all I get is the oud its really strong and in your face. It smelled like I had been chopping wood all day or sitting with my head in a bonfire.The dry down was really nice but I couldnt take the smell of burning wood that i get with the intial spray so I had to return it. But if you like strong woody fragrances this one is for you.

I don't hate all perfumes that are woody scents, but I do struggle with some. Sadly, this happens to be one of them. It's just far too woody for me. I loved the Glistening Amber Juicy Couture scent, but this one just wasn't a like for me. If you love woody scents, this is nicely blended and expensive smelling. I was so hoping I'd love this one.

This is not my scent at all. Very strong oriental woody and spicy scent. Just suffocating. Very masculine. I like ordinary stuff from Juicy Couture much more.

The strong Oud kills it for me. Headache inducing fragrance.. UGH!

I applaud Juicy C. for branching out and going a new direction than their usual fruity sugar bomb. I out grew Juicy and was getting pretty bored with the previous releases until I saw these new line up lol 😂 dang it they hooked me back in! I ordered Majestic Wood, Glistening Amber and Royal Rose bc I just couldn't decide, these were my favorite notes. Majestic Wood: starts really strong with a mismatch of notes. I'm smack in the face with smoky woods, then plastic, burnt dark chocolate. It reminds me of, I hate to say it but...motor oil 😭 not a good blind buy. Among the 3 my fav. is Royal Rose it's more wearable and perfect for fall, next is Glistening Amber. These 2 smells so good.

Got a little 2mL decant from one of my FB fragrance groups a long while ago. Sprayed it every now and again to remind myself of what it smells like. So in a way it’s not memorable. The decant is almost empty so I might as well make a review. It reminds me of another fragrance, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. I know ambroxan is in practically everything now, and woods/amber/tonka bean is a pretty basic base. So it really could be anything. It smells, quite simply, like incredibly synthetic wood. It does not smell like natural, real wood in the slightest. I am not out in a forest, I am not outside a cabin chopping logs for a fire, I’m not even at Home Depot! I’m smack dab in the middle of a sterile perfume lab and there’s no denying the artificialness. It’s sharp. It tickles my nose enough to give it that almost-sneeze feeling. 🤧 I’ve never experienced that with any other fragrance except this one. I’m no Juicy Couture snob, I was born in ‘91, I totally have appreciation for the original bimbos of the 2000’s. The Majestic Collection just seemed (to me) to advertise itself as more sophisticated and of higher-quality ingredients with more mature scent profiles, in comparison to their world-renowned Viva La Juicy line. Perhaps a “grown n sexy” vibe, with a nod to the fragrances being unisex. I’ve only tried Glistening Woods so I can’t say all three fall short of my expectations, but this one does for sure. I can’t get over how fake and poorly-made it smells! The thing is it doesn’t smell cheap in the way we are most used to, as in getting a big blast of perfumer’s alcohol. Infact, in all my times of testing Glistening Woods, I can’t say I’ve ever smelled the alcohol. Points for that. And because of the (obviously) large amount of ambroxan, you need very little for the world to smell you. I’ll put it this way: Pit Glistening Woods against Bvlgari Tygar in a battle of performance and sillage—it would hold its own. Who knew this simple, rather unknown fragrance would be so ahead of its time? I might even go far enough to say that this was the prototype for JHAG Not a Perfume Superdose, an ambroxan and cedarwood bomb. Superdose is an okay scent, just depends on how you feel about the cedarwood. If you apply Glistening Woods *to your skin* (and less is more with this one!) about an hour before starting any plans where even one human can smell you, that worse-than-Montale level of syntheticness lessens significantly and (on me) I can finally detect some other notes. Sitting on my skin, within that first artificial hour, it seems like there is a vague fruit note tucked far far away, so far away Juicy Couture felt they didn’t need to mention it. Perhaps a dark berry or a sweet citrus. No biggie though, as it fades away once that hour is up. This is when I get a kind of variation on Baccarat Rouge 540. Don’t fret if you are over that scent profile though, this is different enough, and nobody would ever think you are wearing Baccarat. It’s just that ambroxan + sweet + woods + amber formula that gives me a related feel. Okay this review needs to end... ‘tis a tad bit lengthy! Is unisex but as a hetero cisgender woman, I personally would prefer to smell this on a masculine man around my age (in their 30’s). It does give nuances of the other notes but mostly this emits a vague woody scent. If you’re a gourmand lover like I am, don’t get this if you’re actually expecting to REALLY smell the praline and tonka bean. You will absolutely have to layer this with your sweet fragrance of choice if you want to give Glistening Woods a projecting yummy side. My mind immediately goes to other simple scents, such as Kayali Vanilla 28, Indult Tihota, Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla, even certain Bath & Body Works mists like Vanilla Bean Noel or Warm Vanilla Sugar. Or maybe layer with a truly sweet-woody fragrance on top, to blend together but get the ambroxan of Glistening Woods to extend longevity and improve projection. I can see Replica By the Fireplace being the perfect eau de toilette to test this theory with. But honestly, don’t be afraid to layer this with just about anything! From simple to complex to everything inbetween. Haha, as you can see, the longer I wear it, the more I like it, but I also see all the possibilities. I wonder if Juicy Couture seen this too when having the Majestic Collection formulated. Or if they really meant for the fragrances to stand on their own. Interesting thought to ponder.

I read about this fragrance and it intrigued me. I've found that my favourite fragrances fall into the spicy / woody / oriental categories, and this definitely occupies those genres. On the other hand it's Juicy Couture, which as we all know is a brand targeting young women, and I'm neither young nor a woman. The Regal Collection line (Majestic Wood, Glistening Amber, and Royal Rose) is however a departure from former releases, so I bought a decant. Yes, it's a sweet and soft fragrance that leans a bit to the feminine side — unless your point of reference is OUI or Viva La Juicy Sucre, in which case this could read as masculine. It is no sweeter than a number of fragrances I could name that are marketed as unisex or even male. I decided to buy a bottle. This is a quality fragrance with an addictive quality. It opens with a sweet almost candied wood note, supported by praline and amber, at the border of a gourmand. I feel it's more complex than the listed notes suggest. There is a hint of oud and I too detect the synthetic undertone some describe as burning plastic or motor oil. For some this synthetic note will be off-putting. Majestic woods is a warm and resinous fragrance with moderate projection drying down to a compelling skin scent. I have experimented layering it with masculine ouds and spicy woods and I've had good results, but I also enjoy it on its own. It does wear like an incense and oud oriental, which I attribute to the interaction of woods, amber, and ambroxan. Depending on how these accords are blended, they can go in a number of directions, which I suspect is why the reviews here reference myrrh and dark chocolate and smoke and a number of other phantom notes not listed. This fragrance is a good example of a simple note profile yielding an interesting, subtle, and complex result.

Straight up no chaser, this perfume is more men's than women's and that's the truth. I sprayed this perfume over 3 hours ago, and for the first hour this perfume is potent, just with two sprays it's hard for me to breathe. The ceder wood is smoky, like intense can be, the ceder wood gives off a leather smell like of sex, this perfume isn't bad, but isn't necessarily my cup of tea, don't get me wrong I love unisex perfumes, and leather like perfumes for instance Dark Rebel Rider by John Varvatos, this will be my first men's perfume review on Youtube. Even my boyfriend said " Majestic Woods " is men repellent to keep men away, I'm being serious too, you guys know if you have seen my Youtube reviews that I tell it how it is. In my Update video in early March, by notes, and not by the name " Majestic Woods " I thought this was another " Gold Couture " for Juicy Couture it's far from that, the complete opposite. I will say this I bought this perfume unboxed on ebay for $68.75 with shipping, and in my honest opinion this isn't worth the $130 retail, this perfume is currently only at Sephora online in The United States. I'm trying to give the best review possible that I can for everyone, because you deserve that from me. I don't want you to just spend this kind of money on a perfume, and blind buy it if you really won't like it. I do plan on getting the other perfume " Royal Rose " by the end of April so I will keep you updated, I'm just waiting for the right price on it.
