Viva La Juicy Luxe Pure Parfum

The opening is like a light Saturday morning breakfast, a sweet bowl of berries sprinkled with sugar with some slices of perfectly ripe clementines; its pretty, very likable, and yummy. The middle notes honeysuckle, jasmine and gardenia are fresh, friendly, not overwhelmingly floral, well balanced. After about 15 minutes, the vanilla caramel lightly cloaks everything, and amber warm things up nicely; its sweetness is soft and slightly powdery as well. Its not a heavy sweetness like some of the other VLJC fragrances I own, and this one performs better than the others since the perfume concentration is higher. After 6 hours it diminished some, but after 10 hours I can still smell this on my wrists and shoulders. On my skin, the projection is intimate, so IMO this would make a good option for an office fragrance; you wouldn’t be invading others' spaces with your fragrance, but you’d still be able to smell yourself throughout the entire day. The box and bottle are just gorgeous. VLJC Gold is still my #1 favorite though, it's sexier, sweeter and amber smokin' for date night baby! Rating: 9/10. First the bottle. It's really pretty in person. The rainbow ombre mercury glass finish doesn't look cheap. It's not elegant. But not tacky either. Mine has the gold bow. And if you like the special edition bottles you'll probably like this one too. For the fragrance, it's a slightly stronger version of the EDP. I smell the caramel note a bit more strongly, and the whole blend seems like it's slightly amplified. But most definitely still Viva la Juicy. Longevity for this "parfum" formula is a little bit better than the EDP. But don't expect anything dramatic. The difference is very subtle. I believe these special parfum editions are really just released in special packaging for gift giving and collecting purposes. The difference in formula is minor, and doesn't seem like a true parfum.

The thing I DONT like about viva la juicy. It’s so sick sweet sometimes. Almost to the point it’s hard to wear. So I went with the Noir version. It was darker. Sexy and easier to wear. This Intense EDP of Viva is different than Noir but it is so soft and heavy at the same time. Soft for the nose. But layers on heavy when on clothing. It lasts forever. I get lots of compliments. People recognize the fragrance and I feel like it’s overall prettier than just plain old viva la juicy. Plus. Yes the bottle is gorgeous and wonderful for a collector.

I think whether or not this lasts really depends on temperature and your skin ph. This is very strong on me right now. I just got it today. 2 sprays on wrist and after 4 hours I’m still getting moderate 2-3 ft sillage. I don’t think this is common. think it’s related to my skin. I did not expect to like this but I’m really enjoying it right now. It’s somehow more smooth to my nose than the EDP.

This is taking me right back to a Fun House where Pop Corn and a warm summer breeze filled with the smell of creamy caramel sugary fairy floss is wafting through the air.(when life was Easy & Good) .. whilst licking my fingers as you do when you get that buttery popcorn The hero’s in this scent are the caramel and the gardenia .. they have used a much higher concentration of Gardenia in this to achieve that buttery salty creamy smoothness and the sweetness from the Carmel to transition not only Chronologically from Juicy Couture Noir which also has the Gardenia to move into this version ... Compliments. 8/10 Likeability 7/10 3rd best Gold is number 1 ... bc it’s sweeter ... if that is what put you off the scent then This will be your number one but ... be Warned it is the most expensive of the Lot !!

The start is very fresh and clean. None of the notes particularly stands out. If I concentrate on the scent I think I feel jasmine and mandarin with a wild berries background. It is not a warm scent, thus I think it will be perfect for spring, not that it is unwearable during autumn. It feels quite universal but from the fresh tribe. It lasts better than Viva la Juicy Gold Couture that I was wearing yesterday, but not by much. Once it evolves it turns into a bubble bath effect, as such it reminds me of Ghost Moonlight and Ghost Orb of Night. Also similar, after 2 hours of wear, is Viva La Juicy Gold Couture, and possibly also the classic since the notes match. After 4 hours the scent is barely there, with hints of jasmine and sandalwood, possibly honeysuckle, too. I feel close to nothing even with my nose to my wrist. My Juicy Coutures are one of the weakest parfums of mine, to my surprise after a loud start.

Smells fresh sweet and fruity. Not very sweet though. A very clean out of the shower summery scent. It reminds me of some Escada summer edition perfumes. The packaging is super cute as well. It leaves a very noticeable trail if u spray enough (about 4 sprays). It doesn't smell expensive (if that's what you like), but still a nice summery day fragrance.

As a collector the display of this perfume is top notch..extremely beautiful in person..way prettier than I thought and the box is just as pretty...it's a glossy ombre rainbow and my bow is gold with polka dots and with trinkets of a disco ball and a J on it. The box has a multi-layered affect going on on the inside that is gorgeous when you open it.. Now as for the scent..when I first opened the box I immediately smelled a soapy note..I don't know if this is musk or what i think it is..it's the same note I smelled in Mugler's Aura..so immediately this was a challenge for me to my surprise at first..I was almost afraid that I wouldn't like it but I decided to sit it out for the dry down...the dry down is nice.. you can smell all the mixed berries first and the caramel and praline..this is not fresh citrus like the original has on the top notes.. this has been smoothed out because of the musk in order for this to last longer and this is a pretty strong fragrance..it's not going away quickly..it's staying..as it continues to dry down you can smell it morphing a bit to a creamier vanilla and the fruits are calming down...I definitely smell a bit of the original Viva La Juicy, a bit of Katy Perry's Meow and Purr and definitely a very close resemblance to Katy Perry's Royal Revolution..this last for about 6 1/2-7 hours where you sense it but fading out around the 6 hour mark but on clothes much longer..I still smell it on my clothes 12 hours later slightly. Update: I have adapted to musky scents and now this and the lotion smells amazing and while I do smell the musks it's like my nose sees past it and all I get is all the other notes..so this is fruity juicy sweet and with the lotion on the dry down this gets a bit creamy. I really do like this one now a lot and recommend it if you love Viva La Juicy. I'm so happy I can handle musks and I feel if I do get Viva La Juicy I'm going to stick with the pure parfums because they do last a long time, above average.

Ok, I just received my bottle along with the lotion from HSN. I paid 80$ total including shipping and handling and chose the flex pay of five payments of $15.80. The packaging and bottle are beautiful and the bottle says pure parfum, not eau de parfum. It's slightly stronger but I believe Viva La Juicy is just one of those scents that are hard to smell on yourself. When I wore the original Viva La Juicy I felt that the longevity was poor but I would always receive several compliments. I highly recommend this one if you can find it at the right price.

OMG! What else Juicy Couture is going to think for such a world winning award perfume and not only according to me, but most of you too, masterpiece? From time to time they release a 'special edition' of pure perfume from Viva la juicy EDP but this one lost the golden touch and it's a bit..kitsch...
