Fugit Amor

Fugit Amor is a sensual mix of spices with carnation—mixed with a little soap (emphasis on little). I mostly pick up woods and spices, the carnation feels subtly blended, either that, or it’s coming off as one of the spice notes—and it works. I really enjoy wearing this on the last day of summer. This is a soft, comforting, unisex scent, feeling much like a mountain spa at an upscale resort. Projection is low, but I often find I want that over a big diva scent with massive trail. Fugit Amor is classy. And beautiful. And I wish I could add it to my collection, but I can’t buy everything I want.

Tested it on paper. If like me you stop by flowershops to smell carnations, this is a very good fragrance. However, passed the initial wow-effect, it is not perfect: there is a green almost hemlock-smelling component to it, and the next day the left-over is a bit acrid sunscreen smell reminiscent to me of aldehydes.

I had tears in my eyes when I first smelled this on my skin, it's exactly how I have always wanted to smell - spicy, warm, slightly powdery yet complex. It immediately made me feel nostalgic for something from my childhood that I couldn't and still can't put a finger on. I think this may be my signature scent...

It's my second fragrance from Jul et Mad, after Stilettos on Lex and I'm not disappointed. Definitely unisex, maybe even a bit on the masculine side. To my nose this is a mix of exotic spices, carnation and incense, though not listed in the olfactory pyramid. It has a cooling effect on me, strangely enough, despite all of its "warm" notes. There's also an expensive aftershave quality to this scent. I think it works better in warmer weather if you're a woman, and if you're a man- try it in winter. Warmer weather makes it softer and emphasizes the amber note, while a colder temperature enhances its masculine, cold-spicy notes. Lasts about 6 hours on skin and sillage is excellent in the first two hours, then it settles closer to skin, without becoming a shy skin-scent though.

A gently spiced bubble bath of carnation. It opens in a fluffy and cooling cloud of cardamom and elemi, underlaid with a clean, slightly soapy musk that supports the whole fragrance. Then the carnation blooms, and it's absolutely gorgeous. Finally, a pale amber that's scarcely more than a skin scent reveals itself, carrying the harmonics of the earlier notes well into the next day if you let it. Fugit Amor is subtle, luxurious and quite unique. It doesn't project very far, but it lasts and lasts, evolving beautifully on the skin. I find this fragrance incredibly soothing, and the carnation note is really lovely. This is wonderful. My only concern is that I'm not well dressed enough to smell this good!

If you like carnation then this is the scent for you. Not my cup of rea but I was so impressed with it's intensity and longevity (well over twelve hours) that it has made me want to check out some of the other perfumes from this house asap

The carnation leads this subtle scent, followed by the cardamon. It’s a unobtrusive scent that can be easily worn. The deal-breaker is whether you love or hate carnation. It becomes a skin scent far too quickly on me and doesn’t last.

This smelled like Red Hots and not in a good way. I like chewing cinnamon gum sometimes but I certainly don't want to walk around smelling like it!

Fugit Amor Jul et Mad Paris (Store test) First meet My love for carnation leads me to this. Fugit Amor is very beautiful scent. It is breezy wind now in Bangkok, Thailand And the scent hits my nose in graceful manner. Balmy, so balmy and abstract Mere glimpse to think of anything yet substantial in very beautiful way. I totally agree here with someone review below that this smells so close to PalmOlive liquid soap. My favorite soap from the younger day. I also think of the hotel lobby for a second. Before it is transit to beautiful scent of big floral. Very large. Carnation here is slowly unfold. For another second makes me think of Musc Outerblanc from Guerlain, in the way that scent radiates from the body. Enigmatic yet balmy in the same time. Sergey, I am sorry. I always respect and faithful a beautifully proper constructure of your article but I just have had chance to try Dianthus by Etro. While the both Carnation centric. It does not perform the same as Etro is more identifiable. Well, a perfect work from jarquis flori. It performs more like Jo Malone manner. I will sit here enjoying this for now. ===== Extension 1 on 18:45 hrs. (Same day) I am sitting here near the shop. I sit in front of convenience store where I enjoy my cup of yogurt and Dango (Japanese sticky riceball as dessert) I sudden realize that audience of Ju Et Mad.. might not even on Fragantica. I’m think of a girl wearing a red armani dress for an event. Sitting on the limousine to attend event. A true Tom Ford scent for a Tom Ford audiance. Not a glimpse to Tom Ford as we are enjoying his fragrance under Estee Lauder, this can provide cleanliness soapy feel for really long time. This is just not my scent, an ordinary life people run 9-to-5 enjoy the normal life. We want something to feel special. I will stick with my royal friend. Olliette in more perfumery manner (Purple Carnation, Dianthus and Olliette Louise XV from Oriza) which my kind to life scent. Still perfumery, still something special. However, Fugit Amor gives me understanding how I should feel when I wear the fragrance. The one that evokes the fabulous yet so conformtable feeling similar to Fugit Amor. I think I will be heading home now. And remove some more fragrance that I doesn’t gives this feeling like Fugit Amor. Sure, I will revisit you as much as I could but I don’t think I will actually wear you. It’s time to go home...

أحقا يمكن أن يفر منا الحب ويولي هاربا؟ أم نحن حقيقة من يقوم بهذا الانسحاب والفرار؟ أنا أؤمن أننا جميعا في هذه الحياة ندور في فلك ما نحب وما نكره، وأحيانا ما تكون بين ما نحب، وما نفر من حبه. فالحب هو جوهر هذه الحياة كلها، وهو مكنون الإيمان بالله تعالي وبرسله وبالرسالات السماوية وبالأديان وبكل ما نعتقده في هذه الحياة، بل وبما وراء هذه الحياة أيضا من وجود أبقى وأنقى. دعونا ندخل إلى زجاجة عطرنا ونحاول أن نتفهم ماذا وضع ستيفان بداخلها.. البداية مزيج تابلي حلو ومبهج فالمزيج الحار المكون من "القرفة - الهيل - الزنجبيل الطازج - راتينج إيليمي" قد أطفأه الفلفل الأحمر الحلو بجدارة وامتياز. وسأكررها دائما.. إذا رأيت الفلفل الأحمر في المقدمة فاعلم أنك أمام عطر سيدخل البهجة إلى نفسك القلب قد انفردت به زهرة القرنفل. فالعطر بهذا الشكل كلاسيكي بامتياز ولو صح أن يكون لمزيج هذا العطر من اسمه نصيب فسيكون اسم هذا الهارب الذي ستمسكه الأنوف المدربة بسهولة هو العنبر الحيواني الذي تمتزج فيه القوة والحرارة برائحة أمواج البحار المحيطات لكنني أراه هنا ولأول مرة مقيدا بنوتة جورماندية حسية بالغة الجمال من العنبر النباتي والمسك البودري. الفيتيفير وأخشاب السيدار بلا وجود حقيقي. العطر كريمي حسي للغاية يكاد يلامس شيئا بداخلي في الختام.. أكاد أكتب مكونا كنت أتمناه أن يكون حاضرا داخل أروقة هذه الزجاجة الرائعة لولا أن أمسكت بأناملي هذه الكلمات: "إذا كنت تبحث عن الكمال، فأنت لا تبحث عن الحب، لأنّ معجزة الحب تكمن في عشق العيوب"، فأحسنت بمنعها من أن تعكر صفو هذا الجمال..

A gorgeous fougèrey fragrance highlighting the diverse facets of carnation. Opens with a citrusy powdery herbal aromatic accord prior to the spices really hitting, reads very fougère to me. Then spicy balsamic rooty/nutty facets slide in, followed by strong sustained floral heart (also fougèrey). The base is woody vetivery with subtle balsamic amber continuing, supported by fuzzy velvety musk. The fuzz & wood & vetiver combine to create a mossy accord, again suggesting fougère. This is very interesting & enjoyable, and I love carnation.

Carnations elemi. Soapy yet spicy fragrance with musk, carnation, elemi, amber, pink pepper, & soap. There is no trace of cinnamon, cardamom, or ginger, and I slightly can detect some clean vetiver. It reminds me of 90s clean yet masculine labeled fragrances as it gives the vibes of modern 90s somehow. Not much superb but a fine creation.

Classy, sensual, creamy sweet-spicy fragrance! The opening sweet warm spices, a lovely blend of pink pepper, cinnamon, and elemi, then carnation shows up, and later a gourmand-ish amber occupies the field! this is the journey that this fragrance takes me along with, beside touches of ginger, really impressed.

This smells very similar to Palmolive's Lavender& Ylang ylang shower gel (which had nothing to do with lavender or ylang whatsoever:)) It's a very nice blend of spices, perfectly mixed together. A little soapy, very calm, relaxing and cool. Cardamom and elemi are most prominent to my nose. Soft sillage.

Beautiful scent. Opens up spicy to me and then settles to the most sensual and comforting scent. Reminds me of hot rocks on a very warm day. Projection is quite weak indeed but I honestly don't mind. Unisex for sure. Underrated scent from an underrated house.

This smells like marble and carnations. Cold, but somehow soft. Not inviting, but unique and hypnotising. There’s something aldehydic about it. I don’t know yet if I’d want to smell like this, but I keep coming back to the strip over and over again. Just wow.
