Histoire d’Amour 2.0

Gorgeous scent, surprisingly unisex, and much easier to wear than you might expect given the notes. The main notes are really mango, smoky-but-clean natural oud, and vanilla absolute, with everything else as mild accents. But it all fuses together into a single central accord that feels tangy, lightly sweet, woody, and fruity. I think of it as a "medium gourmand" - nothing cloying or heavy, no praline or candyfloss, just a gentle mix of bright fruit, smooth vanilla, and some smoky depth from the natural oud. Performance is moderate - good longevity but it sticks close to the skin. It feels vibrant, naturalistic, and fun to wear. As a guy, I don't mind more bombastic fruity gourmands like Vulcan Feu (or God of Fire), but this is even easier to wear and more my speed..

This is such a beautiful, modern, bright and energetic scent, while being warm and sensual at the same time. The scent of mango is prominent here, but I can smell the whipped cream note absolutely and the woody notes as well. It has just the right amount of projection. It is noticable for people around me, but it isn’t too strong. It is truly beautiful and to me it seems like a perfect autumn woody fruity scent.

Delicious candied fruits with smoked resins. It’s a little bubblegummy in the background (not a bad thing) and at a distance you get some nice churchy smoked resins. Feels like an upscale mainstream unisex gourmand but with that edge in niche amber fragrances like Chergui, Ambre Nuit, etc. It has that candy vibe in Frapin 1270 Extreme and Blond Amber without the tobacco. I get a lot more strawberry and fair hard candy than mango and I’m not mad about it bc that’s what I was expecting. 100% unisex. I’m going to be checking out more from this house.
