Ego Stratis

Immediately I’m hit with the same masculine notes that most people detect upon application. It’s a heavy, and overall pleasing combination of Calone, Lemon and Bergamot. Very refreshing and masculine! Then follows the heart notes with a distinct, noticeable and elegantly well rounded soft blueberry. As for the neroli, it follows the scent from the beginning towards the dry down. The heart notes balances out the top notes and succeeds in pulling this fragrance towards something more feminine. At the end of the experience is a soft and intimate skin scent combined of Ambroxan and the ever so persistent blueberry note. I’d definitely rate this perfume as true to its convictions. It’s neither overly masculine nor feminine in my opinion. That being said it’s easier to pull this off as a man than vice versa imho. The top notes are so masculine that it kinda pushes this fragrance towards something quite unisex/ masculine. That being said if you’re a woman I’ll advise you to suffer through the opening which only lasts about 5 minutes anyways. After that it’s more of a unisex/ feminine perfume and quite enjoyable at that. The scent is moderate in projection and longevity making it last for about 4-6 hours. Value for money: ok Scent: intoxicating and delightful! Definitely blind buy worthy if you enjoy blueberry. Only complaint I have is that I bought a sample when I should’ve bought a 100ml.

At first, i figured this was a masculine leaning scent just like everyone else. It wasn’t until I actually tested it on my skin that everything changed. For starters, the opening definitely still smelled like your typical aquatic scent. But then, the magic is in the dry down. So, you have to be patient to see the beauty in this scent. Fortunately, I can be very patient. It turned into a subtly sweet almost warm scent. It was unrecognizable from the opening. I tossed my testing strip to the side and revisited it a few days later and the scent was still really strong on the strip and it was a little warmer but not nearly as warm as it was on my skin. I can only get a hint of the blueberry and the ambroxan is smooth like it is in Not A Perfume. It’s also super long lasting. I spray it on my skin in the morning and I still smell it at the end of the day. The scent trail is a soft but present. I think this one is getting hate bc it’s not explored as much. I generally like JHAG scents because they’re uplifting and this one is no different.

Picked this up as a sample alongside Ode to Dullness and Ex Vetiver and this one is by far the best. Ego Stratis is completely unisex and can be worn by anyone, it is my most complimented fragrance to date. The strongest notes are the bergamot and ambroxan which combine with the rest to form a great fresh scent. This is an easy spray that is great for summer and during the day, carries the JHAG tradition of being more of a skin scent rather than having a projection which makes it amazing as a quick reach to stay fresh without worrying about gassing out a room. Ego Stratis can be worn anywhere and with multiple sprays each you can achieve projection that others will notice without being nuked. So far one of my favourite fragrances in my collection and can definitely appreciate the great pricing in AU. 9/10 - Fresh summer scent (Pick up a sample off of fragrance net before a full bottle to test - not a safe blind buy)

The opening of this cologne smells like Cool Water by Davidoff and while you want a cologne as expensive as this to smell completely its own it does dry down to be fruitier and deeper. This is a very nostalgic scent. It lasts longer than cool water and is generally more pleasant cause it doesn’t only have the powdery chemical scent. To me it smells like everything good from the early 2000s. Like Little Big Planet. Domo. Lollipop Chainsaw. Dexter. Zombie Games. Borderlands. Little bit of 90s Radiohead. Happy Rainy Days. I absolutely love this cologne. It’s my second favorite of their scents (first being lust for sun). It leans more masculine but i love wearing this as someone who is typically more feminine.

Interesting... This smells sooo much like a Zarkoperfume scent. I'm not sure which one, but I think quantum molecule. To be fair though, this is smoother and less sharp, which I prefer. To me this smells very synthetic, a typical "molecule scent". I don't mind that, especially with perfumes that lack sweetness. I find the base more woody than the votes imply. Blueberries are watery, synthetic, weirdly non-sweet and fleeting, just like the raspberries in lipstick on. The berry note is not uncomfortable, but a little other-worldly. Update: this is such an easy reach for me. Never feels wrong or annoying. It might not be the most interesting scent, but its a darn good one.

I’m going to start by saying I love aquatic fragrances. At first spray this did feel more masculine, however after about 20 minutes I picked up the blueberry note and that made it a little softer to me. I LOVE this scent. It lasts about 6 hours on me before it turns into a skin scent. I’m not one to get a lot of compliments on my fragrances... but when I wear this one to work, my coworkers love it! I’ve even had a few ask to wear it themselves. It’s got a clean/crisp feel, but that blueberry note adds something special to it! I don’t know why more people are not talking about how nice this is! It’s an easy grab for spring/summer. A good one for work and daytime.

I really love this scent. It reminds me of a sharper, slightly more refined version of Coach for Men—which I already enjoy. There’s a touch more spice at the opening, but as it dries down, it softens into something fruity, aquatic, and smooth. I’d say it strikes a nice balance: bold, yet inoffensive. You could find either fragrance at a similar price point, though JHAG might run a bit higher. Honestly, if you blindfolded me, I’m not sure I’d be able to tell them apart. It leans more masculine than unisex, but I love a well-done masculine scent. Wearing it feels like slipping on your boyfriend’s hoodie—comforting, familiar, and just a little sexy.

I wear this fragrance as a woman and I don’t get the hate. It is so luxurious-smelling and makes me feel like I’ve just been to the spa. It’s a bit salty and aromatic without being sweet, which is rare in women’s perfume. I love Wood Sage & Sea Salt and to me Ego Stratis is like a more casual variation of it that uses the freshness of citrus and light fruitiness rather than wood. Very refreshing and makes me feel professional and put together, especially for office days.

Fantastic fragrance long lasting great sillage fruity aquatic that smells expensive.The best way I can describe this is an aquatic version of YSL Y EDP that smells slightly more natural.May sound boring but honestly this is truly one of the best Blue fragrances on a niche level.The fact you can get this for under 60 GBP and it's a niche scent is fantastic.

Very soft acuatic with beautiful fluffy musk! Love it. However it reminds me Juliette's magnolia without magnolia note or Pear Inc without a pear :) :) :) ah-haaaa ! I dont feel Neroli, peach gives a hint of sweetness. It is good for someone who doesnt like loud notes, perfect unisex perfume !

Suuuuch a cool scent. Reminds me of a 80's beach house that has that futuristic style. Smells almost digital on me. It's definitely unisex, but I'd say it's a true unisex. Doesn't really lean either way.

I have this. First it reminded me of light blue bij d&g. Its fresh, but fruity. Instant giving me mature clean, salty beach vibes. Love this one! Also i can smell it after 8+ hours

Love this scent. On my skin, it evolves into something soft, that resembles tropical nights spent in an exotic place. On me, it lasts 48 hours, an absolute record till now!

Reminded me instantly of Cool Water, I find this a cool girl scent:) I enjoy it so much, its also like a woman version of Bvlgari's light blue perfume

Category: Aquatic, floral, fruity, musky (clean) Notes: Sprays on a soft lemon, clean musk and sea water. I’m also getting a very distinct jasmine even though that isn’t listed as one of the notes. Honestly incredibly similar to Acqua di Gioia, perhaps a bit sweeter and a little more fruity as time goes on from that blueberry note. The overall scent impression is a soft, almost a bit powdery, sweet and clean fantasy blueberry with musk, white florals and gentle citruses in supporting roles. Vibe: Blueberry ramune. Lagoon. Creek water. Purplish blue. Milk. Rollerskates. Water polo. Pool party. Hard lemonade or fruit punch. White glitter. Temporary tattoos. Chalk paintings on asphalt. Seashell collection. Sillage: 5/10. On the more intimate side. With enough sprays this would probably project quite nicely and maybe even leave a pleasant scent trail. Longevity: 6.5/10. Less than stellar performance in terms of longevity, at least for the price point. Will definitely last you at least 5 hours but beyond that point is practically a skin scent, if even that. Wear: Daytime. Fantastic spring and summer frag. Office wear approved, very inoffensive and fresh, not too loud. I expected it to be more masculine partially because of the note pyramid, but also because of the bottle design - something about the cool blue and cold silver reads as mechanical and aloof, something I guess I associate with masculinity. That being said, it definitely leans quite feminine on me. A man can absolutely wear this no issue, but the florals take it in a more feminine direction. Don’t judge a fragrance off of its bottle, I guess lol. I find the fragrance to be quite youthful, but not juvenile by any means. Ideal age range is probably somewhere between 18-30, but certainly wouldn't feel off on anyone outside of that age range as long as they have a youthful aura. Overall rating: 7/10. Clean, sweet and refreshing. Something about this is so youthful and uplifting, it's a very soft and clean scent without veering too far in the direction of shower fresh or cleaning products. As mentioned before it is very similar to Giorgio Armani’s Acqua di Gioia, but much softer and heavier on the fruitiness and sweetness. Where Acqua di Gioia is more elegant, this is more cute. I could totally see myself wearing this as a go-to everyday scent during the summer months as it feels like something that's easy to reach for and likely a crowd-pleaser. Another well done staple. Who would wear it?: Kaya Scodelario.

I bought the full size new without box from eBay for under $50. Very pleased with this purchase. The fragrance is really fresh and sparkles with citrus and that fresh sea air from the calone note. It wears quite well with the citus powering up even into the third hour of wear. I don't get a ton of blueberry, but since I'm looking for it, I can sense some fruity sweetness for sure, but the aquatic notes dominate. I can see the classic cologne structure that resembles oldies but goodies like 4711 playing out in this fragrance for sure. This was just what I wanted today, a beautiful fresh airy aquatic break from the more cloying sugary sweet winter scents that I've been wearing. Great addition to any collection, and unisex for sure.

Got a 5ml sampler of this. I'm still figuring it out. I love masculine aquatic colognes and I honestly don't mind if they're a bit synthetic, I think there's something a bit nostalgic for me about sea water or calone-heavy scents like Acqua di Gio or CK One Summer 2009 and 2012 because I wore and loved them so much. So I think this pulls on something very specific in my brain that might make me a bit less than impartial. Ambroxan, which sits at the heart of every JHAG perfume, either plays well with your chemistry or it doesn't. I'm one of those for whom it works quite lovely, so all of their perfumes dry down to a warm, woody heart note that feels clean. On me, this settles to a quite masculine, marine scent that unfortunately does not last more than a few hours. I wish it had a longer longevity because I quite like it, but I can see why a lot of men might not-- it does skew a bit "teen boy." I disagree with those saying that it skews feminine, I think it is a masculine-leaning youthful unisex. I personally don't get the blueberry at all.

Clean, fresh aquatic and fruity nothing amazing, it is unisex but I would say it leans more masculine. It lasts around 6hrs projects for 1hr. Just a different choice for an aquatic with a tinge of softness. Not a bad scent but it has that JHAG style of synthetics. It’s a daily it won’t bother you unless you have a very sensitive nose. Overall not bad if you pay $60 or less, something to wear other than Dylan blue, BDC, ADG profondo. 6/10

This smells like a clothing store for teenage girls. And it would be good marketing, because somehow I want to keep smelling it. I quite like ambroxan. It hints at the ocean, but is too cosy and sweet to really put you on a beach. It's more like the blanket on the couch of a villa with an ocean view. I can see how this would be very attractive to many -young- people. After a certain age, it's just too sweet.

I love the smell of this on the sample papers, but for some reason (and I have had this problem with other JHAG fragrances), it creates a grim vomit and melon smell when mixed with my skin chemistry. It loses its sharpness and starts to smell too sweet and melony and a bit like sick :( Still smells lovely on clothes, I just have to avoid putting it on skin! Good thing I only got a sample.

I am surprised at the dislike for this perfume. Ego Stratis is a light, fresh but not soapy everyday perfume. Perfectly unisex and suitable for any occasion. Most perfumes with a marine and/or sea accord give me an instant headache but not this one. In fact none of the offerings from JHAG have given me even the slightest headache. Definitely worth sampling.

Very musky, smells floral despite the lack of floral notes. The blueberry is prominent at times but seems to fade in and out. It's a good fragrance for all seasons; I'm wearing it right now in winter and it's just dark enough to feel appropriate for the weather. It leans feminine in my opinion, and I think it would be ideal for nightime wear.

I am testing this in winter so I will revisit this in summer but I want to comment on the unisex nature. It's totally unisex. To the point that it didn't have a defined sex smell. I'm excited for the summer to experience the blueberry note as in winter, it's muted. But it is aquatic and high quality. The atomiser is decent.

Straight out of the bottle it’s very citrus forward. The blueberry and musk tamp it down nicely so that it isn’t overly feminine in my opinion. I like it just fine but can’t see myself wearing it outside of going to the office. It’s bright, clean and a little bit boring.

Basically a softer more palatable version of Invictus. Whether you think that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you. Leans more masculine I would say but for sure can sense some femininity in it. Worthy of a 7.5ml purchase, maybe a 50ml.

I like it, but it gives me a headache :( Very musky cologne scent. I’m getting the exact same kind of blueberry & musk that I get from Skylar’s “Indigo Valley”. It is masculine leaning, reminds me of colognes my father used to wear.

Men can wear this, no problem. I do get the similarities to Y EDT. So if you already have Y, you could probably do without this one, but it is nice and cheaper than Y. Very pleasant smell, and I got good performance out of it.

To my nose this is very similar to Pacific Rock Moss. If you like that, you might like this!

I’m afraid I too must add myself to the part of the chorus that find this to be a pretty generic scent. For me too it’s an immediate reminder of Davidoffs old Cool Water (the female version the most but the DNA of also the male version can be detected in it). Therefore in a way I find this to be a very typical 90’ scent which of course send nostalgic vibes my way who was there. But also of why I actually lost some of my fragrance interest back in those days for a while as these types of strong-ish fragrances could be smelled on virtually everybody and a room or a club or a lecture hall or a workplace or the subway could be totally filled up with a cloying mishmash of headache inducing complex perfumes, whom each of them alone could be ok but all put together probably made up the very reason behind fragrances becoming a four letter word in many of the during the time developing open work place environments...? This is not a bad scent. It just represents to me a very typical and generic scent with a DNA that in no way to me either feels particularly new or fresh. It definitely contains all the main accords mentioned above, which also is part of its problem to me as that mixture of so many strong accords put together very easily translates to cheap shower gels for me, and apparently for many others too judging from other reviews here. And it does therefore not feel like a typical niche fragrance either - despite its promised interesting but sadly for me mostly undetectable notes such as blueberry, calone or even ambroxan, which usually at least stands out when used. I get no blueberry note from this! (If anyone like me were looking at this because of that rather unusual and would be intriguing note...) I so wish I did though...I can’t even really find the ambroxan in this even though that usually is such a strong identity note for this house. I can’t say I know what calone would smell like but if it’s in there I can’t find it or single it out... What I do get is a very integrated rather linear but complex 90’s designer-like scent with a top of light typically male cologne vibes of citrus with a body of an also typical male vibe of aquatic mixed with rather synthetic but feminine flowers and fruits in the middle and a bottom of some cedar wood an plenty of musk, the body shop kind... I do not own Davidoff cool water anymore but this must be pretty much bang on that... So as far as unisex go, this is definitely it. It has pretty strong projection just like most scents from the old 90’s and you will definitely be able to detect this when entering a room. Longevity is pretty strong too. On me it lasts for 10-12 hours plus, (but most scents stick fairly well to my skin so it might fade faster on some?). Given its scent profile I would actually have preferred if this was a little bit more discreet though. But for those who look for projection and longevity first this has enough if it. As I personally really wanted to find the blueberry note in this, I found out this was not a safe blind buy. And I even though I should perhaps have been able to guess pretty well what this perfume would be like just from the list of main accords, my hope for blueberry was stronger. So if that is what interests you too with this perfume - make sure you get to try it out before you buy, But if you are a nostalgic and love everything 90’s, then this is pretty much bang on that whole vibe! ❣️

Ego Straits opens with a gentle citrus caress, a nicely mild breeze spiked with fruity calone and that airy synthetic coolness reminiscent of a seaside morning. Light, refreshing, the opening's brief flirtation with zest and a whisper of ocean spray is really quite the pleasant one. But then the script flips. The sweetness swells a little, then a lot overreaching into a sugary musky haze, oddly interlaced with a salty tang. And lurking beneath, its ambroxan base, rich and almost too assertive anchors it in a way that’s both comfortingly warm and frustratingly cloying. The result is scent that tries to straddle freshness and indulgence, but ends up interesting, yet ultimately unconvincing.

Just got this today and I get a lot of the blueberry in the opening with not much citrus. I still found it unisex and pleasant. The immediate dry-down to my nose is a powdery floral bomb. I'm surprised Hyacinth isn't listed. I thought it was slightly leaning masculine at the start but does an entire 180 in about 5 minutes. Not pleasant for me to wear as I find it to feminine now, but I'm hoping against all odds this changes with time. EDIT It did change and is now more balanced. I still find it leaning slightly feminine though, but I layered it with dylan blue today (hooray for chemical warfare) and quite like the combo so I guess ill be using it after all!

i wanted to love or at least like this, but i just can't. don't get me wrong, it's perfectly acceptable and decent but it is SO generic. not every perfume needs to be groundbreaking or try something different, sure, but it's completely indistinguishable from all of its other citrusy aquatic ilk beyond the fact that it has a worse performance and is more expensive. if you've somehow never tried a fragrance like that i could imagine being impressed, but why bother when you could get light blue / ck one / cool water / pour homme versace / etc. instead? overall rating: 🩷🩷💔🖤🖤 2.5/5

Very clean, light aquatic and a lot of citrus. Neroli and cedar i also definitely get. A simple blue fragrance.Synthetic. Nothing special at all. But sometimes that's all you want, and all you need. For work or every day tasks. Score: 6/10.

Got a sample of this and I immediately thought of Davidoff Cool Water for women and D&G light blue. It’s very androgynous leaning towards male and I would say sporty. Could imagine this being a shower gel for men.

It's a bit hard to discribe this one, I think it can be worn well by both male/female, very light office perfume. Very fresh, and fine if you don't want to overpower the room. Very much for spring.

smells like an old can of shaving cream you found in the wooden cabinet of the beach house you're renting

Ooof this is a scrubber on my skin. I hate it! There’s a note in here that it’s both extremely screechy and synthetic and it’s so penetrant I can’t get it out of my nose. It’s one of the citrus notes, probably the bergamot, but I’m pretty sure It’sa synthetic bergamot, because I love natural citrus notes in other perfumes. It could be the calone too, or the combination of calone and citrus.. I’m not sure, but I’m any case it’s bad, really really bad. This fragrance is somewhat similar to Davidoff Cool Water for men (which I also own). Cool water is somewhat sweeter though.. The opening is somewhat similar of Light Blue intense too, as if it was layered over cool water and a lot more screechy. I have an older (pre reformulation) bottle of Cool Water, and that version I love on men, however if I wear it myself I get a really screechy note in that one as well and I think it’s the same as the one in Ego Stratis. After a while the screechiness in this subsides (where it only gets stronger in Cool water), and the fragrance sweetens up a little. Unfortunately that doesn’t really make it better. Somehow the type of sweetness makes it even more masculine. I don’t mind masculine fragrances and often wear them, but blue and aquatic fragrances are hard to pull off as a woman. In this Case it really doesn’t work on my skin. I really dislike how synthetic this smells too. Synthetic doesn’t necessarily have to be bad, but in this case it just doesn’t work for me. It’s too overwhelmingly strong and penetrant, in a way where it won’t leave your nose. Thankfully I only have a sample. Big nope :( At least for those who do love this: this lasts FOREVER and it’s really really strong.

This was a big dislike for me altough i think “normal” people would like it. I tried a sample on the hand and it was like “ffff, this is so boring”. It reminded me of a cheap mix between erba pura and ambroxan. A lot of fruitiness mixed with a very simplistic designerish synthetic vibe. I’m not at all against easy to like perfumes, i love them, but this smells like a copy paste of this, that and the other one, like they didn’t put much effort when creating the fragrance. Plus, it smells very cheap synthetic and i don’t accept it when a fragrance costs more than 100€, sorry. I’m struggling finding a fragrance from this house worth its price. Might sound gross but this should step down into the sephora thing, at 50-60€ Very personal opinion, sorry.

I can't get into this one. All it smells like to me is Ocean by Bath and Body works, but with a sickly sweet blueberry note added. I used to wear Ocean in high school. I wanted to smell masculine and fresh... Smelling this now, all I get from it is cheap and screechy. It's not a scent profile I enjoy anymore. Whether I grew out of it, overused it, or what, I'm not sure. But this is just giving middle school locker room. Axe body spray. Cheap men's fragrance. Makes me a bit nauseous, honestly. I hate speaking bad on JHAG because this is probably my favorite fragrance brand ever... but this was not for me.

This line continues to underwhelm me. I try all their new releases hoping for something I can latch onto. Anyway, Ego Stratis smells like a vaguely sweet aquatic sporty teen cologne. I can understand the comparison to Allure Homme Sport - like similar DNA but AHS I find to be so pleasant and smooth. The drydown in this is too salty/aquatic and it feels like it's neither a fresh sportie cologne nor a true salty aquatic.

I’m not a fan of aquatic fragrances and this one is a contemporary spin on the davidoff coolwater. To me, It had this cloying underlying stevia sweetness to it without being sweet, if that makes sense . Like ocean water with lemon and stevia . I love ambroxan scents but this one just wasn’t for me .

heavy on the citrus opening. it just smells like men's cologne. i wish it wasn't advertised as unisex when it leans so heavily masculine. a bit headache-inducing for me to wear, but would be nice to smell on someone else.

I recieved this as a 5ml gift with my purchase at Skins in The Netherlands. I think they don’t want to see me return as a customer. I really don’t like it. Reminds me of a cheap shower gel.

i sprayed a sample of this ONE time on a tissue. i hated it immediately. i threw the tissue away hours ago and it is still lingering in the air. I have never felt more nauseous from a perfume. I am not sure what the troublesome note is, but I suspect it is the combination of Calone, Sea Notes, Neroli, and Cedar that is bothering me. to be fair, I have not liked any of the 4-5 Juliette has a Gun fragrances that I have tested. This one is by far the worst though.

Good fragrance, really pleasant. I really get that calone smell in this, it’s strong. I dig it though. I’m not sure what exactly to compare it to but I know I’ve smelled something like this before. Has a very designer, unisex but more masculine leaning cologne essence to it. I like it but don’t love it. I’ll revisit it when it’s not winter but I will say for the first time with this brand, this perfume actually lasts and projects well for me. So that is a plus especially for a fresh scent. I feel it would be a dumb reach kind of fragrance, office friendly too, I just need to play around with it more in warmer weather to see how it can really shine. Winter is probably not doing it justice. I do want to add that I didn’t get the blueberry note in here sadly, I was looking forward to that. Perhaps it reveals itself differently in warmer weather like I mentioned. I think it’s definitely worth sampling. It’s rather “basic” but sometimes you just need something like that in your collection for an easy grab or a break between heavier and more complex scents so that’s why I’m intrigued by it, and the good performance too. I don’t know if I have the patience to wait until warm weather to try it again so I think I’ll wear it to the gym soon and make up my mind. Edit: I wore it to the gym and while I still find it really pleasant to smell, I found it to lean too masculine for me. I felt like I was wearing a sporty cologne which wasn’t the vibe I wanted to give off for myself. It also didn’t last as long during activity as it did without which would be the whole purpose of this scent for me so it’s a pass. I got 30 mins out of it before it became a skin scent. Still I think it’s a decent mass appealing smelling sporty fragrance that I feel leans more to the masculine side.

As a fan and owner of most Jhag fragrances i always check up and get excited about new launches. For Ego stratis it was a bit different because of all the negative reviews in here and truthfully i didnt get excited about it when i smelled it in store but still got it cause my skin is a sucker for amboxan. It grew on me even though it's winter and it is a freshie but people always complimented me on it. It is leaning on the masculine side, does smell like citrusy cologne but it has a je ne sais quoi going on. As soon as it settles on the skin, the calone is the main lead while the scent walzes between lemony citrusy and fruity cologne. You can pick up on the peach and blueberry but not in a gourmand way. Its clean, airy and has a comforting ozonic dry down. Projection and lasting power are great compared to most of the other Jhags, people around you can definitely smell it through out the day. If Vanilla Vibes is Salty, sunscreened skin on the beach this is ocean breeze, white sweater on a yacht. Both smell like the end of the afternoon kind of sea vibes but from different perspectives.

Very “blue”. The beginning is the smell of the color of light-medium ocean blue. Slightly marine, lemon citrus and cologne-like, very fresh with the ability to cut through hot air. Then one hour in it becomes a medium-dark blue, if that makes sense lol. The blueberry is slightly noticeable at times in a watery but more musky way. Sometimes it’s not as present. Regardless, it’s what keeps this from becoming too masculine for me. I’m sure this is considered very masculine for some. This also checks off all that I like in a freshie, wrapped in one. Refreshing, clean, musky, aquatic and molecule qualities with enough citrus and a touch of watery fruit combined to not make it too fruity, if I’m not in the mood for that. It’s also sharp enough to cut through humidity but not too much to drive me away. Since I’m limiting the size of my collection, that works for me. Glad I tested it on my skin at the niche store. I almost forgot what I sprayed on myself, but the relentless scent trail behind me jogged my memory. With all that said, this is probably not that unique.

This fragrance has grown on me so much - I blind bought it a year ago because I found it massively reduced and liked the look of the notes. I regretted it instantly as I thought it just smelled like a generic mens cologne, so its been sitting for ages unused. Recently I decided to give it another go and I don't know if my nose has changed but I'm in love with it! I do find it odd how JHAG released 'Ex Vetiver' as their masculine fragrance when this exists - to me this is their most masculine out of the line up. The performance is impressive, I can still smell this quite strongly after hours of wear - it's musky with a hint of blueberry sweetness that stays present. I think you have to enjoy the brand DNA to be able to get on board with this, as I can see how people could find it screechy or headache inducing. It's a very synthetic smell but not in a bad way - suitable for day time wear but also works in the evening

I just bought this because I do love me some manly colognes sometimes, or a good unisex. My FAV men’s cologne is Valentinos Uomo Born in Roma! I really wish I could say more. But Babey, the reviewer just below me said everything you need to hear. I can’t explain it any better, but it hits the nail on the head! There is just something about it, like when I first smell JHAG Superdose. It was a “do I like it? Actually I think I love it!” Reaction for me. I do think if you like unisex, or if you’re female and dip your toes in the masculine scents type, then you’ll think this one is fun too. :D
