Miss Charming

MISS CHARMING by Juliette Has A Gun Gloriously beautiful fruity rose! Opens with a mouthwatering explosion of ripe, tart, fresh wildberries and strawberries from a new crop just gathered in the fields, fully-ripened litchi, and newly blossoming garden roses in the summertime. Dries down to a clean and subtle musk. Like biting into a ripe, tart berry at breakfast with the juices popping in your mouth! Then devouring a ripe litchi fruit, and sniffing the fully opened blossoms of red roses on the bush near the breakfast nook! This is no wallflower shy rose! This is a woman full of life, joyously running through a summer meadow laughing in delight at the beautiful day, with delicious wildberries overflowing in her basket, roses woven in her hair, and celebrating the happiness of life itself! I find this perfume to be very jubilant in nature and it makes me smile to wear it! There is nothing to weigh down the ultra-fresh juicy goodness here. This is totally delicious from the opening through full dry down on my skin. No added sickening sweetness other than that which is naturally found in the ripe plants themselves. No overdone musk, or woods, or spices to cloud the freshness of the fruit or the clarity of the rose. On my skin I get no soapy detergent notes at any stage in development either. Much richer and fruitier than Paul Smith Rose. Much more berries than Rose 4 Reines. This is by no means a soliflore. No nasty patchouli like Lady Vengeance. No heavy musk like Stella. Denser than Chloe Intense with the fruit mélange. Less smooth but much more tartly flirtatious and fun than Fille de Berlin. Not quite as powerful in pure roses as the Montale Highness Rose, but then nothing else is either. Much more rosy clean and fresh than the Bvlgari Rose Essentielle. Far more beautiful on my skin than Rose The One. All in all, a very unique rose that is opulently fruity and mouthwateringly gorgeous. I have a full bottle and plan to buy more. I find it hard to tear my nose away from my wrists with this one! Absolute Rose Love here!

This is a very juicy rose fragrance, and yes, I think it's very charming and mood-lifting! The dominant note in this is definitely the rose (which I love, because I am a huge fan of rosy perfumes for the most part). It smells floral, powdery, and soft. Now, I'm typically not the biggest fan of berry notes, but I think they are used extremely well here. The blackberry adds a brightness and a "morning dew"-like quality to the main rose note. The strawberry adds a hint of a sweet and sour note that almost makes the rose smell "tea-like" to me, which I also love because I'm a huge fan of tea-based perfumes. Before trying this, I was initially told how sweet this fragrance was-- to the point where I was almost expecting for this to be a gourmand. This is not at all a gourmand. It's a fruity floral ... But a very well-made fruity floral that is happy and youthful, but not at all immature (this is not AT ALL a celebrity-type fragrance). I figure that if you enjoy a sweet and clean fragrance like Nina by Nina Ricci, then you would probably enjoy the heck out of this. I find that this perfume lasts a very decent amount of time for me, as do all of the Juliette Has a Gun Fragrances I've tried out. This isn't a fragrance I'd qualify as a "one spray and you're done" kind of thing either. It's a good middle ground in terms of duration and sillage. I can easily see this being a signature-type fragrance for many people, since it's so wearable and not cloying in the slightest. I think it should be great to wear during the Spring and Summer. Overall, this is a clean, sweet, and feminine rose fragrance that's just delightful. I adore it. I'd say that Miss Charming is the yin to Lady Vengeance's yang (because Lady Vengeance is a fantastic, but a much sharper and a more "va va voom" rose perfume). I've yet to try a Juliette Has a Gun fragrance that I've disliked.

After trying this a couple times in the JHAG discovery set, it didn't particularly stand out to me. It was fresher and fruitier than any of the others, but not particularly memorable. (I know now that that is because I'm impatient and greedy with testing scents, so I probably rarely-to-never gave this a proper chance on it's own and would likely add another layer or two of Lady Vengeance or Mad Madame.) Then I saw a 50 mL bottle for a steal of a price on eBay and figured why not, I could always sell or trade it. I finished up my sample with a proper solo-dousing and OOH YUM what a difference! I would have never chosen this scent for myself, but it's become super addictive and I get tons of compliments on it. The perfect balance of fizzy-sweet and tart with just enough fresh rose vibes to smooth it out and add a little complexity. I find myself reaching for it more and more as the weather gets nicer, and I'm always delighted when I find the scent lingering on my scarf a day or two later. Sometimes I layer with a little more fresh rose (a la Paul Smith or Theme Bows & Eros) for a slightly different effect but that delicious strawberry-litchi fizz always sparkles through and lives up to the name. Utterly youthful, fresh and charming. P.S. This is the third or fourth Kurkdjian scent that I have gone mad for, I think I have a full-blown crush!

A beautiful purple rose is a rare find. That's true in nature and equally true in perfumery. Miss Charming is a purple rose to me... purple, precious and litchi infused. The fruit defines this rose. Francis Kurkdjian's use of a litchi / berry blend to create a rose simultaneously sweet, sour and slightly (and unexpectedly) boozy is too good to go unnoticed. It really is charming. even if a bit tipsy. That might just be where the charm lives. It sounds as if Miss Charming is modern, but strangely it's not. Just the opposite. It's a Victorian rose to my nose. Not stale or overly powdery, but a little dusty. For such a simple, linear composition, it certainly leaves a lasting impression. One of feminine appeal, sweetness, lace, friends, youth, spunk, innocence, wine, and yes, charm. While not cozy and comforting, it's comfortable. I find it especially easy to wear while sitting around gabbing with my girls about nothing and everything. It's that kind of fragrance. Longevity--average Projection--average Charm--enough to spare Though I doubt this darling Juliette has ever even seen a picture of a gun, she's completely disarming.

I am in LOVE with this scent. It is NOT a teenage scent (even though any age will smell good wearing this), but it is actually one of my all-time favorites out of my vast collection of bottles. I have really gotten into the perfume collecting since I quit smoking a few years ago. Now I can smell and it won't smell like I am trying to disguise smoke smell. Anyway, for about the last 12 to 16 months I have been frantically searching for a dupe of my absolute favorite perfume that has been discontinued (Stella Rose Absolute Intense). I must have purchased blindly at least 25 bottles that resemble it but nothing that was spot on. Just this week, I was going through all of the many bottles of perfume that I own already which is enough for 10 lifetimes, and came across this. THIS IS THE DUPE! Not only is it a TRUE dupe for SRAI, but it is even better due to the great longevity on my skin. It projects nicely and smells so fresh that I do believe can be worn in an office setting. I can't believe I had the dupe I was looking for all along! Now to find some backups of this before it becomes obsolete. It is the BEST.

After daydreaming for too long about testing the JHAG fragrances, I finally got the chance of it! The first one I tested was Miss Charming, and I must say that it's a perfume that lives up to its name: It starts with a sweet, fruity rose that feels plastic for a moment - only for a moment- and then it softens delightfully to a beautiful bouquet of confectionery roses -in the manner of rosewater but stronger-, red berries and something soft that might be or not musk, lasting for hours like a charm (no pun intended). If Miss Charming was a person, she could be that new coworker or that stranger you casually meet who's all bubbly, smiley and greets you with a "Hello! I'm Miss Charming!" which can result annoying at the start - the plastic feeling - but that feeling doesn't last for long and before you realize it, she has already wrapped around you with her loveliness, drawing a smile upon your face and taking your hand warmly. Miss Charming might not be the most sofisticated or the most exuberant of the Juliettes, but certainly is the one that'd take you to the bright side.

Miss Charming is a beautiful, innocent pink rose with gentle and natural berry accords. It reminds me of a sunny day and all things pleasant, happy and good. I love this pretty little rose. She is a bit innocent but so adorable. Indeed, the title of Miss Charming fits it perfectly. I think I smell a lovely mix of raspberries, strawberries with a trace of citrus in the beginning. Miss Charming is a perfect example of a wonderful fruity rose in the heart notes where the soft sweetness of lychee mixes flawlessly with the dewy rose petals. The scent is natural and pretty. As the composition develops there is a slight earthy hint towards the dry down but it is not as strong as in other earthy roses. Overall the composition remains young and pleasant, soft and pretty. The sillage is medium but the longevity is only a few hours. Overall score is 8.5/10. I adore this charming rose scent. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a fruity rose, which is natural, youthful and pretty.

Okay, so I know I've said this before, but I mean it this time...this is my FAVORITE non-patchouli rose perfume!! Today was my very first day wearing it and I loved it so much I just couldn't get enough! I sprayed it on 3 different times a total of ten sprays all day and I regret nothing. I smelled SO good. Infact the first thing I heard this morning when I walked into work was my coworker exclaiming how great I smelled. Of course, I mean it's true. This rose perfume is cute, fun, and of course charming! It's a pretty pink rose with tangy tart berries and yummy squishy sweet litchi! I swear there are raspberries in here. The musk is very nice and makes the fragrance project well. I feel confident and happy strutting around spreading my great smell lol. The lasting power wasn't amazing I got about 5 hours till I noticed it fading a lot. Still, I would buy it in a heart beat! I only have a 5 mL decant but this second it's used up I promise this will be going on my want list.

I have a sample of this. Initially I thought it was very 'blah' - in the same vein of Paul Smith's Rose, but it's grown on me. It doesn't have the green notes that I hate in Paul Smith's Rose. It's a very fruity rose on inital spray, not too tart and not too sweet. Like a delicate rose jam with some fragrant berries. After that it becomes a bit grassier and more rose-garden. Then finally it's a turkish delight rose without becoming stuffy or old-lady, and still retains some sweetness and life. It has decent longevity and medium-heavy sillage on me compared to JHAG's other scents. I prefer this to Lipstick Fever definitely, that one is way too waxy. Very nice scent. Very refreshing, it has enough warmth to be appropriate in the cooler months but also fresh and fruity enough to be summer-appropriate. If only they made a 30ml, I'd definitely buy it. Not sure about a full 50ml though. If you love Roses and have been looking for a particularly jammy and fruity one, this is it.

There are a couple of notes which are listed by the perfumer but have not been posted to this page yet: musk and berries. I get the forest fruits right away in this, swiftly followed by the moroccan rose. I can smell a little strawberry, but I'm mostly getting 'purple' fruit smells, grape and blueberry, blackberry, raspberry too. The rose stays steady until the drydown, where the musk really comes into its own. Its not a dry musk, but humid like a rainforest shower. The berries blend into the musk nicely, creating a deep, moody and playful atmosphere. Still has that 'rainforest' feel, now a cheeky monkey pops out of a tree and steals some of the rose. The berries come forward again, this time leaving musk and rose to blend into the background. The 'mood' of the fragrance is lighter, like the end of a heavy rainstorm when you can start to smell the trees. I think I've found my berry rose fragrance :)

Miss Charming is a sweet rose scent with fruity undertones. The rose is very prominent but clean and seems to dominate the scent. IMO rose scents tend come in three versions - rosewater, true rose and rose oil. This scent is leaning towards rose oil. When first sprsyed it is similar to Stella - you get that instant rose hit, but when it settles it is much more pleasant on me. Stella turned very heavy after few minutes. I think due to Amber...I love Amber but when two prominet scents like amdber and rose oil are combined on my skin they tend to overwhelm. In Miss Charming rose stays dominant and extra fruity notes just add a touch of sweetness making it a very wearable rose scent for me. Update: My husband loves how it smells on me. He is very picky with perfumes and doesn't like very strong or artificial scents. He told me Miss Charming smells very pretty and natural.

This fragrance is one of my most calming fragrances (I'm a rose person, lavender doesn't do it for me)! I like it better than Stella. It's a young berry rose with a clean musk dry down, just wonderful if you love a fruity rose. I would say it was named appropriately as "Miss Charming", for charming is exactly how I would characterize it. There is one major issue I have with this fragrance and that is: it doesn't last worth anything on my skin!! It's pathetic! I spray it at 7:00am and it's undetectable by 9:30-10:00am. I don't know if I've had a perfume perform this badly before. The only saving thing is that it lasts when I spray it on my clothes, I get closer to the 5-7 hour longevity that I'm used to from other perfumes I own. All in all, I love this young, charming fruity rose but I would LOVE it if it lasted at all on the skin

I recently purchased a full bottle after finishing a sample and really enjoying it. Fairly simple, straightforward fruity-floral scent: jammy rose supported by lytchee and a light berry note. Musk comes out after a couple of hours, as this morphs into more of a skin scent. Longevity is fine, projection is low, but this is actually why I like it. It's perfectly office and everyday appropriate, smells lovely and clean, without being completely run-off-the-mill. Very reminiscent of Roses de Chloé to my nose (although MC predates RdC). I remember RdC turning to vile toilet cleaner on me though, but this stays lovely. I've been testing Lady Vengeance and Mad Madame from JHAG alongside Miss Charming, and the three of them are definitely variations on a theme, with Miss Charming being the sweeter and easier to wear of the bunch.

I think it must be the type of rose used that makes me love this more and more, and that also makes me think of Clinique Happy. They must have used the same type of fresh, sweet rose, as I don't find that many other similarities, except fruit in general. This one makes me smile, just as Happy used to do when I caught wiffs of it from my friend years ago. Update: Just found a single left over bottle of the "old" version of Stella when I was shopping yesterday, and I definitely see the resemblance. Testing one on each wrist, I would say this is more "sparkling" and juicy though, more as if the first seconds of Stella would just last and last and last. It actually lasts almost an entire day on me, in sharp contrast to Stella. At least enough so I can enjoy it when sticking my nose to my my wrist. And I do. A lot.

Get your sunglasses out before you apply. If not~there's a good chance you'll be blinded by her sunlight this close up! I find Miss C to be the happiest fragrance on the block. Complicated? No. She's too much of an extrovert to hold much mystery~but I love her just the same. More maybe. There is no lie in her. She is what she is quite irresistably. She's a just opened, firm, bright pink rose playing w/a bunch of luscious, juicy fruit on a playground somewhere. She has pigtails and energy to spare and everybody loves her. You don't need an ID in this place. There is no age requirement. Everyone in this atmosphere is cheerful and in the mood for compliments and fun. Honestly~the only thing serious here ARE the compliments. Welcome to the realm of Miss Charming........smiles required.

My first all-day experience with this one today. The first time I tried it, I was trying or sniffing several other fragrances at the same time, so I got a little confused and didn't feel this in the right way at all! I even thought of sending it back. SO glad I didn't!! It is truly charming. Like soft musky roses and the sun shining at the strawberries you're just about to pick. Would be just as lovely on a teenage girl, as on someone a little older, like me. (Or a lot older. 😁😎) Nothing like a typical gourmand at all, and nothing mainstream about it. Has some sweetness, but not too much. It has turned out to be very clear for me, that I love JHAG:s fragrances. I now have five of them... 😏☺

sometimes i m really impressed about those missleaded noses who are reviewing here ? Agent Provocateur doesn 't smell not even a bit like miss charming. by looking to the notes this is obviousely not the case... zzzz this one smells quite identical to ghost, but mutch stronger and longlasting, more seductive and daring sexy. quite alot notes they have in common. Agent Provocateur smells not sweet, has dirty musk in it and some smoky smell and all about powdery nauseatic flowers, this one it's fresh, sweet and bright with a warm base and only a slight powdery but creamy and soapy accord. nothing to compare. i love this one, Agent Provocateur i hate.

This fragrance is rosy and sweet but not overly sweet. Also I feel it is neither overpowering nor so shy. The rose feels good but again there are other perfumes that smell smiliar or better, eg.Stella is a really good rose perfume. If you are a true rose lover you would love "Moroccan rose" from the body shop. In fact Miss Charming has the same kind of rose as Moroccan Rose even though the latter is more potent and screams of rose. Miss Charming is more balanced and the sweet fruits make their presence known as well. However as I said, you might want to check out Stella before you spend the big bucks on Miss Charming

Well I am just starting to adore rose perfumes and am currently sampling quite a few of these. This morning I sprayed Miss Charming (from Juliette Has A Gun's sampler set - great price by the way) for the school drop off. I don't often get comments on my perfumes but today another Mum asked me what I was wearing and it was this fruity rose number. I find it quite light and girly but sometimes that is just what is required. I have found that his scent has put me in quite a joyous mood and I feel quite delicious smelling. This is not a deep and dirty rose but it is light, sweet and happy. I absolutely love it.

I’ve worn Stella for more than a decade, and this definitely is the best substitute now that Stella is discontinued. Miss Charming does not last as long, but either way if you’re wanting to buy this because you’re looking for something like Stella then definitely buy it. It might get stronger as time goes by like some perfumes do. Also, I’ve seen that people describe it as a cold scent but I only got that for the initial use. It’s definitely warmed up since then. A few days later: scent is much stronger but now it smells like a hybrid of Stella and rose jam by lush. I still love it.

The accords list above says: fruity rose tropical musky sweet None of these accords appeal to me particularly, I usually go for scents very different from this. I especially hate rose. But whaddya know, I do quite like this. It's the lychee; which isn't as sweet as many other fruit accords. Rose is prominent, but I actually don't mind it here. Sillage is moderate for me, longevity probably four hours. I'm going through the JHAG sample set. I won't buy a full bottle of this just because there are a million I like at least as much as this, but I will enjoy the sample.

One of those scents you can trust and can depend on which, as a dear friend who did not always feel: you know that there is and can do more account. It is not spectacular but is crackling, not by night "wow wow", but by the evening with friends, even also for the first date with him and do not want to asphyxiate. Pleasant the rose that is not dominant but accompanied by red berries, and it seems - at least on me, or am i crazy? - mixed with a pinch of gunpowder. To purchase and repurchase , a must have it .

I LOVE this perfume, it's right in my wheelhouse for feeling like a 90s Cool Girl who can pull off leather jackets and Doc Martens and who is central to the Male Protagonist's character arc (think Laura Powers, The Simpsons S4 'New Kid on The Block'). This is a lychee under the hot tropical sun with a musky base that smells almost like smoked salt. It's a little weird, compelling, and I can't stop sniffing myself when I have it on. Projecton and sillage are moderate, longevity is about 6 hours.

Absolutely lovely! The berries and the lychee really prevent Miss Charming from going at all "sour" on my skin. (I have problems with Rose, although I love them.) She is bright and pretty, very slightly powdery, modern and enjoyable. Miss Charming thankfully doesn't contain Patchouli (so often paired with Rose) and a typical note in JHAG fragrances. So, if you, like me, are a little 'scared of Patch, worry not! This is a great Spring and Summer Rose/Berry scent. I really enjoy it.

I came into my room and thought... "Something smells really good in here...." Upon further inspection, I realized it was me lol. Or rather, Miss Charming, which I applied this morning... A full 10 hours ago. This is one of the softer fragrances from the Juliette Has A Gun line, it's suitable for casual or every day wear and I don't think it would be too offensive to anyone. But still smells great! I only have a sample... But now I want a full bottle!!

This is Miss Charming, really. And when I wear this, I become miss charming. This perfume is nice and uplifting. Not like a fake-smile over-the-top happy person, but someone you like to be with. It's uncomplicated and tranquil. It's an all-season scent; it perfectly blends with sun and flowers, and it adds happiness to dark rainy days. For me, it's a perfectly executed fruity (not very sweet, though) rosey perfume. It's exactly how I want to smell.

Very charming indeed! This cheeky little miss brings us fresh picked roses (thorns removed!) dipped in sugar with a plate of litchi on the side! My inner Lolita was delighted! However, those that are looking for a complex rose scent I'm afraid they'll end up feeling disappointed. Miss Charming stays pretty linear and isn't very unique (maybe the little cousin of Stella?) but nevertheless, I like having her around ;) Sillage: 4/10 Stayingpower: 7/10

I am a lover of Juliette perfumes but this one is my least favourite. The rose smells more like jam and it's not that pleasant but it's an ok compliment perfume.....meaning if you spray it with Delina or with Not a Perfume or a low profile vanilla, it improves. I actually spray this with Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille when it needs to have lighter note. It's like the goog girl met the rugged bad boy and they hit it off perfectly.

I never wear fruity florals, so every time I caught a whiff of this scent I wondered who smelled so good. A cheerful, fun, feminine rose scent that is not your average fruity floral due to the litchi note. Sllage is moderate longevity is good: 11hours in and it's yet to become a skin scent.

Lovely rose scent!! It's young, crispy,modern and chic rose perfume. I can smell some soft pepper that don't exist in notes but i think is musk with rose...and is fantastic !!! I'm in love... Great for a day to not disturb people around you , just let them hummmmmm what you wearing???

Miss Charming is a very unique rose fragrance. I am not a fan of fruity perfumes but Miss Charming is so addictive, I cannot stop smelling my wrist. I got quite a collection of rose perfumes, and Miss Charming and Lady Vengeance are among my favorite ones. Definitely worth the price.

Love it. Dewy rose with a spritz of sweet fruit. I recommend this to anyone wanting to try a rose fragrance for the first time. Light, sweet & a little juicy...nothing cloying or old-lady about it. This is Stella's little sister :-)

This is a very nice scent and wearable all year round. It smells exactly like Stella even though they have different compositions. Except this one is lighter and not as long lasting. If I had to choose I'd still pick Stella.

The OG lychee-rose and the best of them all without a debt. MUCH better longevity than any other JHAG I've tried by a longshot and easily the prettiest of them too. If you like those notes it should be a no-brainer.

I was so excited to love this fragrance. I really don't like rose but this one is blended beautifully with the berries. I was really let down when it was completely gone within 30-45 min. Makes me so sad!

this smells - however - EXACTLY like Ghost from Ghost... but mutch more longlasting and more intense in every way! love it! comparing the notes my nose did not fail for another once.

This is what I am looking for! Very subtle and clear rose with pronounced litchi. Very smooth and comfortable, I could not stop sniffing my wrist.

Really remind me to my precios Stella, just wish the staying power way more stronger. But is beautiful and shares the Stella dna.

It reminds me Montale- Crystal Flowers. Absolutely roses and smoky on my skin.

Although I wrote in my previous review that there's nothing special here,I couldn't help myself buy miss charming.it was heavily discounted in clearance(40$ for 3.4oz)so I didn't care wether it's simple or unique or whatever. good that I bought it.I still believe it's a very simple perfume.nothing unique here but it's very pretty.opens with sparkly strawberry,litchi and rose.fruits are sweet but not syrupy.it's happy and girly.nice but not my favorite stage and reminds me Valentino pink a bit Fruity notes calm down after couple of minutes and it dries down to a delicate sweet white musk,rose combo with slightest traces of pink berries.I adore this clean musky rose.indeed it's very charming.innocent,pretty and superfeminine.I thought it's almost a dupe for Chloe EDP and Stella but nope.they may be somehow similar in the opening but they go to completely different paths.stella gets warmer,heavier and more mature with amber.chloe remains very Rosey with soapy undertones but miss charming goes to the lightest,softest,prettiest way possible without being soapy.It was kind of meh at first but now I like it but I still think that the best rose-raspberry perfume out there is Lanvin jeanne la rose Moderate longevity and projection ❤❤❤ تو شروع مقدار زیادی رایحه میوه اب و شیرین توت فرنگی و لیچی،رز رو همراهی میکنن و حالت شاد و دخترونه ای به عطر میدن..تو ساعت اول شباهت زیادی به کلوهه ادوپرفیوم و استلا داره اما در ادامه هرکدوم مسیر متفاوتی رو در پیش میگیرن استلا گرمتر و سنگینتر و بالغتر و امبری میشه،کلوهه حالت رزی،صابونی پیدا میکنه اما میس چارمینگ ملایم ترین و ملیحترین خواهد بود درای داون ترکیبی از مشک سفید و تمیز و رز و ردپای خیلی خیلی کمرنگی از توت های صورتی هست.اگه شما هم عاشق رز تمشکی و مشک تمیز هستید قطعا از این ترکیب ظریف و ملایم خوشتون میاد.موندگاری و پخش متوسط داره،شیرین هست اما نه خیلی و عطر ساده،دوست داشتنی،معصوم و زیباییه

This is a beautiful fragrance and quite long lasting on me! It smells such natural candied roses. I have been into rose fragrances lately, after I bought Aqua Allegoria Flora Rosa from Guerlain. I only have 75 mL of that one and began panicking after I saw I had used up relatively much in a short while - I just love the smell of that perfume. I decided I need to find some other rose perfumes I can use the times I don't use Aqua Allegoria. I now have JHAG Miss Charming, Annick Goutal Rose Splendide, Dior Addict to Life and Flora Rosa that all smell predominantly of rose. Miss Charming is a sweet, natural, really charming rose, very girly. Flora Rosa is a very fresh, natural tea rose, not much sweetness in this one. Many people like Juliete Has A Gun's Lady Vengeance, but on me it smells more woods than rose, so it doesn't serve it's purpose. Rose Splendide is a green rose, with petals and stem included - perfect for those that don't like sweet fragrances - it's definitely not sweet. Dior Addict to life isn't a favourite of mine - I find it a little harsh for my taste. I have also smelt Stella McCartney's Stella, and if I remember right, that perfume is quite beautiful too, although it smells a bit strong at first, but definitely something I would recommend trying - I was actually considering buying it myself :) I have owned Yves Rocher's Rose Absolue - it's definitely for those people who like quite sweet fragrances, but not a favourite of mine as I find it too heavy. I have also owned La Perla Divina - some people like it, but it smells too synthetic to me. Dior's Bouquet is a very nice, soft peony and rose fragrance. Ce Soir Ou Jamais by Annick Goutal is supposed to be a rose fragrance, but to me it mainly smells of pear.

I'm beginning to think rose is one of my favourite notes. I've at least liked every incarnation of it I've ever tried, from Frederic Malle's heavy, dark, incense-heavy knockout Portrait of a Lady to the Body Shop's straightforward, bright, sweet interpretation, Atlas Mountain Rose. So when I got the chance to buy a little decant of this fruity rose incarnation, I didn't take much convincing, and sure enough, it's no exception to the rule: I like it very much. This rose is a very innocent one. It's bright and fruity to the point of being girly, but not to the point of being childish. It's not synthetic or cheap smelling at all (luckily, because that wouldn't be easy to forgive at this price) - which means it could be worn by women of all ages and in more or less any setting, as long as they're not trying to seduce anyone (although I guess innocence can be seductive too). The perfect occassion for this would be a happy, sunny day in spring. It does seem made for an idyllic setting, but lacking that (as daily life mostly does) you coud wear it to your advantage to inject some colour and happiness into a drab day at the office or something. I think this one is very well named, charming is the word for it indeed. The only gripe I have with it is that it's pretty weak; it takes at least three or four sprays to be noticeable without smelling my wrist closely, and even then it retreats close to the skin after a couple of hours. That won't stop me from getting more of this once I finish my little decant, though; it never feels wrong, and that must be why I've been reaching for it more than I was expecting this spring and summer.

Miss Charming is an obligate warm-weather perfume: she only likes summer temperatures! In cold weather, she is pale, sharp, perfumey, and to my dismay, generic. Nothing at all like the promises made by JHAG. However, worn in muggy, summery weather, Miss Charming is perfectly delicious. Gone is the metallic rose and plastic fruits. The rose literally blooms in the warmth. Miss Charming is like a bouquet of full plush red roses next to a bowl of strawberries and litchi with a little powdered sugar sprinkled on top. Here and there I can catch a a touch of tart/sourness in the fruits. Sometimes the rose nears actual edible (drinkable?) rosewater, which is just mouthwatering to me, especially paired with the fruits. While Miss Charming is still a top-notey fruity floral, unlike her JHAG sisters, she is still exceptionally pleasant. Other similar rose/berries scents lack the richness that Miss Charming brings, and MC lacks the synthetic edge many have too. Also, it's so strong with two sprays I was tasting it! As with other JHAGs, I think people go anosmic to MC easily because of this. Overall, I recommend MC, at least for testing. It is absolutely not my style of fragrance, and I normally hate fresh rose perfumes, but Miss Charming was formulated well and has earned a spot next to my other JHAG rose scents.

It's like a love child of Chloe edp or Stella and Valentino pink.valentino pink it's as much rosey and it has more sweet and gourmand facets.among miss charming and Stella or Chloe love I prefer miss charming.although it's very rosey too,it has a little more to offer.it opens with a sweet rose and fresh juicy berry-like fruits,specially strawberry and litchi.as it dries down white musk shows up more and what remains on skin after hours is a slightly soapy rose,clean and ladylike and classy It's a like for me but not something I'd love or rush to buy because I have Stella,tea rose,Paul Smith rose,florabotanica,Lanvin jeanne rose and I don't need another rosey perfume but if it was sweeter or more fruity or if it had other notes that made rose less prominent(such as Valentino pink or montale candyrose) I'd buy it It's very feminine,bright,fresh,clean and girly.good for spring and summer with moderate Longevity and sillage ❤❤❤

A really elegant, effervescent burst of berries, followed by a rich, well-rounded rose. I don't see it listed here, but I feel like I'm detecting the usual JHAG ambroxan cocktail on the drydown. Miss Charming is very in line with the brand aesthetically, but I can sense Francis Kurkdjian's stamp on it as the scent progresses (leave it to Kurkdjian to make berries feel sophisticated). It also feels a lot like Mad Madame by the same brand to me, but minus all that animalic heft. I often find myself layering the two fragrances because they feel so complementary. Mad Madame beefs up Miss Charming with some castoreum, Miss Charming dances around Mad Madame with its ebullient fruitiness. I don't know how this scent would play on male skin, but could definitely see this as a fragrance for a girl in her late teens through to late twenties. It's fun, sweet, and sensual; definitely for someone carefree and, above all, charming.

You can definitely smell the fruit and rose in this. I think the name Miss Charming is aptly fitting. It is a bit more of a youthful fragrance IMO but the rose does lend a bit of maturity to the scent. The rose in this one is different than the rose in other JHAG fragrances like Lady Vengeance or Midnight Oud. The rose in MC is more bright and not as deep and earthy and sensual as in the other scents. It pairs well with the bright fruits that shine early in application but the dry down, on me at least, was all rose. It reminds me a bit of a lotion Victoria's Secret had back in the day, Strawberries and Champagne. Some other comments refer to this as having a "sour" smell which I can see how that might happen as I detected a very, very faint aspect of this but I imagine depending on ones chemistry this will be less detectable or amplified. Overall a pretty fragrance that the rose eventually takes center stage.

It starts off as a very pretty , delicate, fresh rose with the addition of sweet and slightly tart berries. Transparent comes to mind as a description for this scent in the beginning. As it dries down, it becomes muskier and I can pick out the more voluptuous sweetness of lychee/litchi. I would label this more of a floral musk than a floral-fruity. I applied it from a sample that came as a pack from the JHAG website and it seems to have a soft sillage, perhaps a spray would be better. Longevity is moderate, about 4-6 hours, at which point it is pretty much a skin scent. I'm quite pleased with my first JHAG and look forward to exploring the full collection with time. I would recommend this as a safe blind buy for those who love florals (definitely roses), those who like naturally sweet scents without too much sugar going on and for those looking for a pretty gift for a friend/love.

I will be very honest right from the top and say that I purchased this one because I read that it's a similar experience to Stella McCartney. It shares a lot in common with Stella, but where Stella is warm and always reminds me of the smell of a garden-ripened rose in the warm sunshine, Miss Charming has a sharper, cooler edge that makes me think of a rose in a cool conservatory away from the midday heat. To my nose this sharpness comes from berry notes such as raspberry, which give this fragrance a youthful, playful feel. The muskiness softens the rose-berry combo though, and prevents it from harsh and too sharp. I'm glad I own it, and will enjoy wearing it. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian and he does rose really well. He's also the nose behind Lady Vengeance, which is my favourite from this brand. That's a full-on sweet rose-musk combo that is a lot of fun.

While I think the rose note/accord is the same as Stella, this does not really smell all that much like Stella to me. It is missing the pepper, for one thing, and it just veers a lot brighter and sweeter. Given the fruity notes you'd expect this one to be jammy, but it smells like a pretty straightforward clean rose to me. I do wish it had some spice or incense as I prefer a tiny bit of edge in my rose perfumes, but it certainly is not bad. If you loved only the opening of Stella with the bright rose then you'll enjoy this, but don't expect quite the same level of nuance. Not FBW for me, but I have sampled other roses I like much more. I do think this is one of the best perfumes in the JHAG line, the other being Lady Vengeance. I used to quite like this house, but all of their recent additions to their line in the past few years have turned me off.
