Mmmm...

This is a strange perfume - but I really like it! When I first tried it I was confused by what I was smelling but as the opening settled and it sat on my skin I came to love it! It opens with a sweet fruit note - the raspberry appears immediately, combined with the powdery musk - This perfume has to settle, I think it is one that needs to agree with your body chemistry and one you need to test on your skin. Juliette has A Gun seem to operate in the ‘love it or leave it’ category of perfumes rather than be generic crowd pleasers. On myself, I adored it, it started sweet fruit notes, surrounded by a powdery aura and then became creamy and caramelly with an extra sense of depth as the day ended, staying for about 7 hours. On the test paper, it smelt like play doh undoubtably and wasn’t particularly pleasant or remarkable - on me, it had a great progression and got better through the day and didn’t smell playdohy at all. I don’t like super deep overwhelming fragrances with biting notes as they can give me a headache, this definitely remains quite light and although it is strong and noticeable - is not headache inducing like a hypnotic poison. I chose this over HP because to me it is more versatile, easier to wear, girlier and has a fruitier profile. once I tested it - I felt sad when I couldn’t smell it anymore :/ I’ll be wearing this one day to day for sure!

Mmmm... by Juliette Has A Gun was not very interesting to me when it was released in 2016. It was too powdery plus, I had convinced myself that it was too similar to Hypnotic Poison to justify a purchase. Fast forward to 2025 to my random craving for romantic, powdery, purple, slightly gourmand heliotrope and new appreciation for slightly vintage, maybe "classic" scent profiles. After pawing through my collection, I found a travel size of (the discontinued?) Grain de Soleil--that did the job, but I really couldn't find anything else that "hit the spot", except for maybe a tiny sample of L'Eau d'Hiver, which is on my full bottle list, but I couldn't bring myself to purchase it because it wasn't quite sweet enough. Then, I randomly busted out my travel size of Mmmm... and yes--that is what I was looking for! The composition is sweet and almondy of course, but it feels like one big powdery flower, like, omg, heliotrope! I am completely convinced that Mmmm... is a heliotrope solitary floral, even though I've never smelled heliotrope by itself. :) JHaG is probably my favorite widely distributed affordable perfume house now given that Mugler has been ruined by L'Oreal.

This perfume is SUCH a stand-out in comparison to most other Juliette Has A Gun fragrances I've sampled/bought. Unlike my experiences with JHAG's "Vanilla Vibe" and "Pear Inc," its longevity is impressive and the scent is fairly concentrated so you won't find yourself needing to drench yourself in it when going out. It also lacks that strong synthetic scent that can be noted in their formula of "Not a Perfume" (which, to me, smelled like literal smelling salts..yuck!) That being said, the scent itself is ADDICTIVE. It's so rich and stunning, unlike most perfumes I've come across before. This smells so licorice-y and enticing. I literally bought the 3.3oz bottle as my first buy because I know I'll be coming back to this over and over. It's alluring, feminine, licorice-y, and lipstick-y. The throw on this perfume isn't super far, this scent sits very close to the skin much like Glossier's original "You" formula. It's just so lovely. Every time I put this on I feel like I belong in Gossip Girl or something. Don't be surprised if you start plucking your eyebrows thin and donning pencil skirts after trying this...

this is one of my favourite fragrances of all time. it’s so complex and juicy but also so warm and cozy, there’s a lot of notes in here i wouldn’t initially go for (caramel especially) as i’m not a big gourmand fan and find caramel is the ultimate gourmand note but the juicy raspberry and the floral really lighten it where the caramel is almost coming off as another type of musk note rather than edible. i think the patchouli is somehow almost giving a very VERY slight black liquorice note which is also something i would typically stay away from but UGH the balancing of every note is so particular and so perfect smelling this FOR SURE makes you go “mmm” as someone who doesn’t love gourmands this really is giving me more of a juicy cashmere cuddly scent, i can imagine wearing this on christmas eve curled up in a new blanket you opened a night earl, there’s wine and cookie aroma in the air surrounded by laughter and a metaphorical blanket of people you love. i never would’ve reached for it without getting a tester but ive repurchased it and it’s become my signature scent

Reading other reviews for this was shocking to me. I'm currently searching for a signature perfume, and I deeply considered this one. The fruity raspberry notes fill any room I enter and the scent clings to me all day long and even after I wake up in the morning. The florals compliment the subtle gourmand notes, and I receive compliments telling me that my scent fills a room in a pleasant way anytime I wear this. The scent is difficult to place, but I would consider it close to raspberry mousse. Uniquely sweet, like breathing in a candied mist. Not for those who don't enjoy standing out or who don't enjoy sweeter scents. I don't get a hint of anything 'rotten' at all. That being said, funnily enough, what keeps me from making this my sig. scent is the name 'Mmm..' It sounds good on paper, but how am I supposed to tell people what I'm wearing?.. 'What are you wearing' 'Mmmm'... Nothing about the title actually conveys what it is, which makes it difficult to talk to others about in person. That small inconvenience aside, I adore this scent.

I unironically, audibly said mmmmm when I first smelled this! It is an incredible powdery raspberry upon first spray. There is this deeper, sophisticated powder (I think from the neroli) that feels almost honeyed. The geranium adds a rich, mature rose, perfectly evoking the memory of opening a fancy, expensive blush. It is just so luxurious. I find it youthful, yet it has an elegance that fits any age. The tuberose adds a very slight bubblegum-esque creamy floral, while the jasmine and orange blossom prevent it from becoming too gourmand. The dry-down? It just smells like a classy, elegant lady. You get this slight tinge of vanilla and caramel, while the white musk blends everything together. This scent has all the elements I love, which I know doesn't always guarantee a YES, but... this scent was absolutely made for me. Despite my initial worries of it being too gourmand (from the Caramel), the florals and raspberry mellow it out beautifully.

When I first sprayed this I was like “huh??” and then I thought to myself that I cannot even smell it. After I wore it, it grew on me more and more and more to the point that I now consider it one of my favourite scents, a true signature scent. I’ve never smelled floral gourmands before but this perfume really opened this chapter for me. I am not a very floral person, but a floral gourmands feel like such complex scents. I think any description of this perfume would lack the complexity and depth of this perfume. I have no words to describe it. however, I do not think this is a good blind buy. I was lucky enough to like it even though I didn’t know how it smells. give it a try when you can! the silage and longevity are great/amazing. I received lots of compliments even after wearing it for 6+ hours. MMM... 🌸🍓

This will always have special place in my heart for two reasons, first it reminds me of the beginning of my fragrance journey & secondly it also reminds me of my late sister. ❤️ Now going into how this smells, to my nose none of the “reminds me of” section resonates with me. I enjoy this far more than hypnotic poison which i also have. HP is very almond heavy and this is not, i do get why ppl feel there could be a resemblance (the powdery aspect) but they are far far cousins. I love this so much It’s a very comforting, the orange blossom is the star of the show with a ton of powdered sugar on top. It layers beautifully with Kilian’s Love Don’t Be Shy or Fakhama. You really have to love orange blossom snd sweet scents to enjoy this.

This is everything I hoped LDBS and Oriana would be. For years, I've been searching for a super feminine, fluffy, powdery gourmand that isn't cloying, or overly vanilla/fruity/musky/bakery-like. I found her at last! Sweet but not tooth-achingly so, beautifully rounded out by the powderiness without being massively powdery itself. Just enough to make it soft and fluffy. Vanilla, floral and musky without being any particular one of those, this is just a beautiful, easily wearable blend of all three that really does illicit a 'mmmm...what smells so good??' response. Highly huggable and will have people sniffing you for more.

oooh i love this one so much! this was my first designer perfume bought with my own money, and reminds me of being fourteen and pretending you were twenty. it's quite a mature scent, which to me was unusual, as it is still quite sweet. it smells like a memory of sitting on your grandma's lap, sucking on candy from a tin. it's very powdery, and i can definitely smell the caramel and vanilla, as well as some vague floral and fruity notes. whenever i wear this i get compliments, and people can smell it from at least a metre away! it is a little overpriced, but i'm very willing to pay for it.

I love this scent so much, smelling on paper at first I wasn’t convinced but on skin I had a completely different experience. When I first spray it I pick up on the raspberry and geranium with the iris following shortly after. As it dries it becomes less floral and turns sweet and powdery and the vanilla begins to show up and persist along side the raspberry. It reminds me of those little candy hearts that you would get in elementary school on Valentine’s Day. I would recommend for someone that likes something sweet but not necessarily gourmand.

Very pleasant! Definitely a tuberose/Jasmine combination, with an almondish undertone, and a rounded iris note.. .nicely done, a bit sweet, not overdone, I don't detect any patchouli..lit reminds me of Hypnotic Poison eau Sensuelle, in the almondish plasticky smell.. This isn't a strong scent , it has a lovable creamy edge , this is a feminine floral creation ! Longevity is real good... It has a warm sweet aura, it isn't like anything new, but I like the warm cozy floral vibe...now if you dislike tuberose, this might not work for you .

The first time I tried it, I wasn’t a fan it smelled medicinal, and I picked up on a hint of licorice. But today, I gave it a proper test and wore it out. I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE. The opening is a beautiful blend of raspberries and florals, followed by a heart of creamy vanilla and caramel, and it finishes with the comforting warmth of sandalwood. Something about this scent takes me back to my childhood. it’s so happy and comforting . The experience was unexpectedly emotional for me. It lasted 7-8 hours and stays close to the skin,

Beautiful!!!! Gorgeous raspberry!!! The best raspberry perfume I've ever had the pleasure of smelling!!! It's fabulous!! So sweet and juicy and full and ripe and real!! Beautiful sandalwood, gorgeous vanilla, sparkling orange blossom, fragrant tuberose and jasmine, lovely gentle patchouli and divine musk and heliotrope.........absolutely heavenly perfume!!!! It lasts so well too, 14 hours! Loads of yummy compliments, and my husband loooooves it!!! Beautiful!!!!! And I love wearing it to bed too!!! Sweet dreams!!!!

I absolutely love this. Love the raspberry forward feminine and sexy opening all the way through to the vanilla, powdery dry down with hints of lilac and tuberose. To me it is feminine, unique, and overwhelmingly sexy. If you love those bold jasmine and vanilla heavy fragrances like alien, hypnotic poison, angel... you will ADORE this! I also think it has a unique clean girl element in the dry down which would suit a range of people even if you weren't into bold scents. It's gorgeous, 10/10 for me.

This was love at first smell, I literally said mmmm when I smelled it, and it goes so well with my skin, smells great from the first second till hours later. at first it's like sweet bubble gum but just enough sweet not to be repulsive, later it turns to a nice floral/powdery smell and dries down to caramel with a hint of patchouli. I see people compare it to Hypnotic poison, to me they're not even similar, but it does remind me of something I had before and now it bothers me that I can't remember.

There's a reason this has been my signature scent for years. This scent is often compared to Hypnotic Poison and although I can acknowledge they are similar, I am of the unpopular opinion that Mmmm... is miles better. The playdough notes in Mmmm... are much subtler and the raspberry note is noticeable and discernable but not overpowering. The dry down leaves behind a classy, mature, and slightly sensual scent which is perfect for a date or a night out. My favorite scent of all time!

This perfume works so well on my skin. I keep smelling my wrists. It’s a beautiful mixture of vanilla, raspberries, caramel and white flowers. It smells like the most delicious dessert, but also reminds of getting the most relaxing massage at the same time. Very addictive. If only it would be a bit more concentrated (it sits very close to my skin), or would last longer (within 2 hours it’s completely gone).

Listen! DO NOT read the reviews, try it on your skin. All JHAG perfumes are made to work with some people's chemistry, and are absolutely abominable with other people's chemistry. On me - all of them are pure perfection. T ried all of them on my boyfriend - smelled like cat piss. It's not the perfume, it might be you. If you don't like it, give it to someone else and make them happy. Happy holidays! ⛄

I’m so upset this was the only ‘Juliette Has A Gun’ perfume I could find from Sephora because after smelling it, I now want to try the rest of the brand. When I first sprayed it, it smelled so nice and unique, I couldn’t put my finger on the notes at all (which I think is part of the uniqueness of the ‘Juliette’ brand). It quickly dried down to a lovely cherry note, not medicinal at all.
