Not A Perfume Superdose

I might just actually make this my signature scent. I’m seriously DEBATING within myself to do it. I used to and still do love sweet intoxicating scents like Azzaro MW parfum, one million elixer, le male, jpg elixer those type of sweet scent. Scents like the ones I just mentioned would be the only scents I’d spray on most of the time I go on about with my day. But ever since I went on vacation to NY and visited stores we dont have in in my city here in Canada. I went into the Le Labo store and fell in love with another 13. After i got a full bottle of another 13 I realized I need to find something similar but cheaper as I really want to spray like 14-17 times of this scent, but another 13 is close to 500$ here after taxes. I went easy on the sprayer with another 13 and fell in love even more that I need to get a cheaper alternative . So I got amber musk by montale and that one in my opinion smelled very similar to another 13 just little more powdery but it lasted much more and it was 1/4 of the price. But I still wasn’t satisfied as after 2 hours I’d go completely nose blind to it or I feel it would just wear off me to where I don’t smell it another. Another 13 didn’t have amazing longevity but I could still smell it if I smelled my wrist. Then comes this not a perfume overdose by JHAG. I don’t know where to start as I think I have found the best one for me. This is absolutely amazing and in my opinion checked all the boxes for the best alternative to another 13. It has that Ambroxan/ambergris or wtv note it’s called. It also has most which is most important which is the longevity , if you spray it 10-12 times. And when time passes and you smell your wrist it’s still there. Oh my days this is intoxicating. I understand whenever people say they get this scent for layering, but me personally I spray this on by itself and let it speak for itself. I don’t wanna hide the masterpiece, I spray it on without any other fragrance to layer it with and I’m telling you guys this fragrance doesn’t just do what a regular fragrances does. This fragrance literally adds aura to you. Many people will smell like a fragrance, this doesn’t smell like a fragrance. It’s more of a vibe/energy you bring... I literally don’t know how to put it into words because for a lot of people they don’t even smell this because their nose doesn’t pick up the notes of ambroxan. But this fragrance isn’t even a fragrance, its a secret science potion in a bottle lol. Ima gatekeep this shi if someone asks and I don’t even care :) 10/10 masterpiece. EDIT UPDATE: Since I wrote this review on 1st March I had a full bottle, it’s now March 11. So 10 days past since I wrote the review and you will not believe the dent I did in the bottle already. I have already finished alittle more then half the 100ml bottle... I kid you not I have been spraying it before bed. After bed. Before work. After work. On my way to the gym. On my way back home from the gym. And even when I’m bored in the house I’ll do 4-5 sprays on each wrist. And after each daily shower. I have not been shy with the sprayer either as you could tell. But I’m happy that I already have two back up bottles coming in. It’s safe to say I’m fully ADDICTED to this shi... but at least it’s an addiction that makes me feel special and makes me smell good🤣🤷🏽trust you needa get this. I’m saying it on fragentica but if someone asks in person...I’m gatekeeping 🤐

I imagine that this is what an android from any Ridley Scott project would smell like. I started by getting a discovery set with the travel size sample of the original Not A Perfume and a sample of this with a few others in their collection. Like most people, I really didn’t know what to think at first. And it honestly didn’t matter too much for me because I had always intended on using it as a primer for my signature scent (Ani) - Cut to me smelling a spot on my arm that I only sprayed Superdose on.. I loved it. I truly do like the original Not A Perfume, but there’s something about this.. It’s a little wet and kind of seductive to me. Musky, but so clean. Obviously synthetic, and done so right. I’m an Aquarius, so smelling like a Replicant is a cool concept to me. I love wearing it when I know I’m going to sweat. It opens up in a beautiful way and I cannot get over it. I don’t project a ton, but my sillage is very much there. I’ve been told that without having seen me, people know I’m in the building because they walk through my scent trail. I always read the article associated with the fragrance when I’m deep diving into a scent and this one was described as being kind of like Superman’s cape flowing behind you, and I couldn’t agree more. If I’m moving fast enough, I can catch a bit of my own sillage when I abruptly stop (haha) it’s a fun occasional treat. And in case you’re wondering, the Not a Body oil, lotion and shower gel are so so worth it as well. They take the entire experience to another level.

About 5–6 years ago, I bought an oil-based perfume in Turkey that was meant to replicate Escentric Molecules 02. Interestingly, it didn’t smell exactly like the original — it was somewhere in between Molecule 02 and its more “escentric” interpretation - Escentric 02. And sometimes, these kinds of "clones" can be even more intriguing than the original itself. I treasured that small bottle. I used it sparingly because it gave me a very specific sensation I couldn’t find anywhere else — that sharp, slightly sour “lemonade” effect sitting on top of a crisp, mineral ambroxan base. That’s exactly what I love about Molecule 02 at its best. Once the iris starts to peek through and things turn powdery, it becomes something different — beautiful, but no longer about that bright, acidic citrus sparkle. I was searching for a fragrance that would recreate that very specific profile without success... and then I found Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume Superdose. Despite being built around a single Cetalox molecule, on my skin it develops into exactly that long-lost scent: a sharp, mineral citrus impression with that addictive “crystalline sour freshness” I had been chasing for years. This is it. No more searching... for me, but be sure to try before buy as I never read from someone else here about similar olfactive experience - probably this is very personal.

This scent is a staple on my vanity. I am anosmic to the original formula and I truly appreciate that you can DETECT this. That said, a spritz on the wrists and walking through a spray or two in the air, you will catch hints of it on yourself all day. It has an animalic raw attraction edge to it like nothing else I've ever smelled. It is intoxicating. It adds depth to anything else you wear with it (and it is a statement when worn by itself). Lately my favorite thing has been to consistently use Superdose as a finishing touch and change out which other lighter perfumes/mists/sprays I pair with it first, depending on my mood/the weather/whatever. Lighter citrusy/beachy/green scents in hot weather, complex-yet-cozy spicy/musk/vanilla scents in cooler temps. Feeling moody? Feeling girly? Superdose will truly go with everything. It's a big compliment-getter for me. One of my friends specifically hunted me down and needed to know what I was wearing! I almost feel like it's as if I'm spraying on a sexy pheromone, but not in that annoying-teenage-boy-overdoing-his-body-spray way. When you wear this correctly, it is a cocoon of mesmerizing scent that leaves a gentle trail ❤️ I feel like adding Superdose as a finishing touch makes whatever scent combo I'm wearing that day smell like me!

I blind bought this only because I found it at less than 50% off and I thought it was going to be an immediate write-off based on the review on here. I own Another 13, M01 and M02. Adore A13 and M02; M01 I don't enjoy at all, it is very sharp and all I get are pencil shavings. I tried JHAG NAPS on it own and also comparing it to A13 (one on each wrist). It's an absolute love. The opening is very alcoholic but, being familiar with molecular fragrances, I know this is to be expected. Those who judge a fragrance based on the first two seconds should keep their ignorance to themselves and perhaps refrain from giving opinions. There is no burned rubber, no dentist chair or hospital vibes. On me, this is a softer, slightly less sharp version of Another 13, however, it lasts just as long if not longer. It is woody, the iso e super is definitely there but very pleasant and inoffensive. In the deep dry down, Another 13 turn a bit salty, whereas NAPS stays sweet(er). The longevity and projection are impressive. Not sure why so many people say it is eternal on fabric, my experience is the exact opposite. In any case, if you like Another 13 but look for a more affordable, every day option, definitely give this a go.

My customer had this on very heavily and I HAD TO ask what she was wearing -I rarely do that actually. The thing that I liked about this, was that this have something similar to the beloved discontinued Michael Kors Midnight Shimmer in it. I’m desperately trying to find a dupe for that. Although they sound completely different they both have the same dna -Superdose is just way lighter and more fresh. If you put on ALOT of it, then it can be strong, but couple of sprays, pretty fresh yet it has that depth in that I love. Reason why I haven’t purchased this one yet, is exactly that. This is pretty expensive and I’d have to put this on alot to make it like I want. Coclusion: love this scent! Please tell me if you have any recommendations for a dupe! Update: Purchased it and its one of my signatures now. Its a really nice perfume to have, you can mix it with various different body mists and perfumes as well. If you like to smell classy, yet unique, fresh but still a little musky, I like to combine this with Calvin Klein musk body mist (mint green bottle). I just simply love the dna this has. Although it is very much a love it or hate it kinda dna. Not a safe blind buy!

I was not expecting to love this so much!! When I tested this at sephora, I sprayed it on the back of my hand and could not smell much at all. About 20 minutes later as I’m pulling out of the parking lot, I start getting whiffs of a subtle, woody, iso e super type scent and knew right away it was Ms Juliette finally starting to show out! I usually go for more loud, in your face, powerhouse sillage type of scents but lately I’ve been enjoying “subtle but long lasting” and this definitely hits the mark for me! It can be great for layering or on its own, and it LASTS, especially on clothes. I sprayed this on my shirt before bed and woke up 8 hours later and it’s still very present on my shirt. I’m one of those people where this doesn’t smell super strong to me so I definitely overspray this one and I feel like it’s fine since it’s so subtle, but I know other people describe it as strong and only use a few sprays. To each his own, but this is an amazing option for people who prefer more of a subtleness to their perfume experience. Also this is one of the best atomizers I have experienced on a perfume bottle!

This is such a fun polarising fragrance! I love it! To me it smells warm, clean, little peppery, amber, skin musky loveliness. How you’d want your clean skin to smell. Neutral enough for everyday wear. But still kinda sexy and flirtatious. Reminds me a lot of Æther Xtreme. Which is another lovely unisex fragrance. If I huff this immediately after spraying I can see why some say rubbing alcohol and burning rubber. But that dissipates within 15 seconds for me at most. Just like many other perfumes you just need to give it a quick second to dry down. I don’t quite get why people say it’s so pungent or long lasting. Not pungent on me at all. Which is saying something because I’m sensitive and not an over sprayer! I used three sprays and it wasn’t very strong. Similar to REPLICA. I wish this had more of a punch actually. Which is why it’s so funny how different peoples experiences are with this fragrance! For example a simple fruit floral from Escada or Burberry could make me gag with just one spritz. But this to me is cosy and mild!

Strong, fresh, clean, and delightfully amber-scented. I don't usually leave reviews, but after reading everyone's opinions, I just felt like I had to. Honestly, a few of these were quite shocking to me. I didn't smell the burnt tires, gasoline, rubber, sweat, body odor, or any of the other super creative descriptions that are borderline gross and repulsive. Due to the mixed reviews, it's only safe to assume that this perfume is extremely dependent on skin chemistry. I'd also argue that this is for the bold and unapologetically original – not everyone's cup of tea. Superdose isn't your standard, basic ambery fragrance. It is strong and long lasting but not overwhelming. It has character due to its minimal, chemically modern style. Smells comforting and soft, slightly warm and sweet. Safe for daily wear and definitely a compliment catcher in my case. I can't lie to you; this isn't your average fragrance, but it doesn't smell as extreme or odd as some make it out to be.

I am one of these people that love fresh fragrances. As a person that previously owned Le Labo - Another 13 which I really liked, I wanted to get something similar, without having to spend a fortune. The last time I had Another 13 was in July 2023 and I hadn’t smelled it since. I was doing a bit of online research to find a good alternative and then came JHAG Not a perfume Superdose. My first thought was “it’s nice, I can smell some similarities but it also smells different”. It is a very nice, fresh, woody all day, every day fragrance. It’s a fragrance you want to wear in the morning to feel energised and ready to tackle everything coming your way. It’s a fragrance that even if you wear it at 8am in a jam packed tube, people will pleasantly smell it. The woody scent of Cetalox makes it a nice evening scent after a very hot summer day. I can now say that I prefer JHAG NAP Superdose to Le Labo Another 13.

I absolutely love this scent, even though I am one of those who only smell it vagely. But I guess that might add to the appeal for me - the elusiveness of it. I just can't get enough! On the other hand that is also a bit risky... I want to completely drench myself in it. And kind of did so this morning. I hardly notice it my self, but people around me certanly do! Some of my colleagues say that I leave a super strong trace after me. And they do not say it with delight... My perception of Not a Perfume Superdose is a soft, addicitve, close to skin scent with warm woody notes in it. I can sort of detect the rubber there, but not burnt, and only in a pleasant way. I wish my nose could pick ut Cetalox better. Or more. The same with ISO Super E, wich I am almost completely nose blind to.

This is a fragrance I will continue to repurchase till my death bed. Even in my casket I want to be sprayed in this one last time lol. It’s 1000 times better than the original one. Extremely long lasting to the point where I’ve had multiple people say they could smell me on them later the next day just from 1 hug. This fragrance for me smells like the sweet smell of your body after doing the deed, and I mean that in the cleanest and best way possible! If pheromones were captured into a bottle, this is the fragrance ! It’s never not gotten me a compliment when I’m out on the town. It’s such a special signature scent worthy fragrance. I can’t believe more people don’t talk about it. If I could only recommend 1 fragrance out of my entire collection, this is without a doubt the one.

This is my favorite scent of all time, this is going to be my signature scent for the rest of my life. I own the body oil, the bar soap, the hand cream, and I've gone through two of the regular not a perfume and one of the superdose. I receive endless compliments wearing this perfume, I am told I fill up a room but not in an unpleasant way, I leave my scent behind on clothes, seatbelts, and other daily wears that people will smell and they have told me it lingers and they think of me and it's always good thoughts. I will die wearing this scent, I will be buried wearing this scent, and hopefully I will either be reborn or enter heaven wearing this scent 😻 I love not a perfume superdose and this is the only scent I have ever gone out of my way to repurchase.❤️

Hated it when I first received it. It was sharp like a razor blade, too woody, too earthy, too loud, too much of everything and smelled like dirty mud. I kept trying it for over a month, I would spray it out just to see if something changed. And today was the day! I even think I might love it 😮 The sharpness is gone, like really gone and all I can smell is a calm somewhat fresh but warm light driftwood. It’s almost gentle and even sweet. Like a warm skin wrapped in a cashmere blanket. This is the biggest scent change I have experienced so far and I am sooo happy about it! Hope it doesn’t change on me again 😀 It’s now very similar to Zarkoperfume Molecule 234.38, just less sweet and with a better performance.

Compared to the regular (this one I can smell) it is much woodier/deeper than the regular version is green/fresh. Wasn’t sure of my stance on it at first but the more I wear it the more it grows on me. I feel like its so neutral that when I cant decide what to wear in the morning its a perfect choice. Really nice staying power and would honestly buy this I just hate loathe JHAG’s bottles :’( might have to just keep buying the 8oz spritzer. EDIT, this is now one of my favorite perfumes to layer with Floating by Liis. The superdose is hugely better than the regular, but Urban Outfitters has a great dupe for this called Skin if the price point feels inaccessible. Shower in a bottle for adults.

I think it’s safe to say that this is my first perfume that I’m obsessed with. I’ve almost gone through my 7.5 oz in 2 weeks. It lasts through anything I wear over it, and I’m not mad about it. It is the perfect cool, clean, skin scent on me. I totally understand how this could smell different on everybody, but it feels like MY fragrance. I spray it before I go out, and smell it on myself when I wake up in the morning, and it just makes me happy. Just got another 7.5 for travel, but waiting to treat myself to a full bottle on my birthday in less than a month.

one of my staples. for me it truly smells like my clean skin but x100. my bf doesn’t like it, for him smells like burnt plastic. my mom HATES it with a passion, she says it smells like a muscle ointment and maybe she isn’t wrong bc I have smelled this exact same scent on some guys at the gym (or maybe they’re wearing this +100€ perfume to the gym... lmao). some people can’t grasp the smell at all... go to the store and test it on you own skin, if you like it you’ll LOVE it. you can layer it, you can wear it alone. it’s cozy, it’s comforting. one of my faves!

Wow wow wow. I have been waiting for a perfume like this. Is it groundbreaking, no. However, if you are looking for a layering perfume or a perfume to wear when you can’t decide what to put on, this is the one. I have tried the original edp, but it disappeared on my skin. This is a beautiful perfume you can wear on any occasion and I get compliments wearing it on its own. I will always repurchase this as when you wear it you have the perfect combination of being simple, clean, sexy and mysterious. A staple in your perfume collection!

I’ve been wearing this perfume nearly every day for over 2 years now. Given its intensity I would say it offers quite the bang for your buck (I usually use just 2-3 sprays at a time). Its simplicity makes it the perfect scent to layer with my other perfumes if I want to smell a touch more complex. Definitely the kind of perfume you test first before buying, it is NOT for everyone! I’d also recommend testing it on the skin rather than a paper strip, it smells way different. So unique, I really like simplicity like this.

This is a strange but interesting fragrance. Everyone around me seems to drawn to this like it has its own gravitational pull. Up close it has a chemical woody scent base, but wafts drifting at arms reach or farther make it a compliment grabbing bright crisp woody powerhouse. Do not underestimate its projection and silage. I’m getting 8-10 hours easy when applied I actually couldn’t wash it off it’s that strong. I also have a firm feeling this would make an amazing fragrance to layer with. Be well
