Romantina

Unexpected Signature How it ever came to be so, I do not know. Romantina doesn't WOW, not on the first spray, not on the fiftieth. It's not polarizing in any way. I doubt you will find vehement lovers or haters. Originally I was neither. I thought Romantina VERY pretty, but....well, that's it. I was wrong. She snuck up on me while I wasn't looking, sat down and offered a lovely companionship throughout my day. Before I knew it, I had taken her up on her offer, reaching for Romantina more often than not. I find the composition rather linear, subtle, a little bit of a wallflower actually. I'm not quite sure I would describe it as romantic, more of a dear friend. For me, Romantina is only four notes...vetiver, musk, cetalox and the X-factor found only in JHaG fragrances. The florals... rose, iris, tuberose, orange blossom, which are sprinkled throughout this beauty, are lost on me. ME, an admitted flower girl. I guess I didn't need them. The vetiver and the musk in the casually feminine framework prove to be plenty. It remains close. Not overwhelming in any way. It's not a compliment getter. Romantina is for you. What can I say to convince you to give Romantina a try? I've already said it won't WOW you and that's true. It will, however, remind you to smile throughout your day. It'll remind you how beautiful the little things are, kind gestures, even the comfort of a routine. This Juliette didn't have a gun, she had a gift for me. An unexpected but much needed gift of simplicity.

Wearing this today and enjoying it very much. It's a clean sexy musky perfume that reminds me very much of the pink NR EDP , it's a white creamy floral with loads and loads of different musks , clean and animalistic at the same time ,it gives you a "right out of the shower feel" as well as a sexy musky slightly skin sour tangy dirty scent that also brings Kiehls musk to mind , mind you Romantina is much better and besides it resembling NR it also reminds me of my childhood and my mother but I am not sure why it transferee me to Austria to our summmer house in the mountains. Is it the blooming trees there? The fresher air ? The soaps we had there ? Could it be the sunscreen we used ? Or a combo of all of the above but it sure brings those memories back. Some of the best ones of my life. In addition I love the name Romantina Nettoyants review is spot on. Went to top shelf ! Very sexy perfume. Absolute love for me. Lays between dirty skin and clean skin. Very slept in yet clean. Reminds me of the smell after sex. But better. ....so I googled the notes again and no wonder it reminds me of sex. It has casterum as one of the notes which is considered ; wild , animalistic,bodily,lustful and secretion like. Well, so there , I am not going crazy this scent is down right sexy to me. Also the story about this perfume is about two strangers having a sexual encounter and then parting their ways going back to their cities and life ,,,

I just got this delivered today and I'm just so excited to share my thoughts! My batch 186B18098 was from 2018, although its been 7 years, thankfully the juice had no change and it's still smelling... normal. My initial thought: yes it does have some resemblance to Narciso For Her EDP but while that's too strong and sharp on initial spray, Romantina started out soft and delicate. It is musky, those who love musky scents will love this! It's rose without being super ultra feminine. It has a certain edge to it but tame enough to be considered ladylike. I find this luxurious. I've been to shops where they sell luxury Abayas and their fabric smells somewhat like this. How some people say this is common is beyond me. This is uncommon. In an era where everything has to be vanilla/caramel to be able to sell, this hits different but yet refined and classy. It also smells like Lazy Sunday Morning and that's one of my all-time fave. It's discontinued but i'm glad i chose this. A successful blind buy.

Just received my sample pack in the mail! Gorgeously packaged and came super fast, cheers to JHAG on that! To be fair, I’m going to give each frag a few days before reviewing but at first sniff Romantina seems to be only truly wearable scent for me, hands down. The others seem strange, loud & synthetic. Maybe I’m biased because I love NR for Her and I can definitely smell a touch of Narciso in Romantina. Unlike NR for Her however, it’s light so if you love musky white florals, work in an office and its summertime you can definitely wear this without having to worry about gassing co-workers & fellow commuters away (which is more than I can say for the other JHAG's..). The musk used here is more innocent smelling vs. ‘hot-sweaty-sex’ musk..which I do rather like, just not for work or hot days. Romantina is smooth, creamy, warm, musky, clean & “safe”. I like it. Didn't rock my world or anything..but for a self professed one-nighter it's pretty good...I'd even let her stay for breakfast.

An absolutely intoxicating beauty! When I smell this perfume, I feel like I'm standing in an old school cigar shop with dark, wooden antique furniture that is adorned with vases of red roses. On my skin, the vetiver emits a glorious bitter chocolate and smoke facet, like the leaves of an expensive, hand rolled cigar. The scent of the rose is ripe and aromatic. The musk accord is musty and vanillic. The aura of ROMANTINA is romantic and elusive; it perfectly captures the story behind the perfume. I also love the presentation and how all of the JHAG fragrances have the same canister type bottle. I do spray this perfume liberally because the longevity is not very strong and I want it to last all day. With 6+ sprays, this fragrance will endure for around 7 hours but the sillage is very close to the body.

Usually, I find that "pretty" is a negative adjective when it comes to perfume. But, oh my, this takes pretty to a whole new level. Dirty, musky soap. Lush pink roses. White silk. Velvety tonka. Powdery iris dipped in honey. A bit of castoreum to make it so addictive. Smokey vanilla. Dusk in Rome. This is an impressive creation. It captures romance and mystery and both open skies and boudoirs. It's both satin and velvet and I swear there's some sandalwood in it, somewhere. Along with lily of the valley. I could easily love Romantina. But. The longevity and the sillage are breaking my heart. It makes me genuinely sad how I can barely smell it after an hour. I've been trying hard to justify the price but it's not working.

I'm testing Romantina right now. Immediately after spraying I was punched by an incredibly strong soap note. It was really off putting to me, but I decided to ride on. About 5 mins later... Hey, wait...! It turned into an absolutely gorgeous summer skin scent. Such a clean musk, such an elegant bergamot, such a beautiful subtle rose -strange because my nose usually rejects rose, but I love this one... Yes, yes, yes!!! I bought this bottle for my mother, in an attempt to find a replacement for her beloved Narciso Rodriguez EDT, and found this even better. There's a sillage issue, I agree with previous reviewers. But she's an oversprayer, so it won't be a problem here. Great frag.

Where do I start? This fragrance house is new to me. I have read the reviews and the press hype - so I was hopeful. Well, my new crush is Romantina. I am not one to shy away from powerful scents and this fragrance is like a quiet, stealth assassin! It's white floral, woody and rose notes blur to unexpected chords. I love it. I can't stop sniffing my wrist. My husband is intoxicated by it. I want to wear it. I am excited by it. It begins with a burst of white floral and rose, slowly warming down to a woody, delicious scent. It's going to be a fragrance that I will use as my secret weapon. To take people unawares, leaving them merciless in my wake!

I actually haven't used this so much - yet. Probably because I have so many fragrances; and, of course, that it has been winter until now. Bought this last summer, and it is a VERY nice spring and summer perfume!! Not too strong - soft and powdery, like a childhood memory of my sweet older sister, who has always cared for me a lot. She was usually the one giving me baths... But it is also very romantic. I like to wear this when I am close to my man, who I will stay with for always. When I don't need to be any sexier than he already thinks I am. I will buy a backup of this, if I can, before it is all gone!!

This was an unexpectedly good fragrance. At first I got the old lady smelling note some of the reviews talked about but it mellows down to this wonderful mix of florals. The patchouli in the background doesn’t smell as in your face as Chanel fragrances do. If you ever had those scented stationery papers as a kid/teenager it’s a bit reminiscent of that but in a pleasant way. What was surprising is that it left a scent trail that turned heads with 5 sprays. It becomes a skin scent after 4 hours. One of my very successful blind buys and I’m contemplating of getting the 100ml bottle before it’s gone.

I tried this interesting fragrance recently....mmm...smelt pleasant from opening to dry-down! A well balanced feminine scent that lasted for ages on the back of my hand - really held its strength. Romantina evokes images of stunning Juliette toting a milky rose coloured vintage 'Toy' pistol fully loaded with this intoxicating scent of which she randomly squirts into the atmosphere to her hearts content... Edit: This is nowhere near as refined as Citizens Queen which I happen to love. It has that typical harsh smell that overpowers any interesting notes hence turned out to be a real scrubber!

So I LOVE this 🥰 it’s unintentionally soft, alluring. If this was a sound it would be a soft wisp. Rose often times is too green for my nose. But this smells more like a scented rose powder. It’s purity in the simplest form. When I first spray it I do get the Lovely SJP of NR for her references, but as it sinks into your skin the castoreum (which comes from the unspeakables of a beaver) and musk make this indolic and a masterful contradiction of itself, as notated many times below.. The only draw back I’ll mention is lasting power.. If that were a sound it would be oommp wow:(😞

Musky, soft, subtly animalic scent with the spotlight on roses and orange blossom. It makes me think of a beautiful young woman on an early evening in Rome, her sandals pattering on a plaza's cobblestones. This fragrance is a perfect representation of the name it bears. Romantina is beautifully blended and one of my favourite Juliettes, smooth and elegant, flirty and fun and I must buy a full bottle as soon as possible! When I'm not wearing it, I crave it. It makes me feel uplifted. A perfect "summer dress" perfume.

One of the prettier and more delicate Juliette's. It really doesn't last long and doesn't project well. As if Juliette wore some delicate rose/iris/musk scent and her lover's vetiver rubbed off on her scarf from all the kissing.Definitely interesting - the vetiver accord really keeps this scent grounded and stops it from becoming too sweet and girly. To me it smells like edible flowers. A pretty scent and great introduction to perfume for younger customers. It would make a great gift for a 16 - 22 year old.

clean, soapy, cosmetic-y, soft ... without the aldehydes. easygoing rose, iris and orange blossom with soft fluffy musk and a hint of vetiver earthiness. just a hint. not obtrusive at all. when i first tried it , i got salty, metallic note from the iris. but somehow the scent grows on me, and with that, i detect the salty metallic note less (may be it was because of how i layer it with my lotion? i dont know). now, this bottle resides in my office for my afternoon perfume boost.

This is a love from me. At first spray, it is a sweet, turkish delight rose with a touch of bergamot, then the musk and tonka come through, with the iris. It is comforting, soft and warming. Yes, it has definite similarities with Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP (pink bottle) but I find the iris in this makes it distinctive. I also find it to have quite good longevity and sillage, which others have disagreed with. Maybe I got my hands on an older bottle!

Absolutely in love! This is a very subtle musk, slightly floral, yet clean; all notes are well underplayed which makes it perfect for the office. This scent always makes me feel as though I am in the English countryside, on a dewy and crisp early morning, walking through a flower garden, after a slight rain fall and the sun is just peeking out. Anyone else feel a deja vu with this fragrance?

I see Romano likes roses. When I sprayed the Romantina I thinked this is Citizen Queen's little sister: the rose is load with a smoky patchouli. And later the drydown is became a beautiful dry and warm woody-flowerly scent that is easy to wear. So I love Citizen Queen when I want to be a drama queen and I love Romantina when I want to be a beautiful, sophisticated woman. Recommented! Very ;)

It reminds me of the white, unsophisticated Safeguard soap bar. I loved that smell in my childhood. It's a clean, soapy, and linear white floral scent. As other JHAGs it opens a bit artificially chemical. Do not over spray. After the first few minutes, it softens up and becomes a lot better. Goes well in warm and hot days. Could appear too cold for winter.

Oh it challenges me so much! Sometimes it is just rose and powder, let’s say what Agent Provocateur could be. Sometimes it’s pure lilac, the flowers growing in my mother’s garden, during the rainy springtime, a long time ago. The delicate purple scent whispers about childhood in my ear. Sometimes it just disappears, a hollow, a ghost.

I love Romantina! It has a lot of slightly metallic rose in it which I adore! It is how my mums cosmetic drawer smelled. I can say it's similar a bit to Citizen Queen and NR. Roses, musk, nice vetiver. I keep getting drawn back to the paper strip again and again. Though, it isn't much original in my opinion.

Tested this as I got Not A Perfume and wasn’t a huge fan. I love love love Romantina - it’s powdery and soapy and smells clean and cosy. It doesn’t try too hard and lasts for ages I keep getting whiffs of it and I put it on 6 hours ago Reminds me of molecules and glossier you

This is a very beautiful scent. I don't smell orange but I definitely smell rose mixed with musk, then later it burns down to a nice sweet patchouli, which I believe is the vanilla. I would buy... To me the name should be Romantica...

Very interesting scent! Strong, confident and romantic at the same time. A little melancholic maybe. This is the scent of an interesting and intriguing story. Nice composition of white flowers and musk. Outstanding and elegant!

I absolutely adore this! It is so mysterious and beautiful. I have read that this doesnt last long on some, but for me it lasts hours. I sprayed it on my arm last night and can still smell it at 10am. Just Gorgeous!

Dry floral musk on salty skin. Subtle yet sultry. Pure, with just a faint hue of dirty. Woods, with a hint of uplifting citrus. Earthy and airy all at once. Beautiful. Versatile. And just a little bit narcotic.

Such a beautiful dirty powdery rose. I get a leather note, maybe the castoreum. Somehow reminds me of my beloved Emporio Armani She (Lei).

This was one of my most successful blind buys. Clean skin scent but a bit more warm and sweet. I really like it. It’s comforting.

Romantina is a musky floral fragrance. It’s soft and slightly powdery, but I personally don’t get a baby powder vibe like other reviewers. That being said, I love powdery perfumes and my tolerance for powdery notes is quite high, so that might be why this still smells bright and pretty to my nose. If I had to describe this perfume in one word, that would be it: pretty. Another thing that surprises me is how many people find this sexy. I’ve always felt that Romantina was borderline virginal, and has (no pun intended) filled a hole in my collection because of it. I tend to favour heavier fragrances, and always struggle to find fragrances for the summer time that I genuinely love. So far I’ve found Gypsy Water, Chanel no. 5 eau premiere, Miss Charming, and Romantina. I wear this when I want something that’s bright, easy to wear, and inoffensive. It’s a fragrance I’d wear on a warm summer day while strolling through the streets, or even on a first date. I suppose it does have that slightly animalic edge to it that a lot of Juliette has a Gun perfumes tend to have, but I personally find it quite subtle. It’s not the castoreum that’s running the show, but the flowers. I doubt that anyone specifically looking for an animalic fragrance would be satisfied with Romantina. I personally don’t like tuberose at all, and find the tuberose in this perfume to (thankfully) be very muted. Rather, it’s the roses and the iris I can detect the most on my skin. The orange blossom is there, but like the tuberose it's not too overpowering, which is always my concern when I see orange blossom listed in the notes. And of course, there's the musk. It gives it that little bit of edge, and saves Romantina from being just another pretty floral. Considering how light the fragrance is, I think the longevity is pretty good. It’s not gonna last 12 hours, but I find that I’m walking around in a sweet flowery cloud for around 5-6 hours when I wear this. If you like JHAG’s perfumes (I personally love most of them), I think you’ll like Romantina.

A delicately perfumed rose talc. Soft and musky, smooth and creamy. Heaps of pink rose petals and tonka bean. The opening is bright & white with a touch of fresh orange blossom, then sweet powdery rose, almond & musk lead to a luscious finale. A delectable melange of creamy vanilla, buttery iris, titillating tuberose & moreish musk. I wish this was a touch stronger, leaned a little less on the talc/iris/tonka side and contained far more (dirty/sweaty/dewy) musky floral. Sad and sorry state of affairs, though a lovely scent nonetheless. Very creamy and powdery - in an extremely gentle skin-close style. Edit: I found that Vengeance Extreme gives me exactly what I was looking for, which is Narciso Rodriguez on steroids, on fire - as a thick lava that ravages all within twenty metres, with balls the size of mountains, with all of the alcohol/water taken out - a vat of NR For Her boiled down to its finest, sludgiest, densest essence. So I can appreciate Romantina for being exactly the opposite. The Crisp, clean. The fluffy cloud and the clean cotton pyjama. (Though still slightly inclined to consider this as containing "too much tonka" upon closer inspection.) This is a beautifully gentle and powdery/creamy soft and smooth ice cream rose. A real beauty. Also, the rose and musky vanilla combo in this creates a lovely, slightly salty edge, like a touch of perspiration resting in the dip of a collarbone or cupid's bow.

I see that most people consider this as a white floral with musk. I love the orange blossom/musk combo! Nr EdT is a good example. Honestly while smelling Romantina from a tester I didn't notice all that musk. It smelled like a rose, a tamed version of Lady Vengeance, one of my faves. I wear Idylle which many people claim to be an overload of rose and I don't smell rose as dominant in Idylle. And it's not so similar to NR. I definetely need to test Romantina again and also having on my skin alone without the test mixup! It may be simpler than other scents, but if it is about orange blossom/musk it's exactly my cup of tea! Romantina means almost nothing in Italian (it sounds like "little romantic" to me) but it's a lovely name for a perfume!

I havent been in a LUSH store for a while, but this perfume remind me alot of that beautiful but strong blast of perfume you get from visiting one! It has a smooth and sweet scent, Romantina. Very lovely and fleeting. Yet it is very strong and you could easily overspray it. It does go from flower and musk to musk and wood on my skin. It last for maybe 4-6 hours and stays sweet and inviting until the very end. Yet somehow it reminds me of glue, which is not as romantic as the name suggest. I'd say its a modern musk, maybe? Very nice and soft, and strong. It will probably work very well on people who like musk and flower, and who dont mind being a little bit inviting on an every day basis.

This is a pretty scent. The rose really does not come through on me but the musk and orange blossom does. It came off very light and soft. I did not get any harsh smell from the dry down as others have commented. It just goes to show how different scents react with our individual chemistry. (I'm a firm believer in try before you buy!) This would be a nice daytime scent or something to wear to church on Sunday. I felt I had smelled it before or at least something very similar and I agree it smells like a Caress body wash. I like it but I don't think I'd buy a full bottle of it just because it is not unique enough for me.

Very musky, sexy, warm, clean diaper-ish (lol) animalic. An intimate fragrance that does, indeed, smell like you but better. It is subtle and has a nice, airy aura in the first hour or two, then dries very close to the skin in that dirty-clean sexy way. The musk in here is not like the sharp musk found in the Narciso rectangles to me. Also, it's interesting that this shares the cetalox note with Not a Perfume, which smells quite repulsive on me. I don't get much cetalox in this scent, it is tolerable. ETA: This is quite similar to Tom Ford's White Suede, but with a dose of (non-sweet) rose. I love both.

I'm a huge JHG fan...I adore citizen queen,I love lady vengeance and calamity j,I like miss charming very much...so unique scents (except maybe miss charming-it's very similar to Stella). And now this...Romantina.I'm a bit dissapointed.I can't say it's not a nice scent, but it's so...ordinary.There are so many perfumes out there similar to this, even though I can't name them exactly. What happened to the originality and the "unique"? I would spend the houndred dollars for the other JHG's (I actually did, for citizen queen :) ) , but this one doesn't worth it.

There is a familiarity and nostalgia with this scent. Reminds me of an old room where flowers have lived and died. Reminds me of clean sheets that have been stored in the linen closet where remnants of our body scent and detergent have mingled. Reminds me of my youth when we had no air conditioning. The smell of our freshly cleaned sweaty skin and laundered sheets would waft around us in the fan cooled air. Purchased a sample and occasionally use it when feeling nostalgic. It is not one I wear often but time will tell.

This is sweet, indolic, and musky. It's pretty and would be quite ordinary if it weren't for a milky undertone which, combined with the castorium, gives it a surprisingly corporeal feel. At first, that faint whisper of human/animal warmth and dirtiness slightly disturbed me because this scent hovers so close to conventional and virginal and yet, unsettlingly, isn't. But the odd tension makes this one more interesting to me than either clean florals or full-blown animalics. It's a thoughtful balancing act.

Opens with a burst of soft, violet-y florals and very modern aldehydes. I have to say that it's not as childish as one would expect from the name - it actually has some character and body - but, compared to other niche houses, this is still a very mild, moderate fragrance and very much in line with JHaGs that I've tried. Still, this is a nice soft floral over a woody, soapy base. One of the better ones from this house, I think.

This fragrance is very musky, soapy and earthy at the same time. The opening is quite unisex, even leaning bit masculine, and have a bit of a vintage feel to it. I don't sense any of listed flower notes beside a hint of iris. After sometime I smelt mostly patchouli with musk, with a slight animalistic note. This definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea. Might by nauseating. Lasted 6+h on the skin, so the longevity is good.

Rose and rose and rose skilfully blended with musk. Dry down is exactly like NR For Her(edp). Longevity is the same as NR For Her . The only difference is that NR has a very chemical start where Romantina starts like a bouquet of flowers. They are both pricey but in my opinion there is no big originality in Romantina except for the start and thus it is not worth the price tag.

I don’t quite like white florals, so the name and the bottle’s style put me off. But... never judge a book by its cover! Once I tried it, I became pleasantly surprised and wanted more and more of this intriguing perfume. It is similar to Habanita L’esprit, but sexier- and it leans masculine in the drydown which I quite like. My husband liked it on me, too.

A flash of freshness at the top spray leaves way to sweet florals over a base of musk. The dominant flower is the rose, but none the less the jasmine is so pretty added next to a dose of muguet and powdery iris. The combination is clean, soapy, soft. The dry down is a combination of gentle musky/powdery flowers. 7/10

I got my sample of this yesterday and I really love it. It's a sweet, warm white floral, I am not so great at picking individual notes, it's beautifully soft but long lasting and smells intoxicating! I think the floral notes are stronger than the musk notes. It's on to my want list.

this is a cold and earthy rose scent. it smells regal, like dusty castle surrounded by fields of roses, covered in snow. idk sounds stupid, but that's how it smells to me. oh and if you don't like patchouli/vetiver, you probably won't like this bc they are very prominent here.

I really hoped to like this, but all I could smell on my skin was an overpowering scent of rose, for about 4 hours. After that, it smelled pretty good. I could smell the orange blossoms, vetiver, and maybe the bergamot, put then it was gone.

Lovely and mild scent,maybe my favourite out of the J has a G`s. I get a natural and lovely lily of the valleytone,fresh vetiver,but not like in aftershaves ,and some lovely osmanthus and orange flowers. fresh and reminds me of spring!
