Coffeeze

To me, the opening is quite similar to Cacao Porcelana from Atelier Materi, but with a more prominend oud. That one is colder, austere, fine, while this is raw, warmer, bold. In the drydown, they are different and I think I prefer Cacao Porcelana for that smoother blend. But this one is not as linear/stiff and it has much better sillage and longevity.

This perfume is a mixture of coffee, oud and patchouli. Very modern. For night, more for a men (mature and with a lot of charisma!). The sillage and the longevity are strong to my skin. It is warm, very present, dark, ... You can try this brand with the discovery set. 7/10 "I transform the textures, the ingredients split, then recombine, stretched to the limit of the bearable. Opens up with a warm coffee hint (not a full-bodied coffee scent) and patchouli, some truly warming spices... Develops rather quickly and the coffee is then nowhere to be seen. After an hour, the oud starts peeking through - but this isn't the oud I know from other fragrances. It's milder, somewhat subdued by other woody/incense facets. I agree there is some rubber in the drydown, though, not very nice. But still, a pretty powerful fragrance, worth at least giving a try. Maybe because it's autumn and I'm desperately trying to get warm, but this somehow speaks to me.

Earthy, Woody, Dark Chocolate, Incense In the opening I get dark earthy chocolatey patchouli, a hint of coffee and some incense. In the heart a get earthy smoky woods, followed by a manky slightly sweet musk. I didn't expect to like this and I don't because this is my least preferred genre of perfumes, but for what it is, it's done well enough. I would find it alluring on a right sort of man.

In a line chock full of unabashed synthetic brews, Coffeeze actually looks like it contains lots of naturals but if you thought that makes for a realistic or even nice smelling fragrance...think again. Coffeeze is a hideous, olfactory assault and insult. The opening is like wow...this is interesting but then becomes and sweating, fettered, oud and patchouli abomination. It basically takes all the worst facets, awful rubbery patchouli, the mild skank of Laotian oud doesn't help proceedings, and then creamy tonka in the mix is just the catalyst needed to make something truly horrific. What grinds my gears the most?? NO COFFEE to speak of!!! Maybe there is? and that just adds to the problematic chords stuck by this bizarre perfume. Best forgotten. Who knows though? Some folks might love it?

The opening is For raw patchouli lovers. Where the rough earthy dusty animalic facets are accentuate by the coffee and musk notes but after that I think it's not pushed enough in this direction because the perfume stay to musky and round like if the good idea was tamed just before a dangerous non commercial territory. So at the end it's just an other musky patchouli with a poor weak performance...again for this price go smell better compositions in Frédéric Malle or Serge Lutens.

Very true to Guichard's style, heavy, synthetic, beast-mode screamer. If you want a slightly less obnoxious coffee patchouli scent, try Épices Exquises, although that one is also pretty loud. This one wore me down and put me in a bad mood until I was able to scrub it off.

I wore this in 90f afternoon and it was nice- didn’t feel like too much but I’ll say that the whole execution felt like a montale dialed down to a 5 because over the hours It went away but reappeared at the most random times as a skin scent which I was impartial to. Overall I can see this fitting into someone’s lifestyle who refreshes their sprays every other day and they have smaller moments of fragrancing themselves (like soaps, lotions, pomades,etc) between then. Regardless tho, the retail does not make sense- I’d go $115 at most and would likely just pay the extra 15% of that per ml to do a 10ml decant. This isn’t grabbing me like it should or staying in bystanders’ minds long after my departures. Oh and to add about the coffee - this was my exact sentiment: Chew and swallow a few popcorn jelly bean, then chew a couple coffee jellybeans and breathe out the nose whilst doing so. That’s the coffee in Coffeeze. It’s not a warm trail that makes you float off your feet it feels like a fog of condensed molecules engineered to communicate with your receptors instead of the soul. Still I liked it tho for what it is as a fragrance..
