I love 14 Hour Dream! A vanilla/patchouuli/iris root/saffron bomb. But I can’t help but feel that it reminds me instantly of something else I have smelled already. It’s a smoky, resinous, spicy, woody vanilla, like so many other fragrances on the market. This scent DNA is the most common scent profile of go to fragrances for cold seasons. It’s very easy going and mass appealing, if you’re into a spicy, patchouli vanilla fragrance. You probably own this with slight variations, I definitely do! It’s beautifully done, well balanced between the notes, smooth, strong but with a minimal sillage. The part that shocked me the most. Being composed around so many heavy duty ingredients, I was expecting something to be the type of fragrance you can smell before you see me coming. I love it for the way it smells, I like it for the way it performs, I don’t like it for being so expensive, therefore I would not consider getting a full bottle of 14 Hour Dream. It does smell similar to many other niche fragrances on the market in 2024, and there’s nothing about it making it outstanding. To give credit where credit is due, this perfume was launched nearly 10 years ago, in 2016, so probably back then this DNA wasn’t as mainstream as it is nowadays! I don’t have or smelled any of the fragrances in the reminds me of section, but I am reminded instantly of something else that I have: Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli 64 by Kayali but a more refined blend. But for someone new to fragrances, 14 Hour Dream would be an awesome addition to their collection for cold weather.

Saw it in Selfridges, London first. Lovely packaging and makes my heart beat faster as a vinyl freak (it has a vinyl record atop the top cap). Nice juice! Love the strong vanilla base and sandalwood/ cedar framework. However, the initial burst of saffron, ginger, iris, et al evaporates far too quickly and the main chorus is sung by vanilla, cedar and sandalwood. It is not ground-breaking and you have most likely smelled something similar like this before. But it is the overall package and the packaging that really sells the juice. The juice is good but not great. There is so much more superior product out there and personally at £150 (if I remember correctly) I would expect better. Verdict: 5/10 for juice as it is very sweet and the vanilla is too dominant, not allowing other notes to come through. It turns smelling cheap after 30 minutes. Packaging: 10/10. They really nailed that part.

If I’m not mistaken this is the Floyd/67 festival one? I’ve gotta say...way to capture that vibe. This has a hippy dippy vibe to it from a patchouli bias but that’s not the whole story by any stretch, the sweetness and rounded body, accented by vanilla and sandalwood. It’s a grievous fragrance with a good heart and ties in with the darker 90’s grunge one. This has more Optimism about it, as did the 60’s (if you don’t count the wars and the civil unrest!) and this is more representative of the free love and musical revolution. It’s not psychedelic or wacky though and the drydown might be a little ordinary but I enjoyed the ride.

First let me say this can be worn by anyone! Such a beautiful patchouli fragrance. Powdery and soft. the vanilla really smooths it out. I can detect every note in this. The orris comes out more in the dry down on my skin. Funny I get even a bit of fruity/ floral in this. This is not a sharp patch at all. I will be wearing this a lot in the winter months. Woodiness comes through once settled. I really want to try more from this house. 14 Hour Dream is definitely a favorite 10/10

  • em inglês

I can see the music reference here - patchouli is strong with this one. Psychadelic... Not so much. Unless you count a slightly medicinal ginger note for the first hour. Still, this is a very pretty fragrance for fall-winter, a bit edgy, but very wearable. The lingering patchouli/vanilla note can be felt even on the next day on clothes and hair.

This is lovely. The vanilla really stands out but not in a bad or imposing way. there's a definite 70's rocker stuffiness to it. A leather jacket hung on the back of a chair in a opium smoke filled rehearsal room kind of vibe. It's stuffy, druggy, leathery, vanilla, woody goodness. It's how I imagine Jim Morrison would have smelled

  • em inglês

Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, in this order. It's a patchouli I can get behind, more fresh than dirty and moldy. Smooth woody base...overall it leans masculine to me. A bit of a hippie open air festival vibe. A like but would not wear it.

This perfume is an absolutely brilliant amber. If you love patchouli and vanilla, get this. I am sorry, but this is better than Amouage's Material. This is so smooth and refined.

  • em inglês

Woody Vanilla - Similar to Mugler A*Men Pure Wood but more powerful and sexy

I absolutely hate anything iris or orris related but it's amazing in this. It's the only scent I can identify without looking but it's sweet as candy and somebow both countered and complimented perfectly. It smells more electric than powdery. It's linear but multifaceted so you never get to concentrate on any individual scent. One moment it smells warm, the next minty, then sweet, then leathery. It's constantly changing from the moment you first spray. It gives it an electric or effervescent fizzy quality. It does have a funkiness to it somewhat reminiscent of a concert crowd although in reality would be an extremely welcome fragrange at a concert irl, also this like the rest of the scents in this fragrance and is not something you can smell for longer than half a second. I got a discovery box of 4 7.8ml bottles and expected to like this the least. I had planned to give it to a friend before smelling it but it's now one of my favourites from this brand.

First things first, the presentation of Jusbox fragrances is really good; from the box to the heavy crystal bottle, and of course this is the same for 14 hour Dream. 14 hour Dream is dominated by vainilla, from beginning to end. In the beginning the sweetness of vanilla is somewhat balanced by the saffron and ginger notes, and then by the orris and the pepper notes. So, it's vanilla but not really sweet. I really love the dry down, as I wrote, the vanilla note is always there, but mixed with the cedar, guaiac and sandalwood on my skin it's almost like an incensy vanilla (even if incense is not one of the notes). All in all I love this fragrance. It lasts forever on my skin and sillage goes from strong to moderate to skin scent as time goes by, but it's always there. Totally unisex.

This one is a RIDE. Someone has to say it -- happy to be that someone: the drydown of this smells like private parts. Not even necessarily sex, but like I feel like people who make a fortune on the internet selling their underwear could spray them w this to save some time and ship 'em right off. All of that to say of course, this is a smell that though quite carnal, is still a good one. Opens much sweeter than it dries. The opening in fact, reminded me even a bit of something caramelly and patchouli-ish like Akro Dark (but less smokey), and a little more turned up that Bewitching Yasmine, with something a touch indolic like Cairo. This was part of a bigger order where I got 7 different samples, and this was the most intriguing to me.

  • em inglês

At first I get a bourbon/ whiskey aroma that eventually dries down to expose the sandalwood and vanilla flower. The ginger, saffron, and black pepper are visible in the scent and offer a unique warm spicy element. I'm surprise to not see Jazz Club in the "this reminds me off" section. Although Jazz club is far more smokey the spice elements and vanilla notes are similar. With the dry down I'm now also smelling the Iris Butter (not listed here as a note, but is in fact a note) which makes me love this scent more.

  • em inglês

Very pleasant! Big like. Nothing unique however. This is a less refined version of Ivory Route/Material. It’s an incensey, creamy vanilla backed by patchouli and smooth sandalwood. It’s similar to Ivory Route but less spicy. I’m not impressed because I’ve smelt this DNA before. However, this is a very nice fragrance. There's also a side to this fragrance that smells like mouldly and worn out couch. Just the dust, dirt, dry cotton couch from the 70s. Odd but that's the vibe I get.

  • em inglês

Spicy woody amber. Warm, creamy woods with a fizzy bubbling of spices and a sweet, kinda chocolatey, borderline medicinal patchouli peeking through. Vanilla isn't immediately apparent but takes the forefront once the opening settles down, and a finely ground black pepper deep in the heart of the fragrance gives off an almost smoky undertone. Moderately strong projection for 3-4hr, longevity 12hr+. Like a deeper, richer Whispers in the Library or Memoirs of a Trespasser.

  • em inglês

Warm, sweet and spicy. I get lots of smooth vanilla blended with silky woods, with a light sprinkle of spices on top. I can smell the patchouli but I wouldn’t say it’s too strong; it’s rich and grounding rather than dusty or earthy. I almost get a fruitcake or spiced chai vibe from the perfume because of its creamy, smooth character.

  • em inglês

Creamy woody vanilla opening that is a bit spicy from patchouli Masterfully blnded, reminds me of a chocolate scent As it dries sweet woody vanilla takes over that has nutty qualities It does kind of remind me of Ani ngl

  • em inglês

Lowkey reminds me of suma oriental by une nuit nomade, but with a little more depth id say. i think its good, not great or amazing but still good. Not my style unfortunately, but it was an interesting experience.

  • em inglês

This perfume is seriously dreamy! It's warm and spicy but not overwhelming. I love the vanilla and sandalwood notes - they make it super cozy and comforting. Lasts all day too!

  • em inglês

Big fan of Pink Floyd. Not the biggest fan of this fragrance. It's much too patchouli heavy and masculine for me. It does dry down to a nice resinous and spicy vanilla, but the dankness hangs around. Maybe that's the point. Not for me.

  • em inglês

Stale vanilla. Gnawing saffron. Smoked woods bedding. Annoying. Boring.

  • em inglês

I’m only testing this because it was in the sample box. This is a knock out hate with all my big usual offenders: patchouli, guaiac wood, and cedar, then my questionable offenders of orris and saffron. Put it all together and you get this! It smells like a musty Chinese medicine cabinet with all of its old herbs and bark. Yuck yuck yuck. Still better than Golden Serenade though, at least this one’s got a veneer of sweetness. After some time it reminds me of Replica’s By the Fireplace, but much stronger. A very burnt marshmallow over a raging campfire.

  • em inglês

Received a free sample, saw a YouTube review as well. This house is getting attention so was looking forward to trying it out. I was disappointed. Notes were OK, a sweet flowery scent, but nothing special and it became a skin scent very early. I'll pass on a full bottle.

  • em inglês

No, patchouli too much, so little room for nuance. I don’t think it lasts long and for that I am grateful. If you want vanilla patchouli just get Babycat by YSL. This is not anyone’s finest work but hey if you love it, it’s cheaper than Babycat.

  • em inglês

The synthetic version of 1967; a 14 hour Pink Floyd patchouli and vanilla trip. As usual, the list of notes looked intriguing. As usual, more money was spent on presentation than what’s inside. Hard swipe to the left.

  • em inglês

Very warm, very spicy, and very resinous. Creates almost a leathery effect. I don’t get a lot of vanilla, definitely not in a sweet or gourmand kind of way. This is too heavy for me.

  • em inglês

I find two strinking similarities in this one...with Atkinons His Majesty the King and Patchouli Leaves by Montale. I had the Atkinons Last year, so the scent is still familiar to me, the Montale one I had it about 10-11 years ago, but as soon as I sniffed 14 hour dream, Patchouli Leaves was the first to come to mind. Jusbox is smoother and better I would say, but is really strong in the begining, probably that's why I thought of Montale first. The fragrance starts with a blast of patchouli. Afterwords, very similar with the Atkinons one. Another similarity is with Soul by Costume National. As performance goes, it is strong...it lingers forever, it is annoying that way I can see this fragrance being a very popular one for many, but for me it is just meh...too similar with others on the market. On the expensive side and cannot be found anywhere on discounts websites, that is probably why this fragrance is not so popular yet.

Been wearing this for a couple of days now and I have to say it's very pleasant. The dark woodiness of the patchouli harmonises well with the vanilla note, which is quite strong. This fragrance has a lovely depth to it. The inspiration behind it is the birth of the psychedelic rock movement and to be fair the slight dirtiness of the patchouli does lend it a kind of jeans and leather jacket feel. The black pepper note is quite subtle and the ginger is fleeting. While it is nothing out of the ordinary I do find it strangely addictive. It forms a lovely cloud around you for the first couple of hours and I've had more compliments than I expected. This is familiar ingredients blended well

  • em inglês

14Hour Dream reminds me of Ani. To my nose, it doesn't have that grassy opening that Ani starts with, but it does have a similar woody caramel sweetness on the dry down. Instead this starts sweet like ice cream and then the sweetness gets less intense. I believe Ani does it better though. It's nice, but I'll probably just give this to my fiance. The performance on this is really good. It projects for hours and the wind carries this well. It has a nice smell in the air, but I don't think this smells that amazing. This also lasts a while on my skin. If you like how Ani smells, it isn't a bad scent to give a sniff.

“Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young, in a world of magnets and miracles, our thoughts wandered constantly and without boundaries” High Hopes, Pink Floyd. Here we have this group with a philosophical and innovative approach as inspiration. I saw myself for the first time listening to one of their songs: a hypnotic, strange sensation, which then turns into pleasure and appreciation. And so is this fragrance: initially particular, oriental, mystical, spicy, and then becoming sweet and soft, thanks to vanilla and sandalwood. Beautiful evolution, not my thing but really interesting.

  • em inglês

Definitely getting makeup bag vibes from the orris, and lots of patchouli. Niche, rich, warm, with a boudoir kick. Spicy and zingy but more pepper than ginger, lots of sandalwood on drydown. 14 hours? 14 minutes :( Not a huge laster, dries down fast to a fairly subtle vanilla. Nice opening though! Edit: Just checked that this is a high end niche available in selfridges. Surprised, the looks of that bottle suggested this may be a niche opening cheapie, but no, it's expensive. Yeah, it does smell niche, but goes too soon for this pricetag.

  • em inglês

This is a nice, bright-ish incense inspired by Pink Floyd, according to the marketing brief. It's earthy and sunny, but it feels overwhelmingly synthetic, like Woodstock photos with Instagram filters. That's not necessarily a bad thing - I don't think Jusbox is marketing itself to the Nag Champa crowd - but it would disappoint anyone looking for a more authentically counter-culture sex, drugs, and rock evocation. It's well-blended and wearable, and I don't think it's aiming to be anything more.

  • em inglês

To me this smells almost identical to Montale’s Sweet Flowers, just not quite as sweet. On me i really am not picking up any of the spicy notes. I’ll have to wear this again and be more generous with my application too since this really didn’t last very long on me either. I really liked the initial wear since sweet flowers is one of my favorite fragrances, but for how similar the two are, I’m picking Montale.

  • em inglês

Not a lot to say about this one - it's a nice scent, but it's a pretty overdone scent profile. That said, I do really like the way the iris comes out in the very opening. It goes from interesting to just sort of pleasant once that subsides - not a big projector, lasts on skin for a decent while.

  • em inglês

I agree with some of the comments below. This smells really nice! Smoky resinous spicy woody vanilla. But it does indeed smell similar to many other niche fragrances like this, and nothing making it outstanding or above the rest.

  • em inglês

Sweet and masculine box of oriental spices in the liquid version. Kind of attracting :) Absolutely worth trying. If unisex then for a strong and confident woman. Quite sexy perfume.

  • em inglês

this smells like a lot of niche perfumes smell, a bit heady and resinous and just not unique enough almost formulaic
