Orchid Noir

Hits it out of the ballpark perfect dupe of Black Orchid. I compared it side by side with Oud 24 hours (which I quite enjoy for its gentleness), and the original Black Orchid, and strength-wise it's: Oud 24hours << Orchid Noir < Black Orchid. It even has the sparkly truffle top notes. The main difference (besides intensity) is that this ends on a yummy chocolate note that's practically gourmand, whereas Black Orchid only suggests chocolate (it's way too cool and complex xpicy), but needs that note to be teased out by layering with a brighter floral. For the ridiculously cheap price, it's a must have for Black Orchid fans, but only for Black Orchid fans, if you know what I mean.

Well to start I love Tom Fords Black Orchid EDP, got a 5oz bottle of it. I like wearing it but not every day, I was curious about this dupe and Lattaffa black origami. So I went ahead and got both dupes. Both dupes get very close but they are missing the substance of the OG. The OG is more 3D and the dupes more 2D. Orchid Noir is the closest as far as scent but it has a different middle and the projection and longevity is not even close, the Lattaffa dupe lasts longer but it has a different drydown and a more clean/fresh approach. If you never used the OG you might not pick up the differences so if you don’t want to break the bank and want something that resembles black orchid this one will do. Only lasts around 6hrs and projects for the first 40 minutes within arms length. Good dupe not worth more than $20

I don't own TF Black Orchid, but what I remember from it, this is a reaaally close dupe. Dark slightly bitter chocolate-patchouli is what I get the most. I'm not really good at pickin up any other spesific notes. Dark, mysterious and unisex. I definitely like the scent, but I have a hard time finding occasions to wear this, since it's a bit unusual and polarizing as is TF BO. I have also Tobacco Leaf from the same brand, and that is more my vibe. Also when I got this I felt like it was super strong, but now I feel like it calms down pretty quick (sticks around, but closer to skin). Maybe my nose got used to stronger frags or maybe this sitting on the self changed a bit?

This one was really the surprise of the day A strong, long-lasting fragrance. From a man's perspective, a little strange feeling after an hour, at this point the fragrance goes more on the feminine side. But very quickly it goes back to a unisex, wintery, warm scent. The quality is extremely good, especially considering the ridiculously cheap price. It's worth having it.

Batch 389404 03/2023 100ml comes in a much cheaper bottle than showed in lots of pictures even the sticker was slammed on uneven. The box was to tight fitted..hardy could not open it. Right away I know this would be cheap but so was Detour noir at first glance. Yes the scent resambles Black Orchid just like Oud 24 hours does. But the longevity is not there it feels watered down. Bought it under €15 and for that price you can expact that. I would not buy this if it was more expensive. Fun to have in the collection but I have much more clones that are so much better in performance or presentation. I will not buy a second bottle nor will I buy a black orchid style fragrance

smells like death, but very similar to the tom ford, which also smells like death

At least my batch from a few years ago is much more similar to Black Orchid Perfume (gold bottle) than the regular Black Orchid. The are similar enough to be borderline identical, I've compared them both on the skin and on paper and the differences are tiny. Tom Ford is maybe 10% stronger the day after on paper, and has slightly more of that brighter menthol-y tone (feels like the nostrils open up a bit when you sniff it if you know what I mean). To notice any difference at you have to really go back and forth between the samples, other than that they smell identical. (As long as you're not too disturbed by the opening blast of alcohol. I find that this is the case with pretty much all dupes, even the really well done ones take a minute to settle. If you want to spray it and immediately absolutely love the smell in the air then cheapie dupes are not for you). The annoying thing to me is that while the gold bottle of the original Tom Ford is more expensive, I find the black bottle a lot more wearable and would rather have a dupe of that than of the Gold bottle. Other than that this is definitely one of the highest quality Tom Ford dupes that I've tried, along with Simply Blanc (Soleil Blanc) and Noir Endurance (Noir Extreme). The value compare to the price is extreme, I paid 6 euro for 50ml.
