The Key

I was absolutely shocked to see how disliked this perfume is, because to me it is so easy to like and is one of only the few perfumes that I receive compliments on from several different people. To me this perfume smells like the shampoo of the gods. On my skin has such a cleanness to it, and is only vaguely sweet and fruity. The musk is the prominent note, and on my skin it unfolds as elegant, fresh, and sexy, but in a non-obvious way. It is sexy because it clean and has a sharpness about it that makes the wearer smell distant, in a way. It is not a warm perfume by any means, but it is easy to like and it is a crowd pleaser, for me. This would be ideal as an everyday perfume, for any occasion, but especially those which call for more toned-down and appropriate scents. I wonder if people would be more open to this perfume if it were not a celebrity perfume, and especially if it were not made by Biebs. Admittedly, I'd rather believe I am able to detect high-quality perfumes when I smell one, but my love for this one cannot be denied.

smells amazing like a delicious decadent dessert of creamy peachy apricot sorbet swirl in a cooling rainbow fruit icy sensation. This is the only Beiber perfume I would consider buying. If you're sick and tired of all the syrupy sick sweet perfumes, or the old granny barely mobile perfume, or the crazy head ache induced melancholy vampy night walker perfumes, the aldehyde induced vintage perfumes, dead animal secretions from the house of shalimar, here is an option for an upbeat happy nausea free youthful scent. This is a cooling scent to me. There is youth, innocence, first love kind of sentiment in this perfume. This scent just put a smile on my face after a hard day of work. It feels soothing and relaxing to get me in the mood to roll up and cuddle for a romantic dinner in the middle of the week on an unexpected Wednesday night. I tried this one out at the mall today and I am totally in love. I was never a fan of Beiber or his past perfume but this one is definitely the best of Beiber so far.

A very clean musky, peaches and cream scent. A nice skin scent, creamy, and woody. I love this. It's fruity but not candy sweet at all. Just very fresh and clean thanks to the water lily. Almost soapy but in a good way. The peach & musk create a very fruity creamy scheme. That rasperry & boysenberry add a bit of a tart/sour note to the scent. Again the water lily is the top floral note that stands out of all the florals. The woody note is very prominent as well and sticks around for the whole scent. I actually prefer this scent in summer. I hated it for some reason during winter. It's very fresh for summer because it's not overly sweet or anything. Lasts a good while. I can smell it on me all day. This is great for daytime wear.

I think this is a very underrated perfume, when it comes to social media at least. It is such an exquisite perfume with a monster staying power (for the price), sillage is moderate unless you spray a lot of perfume. It stays on my skin around 8 hours and on my clothes until it's washed again. I think it's a very comforting - warm berry musky hold-the-flowers - scent, quiet but present throughout the day. It feels like a ray of sunshine! Warm smelling scent, meant for both hot and cold weather. It is such a nice scent to snuggle at night with a thick soft comforter. Very much outside-the-box of the typical celebrity perfume. My skin loves it...and my nose too. Kudos for the creator of this wonderful perfume!

I am sure i sense some violet in there...and on me it smells like violets and musk, so id say, not bad, as these notes are my cup of tea. Like ive said before, i am not too judgmental on the name of the design house, as long as the frag smells good - and lasts, i purchase. Besides, these celeb scents are made by houses like Coty and Arden, not really by Bieber...just like Britney's fantasy is formulated my Armani i read somewhere. So i am all for celeb scents, as they are cool for everyday wear, well priced and have wacky bottles. I gladly wear this frag, on days when i dont want to use up my Versaces, and actually this smells pretty good!!

''The Key'' is one of my favorite perfumes of ALL TIME!!!! Such an incredible scent!!!! It's in my top 3 of my collection for sure!! It's a fresh, fruity, powdery, shampooish scent that I ADORE!!!! It's such a UNIQUE scent!! Also longevity is good. I have never smelled anything like this before and in my collection it definitely stands out. Unfortunately I read online that it is discontinued....... Please tell me that It's not!!! Do you know if it is discontinued? If you know a perfume that smells like ''The Key'' or extremely similar please let me know!! It would help me so much!! because I'm trying to find one and nothing until now.......

It is absolutely amazing!!! I was buying some fragrances from my wishlist and added this one too with mixed feelings, but I needed some stuff for free shipping and it was sooo super cheap, I couldn’t resist 🤷♀️ I didn’t know what to expect, I thought it will be sickeningly sweet, artificial, childish and cheap smelling but ohhh nooo, nothing like that!!! It was a great surprise finding out that it’s a good blended, sophisticated scent, it’s fruity, airy, powdery sweet with amazing lasting power, 12h, and it’s a super compliment getter!!! Just perfect for hot weather! I will surely reach for it a lot!!!

This thing reminds me so much of eclat d’arpege but more intense. It might be the osmanthus that makes them smell alike. I also think it’s the “hair product” smell that makes them similar bc i remember eclat’s dry down has a “hair pomade” smell. I have a 10 year old bottle and it smells so much stronger now—gotta say it aged well because I remember this smelling “fresh” more than intense but I love it that way because it’s more versatile and I can wear it any time of the day. I do keep in mind to under-spray this bc it’s in that certain level of headache inducing sweetness.

My boyfriend freaked out when I wore this, saying how good I smelled and asking me what I was wearing. I think I might be partially anosmic to it, but I generally get a soft and very clean, almost crystalline peach, a little like hairspray too. I'm really surprised that no one besides Cake n Cuddles has compared this to Taylor Swift, or even to Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love or Katy Perry Purr. It definitely shares that peachy shower fresh musk effect. However, out of all of those, I think the Key is the most pleasant and I guess my boyfriend would agree. Pretty unexpected...

This is floral fruity powdery scent that I was never used to wearing (powder scents anyways) that my now husband bought for me back when it released because he liked the smell and still likes when I wear it to this day. somehow it’s still going strong too and I’ll be sad when it’s gone even though it’s not my absolute favorite it carries some good memories. I get tons of compliments on this perfume a lot more than any other fragrance I’ve ever worn too by all different kinds of people, I need to update my perfume inventory and profile one of these days when I have time.

I am a massive Bieber fan so I was bound to smell this perfume as soon as it came out. I was feeling a little sceptical about smelling this perfume because I've smelt his previous perfumes like Girlfriend and Someday but they were too fruity for my liking (so hence why I don't own those perfumes even though I love Bieber!) That just goes to show that perfumes shouldn't be judged based on whether or not they are a celeb frag. But The Key is surprisingly nice, it smells fruity, fresh and has florals. It lasts a long time on my skin which is great!

A sweet floral scent in my opinion. This has a fresh and clean feel to it with a little sweetness,a little creaminess. It does give off a yummy smelling shampoo vibe as someone else mentioned. I really love this! I have to admit, the fact that this is a Justin Bieber fragrance did turn me off at first but I can't deny that this smells great. Good for everyday. This is one of my go to work perfumes. Longevity isn't the best on me...maybe 2- hrs and sillage is soft and close to the skin.

When I tested this in stores, it smelled very vanilla musk to me. I like it so I ordered it from Sephora. It smells so much different than the tester, so the tester must have been going bad due to it being out in the lights and other stuff. The new bottle I know have smells very fruity and vanillaish. It smells kinda citrusy in a way. Maybe there is quince or kiwi in it. I am picking that up. It smells very fruity fresh to me with a vanilla after smell.

Every now and then the smell of a fragrance connects to a song and the fragrance is forever a reminder. I don't know why. The fruity juiciness of the opening made me think of Juicy Fruit by Mtume. It dries to a nice vanilla musk that I find very relaxing and smells so good. This is made for cuddling. I couldn't be further from the target demographic for this perfume, I haven't even listened to a whole justin bieber song in my life, but I like this, it's a fruity creamy gourmand treat, it also has a decent cost / longevity ratio. I must admit I would feel a bit awkward if someone asked me what perfume I'm wearing and I had to say "justin bieber latest" but oh well, the scent and the pleasure you get from it matter more.

It’s nice. Very shampooey which I actually like as sometimes I just want to smell shower fresh. I’ve never smelled boysenberry but I have an idea of what smells like through this perfume - it’s like a dark berry smell. I sprayed this and my friend complimented me so it’s definitely a compliment getter, just a shame it’s been discontinued. Going to save the small bottle I have for the spring/summer months.

This really is a white fragrance! It opens with juicy tart fruit notes, which gives it a very pleasant and uplifting vibe, I don't get the peach, only the boysenberry, the rasberry and some juicy pear. After 20 minutes or so, it settles into a nice white musky softness, bright, clean and feminine. I definitely like it, it's a relaxing, easy to wear fragrance and it's great for warm weather. ❤️

I have had expensive perfumes and I will becompletely honest this perfume is downright GORGEOUS!Wow,also the compliments the whole night from men was insane!!! I dont know if Justin Bieber threw pheromones in here,but it works AMAZING! And you people know how dead on honest my postings are. Chanel move over,I found the real deal from JB.He's a genius!!!! It seem becoming my most favorite after all; I can use this smell all day long with any seasons. Frankly, speaking I'm not the fan of JB, but some of his recently songs (Sorry, Love Your Self, What do You Mean?......) are pretty cool. Moreover, this kind of perfume has made me fallen in love forever lasting i think if I can't find any other better than this.

I got this for my birthday and I must say that this is Bieber's best perfume up to date (in my opinion). It's truly refreshing and it's not the typical sickly mixture of fruity+floral+sweet-whatever. I'm not a Belieber but this is a wonderful perfume. Somehow, it gives me a wonderful feeling of confidence whenever I wear this :)

I have over 300 perfumes and this is the one that draws the most compliments. It is sweet but still fresh and clean, but not in a soapy vintage way, more like straight out of shower clean. This is my new signature even if I am probably considered too old for it at 35, and I could not care less. Lasts for days on fabric

Wow! I was put off by the name but I got this in a small Coffret set and today is my first day wearing it and I love it! My hubby noticed right away and asked what I was wearing...2 hpurs in and I can still smell it, not overpowering but just enough that I can enjoy it and I like that :)

I was scared that it would smell like all the other celebrity scents, you know typical sweet scents but this one is actually very nice. The scent is very clean with some sweet notes, reminds me of fresh laundry . I think people that don't like the typical sweet scent will love this one.

I'm not a Belieber but when I was given a paper strip with this on it, I was quite impressed with this. For me, I think that this is sweet but not too overwhelming and it's quite refreshing with a somewhat mature kind of vibe. I can't wait to have this in my collection. :)

Used to be my signature scent in school, and I recently found my bottle and it had the last few drops of it! Wore it to work a few days and got more compliments than ever. A very easy reach, very clean smelling and not too strong, gutted that this is discontinued :(

Something that you might call a very musky scent. At first I didn't like it. After a few times of using I fell in love with it. I get the notes of peach, vanilla and musk and it's the first scent that muskiness comes clearly out on my skin. I just LOVE it :)

I blind bought this based on these reviews. £10 - nothing to lose. And I’m so glad I did. This, to my nose, is Gucci Flora eau Fraiche - but better. Lasting power is great (4 hours) considering I paid so little. Very pleased it’s part of my collection!

Ok, first of all: LOL!!! This is ridiculously good! My 30ml of Royal Revolution and mad potion will be a nice memory , and that's it. But THIS, this will be bought again. Very very very much like Flora Gucci edt. Peachy, musky soap. I'm in heaven!

This is surprisingly really nice! Every time I smell it I cant help but think of California and Grand Theft Auto (the game) lol. You can get the 3.4 bottle for like $15 at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

I own close to 300 perfumes. Some expensive, some inexpensive.I don't really know how to describe this perfume. But what I can say is it smells absolutely fantastic! I couldn't be more pleased.

This smells of clean musk, peaches and vanilla on me. I got the 1 oz. for only $9 on clearance and it was worth every penny. I don't care whose name is on a scent when I enjoy it this much.

A departure from his previous fruity fragrances. This one is unique and clean. It is very popular where I live because it is an easy fragrance to wear and it smells amazing!

Very soapy! I only use it after I shower in the morning or evening. Makes me feel calm and clean. Love it as a bedtime scent. Moderate longevity Sillage is soft to moderate

DISCONTINUED FRAGRANCE REVIEW NO.#19 / 10. Look, say what you want about Justin Bieber. Can he sing (or does he sing....off-Key)? Are his songs decent? Does he have a serious attitude problem? When will he shave off the world's worst lip toupee? They're all questions we ask ourselves daily. This perfume, though? It's pretty dang nice. Simple, sweet, fruity, pretty, and nice. All this time I thought I was smelling sweet plum. THERE'S NO PLUM IN HERE, FOOL! It could be the boysenberry and that DELIGHTS me. Because boysenberry ice-cream is my favourite (no joke, it's the best and now you have a little unrelated Kitty DeBeauvoir trivia). You also get fresh pear and some gentle apricotty osmanthus. I definitely get peach in the heart and I'm thinking water lily because this scent is sweet yet refreshing. Combine that with a cozy musk, and that's why I'm thinking we're all "Wicked Good Shampoo Scent" up in here. It reminds me a fair amount of Katy Perry's "Indi" which I personally go nuts over. That one has more musk (obviously) and is a bit sharper/spicier...which I realise now is the tea note. This one is definitely sweeter and fruitier. A tad younger, but less oppresive (if musk is a tricky note for you). I hate the advertising campaign and slogan. It just blatantly ignores subtlety and slides headfirst into cringey. Also, the short film is 4 minutes long because apparently the director only shoots film in slow motion (Yes, I watched it, so you don't have to). Enough already. But I don't buy perfumes based on their advertising campaigns - I buy them so I can enjoy their scent and feel all good inside. So, this is discontinued (and *actually* hard to find at a decent price), so I'm glad I got my hands on a bottle. I'll use this sparingly for those moments I need a sweet, cozy, fruity musky moment. Justin case (don't pretend these puns aren't magical). *** Kitty rating: 7.5/10.

Good grief. I like this. There. I said it. I typed it. I am not ashamed. :) Well....maybe a little shy about admitting this, but what are you gonna do!? My son invited a young (teen) friend to accompany our family to a concert last weekend. As soon as she sat down in the car I was intrigued by the scent wafting around her. It was quite strong, and I think it would have read as perfect for her if the heat had not been so oppressive that unseasonably warm fall day. It smelled like a beautiful street version of a Egyptian Musk I have sourced out of a head shop from Pike's Market in Seattle which I buy every time we are there. I am not shy about asking people what they are wearing and had to know immediately what she had on, at the risk of embarrassing my son. I wasn't shocked when she said "J.B.'s The Key", but rather pleasantly surprised, and in a mom kind of fashion thought, "wow! Good for that (poor) kid! He finally put his name on something to be proud of!" ;) It is soft, appropriately sexy (like Love’s Baby Soft could be), clean, musky & a tad sweet. I personally didn't smell a trace of vanilla. I could still smell this on her hours (NINE hours !) later so the lasting power was impressive. She is a sweet, stunningly (naturally!) pretty young woman & the scent fit her personality to a tee. I really don't usually care about the celebrity endorsers anymore....I have learned to smell & appreciate a scent only for what it is on it's own, but I will admit I have a difficult time getting past some of them and Justin was no exception. But the kid put his name to a scent that is quite impressive, classically appreciated (Egyptian musk) & surprisingly beautiful, and this may have just made me a Bieleber. :) I could even imagine wearing this as a signature if I were a teenager or in my twenties.

Oh boy,I love this perfume! I expected a bieber perfume to be very childish and very fruity in a synthetic way.well it IS youthful and it IS fruity but it also smells heavenly! The key is sweet but it also has some sort of crisp and clean freshness which balances it's sweetness.I dislike aquatic scents and this isn't aquatic to my nose.it has such delicious and natural peach and pear and a hint of a berryish fruit which blend very well with soft flowers,creamy vanilla and musk.musk isn't heavy,dirty and animalic here but it's not soapy either.it smells like a delicious floral-fruity-vanilla shampoo.some people may dislike a shampoo smelling perfume but I love it here.it's so soft,clean,feminine and sensual in a young and simple way.I like the fact that none of the notes try to make it all about itself.fruits,flowers,musk,vanilla,they're all there but they blend so well that I can't say which one I'm smelling the most It stays close to skin,recognizable for people around and fortunately everyone around me seems to enjoy it as much as I do.I can smell it after 5 hours lingering on my skin,not much like perfume.more like it's one's personal skinscent right after taking shower with a heavenly smelling shampoo,and maybe applying some lotion.it's pretty in a simple way I even like it's white plastic bottle,my only regret is that I have just a 1 oz bottle of the key.if I find a bigger size bottle for a fair price(less than 30!$)I will probably buy a backup.it makes me feel calm,happy and young so I don't care whose name is on it One of my favorite celebrity perfumes

I bought this perfume blind and I don't repent myself, it is as good as people say it is. I was a little wary of what I was going to find, but it turned out to be very pleasant. It is fresh at first spray, but then it starts warming up and sweetening on the skin. It's really nice. So I've been wearing it for two days now and I can easily compare it to Pitbull for her, although Pitbull is a little sweeter and better made, in my opinion. I find The Key to be very weak. I wore it for work and it was a skin scent. I would say to wear it for bed or when you're about to sit on a comfy couch on a lazy day to read a book and totally indulge all on your own because it's soft and totally a skin scent. Overall it's very pleasant although the quality is not good enough. 2nd Edit: If you need another example of what type of fragrance this is, it's the type of fragrance like CK1 Shock, only that CK1 Shock is even better than Pitbull for Women, which in turn, is even better than J.B. The Key. So The Key is the weakest and less sweet of those two.

Firstly, I am neither a Belieber nor a fan of 'celebrity perfumes'. I admit that I initially did not want to like this perfume, assuming The Key was probably some overly sweet perfume which contributes to headaches, but how wrong I was! It wasn't exactly love at first sniff, but I certainly do not regret buying it. I actually wanted to purchase the Collector's Edition perfume, but it was unfortunately out of stock everywhere I went. So, I gave The Key a try, after further consideration. When I got home, I immediately tried it on my skin, and shirt. Not bad, I thought, but I wasn't blown away like I was for Chloe and Burberry The Beat, just to name a couple. I thought of giving it away to a Belieber I know, but hours later, the scent was just.. Love. On a second thought, nope, definitely not giving it away anymore! :P The Key is my very first 'celebrity perfume 'and I like it! I am a woman in her early 20s, and the scent isn't overly sweet or tweeny-bopperish. :) Sillage and longevity are moderate, definitely not complaining.

I'm well beyond the targeted age, but this stuff smells really good. I don't even care if it's marketed by Bieber, it's not like he personally crafted this perfume. I even love the bottle. I think it's sort of chic. It really lasts a long time on me, and that's some feat in and of itself. My skin tends to eat perfumes. To me, this is a peachy smelling musk, and I love that. I got the largest bottle because I knew I liked it after testing it. I have a huge collection of perfumes, and am somewhat hard to impress due to the amount I have, but this is extremely nice. It's not my favorite, but I can see myself wearing it a lot because it has such great longevity. Who says you can't get a great perfume at a low price? Not me. I'll display it next to my Dior and Givenchy perfumes, just for grins. This reminds me quite a bit of Avon's older Soft Musk, Peach Edition.

Okkkk.. I was not expecting to like this as much as I do to be very honest. I thought, celebrity fragrance and not a celebrity I particularly associate with good taste but since it was cheap I figured wth, well I stand corrected! This one is actually very nice if you look past the celebrity, the price tag and the tacky packaging. It's a watery, fruity, floral that has a very clean shampoo-ey feel (reminds me of Garnier Fructis from my childhood). To me, the most prominent notes are the fruity notes with a beautiful bright peach and sweet raspberry being the most discernible accompanied by light watery florals and a very clean airy musk. This would be a an easy reach during the hot summer months when I want something uncomplicated but pretty. Performance is not greatest but for a cheapie does it really matter? Not to me. I'd happily recommend this one.

I bought this on sale as part of a celebrity perfume travel set along with Minajesty and Taylor. This is the best one out of the bunch. It's very fresh, like shower fresh and fruity without being gourmand, heavy, overly sweet, or overly sharp or tart with the fruit, a very pleasant safe for work blend. Also good for summer and great price as well. Recommend as a casual daytime perfume that is not overly floral or fruity or gourmand, fresh and light without being aquatic. It doesn't last that long but at this price it doesn't matter if it needs reapply after several hours.

This perfume is super high quality for the low price I bought it at Christmas for clearance for 9 dollars and I have a bottle of it Already since I already love it this perfume is a steal for the high quality and low price seen them at shoppers for 20 reguAlr such a steal it's more of a musky mature scent the plastic bottle looks sleek and i have a much easier time throwing it in my purse then all of my other class perfumes. This scent is more musky and mature then his other scents but is still sweet and fresh smells like a forest musk and pear

Very clean fresh out of the shower, I used expensive shower gel, shampoo and lotion type of scent. This was my work fragrance for so long and I was always complimented on my "shampoo" then I realised it was THIS they were smelling, not my hair. This is sweet vanilla musk, very non-offensive, safe blind buy. If you're looking for a complex scent with several layers and a sexy or addictive vibe etc, this is not it. This is however, one of the best musk fragrances I've ever smelled! Sad to see it discontinued!

I bought it because of the good reviews on here. To me it is very musky, but in a great way. Reminds me a bit of white musk - the body shop or pure musk by Narciso Rodriguez. It smells very clean without being citrusy which i like. On me it lasts a long time and the sillage is moderate. I thought it would be a teenage perfume but I think it is suitable for most ages. It is a very easy to like scent. Great for day time when you dont need to stand out but just smell nice. My boyfriend liked it too
