Dahab

Wow, what an interesting scent. First spray was complex, juicy sweet but deep and multifaceted. Then it evolved into something I wasn't as into, strong musk, almost dusty when combined with the earthiness of the patchouli. And then after a while... gates of heaven opened and that delicious, bright, photorealistic passionfruit came through in a hug of amber, clinging onto clothes and projecting sweetness over an "old books" type musk accord for many hours after the initial spray. It's perfectly unisex, but I think it gives more of a warm and inviting vibe on men and a mysterious, luxurious vibe on women. It's not a very casual scent but it could be pulled off as such by the right person, and I think it'd be best on people late 20s or older. A lot of reviews judge it to be a summer scent but I beg to differ. The prominent musk accord and the sweetness, with its massive longevity and large projection, may be too much if you live anywhere where it gets genuinely very hot or humid. I think it'd shine best on a brisk autumn day so I can't wait to wear it on a day like that myself.

I'm not so much into fruity fragrances, but this... I have no idea what THIS is, only that THIS IS AMAZING. I bought a 5oz sample to try. I sprayed it yesterday before stepping out into the high heat of the day to meet up with my gf for lunch. When I hugged her, she immediately asked - what are you wearing, wow ! Then moving along our day, we did some shopping, and I was approached by the sales rep and he asked and said the same thing. I was worried, just based off of the notes this would smell like some cheap fruity overly sweet fragrance, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I still don't think this is a safe blind buy, but if you do get to try it, I don't think it'll disappoint. This smells WAY more elegant than I expected. The notes blend beautifully. Needless to say this is FB worthy. I went ahead and bought a full bottle right away. SO happy i have this in my collection. It smells like nothing I own.

~ Peaches ~ Juicy Home Grown Peaches ~ ~ Peach Nectar From A Tin Of Peaches ~ ~ 3 of us tested this at the same time in store and it’s one of the most beautiful fruit fragrances I have smelt. ~ We all smelt slightly different, from the juicy over ripened peach picked from the tree, the peaches being cut up for for jam or stewed peaches to the nectar in a can of peaches. ~ I bought a bottle for a friends birthday and it is divine on his skin and he has since told me it lasted 4 days on his skin from the original test in store. ~ I snuck back to the store a week later to purchase a bottle for myself as it is one of the few fragrances I couldn’t live without owning. ~ No indication of the Passion Fruit listed or the tartness ~ ~ Nectar Of The Gods ~

So, Dahab...You're really going to show up on my doorstep and take my breath away, huh? Ok, mission accomplished! Dahab was an impulsive blind-buy GONE RIGHT! It opens with the green apple but within 10 minutes, it morphs into the sweetest peach note! Like somehow the way the passionfruit and green apple are blended comes off as peach on my skin and I'm in TOTAL love. Thankfully, the musk is blended into submission to allow the fruits to shine. Now hear this... THoO's Bon Bon Pop clearly was inspired by Dahab!!! But I hated that one, and I've fallen head over heels for Dahab. 💚

I totally agree with Pauline99,this is mostly a very straightforward passion fruit-scent:slightly tangy in the opening with the apple-note, later very sweet, but not overly so due to the cedar, and in the dry-down layered with amber,musk and patchouli. The passionfruit is for me the star, all other notes are slightly insignificant byplayers. It is a lovely summer scent, totally uncomplicated, some would call it a ,,crowd-pleaser fruitchouli", personally I would say it is uplifting and perfect for a stressful day at work, with great longevity and good sillage.

This is totally signature scent worthy! The best passionfruit I’ve ever smelled. The fruitness is premer through the whole time. It has a freshness to it. Amber gives some sweetness.The musk is soft and easy on the nose. Thankfully, its linear, what you get in the first spray is what it’ll smell it’s whole. One of the most versatile fragrances in my collection. The balance between fruitness, freshness and sweetness makes it suit for any occasion, any season. To my nose, this doesn’t smell like Erba Pura or Kirke

Kajal make some truly lovely fragrances. I am already an admirer of Lemar and Dahab is already lining up just behind. It’s a golden, sweet(ish) fruity/woody invention whose aura has a dense, almost creamy quality. Other than the crisp bite of green apple in the opening the passion fruit at its heart is the dominant note which is sustained right the way through to the story’s end. Elegant, opulent, delicious and with good longevity and silage, Dahab is an exotic creature well worth getting to know. I love it!

Was not expecting to like this as I really dislike Kirke and find Erba pura musk too screechy (but love Erba pura magica). This was an immediate buy after testing randomly in store. Very bright apple and passion fruit opening which dries down to a sweet vanilla with a little fruitiness on me. Surprisingly, this works really well in both warm and cool days as there is the cosiness in the base notes. Does have some shampoo vibes (which I love) but not synthetic at all, you can definitely smell the quality.

Have I ever told you that Dahab of the entire Kajal Classic line is my favorite? I am strongly attracted to the apple, fresh, crunchy, green, which, accompanied by a wonderful symphony of notes, gives this fragrance sensuality and elegance at the same time. It is exceptionally good, fresh, brings joy and does not go unnoticed. Truly one of the few fruity ones that I appreciate and which obviously ended up on the wishlist. Beautiful. “Fruit Basket” by Caravaggio, yes, it really deserves it.

Yummy. Airy fresh and fruity without being too sweet or nose piercing. The musks (if here) don’t bother me. I can see why people say Kirke - but it’s fresher, without the woods and musks. This is something I want to wear in the heat during the day. Kirke I’ll wear more in the evening. I’ve not yet tried EP but I intend on getting my nose on it for reference. I have a generous decant that I’m wearing next to the heater in winter. I would love a bottle of this for the summer 😍

Wow this is absolutely incredible as someone who does not enjoy fruity sweet scents. Super natural smell like biting into the most luscious fruit. I personally get a big peachy vibe here but its so well rounded, not at all harsh. My grandmother used to have this massive peach candle (dusty because it was never lit) and this totally reminds me of it. It likes what my childhood brain was processing now 25 years later - somewhat dream like if im honest. What a gem!!

Q80, it is passion fruit, go to the official site to see the notes. Very similar to Erba Pura but not so strong and heavy. Actually both are created by Christian Carbonnel. In my opinion Dahab is better than Erba Pura. This one is stunning, balanced and with great sillage and longevity. The passion fruit with the cedar is sexy and divine. I do not get too much patchouli, but exquisite amber and musk in the base.

What a tropical fruit blast! I love it! The blast of passionfruit comes first, other fruits are secondary, but noticeable. It's nowhere near Xerjoff Erba pura or Mancera Jardin exclusif, there is no strange medicinal sharpness of Erba pura or Jardin exclusif. The sillage is good, but not offensive. Can't tell about longevity yet, I'm writing my first impressions.

This is a fragrance of extremes-- I like it in summer and and winter. It's sharp and sour with a pulverized spice that tickles my nose; it's a bright, seductive, wild ride in a fast, expensive supercar. If "Dear Polly"by Vilhelm is a rich, sleek, refined, cared-for passenger in repose, Dahab is all sexy drive (and they're both fantastic.)

This is a lovely fruity musky scent! You definitely get the passion fruit and green apple in the opening. If you enjoy tart fruity scents then you would like this with a sweetness to it. It does change though so not a linear scent. I like all phases equally. The fruitiness isn’t as strong in the dry down but it doesn’t completely go away.

First thing I think of when I spray this is green apple candy. Then the passion fruit shows up. It’s a fruity, musky, candy like fragrance without being overly sweet. It drys down into a fruity, amber, musk. Feminine opening, unisex drydown. Great longevity. To me this dose not smell anything like Erba Pura.

At first I didn't like it, but gave it a few more tries and now I love it. Very loud, so easy on the sprays. Fruity and woody with a little patchouli. Agree with the review below that this would probably do best in the cooler months of spring and autumn and would turn skanky in high heat.

This has been love at first sniff! if you want to be enveloped in a classy juicy fruity sensual cloud, take that! It is not chemical and extremely pleasant and feminine, longlasting and seductive, perfect for a date. I cannot smell any comparison with Erba Pura. BIG LOVE, FB worth 5/5

Oh my......but this is just sexy!! has a strong opening due to the coriander but it develops into a deliciously sexy mix of PASSION-Fruit green apple musky fragrance with a slightly sweet base from the amber.. love this fragrance !! Long lastin & moderate sillage!

Wowzers. This is a love. A beautiful blending of passionfruit, citruses and that oh-so seductive musk and amber. This definitely reads gorgeous goddess beckoning her man to take her to bed and ravish her. A third date wear?! You decide. ;)

It’ is fantastic, delicious fruity, soft in its first notes, but sparkling and playful in drying. A lot of apple and passion fruit, this smell stays very good for several hours. Highly recommended!!

This is the most realistic and juiciest Passionfruit scent I’ve ever smelt in a fragrance!! Also reminds me of Frozen Mango Yogurt/ ice cream from Pinkberry! It’s so delicious!

Ok so I'm doing another review, after owning it since 2022, I haven't used it because i was hit with that unbearable sweaty musky smell. I recall i did use it during hotter months at that time. In the summer, you do get that "sweaty musk" smell as some reviews mentioned. That bright fruit smell, turns so sharp, almost acrid acidic. No one wants to smell like a marinating armpit. Maybe it's just my body chemistry. So I capped it up and haven't touched it in years. Just tried it again on Jan 28, 2025, been experiencing some of the coldest days here. This is definitely a cold weather fruit bomb vs wearing it during hot summer months, with a clean white musk, almost like the skin of a peach, with a hint of soap as it is drying down. I think of Irish Spring soap, after you just rinsed yourself off. The fruit becomes more subtle and you just smell clean. In my opinion, I think this is actually more masculine leaning in the dry down. Definitely unisex, go for it if you want to try something diff. Best for gloomy winter days and you're looking for a pick-me-up. Turns too closing, boozy fruits, and sour musk during hot summer months.

Dahab is an intensely refreshing and tropical scent which I imagine would work brilliantly in the high heat. It’s not the most complex fragrance, it focuses almost entirely around a juicy combination of green apple and passion fruit. The apple itself does come across a bit overly synthetic but is refreshing and pleasant nonetheless. The passion fruit on the other hand amplifies that juiciness and brings that tropical element to the scent. From here there are soft musks and woods in the base but they are very subtle. This is a pleasant enough fragrance. I can see how the simplicity of the scent would make it a perfect pick for the summer, but personally I like my summer scents to smell more natural. This isn’t a bad fragrance at all but it doesn’t smell like it’s price tag.

As soon as I smelled it passion fruit was the first thing came to my mind(I didn't know it's notes so then I was gesitant between passion fruit and apricot)it's not the first passion fruit scent I'm trying but for sure is the most natural one Fruits are so natural smelling and of high quality that it's no way not to like them.so fresh and bright and delicious.hmmm Gradually scent of bowl of fresh fruits(passion fruit and apple)deepens with a touch of amber and woody notes.I didn't try it on skin and can't really talk about it's development,the only point I can say is dahab is very pleasant,delightful and easy to wear.specially good for summer,days and nights and seems to have amazingly good lasting power Highly recommend to try it whenever you com across a bottle

Honest review as a man ! I like it, fair enough interpretation of the passion fruit, sweet, musky and fruity ! Not as fresh as the composition suggest to befair. I expected to be freshier ! The green apple note is not the one you foound in YSL Y or in greenly instead here is much heavier, denser, richer Not as light and appaealing as other fragrance. The musk note is present but well balanced, doesn't overpower the structure. Overall it smells like a tropical Cocktail at the passion fruit in the beach at 6 pm. bottle worthy, althugh it totally lacks performances... 7.9/10 Great but still forgettable not a masterpiece but if you like passion fruit get it, this is really close to the real fruit, also it doesn't smell synthetic as others often do.

This is a beautiful “feel good” feminine tropical scent. The note that I pick up the most is a juicy sweet passion fruit. The fragrance is rather simple than complex. Personally I was hoping this would be a little more complex than what it is but nevertheless it is a safe blind buy if you like fruity tropical fragrances! I have noticed people compare this to Velvet Fantasy by Móntale but I strongly disagree that these two are alike. VF is a very evening scent to me and Dajab is a great day time one, I can see comparison to Kirke and Erba Pura so if you like those 2 this one is a super safe buy:) 8/10:)

Top - a very nice apple /bergamot accord that fades into a beautiful "peach" note (likely the passionfruit in combination with the apple and bergamot notes). This scent is missing some of the funky off notes that my skin tends to get when wearing scents with passionfruit. As it dries down, this scent evolves into a lovely fruit-laced vanilla with a hint of woods and patchouli. I really like the dry-down on this. I'm not a big fruit-scent lover, but this is beautifully executed and a fruit scent I would wear.

Never thought I'd be the one to reach for a fruit cocktail like fragrance but Dahab is simply impossible to pass by when the right occasion arises. Wore it to a casino in Vegas because that's the most unlike me thing I've had the pleasure of experiencing in a very long time and it suited it perfectly. Despite my looks, I'm sure that from a distance, judging purely by the scent I was leaving behind me, someone could've assumed I was a rich, beautiful Middle Eastern princess.

The beginning was slightly sweet, fruity, but felt quite light. The apple gives it a very fresh smell, a bit sour, but still sweet. Now the drydown the remind me of Kirke/Erba Pura. There is this minty tropical candy-like smell.

If Victoria's Secret Bombshell & Versace's Bright Crystal Absolu had a more expensive niche baby. It's lovely, but I'm a little disappointed in the longevity & drydown for the price.

I find Apple dominance boaring, otherwise it’s a masterpiece, I just wished for another fruit instead of apple or something with it up there

Dahab is a slightly more feminine version of Erba Pura, (same perfumer.) Smells expensive and lasts forever. I took a shower and it’s still going strong...happened with Erba Pura too. I definitely notice the apple, passion fruit, and musk. I have bottles of both, but if I knew how similar they were before purchasing Dahab, I would have just stuck with Erba Pura. You don’t need both.

To my nose more a mix of peach, melon and passion fruit. Something about it leans feminine with the synthetic sweet fruit. It dries down a bit chemical musky with some fruit. I don’t like or dislike it but I can see how some will really like or dislike it, it’s a bit simple. I prefer Lamar to this.

Like a really well done passionfruit body spray. Soft and rounded and nice .. Before I saw the notes I thought it was watermelon or some type of bright rounded melon with some vanilla to round it off or something. Its almost a bubble gum passionfruit but Im sure will please anyone that is around the person wearing it. This is not an offensive fragrance nor does it smell like chemical or perfume in the musky old fashion way. However its doesnt smell classy or expensive either. This is what Victoria's secret body sprays SHOULD smell like.

I received this perfume as a sample when I ordered another perfume. This would be a beautiful perfume if the cedar wasn't so prominent. Its a fruity scent, I get lots of passionfruit but I just cannot get past the dominant cedar; its so minty and pine-like. It gets better in the dry down as the cedar becomes less dominant but its still there, wafting in the background. It smells similar to Bon Bon Pop which was an instant HATE for me

The opening of this is very nice and fruity. However, once the opening wares off (about 20-30 minutes on me) all I can smell is this specific type of musk that some people refer to as “sweaty musk” and coriander. Not a combination that I like. I think that how this fragrance will turn out has to do with particular skin chemistry. Therefore not a safe blind buy, needs to be tested really well on skin (not just initial spray).

Nuclear passion fruit scent. Super strong, I like it better than Kajal Eau de Parfum (purple juice) but they are similar in that a tiny smidge goes a long way. Silage? The length of a football field. And like other Kajal I’ve sampled, I have a hard time smelling anything natural. For people that like perfumes to announce their arrival 15 minutes before they enter the room, this is that perfume.

Very Very feminine Fruit cocktail with passion fruit and apple on a musk base People compare it to erba pura but they are different. Erba pura is more unisex. This is a fruit cake. If you want to smell like a fruit cake this is the one for you. Had to sell my bottle

Passionfruit bomb. Some woodiness as it wears, but a really a loud fragrance. I live in fear of being stuck next to someone on an extended flight wearing this type of thing.

I hate this (and I love Erba Pura). This smells so strongly of passionfruit, I just can't. Oh well.

Alright, so I’ve been rocking Dahab by Kajal for a bit, and honestly, it’s got this lowkey swagger to it. Nah, this one’s smooth—it kind of sneaks up on you, wraps around you, and suddenly, you’re smelling like you’ve got your life together. The first thing that hits you is this fresh apple and passionfruit vibe, like you’re walking through an orchard with the sun going down. But then, after a while, it shifts, and you get these warm, spicy notes mixed with some rich amber. It’s got this grown-up, layered thing going on, like it knows it doesn’t need to try hard to get your attention. The more you wear it, the more you appreciate those layers—it doesn’t stay the same, it keeps evolving. I’ve only worn it like 3 or 4 times, mostly in the fall, and that’s when it really shines. Something about that cool, crisp air makes the whole thing come alive—the spices feel warmer, and the fruity notes just pop. Here’s the kicker: it’s marketed as a ladies’ fragrance, but I’m a guy, and I don’t find it feminine at all. Honestly, I think anyone can pull this off, no matter who you are. It’s got that versatility, and I respect that. The sillage is just right—not too loud, but definitely noticeable. It’s like you’re leaving a trail without trying to. And the longevity? This stuff sticks around. Even after a whole day, I’m still catching whiffs of it on my skin and clothes. That’s exactly what you want in a fragrance What I dig most, though, is it’s not an everyday thing—it’s for those moments when you want to feel sharp, confident, and a little mysterious. You know kinda casual events, or when you just want to show up like you’re in control. It’s got this laid-back luxury vibe, like it’s classy but not trying too hard. At the end of the day, it’s clean, it’s warm, and it’s just got that edge and has this effortless style that works for anyone who knows how to carry themselves.

I don’t get any of that familiar Kirke or Erba Pura dna in this. This is crispy fresh fruity. The passionfruit is done in such a fresh and delicious way not like the TTs. This is gorgeous gorgeous! Love at first sniff, compliment getter, powerful enough to attract attention but within a few meters not too far. The opening with that apple is to die for! I’m obsessed. I thought I loved Almaz but this this is strong love! ❤️ Absolutely worth every penny. I cannot get enough of that opening it’s so juicy and mouthwatering and crisp at the same time. Too bad the opening doesn’t last too long but the mid and dry down are gorgeous too. As much as I love it and wear it I can see a man wearing this it’s not too feminine it’s actually pretty unisex.

I was nervous about my choice to blind buy this but gratefully it was a success. I’ve heard people say that it was a fairly safe blind buy, but I don’t think it is. You’d have to know that you like sour fruity fragrances. This isn’t a syrupy sweet fruity fragrance. It does have some sweetness to it but it’s more musky fruity. I think it’s unisex leaning feminine but anyone could pull this off. My husband wouldn’t wear it but if you like fem leaning frags this would be fine, like I said it’s not super sweet. I sprayed this about 6 times on my arms and shirt and it’s been about 12 hours and I still smell it. I’m really enjoying it and happy to have it in my collection.
