Kajal III

Big surprise for how hyped this one is. It does give Vibrato a good run for its money, as they are completely redundant to own for smell alone. It is not a watered-down version of Vibrato, especially since I find Kajal III simpler than the latter. However, if you do want to hold on Vibrato for the price point and better performance, etc. then I'd say the Kajal is an amazing option for a back up to wear out and about. I got my bottle for around $80 and, for the 6-7h I can smell it on me, it's such an exciting buy, although I find it too similar to the Tygar DNA to own anything else like it. Neither Vibrato nor this smell like Aqua de Dora, with the Kajal actually being even brighter and more refreshing than Vibrato. Again, I was surprised at how similar it is to Vibrato - minus the slight powder and noticeable greenness of the latter. A more obvious twist would have made this a 10/10 blin buy. It is an amazing fragrance and is a better buy for the cost-benefit it brings. Lovely bottle and presentation, though I'd love for it to have the metal plaque that Homme I had, rather than the paint that easily peels off.

I compared this one side by side with Vibrato and I like Kajal III a lot better, to my nose is a little sweeter, happier and smoother than Vibrato .It start very fresh sweet and uplifting and it stay like that for about 5-6 hours, projection is good( not beastly) for about 1.5 hrs and after that projects about 5 inches off of my skin until it gradually disappears around hour 6. It definitely doesn’t smell designerish and it has a very decent price at Jomashop, a great all around fragrance. If you like citrus fragrances this one is a totally safe blind buy, the only thing is this one leans masculine off my skin. Some people below me compared this one with Bleu the Chanel and I don’t find it similar at all, but always remember , perfumery is a very subjective art, everyone can potentially have a different perception of the same fragrance, no need to get mad about it, we’re here to enjoy beautiful scents.

More similar to Tygar than Vibrato, imo. This offers a more punchy grapefruit & citrus, minus the powdery nuances of Vibrato. Initially, I felt this was weak, but i’m coming to realize that it isn’t. Longevity is 7h+, not quite the monster that is Vibrato, but this is also much cheaper. I scored this for under $90, full. Can’t beat that, and personally prefer this to Vibrato as this smells more clean and classy. Biggest downside is the presentation, one of the most tacky, hideous bottle & cap combo I have encountered. The cap is metal, yet somehow feels cheaply made. PLEASE change the presentation.

Lovely grapefruit/citrus bomb with incredible freshness and longevity! This thing has garnered me plenty of compliments as well. I will say that I find it more sparkling and refreshing than Tygar or Vibrato and prefer it over the two actually. It has a mass appeal quality and could be a signature scent as it plays well in all seasons although it wouldn't be an initial reach in the winter. Plus you can find it at a very affordable price on discounters, compared the the other two.

Kevin Mathys was tasked by Kajal to create a faithful recreation of Tygar and he delivered it 110%. Unlike other replicas, which either lack Herbanate or are short on Ambroxan, III retains everything that made Tygar so iconic and on top of that, it amps up the citrus accord to the maximum, making the opening even juicier than the original.

A gorgeous fresh citrus opening with a warm woody amberie base that is intoxicating! As sniffer 65 said on his review, it comes close to Bleu De Chanel, but to me with a more citrus,fresh, and juicier opening. I can't stop smelling it!!!!!!!!! Citrus, amber, musk and ginger. Mass appealing, but most people are unfamiliar with this DNA. Smells better than tygar in my opinion, but does not last as long, very average performer, wouldn’t want it to be weaker. Smells fantastic, and price is okay too.

Fresh, easy to wear with an amazing scent profile. I already own Vibrato which is a love for me but I fell in love with this first before smelling Vibrato last year. Finally found a bottle for a good price and added this to the collection

What an absolute gem this fragrance is. Fresh, citrusy, elegant, long lasting. I have the Vibrato as well, and tbh I can't tell them apart. This one is for summer classy nights 10/10 Perfume

Sprayed it on me it lasted long but i believe this depends on each persons skin. Blend is good and smells fresh perfect for summer perfume.

Strongly reminds me of Blood Orange by Aaron Terence Hughes

I am not an advocate for clones over original fragrances, or a person who believes cheaper is better, but I'll say this about III... Yes, it smells like a fragrance in the exact same space as Tygar, with Tygar being one of the best, if not the best smelling fragrance in that space. Tygar is criminally expensive, but it is undeniably fantastic. III *does* smell good too, but other than being in the same scent profile, it smells almost identical to another Tygar clone called Théorème by Rue Broca. IDENTICAL. I own Tygar, Théorème, and am sampling and testing III, and III smells more like Théorème than it does Tygar. Let me explain how... Ambroxan, for me, when done poorly can give a fragrance a sharpness, sourness and a sting that gives the effect of a blend lacking smoothness. In Tygar, the blend is absolutely perfect. No sharpness, no sting - all smooth. 10/10. In Théorème, the Ambroxan is quite sharp and it lacks the smoothness of Tygar, which gives it a slight hint of "cheapness". 6.5/10 for smoothness. The problem with III is that the Ambroxan feels IDENTICAL to Théorème in its jagged, sourness, and intrusiveness. And because it doesn't smell as smooth as Tygar, it *feels* cheaper, and *feels* more like a clone than a fragrance that is simply similar to Tygar. That can be explained away by labelling some notes as "lemon zest" and "lemon soda", but in reality (at least to me) that's just a clever way of explaining away Ambroxan that isn't as smooth as it could be. All of that said, I really do like III, just like I really like Théorème, but they're too similar to justify the price of III.

I had a 5ml on Tygar but it's been a while since I've had my nose on it so I won't talk about it here. I own a bottle of Sospiro Vibratio. Kajal III smells amazing with a mass-appealing opening that sparkles. No harshness to me and the ambroxian blends perfectly. Overall no qualms with quality. After that amazing opening, it calms down to an arms-length scent—moderate projection and sillage with 5-6 hours in duration. For a 25% concentration EDP I think is decent for how bright and ethereal this is. I agree that if you have any of the interpretations of the DNA (Vibrato, Tygar, Ingenious Ginger, etc.) this is redundant. Once it drys down it starts to smell very very close to Vibrato which in turn would be close to the others. Vibrato is more creamy and has a slight powder but not full-on Iris. Vibrato feels about double the strength of Kajal III and pushes for hours with above-average performance all around. Overall, Id take Vibrato and spend a few more dollars. There is a place for this one. If you are looking for something that will be noticed but is appropriate for work and other situations with that context, this is the one. The price on discounters is great. Vibrato is too much for me to wear to work but is a great wear on my free time. Damn near beastly. Kajal III is big (5-10ml) Sample worthy for sure.

I don't understand how no one sees how close this is the Bleu De Chanel. True, the citrus in this is a photorealistic grapefruit, but the citrus, ginger, ambroxen and woods is so close to BDC. Even the fact that it is on the dry, mature side, that it is pleasant and versatile while not really grabbing me emotionally. Much more of a direct clone than most of the so-called clones out there. I actually prefer this to BDC because it is juicier, a touch more passionate. And the price is about the same ($125) as BDC. If I had to pick only one, I'd go with this one; but since I already have BDC, this would just be redundant.

Kajal III is worth it for an almost photorealistic grapefruit top - rind, pith, juice, etc. Dry-down is a well-executed ambroxan-laden musky amber with a hint of citrus tartness. Kajal III contains the slight astringency that makes the men's side of the perfume section tough for me to wear. But this is much smoother than many in the genre. Worth a sniff if you can get your hands on it.

In my bind test I got a blast of what came across as lime or grapefruit, bright, acidic, and followed by a fresh aromatic which reserved itself from being too spicy or herbal. However this quickly faded and in not too much time reduced to a skin scent of a bit of citrus with a nice aromatic behind. This is where I go from liking it to wanting more. The opening is so bright and refreshing I wish more would hang out on longer, and bigger. Now, I know I smelled this in Milan once and then I really liked it, but don't recall it being so quiet. I'm comparing this to a few citrus scents I wear now and this feels faded compared to them at an hour plus later. Looking at the notes, they are all there, except the amber and rosemary don't really make themselves too present. It's really grapefruit up front, and a lemon ginger spritz after that. I am curious if this reacts a bit differently in the heat and projects a bit more in the summer sun, which is exactly what this wants. I like it but want more of that bubbly nose tickle from the spritz in my face.

I have over a year collecting a testing fragrances as a hobby. During this time, I have never seen such an exact replica of other fragrance! This thing is Bleu the Channel EDP almost exact clone! I guess the only difference is that it has a bit more performance and a bit more citruses in the opening, but I swear that they are almost identical (bleu the Channel was one of the first fragrances I owned from like 7 years ago, up to this day). I'm not a fan of clones, so I think I'm gonna stick with my old reliable Bleu de Channel EDP.

This has a very lively opening. Then after about 5 min...To me this is indistinguishable from Roja Burlington 1819 and I wasn’t in love with 1819. This is better for both the price and longevity though. I do enjoy the grapefruitish scent but I’m not huge on citrus freshies which is all this and 1819 are.

initial test - a lovely lemon lime soda at the open. quickly moves to soapy lavender laundry scent. i didn't wait for the dry down. this is ok, but not for me.

Opening is varied compared to its peers, then settles into the same citrus ambroxan dry-down. Worth a sample, nothing more imo.

I have tried two fragrances from this brand this one and Kajal IV. My conclusion is that this brand is not a niche brand in the concept of creating creative fragrances, using novel raw materials, creating unique scents, or reaching to perfection in a scent. It's a more luxurious type of brand to target a wealthy audience, especially in Middle Eastern countries or North America. Talking about the scent, it's very similar to Sospiro and Ingenious ginger. The trio of citrus-ginger-amber has been very successful in recent years and each company tries to offer something in this category. This one like the others has a very nice and attractive scent. It opens with very bright uplifting and fizzy top notes of grapefruit and other citrus notes on warm spicy ginger and amber notes. The projection and longevity are good but too expensive for what you get. As I said it's a luxury brand with a high price tag. 7/10

You can really throw a dart at the walls and pick either Tygar, Vibrato or this iteration here. You definitely want to sample to make sure you’re cool with the minor nuances which is minimal but these are the top 3 in this grapefruit category and I dare say Kajal is number one due to the price alone then Vibrato which comes off a bit like lady’s deodorant sometimes if I’m honest. I think Kajal can be the winner here. An honorable mention would be Sora Dora. I hope though Kajal changes the bottles. It’s kinda tacky and the cap feels weird. Sospiro looks very class but sure it’s about the juice and Kajal is a bit more zingier, more carbonated. It’s really a close call. Vibrato is very much still too expensive compared to Kajal too unless Kajal goes up in price where I’d want to grab a bottle before the price goes up heavy. 8.5/10

I mean this is really nice if you like the Tygar, Sospiro or Ingenious Ginger DNA. To my nose, and honestly in the air, the difference is very miniscule. To the extent that if I had one on each arm and asked you to smell, you'd struggle with the difference. Although, out of the four, this is probably my favorite. It's blended very well, like Tygar, which I find that Sospiro and Ingenious Ginger both struggle with. The latter two I always smell some type of sharp, overly bitter notes. Really nice, and if you can find it on discount, it'll be worth it. But for me, it costs around $250, and I'm debating whether or not it's good enough to get a full bottle. Don't get me wrong, I'm a harsh critic, and I do still really like this. 7.5/10

Smells like Tygar/Vibrato/Ingenious Ginger, but it's more white floral and by virtue, smells more like Vibrato which also has that cleanly/mildly soapy white floral accord on-skin and less like Ingenious Ginger which has that Ani-esque smooth vanilla on-skin. Blend quality in the opening is lackluster, some vibes of dishwashing soap. Final drydown is ~85-90% the same thing as everything else in this category, albeit it will be less fruity than some and less sweet than others. Performance is dead average. No point to buying this.

Yes, very similar to Bvlgari Tygar, Kajal III is a very enjoyable zesty grapefruit-lemon- ginger-ambroxan concoction. Zesty and tart, just as one would expect with ginger, grapefruit, and lemon. Its pretty intense, almost candied, just like Tygar. A joy to wear. The "lemon soda" is a cute touch. I should have worn Tygar on one wrist to compare more closely, but from memory, they are very close. It seems like Kajal may be less expensive, so would be the best value.

Sexy fragrance, I don't have either Vibrato or Tygar, but I collect fragrances, niche, designer, and dupes, and what I do have is decants of Tygar and Vibrato, and Kajal III is more subtle, softer than this 2, but still an amazing summer perfume, I can see the comparisons, but if you are in to this tipe of fragrances, belive me when I say you wont be disapointed in Kajal III at all, No BS.

Nothing special. Another fragrance trying to emulate the DNA of Tygar's, Vibrato, etc.. Kajal III smells harsher and heavier on the Ambroxan. Not that pleasant for me. I tested this fragrance next to Vibrato with my friends and everyone preferred considerably more Vibrato.
