Kajal IV

Kajal IV by Kajal: one of the best blends I have ever smelled. Warm, semi fresh, highly spiced, an incredible sweet base, and drunken with eternal longevity, it only completely evaporates after about two showers. Its opening is the most majestic part of the composition. It is one of those fragrances where the combination of notes creates something entirely new; the sensation is like an airy mist, mega sophisticated and intriguing. After this explosion, the perfume settles to begin its development. The top notes simply remind me of a Negroni cocktail, perfect! The green notes give a slightly bitter touch to the spiced boozy accord, which builds this comparison for me. Not challenging at all, the leather is of the highest quality, just like the other notes. Very robust, ideal for anyone who wants to make a statement, but at the same time highly sophisticated; it wont arrive kicking anyone out of the room. Its evolution develops to create a comfortable perfume. In the drydown, the fragrance showcases less of the herbal and boozy side, putting a grand emphasis on the dates and other sweet notes, together with the leather. Not cloying at all. It becomes truly very comfortable and smooth. After a day, your body and clothes will still have traces of the molecules. Any interaction with water or sun will cause the fragrance to expand again, presenting a one hundred percent high quality and noticeable vanilla side. It will genuinely start to project all over again.

It recalls the smell of the night air in the Savannah, the rediscovered tranquility, and the conjunction of primordiality: the 4 elements, the 4 seasons, the 4 cardinal points. A stripping away of the superfluous to reunite with nature: a hymn to essentiality. The rich woody facets of Davana are combined with green, spicy and slightly alcoholic notes: the result is a fragrance that drove me crazy and that I would always wear. It gives comfort, calm, warmth. Ideal for the colder seasons. Ended up on wishlist.

I received this as a sample and it is a gem. Unfortunately, it was an immediate "no" from my wife. Maybe a good thing because it saves me money! 🤣 I sprayed it twice and it flooded the house. She could smell it three rooms away and immediately started to complain. But really, what is there to complain about? Fantastic and smooth. Wonderful woods and leather with the right amount of sweetness (just a touch) from the dates. I find it intoxicating. Kajal is starting their KiSS program soon. Still a mystery. I had contemplated participating. Not sure it will be well received at my house. This is my first sample from the house. A fantastic start in my opinion.

One of my favourite discoveries of 2024. I like leather and the combination with the sweet date accord and light florals, it is unique and works really well. Sweet fruity leather or vanilla leather combos have been done before, but this is a fresh spin on the formula. It’s simultaneously rugged and cozy, a little exotic. The sweetness is just at the right level for me, anymore might be cloying depending on your sweet tolerance. Performance is solid and an added bonus is the bottle and atomizer are as well.

After two full wears, is it just me or this is very similar to aqua di parma leather on steroids ? Later edit: After a few other wears, I am aware that this is not aqua di parma leather but it is very unique but it reminds me somehow of Oud Stallion and Memo Iberian leather but the dates rendered here I could not detect in any of these two. This is pure masculine and could not imagine this on a woman.

This opens very heavily with that leather note. To the point that for an instant, I thought it had oud in it. After maybe 10 minutes, it starts to develop. Rum, cardamon, and dark leather notes are amazing. They stick with you until it gets combined with the woods at the base. Making it a very rich, strong aroma. Kajal has done it right with all the samples that i have tested. Tested on a 2ml decant

Replace the Tom Ford Tuscan Leather raspberry note with some other fruits, and more prominently dates, and you get Kajal IV. Powerful, smells great, but...how many leather fragrances do you need. If you don't have another one or two strong leather fragrances, get this one. The quality is amazing, as is the performance, and the scent profile is beautiful, masculine and very very well blended.

Strong. Shisha smoke and suede leather. Very stable fragrance with tremendous longevity. Original scent, it doesn't remind me of any other bottle. One of my favorites I've discovered this year. People vote for winter, for me these are hot summer perfumes. 9.96/10

Really enjoy the sample I have. Soft airy leather with a wisp of smoke, dry spice and a slightly sweet cream touch on the dry down. If you enjoy leather, masculine fragrances, then I think you will enjoy this. Will definitely get a full size when I can.

Strong, beast mode and enjoyable smoky leather fragrance. You will make your presence felt. Be careful with the number of sprays and probably best for special occasions. Shukran Habibi!

ok, this is currently my favorite perfume right. It smells like sweet, smoky leather with a little tobacco. So, so good.

Tried to blind test but caught a glimpse of the golden test sprayer, setting me into a level of refined, maybe oudy-rich expectations. My initial thought was it reminds me of the smell of a luxury hotel lobby in, actually, I forgotten where that was, but it was nice. I liked that smell, it was warm and probably amber-oudy. This isn't really that, but what I did get was a warm, not to big, hintly syrupy, vanilla with wood and the slightest touch of spice. Something earthy in there keeps it grounded (assuming the leather looking at the notes now). At times I get whiffs of smokey caramel, or ashy tobacco, but it's pretty mild, not really projecting too strong, and I really had to smell myself at times to know it was still there. And it was. Always. So, really looking at the notes now I would have to say it's a pretty mellow mix of the leather, dates, vanilla, and woody notes, with the green notes really taking a back seat, and the herb and spice notes rounding it out. It feels versatile, the fall, a night out, low key setting, but doesn't feel sexy or romantic, just a little moody like that hotel lobby. Stag cocktail party, smell nice, but not pushing it. I'm sure if you layer it on heavy you could make people kinda hate you, so don't. It's says I have a personality, but I don't need to shove it in your face. I think I could get behind this for everyday brisk fall weather, drinks with friends, adult pumpkin carving, etc Going to the Opera? Nope, going to need something with bigger shoulders.

Smooth and sweet leather. Sight raspberry accord but it's mainly a very very smooth and monstrous projecting leather. This is incredibly smooth and it's NUCLEAR. Light on the sprays. I received this as a free sample and I sprayed once on my arm it's dominating although it's very very smooth with nothing harsh about it. This is a masculine sweet leather fragrance. Not for high heat and not really for casual wear. Craftsmanship, smoothness, and quality are top tier: 9.3/10 For a overall leather fragrance (not really my style) it's a solid 9.5. The smoothness is incredible but just make sure you like and don't choke out the room.

Absolute Banger! Very strong masculine scent, this fragrance pushes & screams! Some of the aspects of IV are to strong & pronounced for me. I think the date note & the over the top smokieness made this hard to wear for me. It felt like it's a couple notches above Royal Tobacco in terms of loudness. You can tame it a little with less sprays...beautiful presentation & great value for the money. My bottle came with 1.5 ml samples of Homme, Homme II & Faris as well as a beautiful pamphlet and a cool sticker. Definitely worth sampling!

Without looking at any notes I assumed plum immediately. Still firm but just starting to sweeten and ripen. I guess the leather came across to me more like a suede mix of earthy, dry, grainy brown and grey notes. Leans towards horse saddle more than new car seat. I also get something a bit fecal but not quite recognizable as oud or castoreum. This is quite funky on my skin. It will definitely be an acquired taste. Raw, sweetened animal hide. 7.9/10

Enjoyable, powdery ( not baby powder ) woody & spices, hint of tobacco in a very subtle way. It's enjoyable and good to check out for the colder weather (Winter/Fall) It can go either way also in terms for a man or woman. It doesn't lean to strongly either way. So yea, worth a try before a buy.

Very nice fragrance if you like leather scents, and the dates are prominent too. To my nose it smells like Armani Code Profumo and Aqua Di Parma Leather mixed.

Sickly sweet new leather car interior. Not for me. Edit: I stand by the above and this fragrance really isn't for me; however, it /is/ a very well crafted scent, it's artistic; and for the right person, a great match.

I don't know how ANYONE could say this is feminine. It is NOT. It is straight leather- no chaser

This one has a rich and complex oriental scent that resembles the perfume style of Middle Eastern countries. The cardamom and sweet oriental notes are more pronounced, while the green and aromatic notes are subdued. The leather note is also quite subtle, but I can detect an interesting blend of palm tree and date accords, which might be intended to appeal to customers in the Middle East rather than creating a unique scent that one would expect from a niche brand. It is a room-filler type of a fragrance, and even on a blotter, it filled an area around me. I am not a fan of this type of heavy, warm and sweet fragrance. Too expensive. 7/10

Sweet-balsamic amber fragrance on a pretty poorly-blended musky-woodsy base. The leather only comes out like 2-3 hours into the drydown on my skin. Smells a lot like Carner Barcelona's amber fragrances (Botafumeiro, Ambar del Sur and Megalium).

Very supple leather/suede vibe with amber and a slight PEACH vibe. No peach so must be dates mixing with some other notes. I like this

Incredibly potent. Sprayed once I'm a car in the air and could smell it in a house hours later. Never experienced that before.

this is a nice done leather smock and not overly smocked leather fragrance with a mild spice to it . Bottle worthy
