Topaz by Kajal Topaz is an amazing and interesting release by Kajal. Smelling wonderful. Topaz by Kajal smells good. It plays. It teases. It walks into the room with a smile you can hear before you even see it. And that’s what makes it so easy to wear any day and any season. My first feeling is like someone just dropped a handful of candied citrus and sugared berries into warm light. Lime, rum and orange blossom sparkle together like a sweet little firework. Then the mood shifts. The sweetness relaxes, the fruits soften and this creamy amber cashmere glow begins to roll in. It’s cozy without getting heavy and bright without turning sharp A soft rose drifts through. Not the dramatic kind. More like a petal caught in warm syrup, giving body without stealing the spotlight. This is NOTHING like Devotion or its Arabian dupes. This is so different and stands out on its own. Opening is lemony but not too much- it is also quite fruity whilst Devotion isn’t. I can also perceive the rum, floral notes and cassis. It’s woody and fresh in a way and also a bit musky on the base. Think of a sugary musk though. Ambergris is the strongest note in the last phase. The rose is not as detectable as it is by LAMAR. Projection and longevity are not above average I would say. I’m letting it macerate now to have a better performance and get the most out of it. If you haven’t yet tried it stop comparing it to other fragrances that you imagine it may smell like. It’s getting ridiculous now. And you’re WRONG in doing so. Misleading a lot of people here is not a nice thing to do.

I am a fan of the house of Kajal. Topez is my third fragrance from them and it does not disappoint. This is a fun take on Amber with a burst of citrus in the opening to a smooth dry down of Amber and Cashmere woods. It has that familiar Kajal DNA that I would recognize anywhere! At first spray the candied lemon and hints of rose are the stand out. I am not a big fan of rose but this feels different. Its a creamy light rose that is not overpowering or even the star of the show. For me this is a Candied Amber, fun playful, just sweet enough and perfect for any occasion.I would say this is a fall fragrance, but wear what you love, whenever you want! 💜

Lemon - Candied Lemon not the lemon cleaner. It is a bright, slightly sweet, citrus fragrance. Definitely a fruity floral category which I enjoy. The lime starts to brighten up the fragrance after a couple of minutes and it has a sturdy base of amber/ambroxan. The mid I do get flecks of green from the cassis. Definitely a little fragrance journey and your nose bounces through the notes. This is an adult wearable fruit loops. I can almost pick up the devotion parallel. But that's it, it's just a parallel. This is more ambery and mature. I'm not a fan on citrus in the slightest but this definitely makes me reconsider. I can't put my finger on what makes this so intriguing but it's blended to perfection. I got this as a tester from a TPG Mystery Box and am seriously considering a full sized bottle.

I didn’t see this coming. First of all, this is a perfect profile for my taste, fresh and warm at the same time. I don’t get the candied lemon that much, but it is citrusy and boozy but in a summery manner. It reminds me of warm weather, colorful dresses, first dates. Love it!

This was another release I was excited for. I really love the opening in this. It has a recognisable Kajal vibe to it, but it quickly dissipates and the black lemons & candied lemon mix starts to come through. This also smells gorgeous. The combination of these makes the scent sweet but also fresh. I get a bit of elderflower, but was hoping for much more. As it dries down I can smell the blackcurrant followed by the rose. I’m not currently getting any rum. The rose actually dominates in the final dry down on me. I’m not keen on rose scents at all, so it could be my nose/brain are focusing on this note for this reason. It’s giving “Delina”mixed with “Gorse” but add some sweetness. It’s like a light summer freshie version of Delina. Not what I was expecting at all. I really wanted this to be a unique, boozy, sweet lemon and elderflower combo, so currently disappointing for me. Good longevity. This does really project. Four sprays and my fiancé could smell it as soon as he walked into our home from two doors away. Definitely a sweet freshie, but suitable for all year round. I don’t dislike it, but it’s not for me.

#73 of My Fragrance Journey - Kajal Topaz: Still Trying to See the Gem I’ve been wearing Topaz a few times now and... I’m not settled on it. Not fully. It keeps shifting on me. Or maybe I’m the one shifting. I expected warmth. Booze. Something sun-dazed and golden. But the opening? It’s loud. Brighter than I was ready for. It’s this candied lemon - thick, sticky, almost glowing. Not fresh. Not juicy. More like crystallised sugar clinging to citrus peel. It actually borders on neon. There’s something playful about it, but also something... artificial in a deliberate way. Like it wants to sparkle more than breathe. I kept searching for the rum. That promise of intoxication. But it never really arrives. Just a ghost of it. Like an empty glass that remembers what was inside. And then the rose comes in. This is where I start hesitating. The rose feels heavy. Familiar. Not offensive, not ugly - just... known. I’ve met this rose before. Many times. It doesn’t surprise me. It doesn’t challenge me. It sits there, warm and sweet, slightly dated in tone. Not vintage in a cool, editorial way. More like safe. Predictable. I hate saying that, but it’s true. It reminds me of other things I’ve worn, things I’ve already moved through. But the texture. That’s where Kajal always gets me. It’s creamy. Smooth. Expensive-feeling. Like thick fabric between your fingers. There’s comfort here. Real comfort. The scent wraps instead of projecting. It becomes part of your skin rather than sitting on top of it. Hours later, it settles into this amber-musk glow that’s honestly beautiful. Quiet. Intimate. It doesn’t try to impress anymore. It just exists. Warm. Steady. Present. Performance is strong too. Eight hours, easily. It stays with you. Maybe that’s part of the point. But... it’s very sweet. And I keep coming back to that. Sometimes it feels radiant. Other times, a little too much. Like it’s trying too hard to be adored. I wanted mystery. Something with edges. What I got instead was something kind. Polished. Easy to like. And maybe that’s the problem. Or maybe I just haven’t understood it yet. Vibe: candied citrus, soft rose, golden musk Mood: warm, safe, familiar Performance: excellent - 8+ hours Verdict: Beautifully made. But I’m still waiting for it to surprise me. Contestant 3 of Nice December. First impressions: A very feminine-leaning citrus-ish floral scent. It reminds me of some person from the past but I can't remember whom. Main Review: This scent, which for some reason is called a "unisex", is in fact very much a female perfume. It's sweet, well-incorporated scent with blended notes. For me it's 5/10 since it's not what I'm looking for. However the rating by a female friend of mine is a solid 8.5/10.

Pafory Advent Calendar 2025 - day 3: First impression: Opens with florals and a hint of citrus — I can pick out rose, plenty of sweetness, and prominent musk on the drydown. Questi "profumi" sono un'accozzaglia di roba chimica senza senso assemblata a caso. Questo odore di limoni e altra roba aspra e amara lo trovo disgustoso. Oggi ho provato ben 13 profumi di queste case "artistiche" o di nicchia per dirlo come piace ai prifumieri indottrinati di oggi,e non ce ne è stato uno che mi sia piaciuto. Tornando a questo Topaz, non mi profumerei mai con questa roba. Agrumi sintetici. Non è sexy,non è sensuale, (cosa c'è di sensuale nel limone) e come la maggior parte di questi odori, se uno li indossa il giorno che li ha comprati perche è eccitato dall'acquisto, il giorno seguente sfido che lo rindossera'. Sono profumi distanti dall'umano.

I don’t understand this at all. I usually like Kajal scents & DNA but this just smells like calone to me!! Fishy and ocean I’m so confused. Trying to scrub it off!!

So was sent a tester of this & today I thought that I'd try it out. So I'll start by saying I like it but it's also something I'm not sure that I'd pick up in a boutique, possibly a bit too sweet for me. Somewhere at the back of my brain, it reminds me of something, possibly it is another Kajal. So no rose for me but a lot of sweetness, I get the Devotion comparisons but the candied lemon does make it different, for my tastes I wish the lime had more of a tartness to offset the sweetness a bit more. Not sure how big the scent bubble projects but I'd be wary of over-spraying as the personal bubble is huge! Also not sure if you could get away with this in high heat, I could definitely see it becoming a bit sickly. So yes I like it but it's not at the top of my list.

I am absolutely blown away by how well the cashmere blends with the fruitier notes. It creates this warm enveloping feeling of somebody who really loves you passionately, but also softly. The top notes of the rum mixed with the lime make this a perfect summer fragrance, but not your typical floral fruity fresh one. I am also partially biased toward this fragrance since cassis is one of my favorite notes in perfumes and i thoroughly enjoy the use of cassis for a deeper more sensual fragrance, rather than its typical use in super fresh shampoo-like perfumes such as cassiopea, queenside, Si by Armani. I got a decant of this and i think im going to go witht he full bottle !

I thought kajal were just good at doing fruits, but this proves they can turn even a citrus fragrance into something really nice too. It's not a fresh or realistic citrus, but that's okay who wants to smell like a real lemon or citrus fruit that's just sour and weird. Kajal understands that and they make wearable perfume and this is great I love it
