Pure Blanc

I am not clear why it is named Pure Blanc, and the packaging and bottle are golden. However, recently, I have reviewed "Pure Eau Blanche | Karen Low", which should be a flanker of Pure Blanc. They share many facets. D.N.A. is the same. Still, Pure Blanc is more resinous, spicy, and balmy, whereas Pure Eau Blanche is more ozonic, floral, and watery. Pure Blanc has enough driftwood inside to tell a story. The main accords are marine, green, fougére, amber, and musky. It opens with a pervasive aura of refreshing citrus accords that lingers slightly and caresses the senses. The top notes include zesty bergamot, mandarin, and the tropical character of sugary pineapple. It doesn’t matter how many citrus and fruit juices there are because the scent releases a balmy, solid aroma. The salty and slight mildew nuances prevail. Right off the bat, it reminds me of another delightful cologne I cannot name, but I am pretty sure I have already smelled it. Knotted and gnarled woods drift to shore, drying to soothingly rich tonalities in the salty sea air. That’s the redolence I get when the cologne enters the next phase. As a heart of spicy nutmeg twists around the depth of juicy plum and fragrant grains of wet driftwood. The perfumer used the nutmeg on a par with "L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Issey Miyake", and the two scents share a similar vibe. They are precisely the same at this stage. That’s what it reminded me of at the beginning. A light nautical note gives the composition an aquatic hue, in which the heart chords sound sparkling and iridescent undertones. I seem the perfumer crafted it intending to provoke the feeling of freedom you experience on the shore of a beach on a cloudy, fabulous day as the waves break along the coast and the sea salt-saturated airbrushes across your face. A vibrant and captivating aromatic affair of robust woodsy nuances, mingling with fresh breezes & earthy warmth, embraces me on the last stage. Once it dries down, however, that blast of sharpness fades, and you get a crisp, watery floral scent that on my skin gets better and better, and in the deep dry down, this gets more powdery, woody, and smooth. A pinch of clean patchouli blends with dry cedarwood and the balmy effect still lingers in the background. I can smell the mix of violet and the suede, and the former is different here. Most violet colognes I have smell different from this one. Powdery violets, suede, slightly smoky ambergris, and spotless musk remain close to the skin. Simple yet unique. A hidden gem in the fragrance world. The unique combination of watery and dirty, earthy tones sets Pure Blanc apart from the rest of the aromatic aquatics in the market. Very smooth and clean, like clean folded laundry, with bits of violets curled in the middle stuffed into a suede basket. I like it, and it’s better for warm seasons like fall and spring. Although it reminds me of "L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Issey Miyake", still it is not a clone. It’s a versatile cologne that suits any occasion, casual, formal, or date. I have worn it out in public, and I guarantee you will get compliments because it’s an incredibly sexy fragrance. Unique and highly underrated! It’s not a longevity and projection monster, but it will get you through any other occasion that requires you to be in close quarters with people, making this a perfect work scent. The last word, I am impressed with this one and especially with the price. I base the review on a 100ml bottle I have owned since August 2019.

House of Karen Low really comes out with some eloquent, affordable bangers. In addition to Pure Oceanic and Pure Dreamer (not on Fragrantica), I have Pure Blanc and Xchange Wonderman and each one of them is amazing. I found my Blanc for just $14.99 at TJ Maxx and bought two of them because the bottle not being transparent, you never know if you're getting full bottle when they're just sitting out for rando's to spray, and I wanted to have plenty of this juice in my collection. The initial blast is a sharp citrus but that quickly relaxes into a comforting clean linen type of scent. Super clean. No dark mysterious undertones here. Just a nice, refreshing smell, like opening the windows on the first day of spring with a small flower garden below. Semi-dryer sheet vibes but with a suedey backdrop that keeps it on the masculine side. And for a cheapie, this surprisingly stays with you for hours. 5+ hours sitting at my desk, I still get plenty whiffs of it from just 2 - 3 sprays on my neck and collar. This stuff just puts you in a good mood. Ingredients include: Citral - a main component of citrus fruit's peel oil Eugenol - a chemical compound found in certain plants, such as cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, basil, and bay leaves Linalool - a naturally occurring terpene alcohol with a pleasant floral and spicy aroma, present in the essential oils of many plants, including lavender, cinnamon, and citrus fruits Coumarin - a naturally occurring organic compound with a sweet smell that is found in many plants, including cinnamon, tonka beans, fennel, aniseed, and licorice root

Really impressed with this one and especially for the price !! For being a cheap fragrance it’s slightly synthetic in the opening as you get a bright,semi sharp lemon and floral smell that smells generic but still nice ! (In the opening it reflects its price point but the magic is in the mid and dry down ) Once this dries down however that sharpness and syntheticness dies down and you get a really fresh, crisp, watery floral scent that on my skin gets better with time and in the deep dry down this gets more powdery and smooth. This smells like freshly washed laundry setting out to dry on a hot day. Performance on this is great as well ! It projects very well for an hour but quickly dies down to a more personal scent but is still noticeable up close and in passing ! It lasts on my skin 6-10 hours which was also very surprising!! Overall rating -8.5 out of 10 !! One of my personal fave cheapies that is well worth the price and more (In the mid and opening this reminds me of Boss Unlimited but in the deep dry down it actually reminds me of Kiton Men)

This fragrance started my Journey. I love this scent. I have gotten more compliments and people asking me what I am wearing with this scent than Aventus,Savauge,Explorer,light blue eau intense and Bleu De Chanel combined. I know the house Karen Low is known for making clones of popular fragrances,but I cannot find anything that smells similar to this. I have been looking for years to find out if this scent is a clone of a higher quality fragrance. I have learned Karen Low is owned by a company named Geparlys,but I can't find anymore information on this scent. Really the only thing I can find is the same scent profile and description everywhere I look. I can find this fragrance at TJ Max for $12.99. It has become one of my life's missions to find the fragrance this is a clone of.

I don't know the scent of Allure Sport, but it does not smell like Lacoste. I bought the cologne at Marshall's when it was $13. I bought it as a work cologne. Which quickly became the cologne I used alot. It last about 6 hours on my skin. It does not smell cheap even though it is very affordable. It is definitely office friendly. This cologne and 9 pm are the most complimentary affordable colognes I use.

Wow! I paid less than $20 for this on Amazon and I am blown away by the wonderful scent of it. Can't wait to wear it to work! I'm no good at picking out the different fragrance notes, but all I can say is that this smells like an expensive fragrance, and I think it smells just freaking Amazing. I am over the moon that I got such a great scent at such a great price. Incredible. 10/10

Powdery violets and suede, slightly smoky ambergris, and very clean musk, lasts for hours. It's very much Green Irish Tweed, but much smoother and cleaner, like a really fresh & clean folded batch of laundry, with bits of violets folded in-between tucked into a suede hamper. I like it, and it's definitely better for the cold of autumn and winter.

To my untrained nose man this smells pleasant. Like white clean idk if it makes sense. No note is too much or annoying. Like clean room room just clean I think it’s the ambergris but I’m not sure. For 13 dollars and 100 ml you forsure are not going to regret it

Smooth musk, blend in some suede and top it off with a little violet. This beauty is simple, and very well done. Scent: 8 Sillage: 6 Longevity: 6 Quality: 7 I've just purchased another bottle of this versatile scent.

I've posted a review on this before, as it smells exactly like unpredictable sport by Glenn perri, though I have to say out of the 2 the unpredictable sport smells a little less synthetic and has a bit more richness and depth. And for those reasons I prefer the unpredictable. It's slightly more expensive than pure blanc and it's a lot harder to find. Because it's hard to find I wear the Karen lowe more. While researching chanel allure homme sport and extreme, I found this. I ended up selling both my allure sport and extreme versions and keeping the Karen low and unpredictable. Both chanel bottles were pre 2015 and the extreme was the original concentee version. So this should tell you how much I like these 2 cheap fragrances. I don't get the longevity that other reviewers have claimed but for 13 bucks a bottle from your local tj maxx you can afford to reapply frequently throughout the day. Very refreshing, clean, and intimate, I get a watery and musky vibe that lasts throughout the fragrance, and though the longevity and silage are not the greatest, I catch wisps floating around throughout the day. Very subtle and safe. I couldn't imagine anyone complaining in any setting. Super safe blind buy. Definitely a spring and summer scent. The way I decide whether I am going to keep a fragrance or sell it , is by how often I gravitate towards wearing it. Even if I choose not to I usually think about it regardless.

When a bought this fragrance 5 or 6 months ago, I liked it the 1st spray. Then I smelled it very close, and thought it is too synthetic or the ambergris was not "wowing" me. I put it down for a while, and picked it back up this summer. This fragrance is not bad, especially at this price point. My point above speaks to the purpose of this fragrance. It is a fragrance you spray to get "Oh, you smell nice" or "Oh, you smell good." You do not wear this fragrance to show off it's complexity or quality of notes. It just a good cheapie to garner compliments, and with that said it is a good cheapie!!! Now, how does it smell? It smells like an aquatic suede fragrance!!! For this cheapie to smell good with those two vibes, but not be complex, is a major accomplishment. It feels creamy and aquatic (water like) with the violet giving it that little extra it needs to smell inviting. Very masculine, but still has a youthful feel. I asked a women's perspective, and she said, "It smells like, yeah, you going out!" LOL. longevity: 4 hrs, for me. projection 2 hrs, for me. Usage: All year, anytime, any situation. Karen Low Pure Blanc is BRIGHT AIRY FRESH MUSKY SOAPY CLEAN smells like musk & soap powder, like clean laundry & fresh linen scented dryer sheets; the opening is feminine bright musk & soapy, the femininity of the musk, and soapy-ness, turns down as it dries & gets a tad powdery; good scent composition notes blend well especially for the price (slightly synthetic which helps it project, but not off putting); similar to Chanel Allure Homme Sport but only the airy fresh clean accord of CAHS (not same quality or as sweet doesn't have the orange & tonka); also similar to Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc (White) but without the bubblegum sweetness & more soapy & powdery; Ageless unisex scent good for Spring, Summer, Fall, Day-time, Casual setting(s). Projection/Sillage' is GOOD, radiates a nice scent bubble within 5ft w/ scent trail, especially within the 1st hr. Performance/Longevity is GOOD, 3-4 hours of moderate 2-3ft projection (not beastly), if worn outdoors you'll need to spray liberally (i find it too synthetic to wear heavy indoors), last on clothes 24+hrs.

I own pure blanc and a cologne called unpredictable sport by Glenn perri. They are exactly the same. I bought both after doing research on chanel allure homme sport clones.these 2 were the best suggestions after versace homme. I also now own allure homme sport and to my nose they both more closely resemble the extreme version of chanel allure homme sport. I prefer to wear the unpredictable sport and the pure blanc than I do CAHS. BOTH are such beautiful fragrances and the silage and longevity for both are way better than the real deal. I'm seriously considering selling my chanel because id rather wear the clones. I definitely recommend everyone checking them out.

Strong enough for a man, made for a woman. It has been done before, yet very pleasing long lasting. It has a Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed vibe. But toned down and smoother. I could never get into this fragrance until I experienced it on my wife. This a nice, slight bold spring season scent on a woman. Karen Low may benefit in selling this fragrance unisex. Green Irish Tweed for women.

A very easy-to-wear musk that's less light and flowery than Jovan's Musk fragrances. It's also somewhat less synthetic. The violet leaf and tiny amount of suede are very nice touches. This is the kind of watery, airy, clear, fresh fragrance you can wear just about anywhere--even somewhere where you usually would not wear fragrance.

smells alot like armaf hunter with musk.armaf hunter is for summer yet this smells identical but can also be worn in cold?then i shall wear it in the summer and winter.soapy,armafy,cedary,musky. update:i am really put off by the strong over powering musk scent.

My Fiance used to wear this when I first met him. I thought it was an expensive cologne. Come to find out it was a wonderfully made cheapie. I have yet to come across something else that smells like it.

Very pleasant ozonic musk, which gives it a clean “fizzy” feeling. Very similar to Sean John 3am, but more linear and not as complex. If you like one, you’ll like the other.

Recently bought Pure Blanc, however it greatly disappointed me. Smells very synthetic and loud, almost like axe-spray. I will let it age for a few weeks and come back with any edits. I really wanted to like this one...

This is the cheapest smelling fragrance I've ever come across. Doesn't smell bad, cheap musk and violent leaf with a bunch of the cheapest aromchemicals available. Skip this one fellas.

Hmm, this one is ok. It's very synthetic and strong. On fist blast it has a strong resemblance to CK One. after the dry down it smells like a mix between CK One, Aqua Di Gio pour homme, and Aspen. It's not bad for the price, but it's very synthetic and gives me a slight headache. It definitely doesn't smell bad at all. It's a freshie, mall scent, floral/aquatic. I think it was supposed to be a clone of something, but like I said- Pure blanc is CK One mixed with Aqua Di Gio mixed with Aspen. Very recognizable scent, but still good. Extremely sweet without being cloying. Very perfumey. But again, also very synthetic. It comes on strong and is not a masculine scent at all. Very sweet, floral, aquatic, and on the feminine side. A female could definitely get away with wearing this. I would say it's unisex for sure. Nothing new here at all as far as general smell goes. Projection and performance is poor. But what do you expect for a $17 cologne? I would give it a 6.8/10 Scent-6.8 Projection-5/10 Performance- 5/10 Value-8/10 **UPDATE** So after wearing it a few more times I ended up returning it because of the overwhelming synthetic ingredients it has in it. It smells good, but it is just chock full of nasty toxic ingredients. Honestly it would be a beautiful cologne if it were made better with more quality, could easily charge twice as much for it then. But unfortunately it just made me sick every time I wore it so I had to return.

I love aromatics... I didn’t even know which cologne house this was. I googled Karen Low and couldn’t find out much. Before I bought this iI just assumed that it was a cheapie clone, I was wrong. This is wonderful and I mean that. I can smell the violet and the suede. The violet is different here. Most violet colognes I have smell different than this one. Then I’m left with an intoxicating nice musk in the dry-down. I wouldn’t know which cologne to compare this to either, it’s very unique to my inexperienced nose compared to more seasoned frag heads here on this site. On my skin I get about 5 hours and the projection lasted me about 2 and half hours before becoming a skin scent. I wouldn’t steer anyone on here wrong and I’d call a spade a spade. This one is a keeper. Did I mention I got this for 20 bucks? It kind of reminds me of some other Zara type colognes. Projection-6/10 Longevity- 7/10 Scent-9/10 Value-10/10 Overall-8/10

Smells like water in a good way. Definitely the violet leaf that makes it smell that way, but I like it. I don't get any leather powder or animalic smells, just fresh ozonic and watery. Somehow not an ideal summer scent though, more of a spring kinda fragrance. Really good for the price especially if you can find it at a tjmaxx which you probably can. They usually are 9.99 or around there for a full bottle. I recommend giving it a shot but don't expect anything crazy as it costs less than lunch out. 7.3/10 seems right for this.

This will always hold a special place in my heart. Bought this about 10 years ago and used probably 4 bottles of it at minimum. So many compliments and it's cheap. The way it lingers through the air. One of the fragrances that really got me into collecting and smelling good. Amazing for what it is. Still around so it must be selling.

Even though the notes aren't the same, Karen Low Pure Blanc smells almost identical to Coty's Aspen. Very much the same vibe. It is as if someone decided to re create Aspen cologne but instead of using green foliage, they used minerals to achieve the same scent. If you are a fan of Aspen, you will like this one imho...

what an amazing underrated perfume! im wearing this and people loves it seriously. tobacco note is great. the real notes for this perfume are. Top note Bergamot - Ananas - Mandarin Middle note Sea breeze - Plum - Nutmeg - Drift Wood Base note Amber - Patchouli - Cedarwood - Tobacco

Harsh soapy and clean laundry But on the DD, Super comforting calming scent like the scent of freshly washed laundry using dryer sheets on hot or hugging a man and his shirt has this smell but faded. Cheap and worth it

My bottle came in a bundle and it is hard to recommend buying. Having said that it offers a citrus-aquatic neutrality with limited projection which makes it ideal for visits to the dentist or optician.
