Lagerfeld Femme

It was love from the first sniff. I remember being extremely surprised by the low score it has on here. It is definitey unique and makes you wanna put on more and more. I remember it making me salivate, that's how good it was. I hope I will be able to find it online, as I really miss the scent.

I love the funny Bottle :) The scent itself is ok too.

What a lovely lily note! This is the second scent that I've found that hosts a realistic lily note. I had thought that I disliked this note, but it turns out that done right, the lily is wonderfully evocative. Femme opens with a strong citrus and white musk blast, which slowly mellows into a beautiful lily note in the heart, supported by crisply lemony elemi and nicely oily narcissus. The rhubarb doesn't show up on my skin until the dry down, when it joins the flowers, adding a softly sour dry note to the mix. Overall, very pretty, bright, clean, refreshing. A lovely summer time scent!

Heavy stuff. 90s ina bottle. It’s not as modern as it should be in the year of release, rather feeds on 90s style. Harsh opening, Very unisex and unusual, slightly synthetic turns into floral and musky bouquet. It’s great for late spring, early summer but I dunno if I’d ever risk global wear. Nice to appreciate the history of perfumery every now and then on the wrist:)

Call me immature, but I bought this for the bottle. My god...maybe I just have a "dirty" mind, but it reminds me of a...well you know. Just look at it. I love how in the ads, they tried to make the model take a pose similar to the bottles' shape. But that ubiquitous cap, oh dear. Now take that image and this quote: "for a modern woman who knows how to enjoy herself and fascinate at the same time". Oh, I almost died of laughter. Thanks to its "funny" shape, I thought this would be a sensual fragrance but instead it was very bright and clean. The silage is quite musky and woodsy though, and the smell of lilies becomes pungent and slightly sharp. Like a really bad copycat perfume you find at a dollar store.Still keeping it for the peach bottle. It sticks out in my vanity table, hah ha. Bad pun intended.

Migraine inducing, irritating, sad, very 90-ties. Something like green mandarine or artificial narcise (aldehydes?) + car pine freshener + pencils + aftershave.

Resin, aldehydes and undefined flowers. I am not detecting any rhubarb or cherry. A strange one, this. I am not in love with it.

I hardly say this about any fragrance, but unfortunately I find this... Nasty. Nauseating to me. I want to like it, so I'll try it again and see if time has changed my perception. Sometimes re-visiting helps, but this might be a hopeless blind buy. Update: I believe I'm sensitive to Elemi, it's a note I just can't bear. Other fragrances that include it also bother me. If you share this problem, you should probably avoid Lagerfeld Femme. I'm sad about this, I'm a big Lagerfeld lover!

The first spray is green, fresh and citrusy, I do smell the lemon and the narcissus, overall freshness, the one you would commonly find in sport fragrances due to the lemon zest. Like smelling, narcissus dipped in lemonade. It is sharp an all lemon zest, but sweet with mandarin, tarty with rhubarb, it comes off as a sour citrus candy. Drying down I am getting lily, cedar and musk, yes but the lemon zest is always lingering keeping fresh and green bright. I compared another lily scent to this one, wrists side by the side and the lily is definitely on this scent, yes, fresh green lily. The cedar and musk lend it a very solid base, for I agree with other reviews could be used by men, yes it is very masculine. Cedar often takes any female perfume and makes it masculine as to me it is an absolute male note. Smelling it again, it is floral, a narcissus, lily bouquet, dipped in lemon/citrus water and placed in a cedar/musk vase if you can picture it. Very fresh, clean, yet with a slight dirty masculine vibe of musk and cedar, again totally unisex, and I can understand the other reviews about a male cologne. This is a scent I would want to smell in a man and hug, personally. But it is for women and it comes off as a clean, pleasant office scent, or one were you would spray after showering at the gym. Ascent with sheer freshness and boldness, for any occasion really, errands or doctors appointments. The lemon and mandarin pierce the scent in its entirety, mandarin probably lends sweetness along with the lily, the sour rhubarb gives it a sour tart. But nevertheless, it stays floral, with narcissus and lily petals clearly there. Smelling the bottle, you get the scent in a nutshell, bittersweet citruses, white flowers, and cedarwood musk. The drydown, has more of that sexy, sensual, masculine, cedar and musk. The drydown also has a creaminess to it, the white florals are creamy, soft and tender. Creamy lily/narcissus over a sensual musk/cedar base sprinkled with sweet/bitter citrus. It all turns soft, pleasant and gentle. The musk is stronger than I thought it would be, very sexy masculine bottom on the top of the creamy white flowers. So I can say that this scent does lean to a masculine side, yes but in theory, subjectively, or its rather a fresh, bold womanly scent. I do like it, yes, the cedar and musk make it sexy for me, love the lily and the citruses are distinct like sour candies. I like it, I do like it, but get it at a discount price.

I had been wanting to try this fragrance for years but never got around to it, and with the passing of Karl Lagerfeld recently I thought it was time to take the plunge and purchase a bottle. Lagerfeld Femme is definitely inspired by Clinique Happy and DKNY Women, which had just come out in the 1-2 years prior. It's going for that same sharp fruity + watery + metallic/aldehydic urban type of thing. It is extremely 90s, as other reviewers have mentioned. It is definitely a little on the sharp and shrill side (from the rhubarb, aldehydes, and elemi) but I still respect it as a fragrance. I can unfortunately see why it was discontinued because it's a little dated and not the easiest fragrance to wear. I much prefer DKNY Women which is a little more ethereal and cerebral. RIP Karl Lagerfeld. You were a complicated man and definitely had problems but your influence on fashion and fragrance cannot be denied.

Incredibly sexy as a male scent, very musky, cedar goodness, with citruses, resins and white flowers supporting it. The musk is of unique quality and pairs sensually with the cedarwood. This is how a man should smell like, masculine, sexy and sensual, but lo and behold, this is a female fragrance. I think the ''femme'' is playing on sarcasm as it clearly smells like a homme fragrance, this is what you would expect made from a persona that was Karl Lagerfeld, bold, introverted yet classy. Buy it and give it your lover, lovers, boyfriend, boyfriends, husband, husbands, your man, your men. It smells like a man, musky, sweaty, a man in bed after a shower or a man after going to the gym and having applied a citrus body spray, a man after having sex. The musk/cedar accord makes it this way, the combination is strong in the finest quality, gentle, pleasant. Lemon zest, lily, resins, musk, and cedar.

Having recently written a review, see below, I used Femme yesterday on a hot day. Previous use, the day had been cold with a cold wind blowing. My experience of Femme was quite different in these hot weather circumstances, and this the first time that it had ever occurred to me that weather temperature might make a difference. Also, it led me to wonder if bio-rhythms or body chemistry might alter in differing weather conditions, for I found this second use of Femme was much more satisfactory. Only a tinge of mint was apparent which rapidly vanished, and what remained lasted for many hours and was a rather fascinating dryish tone that kept me continually smelling my wrist. Not fabulous, definitely not heavy and sexy,but, interesting and nice for daytime use and obviously, hot weather does the trick!

Lagerfeld Femme This one intrigues me. Top note, on application, mint, strongly mint, but there is no mint in it. This stays for a while, and accompanying it is a green citrus smell with something intriguing underneath, which must be the musk and cedar. There is something in the dry down that reminds me of hot pinous trees and herbs, but just a subtle undertone, a woody tinge, rather fascinating, with a floral veil to it, which makes what could have been a rather masculine fragrance, feminine. Not at all sexy to my mind ,but fresh, light with a bit of oomph behind it, a day perfume for definite. I kind of like it, but I prefer heavy, sexy orientals. Another minus,it fades very rapidly on me to an almost imperceptible tinge. Nice, but!

Cedar, lilies, musk, three notes that made me buy this fragrance. I think cedarwood is so sexy, the ultimate masculine note, musk is sensual, and lilies are a spicy-tender white floral note. The reviews lean towards green, masculine, with some saying it has a natural lily note. Scents that smell masculine are meant to empower women, provide confidence, elegance and comfort, those that are used for business, meetings, or dinners.

I'm sorry, but I was unpleasantly surprised, unfortunately. It started off smelling like cheap cologne (Boldoot, 4711)and quite citrusy, but then it turned into something which smells mostly like aftershave. Staying power is great, but that's not good when you don't like this scent... I tried it together with 2 of my colleagues, and none of us liked Lagerfeld Femme. Shame for such a stylish and famous designer.

Strange perfume it is. I am surely smelling tarragon and yes mixed with mint - that someone else suggested as a note. It stays green on me even after drydown - no rubarbs, flower or fruits - just green herbs and cedar. Not unpleasant but nothing I would pay money for. Have the new formula from a desinger collection box (15 ml minis). Cool bottle and think the green one really reflects this fragrance.

Femme opens with fresh and sparkling citrusy scent, then it becomes rich flowery - the smell of lilies is quite bright. In the base notes, this flowery scent becomes sweeter and woody. Actually on my skin it is not a light and clean type of fragrance, must be the musk and the cedar. True, that Femme has something naughty in it. Nice fragrance for everyday use with a good staying power.

The combination of the scents that are mixed here instantly reminds me of a bouquet of flowers (random ones) that are way too long in the vaze full of water where the mold already started to grow. The worst perfume I've ever smelled, even worse than Arden's Sunflowers. Instant puke!

fresh and weird; perfect for summer; blast of citrus in the top along with tart rhubarb then some dry narcissus, not the pretty flower it usually is but more of the real green pollen and stamen but the rhubarb dominates as the orange burns off. Definitely unisex.

Baby-clean and young! Absolutely loveable! Naughty, yet innocent! I had it a long time ago and will buy it again !
