Saint (2017)

I don't get any strong floral notes from Saint; I do detect a bit of the jasmine and lily which is underscored by the kick of the sage, but on me the fragrance is all about the creamy milky nutty tone of almond blossom, the comfort & light sweetness of vanilla, and the gentle warmth of the caramel. There is a sense of freshness to the top of the perfume, which is fruit and musk - I get the peach, but can't quite identify the other fruits used. There is also a powdery undertone to the sweetness at the heart of Saint, which I'm guessing comes from a quiet mix of white florals. The undertone of milky/nutty almond blossom carries through to the base too, and the woods, musk and light hint of something green tones down the sweetness of the lingering vanilla and caramel, which adds more of a mature feel to the fragrance as it dries down. Longevity is good: I get a very respectable eight hours - it goes close to the skin after around 4 hours though, so it does seem quite 'quiet'. A fantastic fragrance for colder weather, as it is so warm and snuggly, although the soft fruits and gentle florals make Saint a all-occasions-all-seasons fragrance. I've not been able to wear Saint for years, and I've gotten a lot better at separating & identifying key notes in perfume, so it's a bit like owning it for the first time; Kat herself has said that the scent notes used are the same as the original Saint, but I notice the fruits more now, so the perfume has more juicy freshness than I remembered it having.

I sprayed this on today in store and was coming back for the full bottle within 20 minutes. It's a fruity floral but none of the cheap smelling Britney Spears type stuff. The moment I sprayed it on this is exactly what I was expecting as the first thing to scream in your face is peach. However, like with any perfume, it will take 5-10 minutes on your skin to develop and reach its full potential. Now, I am not a fan of yellow fruit fragrances at all and always preferred red and black fruit but this fragrance is magical. The mirabelle really makes it something else. The fruit is mellowed down with gentle balsamic notes which creates a truly beautiful scent. Kind of like a creamy sweet floral. To me, it smells like a beautiful summer's day full of fun and happiness. I have a feeling that Saint will be becoming my new everyday perfume. Also, the bottle doubles as a decoration in a gothic vintage bedroom ;) The only problem I have with it is the poor sillage and longevity - it's actually very mild for an EDP (I thought it was an EDT at first!).

I really like KVD's Saint perfume, bordering to loving it. I don't know what the older verision was like but I like this very well enough. It's more of light florals on me with a very light touch of sweetness added to it on the dry down. I really really like it but it doesn't really last long unless you overspray. Sometimes it comes across to me as smelling like how some glossy fashion magazines smell like when you flip through the pages. I'm not sure why that's so and I'm ok with it smelling that way though (oddly enough). Of crouse since the bottle is gorgeous plus since Kat is vegan (which is admirable), it's something that adds to the reason why I want this perfume. Sadly, I only had this bought from someone who went abroad, and I'm on a look out for a similar fragrance that's easily available where I am. I'm still on a search.

The initial spray is a peach punch to your senses, and the soft vanilla follows quickly to round it out and soften the fruitiness. The almond note shows up at dry down and softens it further. I am not usually a fan of the almond note but it is really lovely and subtle. If you shy away from overly sweet, cloying fruity fragrances (like me) but would like to try a more mellow, simple fruity vanilla fragrance, I recommend Saint, particularly if you can be patient for the dry down. I almost always stay away from fragrances that have lily of any kind in it (Bamboo, for example) but I can't detect lily at all in Saint. The bummer for me is the weaker sillage and and longevity. On me, I can barely detect it on my pulse points after 4 1/2 hours. I like this fragrance in spring and early summer.

I purchased this hoping it would be the original Saint in a new and improved bottle. Sadly, I was wrong. All this gave me was a slightly fruity-floral sweet blast at the beginning. Once it settled, I could smell a hint of that original Saint in there- the caramel-vanilla goodness. That was fleeting. On my skin the heart morphed into white floral land in a screechy way. The florals ended up giving me a headache. In the very later stages once the base notes hit (6-8 hours later), I could smell whiffs of that vanilla-caramel Saint but ever so slightly, as the heart of this perfume is very floral. I had to return this to Sephora the same day I received it in the mail. Oh, well.

i spent a day with my girl shopping we went to a sephora and put our noses on more than a few scents.... kat von d saint outperformed every scent in that sephora that day...she sprayed it on a test strip and then sprayed it on my wrist and it lasted all day not only is this scent gorgeous and beautiful but projection was awesome and performance was above average!! as a man i was a little jealous asking myself why couldnt they make something like this for men:?? :( i recommend this to any woman... my girl has a very keen nose and she knows her scents.. im not sure why this scent is getting more likes than love but it truly deserves more loves than anything else..

@Izabella11, You might try Special Moments by Catherine Malandrino, which is not yet in the database. It's not a dupe; it is peachy with vanilla, but it lacks an almond note. I find it to be a lighter, more straightforward floral-fruity. Wait for it to go on sale at Macy's. I find Saint to be at its best in winter, when its powdery/artificial nuances are muted, and the peach-vanilla is able to shine. Dries down to peach-almond that's quite nice. I never tried it before the reformulation, but it seems they got rid of the sandalwood, so that makes it all the more to my liking. It's quite lovely when layered several hours after KVD Sinner.

Saint is one of my all time favorite perfumes. I can plainly smell the florals, almond, and vanilla (which are my favorite notes to find in any perfume). I like that the florals are a little different than the usual gardenia-jasmine combo. It is a light, airy scent, non offensive, and somewhat watery. For this reason, I wear this when I know I'm going to be around sensitive people, or in a small space with other people. I can't stop swooning over the bottle! It's simple and gorgeous. Even if you acquired this fragrance and it isn't your favorite, it will still look stunning in your collection. I rate Saint 10/10.

This has quickly become one of my favorite perfumes. At first I didn't know what to make of it. It's floral and slightly tart. A bit lotiony. Kind of reminds me of how jergans natural glow used to smell. It lasts forever. It projects beautifully. It's inoffensive. Highly complimented. Feminine, perfectly balanced between youthful and mature. It's just stunning. Not to mention the sprayer is possibly the best sprayer of any perfume I own. It's like a mist. And the bottle is GORGEOUS. 10 out of 10. If you like yara or mant blanc signature I think youd like this. It's not as sugary but it's lotiony.

I purchased a sample duo of both saint and sinner, I much prefer this one! I think this is a universal opinion because it's always harder to find and more expensive. It's not at all something for everyday wear, this is definitely for a date or a social event. It's very 2000s and 'it girl'. Saint and sinner layer very well together, but I don't think it's anymore special than wearing one or the other. If you've got a choice between saint or sinner, saint is the way to go. If you like modern scents, this isn't for you. However, this fragrance and a juicy couture tracksuit? You'd rule the world!

I remember smelling this when it was first released and loving it. I regretted never buying a bottle for years. I just received a sample of the 2017 version from Sephora, and even though it doesn't smell like the original (it is less vanilla and musky), I think it's a GORGEOUS floral fruity perfume. It reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on what. I will definitely be buying a full bottle because I love it and my husband said I smell so good!! Give this a try, but don't expect it to smell like the original.

I am a woman who really does not enjoy sweet scents. Saint has become the exception. It is not overly sweet or vanilla-y, more so a sweet floral like a honeysuckle. This perfume is a beautifully elegant fragrance that I can see many women liking. I was shocked to read Hat the scent did not last long on others, as it is probably the longest-lasting perfume on my skin. I actually have to be quite careful not to apply too much as it can become strong quite quickly.

Beautiful & sexy, are we sure this should be named Saint? I got samples of this & Sinner, and I like this the one best between the two. I don't get the fruit notes, or maybe they are just so well blended with the other notes I cannot detect them, but I get a rich musky vanilla almond mix that is as sensual as it is delectable. Silage and longevity are very good, 6 hours on my skin. The bottles are a work of art. Definitely on my want list.

This is so pretty! It reminds me so much of the Paco Robanne Black XS For Her but has an even prettier bottle. It smells quite “spicy” to me which is odd how I even liked this one as I usually prefer the really sweet smells but this was beautiful! I actually got this as a sample along with Sinner from Kat Von D for ordering a lot of her makeup but preferred this one as to the other. Both were lovely but this one took the win!

This is the perfect Spring/Summer scent! It opens with a burst of citrus and jasmine that reminds me of eating a green apple in a beautiful garden full of jasmine. It's not overpowering and that makes it great for hot, balmy weather. The vanilla is very faint, almost nonexistent but it's ok without it I think. Some scents don't need the warmth of vanilla. Crisp and fresh is just fine with me when it's done like this.

Love this scent! Very sweet floral and pretty inoffensive. My mom hates most perfumes but doesn't complain about this one. lol. I have this version (2017 reformulation) and the 2009 original, and personally prefer this version. Also, bought a new bottle of this on clearance last year and now it's discontinued and stupid expensive on eBay. 🥴 If you want to try this out or repurchase, get it while you can 💀

I love this perfume and I have a substitute for those who miss it as much as I do! I was experimenting with mixing the handful of perfumes I own and a spritz each of Juicy Couture Juicy Couture and Philosophy Fresh Cream together is *extremely* similar, but with less of a juicy fruit in the opening. Same easy wearability, but the longevity could never top Saint's.

People complained that it was discontinued and now they relaunch it and complain they don't like it, humans are so difficult. I personally loooove this perfume, is sweet vanilla and so uplifting, I want to eat myself lol update: It does not smell like the original version which was vanilla cupcake, this one is more like a soft peach scent.

The second version of Saint is absolutely lovely, I bought a full sized bottle. Mirabelle and clary sage are so beautiful together, there is also a soft vanilla in the dry down. It looks very pretty on display as well. I tried the first version of Saint and did not like it at all. But this one is a keeper. :)

I love this fragrance. It's a beautiful balanced floral/vanilla. You get a nice sweetness without it being an overwhelming gourmand. It's a gentle sweetness that doesn't make you smell like a cupcakes but also gives you a little sexy note of vanilla... Big hit for me! And my husband loves it too!

I forgot I had small travel sizes of both saint and sinner! I'm so glad I found them. I bought this a while back when they were at TJ Maxx for like $15. I really liked this one a lot. I don't have much left in my travel sized. I will probably hunt for a full bottle of this one.

Does anyone know of a perfume that’s very similar/is a good dupe for this? I regret not getting some before they got discontinued:( I have fancy love by Jessica Simpson and it really doesn’t smell similar to me personally!

One of the best perfumes I've ever owned! Fresh, sweet and airy! Just beautiful! I have an old bottle that I covet! If you can buy this fragrance in 2025 then consider yourself lucky! 10/10

Sadly, it is very weak and has no longevity. It's a light, sweet peach/vanilla/white floral beauty for the short time it's around though. Very feminine and "innocent" in its vibe, IMO.

Absolutely delicious scent - it however doesn't last long on the skin. The most present note to me was peach, though I wouldn't say it is a childish or body spray type of fruit scent

Love this so much. Reminds me of 1980s (not all the styles were horrible then only almost all) but the lovely light vanilla florals were everywhere and this is a gorgeous one

This is just a nice simple floral with hints of vanilla type perfume. A very nice and safe buy when it was out,I wish it didn’t get discontinued along with Sinner.

Sweet and sour. Reminds me a lot of Dahlia by Givenchy. It's a nice juicy nectar floral, but the longevity is sad. It disappears after a few minutes.

Absolutely love this perfume. It smells like a spring morning blessed by the first rays of Sun. I think I'll wear this perfume on my wedding day.

I've owned this for 8 hours and it has been an emotional ride. I don't know of a bigger fan of Saint (2007) than I. I'm sure someone out there exists that outcrazies me when it comes to the original KVD Saint perfume but I haven't met them yet. It was my favorite fragrance and then I was forced to move on when it was discontinued. Now Fracas is my #1. That being said - I know my shit when it comes to the notes in the original perfume from first spray to dry-down. Now that I'm done tooting my own horn I'll fill you in on the 2017 version. At first I was furious - the initial spray and the first 15-20 minutes are nothing like the original. I might as well have picked up some generic floral at the local Estee Lauder counter. I even said something along the lines of "KVD owes Saint fans an apology!" I was getting kind of nutty about it. I mean, the hype around bringing this back was based on the fact that it was A: adored by legions of fans and B: the SAME fragrance. Then I let it dry down and it's been on me for about 6 hours and the original scent is really coming out. You just don't get that burst of gourmand out of the gate like you did in the original - you have to wait for it. Then the spicey, caramel, almond vanilla comes out with some musk. So - is it 100% the exact same? No - but that's what I expected and even with it being about 97% the same after dry-down - I'm not disappointed and I'm keeping it. Happy to have my old Saint back. For the most part. Other important notes: As a vegan I think it's incredibly important what KVD is doing for her line. I'd gladly give up the sins of Saint if it means vegan awareness is being spread and it isn't contributing to animal suffering. Bottle is great and the spray nozzle seems like really good quality. Love the fine mist.

Let me start off by saying the bottle for this one is extremely beautiful. The glass is heavy, the detail is stunning, it's perfect for a vanity. I have recently sold this bottle on mostly because it just never really wowed me. It was alright, I got it as a gift with a great mascara, and it was a nice day time scent. I did reach for it on days when I didn't want to stand out, but still smell nice and fresh. Someone below said it was a "vampy" scent and I agree with that! But this is for the innocent vampires who don't indulge on humans... For those who have watched The Vampire Diaries, this is exactly how I imagine Caroline Forbes to smell, haha! Light, feminine, pretty... With a dark side and many secrets, The opening spray is pure peach. Followed by a subtle vanilla, like a big peaches and cream trifle. Then it mellows out into a creamy, smooth white-floral. It is fresh, pretty and non-offensive. There is something darker and grittier in the dry down, something I can't distinguish.. Maybe the cedar? Perhaps it was there to mellow out the super light peachy smell, but for me, it was a little bit bitter. Overall, I wouldn't re-purchase, but I think it would make a safe gift for those who like sweet and light perfumes.

Saint does smell a lot like Fancy Love and Burberry Women, but with a more bitter edge. I don't know where that is coming from, but it is a sweet peach skin/plum skin scent with a bitter twist. The peach is quite synthetic, but not in an unpleasant way - it brings back fond memories of this peach scented eraser I used to own. The vanilla peach combo is what makes it smell like those other two perfumes mentioned, but it's not quite as ambery and sweet as those become. I don't find it syrupy sweet, maybe a little medicinally syrupy because of that bitter/herbal element. But overall I find it to be more musky sweet than ambery. It lasts a while on skin and clothing especially, and if people hug you they will smell you - and they compliment me! Drydown is sweet soft vanilla and the peach has lost all bitter facets. I picked up the travel spray on sale at Sephora, and I am really glad I did - it has been a handy travel companion in all seasons.

I brought this scent as a rollerball-sized purse spray at a Sephora two summers ago. I was invited to a wedding; I was buying my outfit’s last finishing touches and decided to go look at the scents. This smelled pleasant enough to buy, so I just bought it since it was fairly inexpensive. I usually put more thought into choosing my fragrances, but overall I could have done much worse. This is a a lot like Philosophy’s Snow Angel, but a bit more complex. I notice the mirabelle and peach first, but they don’t drown out everything else like the melon in Snow Angel does. Here they let the sage, vanilla, and musk share the spotlight. The florals and cedar aren’t very noticeable, but they do peep in occasionally. Saint is a good choice for a casual scent, but you should be able to wear this to work as long as you don’t spray it on too heavily.

So this is an edited review, as I decided to give this another round and am glad I did. I initially thought it was too "soft" compared to Sinner. Without comparing it to such a strong, spicy fragrance, I believe Saint has it's own positives. While it lacks the spice and loudness of Sinner, Saint has a soft, youthful sweetness. From it I get fresh cantaloupe and sweet bubblegum. The sillage is more intimate but it isn't 100% a skin scent. The dry down is more faint than the opening but it doesn't completely vanish. I would say this is a nice everyday fragrance you can wear to the office and it won't offend anyone's senses. It's definitely a daytime scent. You won't leave a scent trail with this but anyone close enough to you would appreciate its loveliness, I'm sure.

I left a review for this in 2023. It's one of my favorite perfumes, all vanilla and plum, and I adore the beautiful bottle design. I scored a 3.4oz bottle at a thrift store for a good price and love it. However, this winter is the first time I've worn it in cold weather. Such a difference! I'm noticing notes of subtle amber and spices and suede, which I didn't notice at all in summer, and I don't enjoy very much. It's more difficult to notice the fruity vanilla blossom that I like so much in warm weather. I think I'll save this for other times of the year when I can enjoy it more. It's leaving my winter rotation. But if you like amber and suede and vanilla and fruit, winter may be the perfect time for you to wear this!

A Unique Tangy Floral. I would say the white floral is the most prominent next to sour tangy fruit, with a faint vanilla note in the background. But this is not a basic white floral nor is it a basic juicy fruity fragrance. I find this scent unique, I don't think I have anything that smells just like it. Another reviewer said it was 'bright and piercing' which describes it well. For some reason there is a FAINT note that reminds me of Viva La Juicy, but Saint would be her older modern cousin. The bottle is also very beautiful and cool looking. I liked Kat von D's idea of Saint and Sinner, but I did not care for Sinner. They both have been discontinued so I am glad I have a bottle.

I was gifted a dab-on mini set of this and Sinner. Saint is a lovely and youthful perfume, but with a touch more sophistication from the florals and hint of musk than your average celeb candybomb. Both sweet and sour, it has a tangy quality that reminds me of flavored lip glosses from my childhood in the best possible way. Yummy and easy to wear for the younger crowd, don't let the beautiful Goth-y bottle fool you. For sure a more day-oriented fragrance, but it layers well with Sinner if you want to enjoy it at night too. I can see why some (especially those who skew older) may not like this, but for teens and young adults it's fun and inoffensive enough to wear almost anywhere.

I hated it! Which is unfortunate because I was very excited about Saint coming back It was my favourite perfume! Smelling the 2017 version I was very disappointed it smells nothing like the 2009 version. I know Kat Von D wanted to make her products vegan friendly which is fine, but they took the vanilla, sweet and light smell to this harsh musky floral smell. I know she tried to replace the caramel to almond blossom but it's just not the same. She could of just used almonds might of helped or she could of use other fruits to keep it balanced with the florals and the musk, but oh well atleast the bottle is pretty!

Major regrets for not buying the big bottle of this, but I’m thankful I’ve got enough Sinner to last me a while. This is really lovely; if the sillage and longevity were better it would be an instant favorite. These notes just play so well together on my skin, and while Sinner is really more my style, this is the perfect “I’m feeling so feminine and romantic” type of scent. I’d love to use this for a lovely springtime date at a botanical garden or something. The mirabelle, peach, almond blossom, and cedar really shine. It’s damn near perfect. I really wish it wasn’t discontinued.

In the initial spray this is a white floral with an edge of sharp citrus; quite unlike most other scents in my collection. The magic for me is in the base notes; as it settles it becomes a peachy, creamy, musky, slightly woody vanilla - so delicious! I would say this is a feminine fragrance on the whole, and it both lasts and projects well. It’s an easy grab for me when I need to make a quick choice or can’t decide. I discovered this rather late in the day (probably around 2020), so I’m rather sad to find it’s been discontinued. It is/was both an affordable and beautiful scent.

I never had the original and I'm sorry to see the negative reviews of the reformulation. Mine is a recent decant but I like it! It's a blast of peach and plum that settles down to a musky fruity white floral. The floral aspect is blended so much as to make the separate notes indistinguishable. It doesn't last very long, maybe 3 hours and lives close to the skin. A good frag for work, especially in the spring. Wouldn't repurchase because I'd need to respray too often to enjoy it. Wish I had one of the silver atomizers that occasionally surface on ebay for my vanity though.

When I smell the cap, the scent reminds me of my childhood. It smells like my older sister’s room when she was a teenager. It’s a very youthful smell. When I spray the perfume on my skin, it becomes more fruity and makes me think of the summer a few years ago when I used to use Bruno Banani’s Pure Woman daily. It has a similar fruity girlishness to it with not much complexity. I’m trying it out during winter and it’s rather sharp, but I think it’ll be lovely during warmer months. I think the name fits the scent well as it makes me think of youthful innocence - a saint.

This works for year-round day time to me. More fruity than floral on me (Sinner is such a floral that I barely got the cinnamon or patchouli). It brings to mind Ariana Grande Cloud in how lightly and sweetly it wears, with gentle wafts routinely coming from my shirt. But no one has compared it to Cloud. I don’t have JS Fancy Love anymore to compare it, but that is what most here say it reminds them of. The dry down is very pleasant and well-balanced. Just a like not a love for me, but if I had more than a sample, I could see myself changing my mind over time.

I smelled this along with Sinner at Sephora over the weekend. I really liked it so I decided to purchase the small travel size (it's actually a spray-which is nice) for $22.00. It's a lovely smell but upon getting it home and actually wearing it I find the Sillage to be VERY soft- almost like I'm not wearing anything at all. The Longevity is also very poor- under an hour before I feel the need to reapply. That being said this is EXTREMELY similar to the original Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier. So if you like that one you will like Saint and visa versa.

Gosh this perfume is so juicy, made me fall head over heels in love with mirabelle plum. I've always loved peach scents but the plum is slightly more mild than most stone fruit scents, juicy yet not "bath and body" juicy/sweet. On that note this scent seems like it was made for the girl that grew up collecting the fruity bath and body fragrances. Still has a youthful vibe, a hopeless romantic, and very feminine. Truly lovely but I wish it lasted longer and wasn't discontinued.
