Kate

"Pretty" is the perfect broad-stroke adjective for this little one. She does not blow my mind or make me swoon, but I also wouldn't like to be without her. I have taken her to work several times, and while she is definitely appropriate for that environment, i can't say she is perfect-- Kate is just so soft that the smells of the office, and other people, and the world--- just drown her out, and kind of distort what little bit of her is detectable. So, while Kate is fresh and ladylike for work or errands or a night out or what-have-you... these are not the situations in which one can really get to know her. She will open up in an intimate setting-- cozied up at home, after a hot bath, she will whisper her secrets... first, her pink garden rose, further freshened by peony (I sense the peony, but as with many of you, I sense mainly rose)... she wants you to know those right away. Spend half an hour or so with her, and she will surprise you with a very distinct, but still soft (every bit of her is soft) pink pepper. By this point, she is hinting at the respectable dose of sexy (yet still clean) musk that is her soul. I spray Kate on both wrists, dab my wrists to each side of my neck, mist in to the back of my hairline, and then into my cleavage... I have to be surrounded by her to really feel her, and even so, she is never overwhelming. After our intimate evening together, the reminder she leaves behind is a fresh whisper of very clean rose on a bed of soft skin musk. Some of my very favorites. ;) I spent last night with Kate... fell asleep with my arms nuzzled up to my nose... and woke this morning with her essence remaining just enough to make me want more.

This is such a pretty scent - it begins with a soft combination of pink pepper, strawberry & peony which then transcends into an earthy, creamy, rosy musk. I also get a slight turkish delight/marshmallow vibe that is lovely - in fact this is what I wanted Libertine (TBS) to smell like, alas it turned sour on me :(! The body lotion is also gorgeous & you can pick this up so cheaply now. It will probably be my everyday 'to go to' fragrance now that TBS have repackaged/reformulated Japanese Cherry Blossom (pointless glass bottle!). This is so airy & fresh but sensuous too - it surrounds you with wafts of girly floweriness & even my husband said I smelled good, & he NEVER comments on my perfumes! It is, as mentioned, similar to Stella in Two, but that is a little harsh in the drydown on me, I can also see similarities to Miracle which used to be my signature a few years back, so if you like those you should like this. Also, years (& years) ago I wore L'Effleur by Coty (as is this) - it was 'my' smell & even though I no longer have a bottle or even remember how it smelled, I get the feeling that this could also 'be me'.....The snob in me would rather this was not a 'celebrity' scent, I may feel a tad embarrassed owning up to it - nonetheless I love it all the same!

It's a big call, but I'm prepared to make it: Kate by Kate Moss is my favourite celebrity release thus far in terms of the actual scent (performance notwithstanding). I love florals that are a bit different, and not your usual sickly-sweet floral-fruity cocktail. I also love rose, but I feel like it can be a difficult note to get right. This fragrance hits that spot for me. It's a dark, mysterious, sensual rose with a spicy, oriental twist; not your usual squeaky-clean soapy rose. Kate is not the most multi-faceted fragrance I own - it's pretty linear in its composition - but that's not necessarily a bad thing! As mentioned above, the sillage and longevity aren't amazing. This fragrance sits close to my skin, only really detectable when I'm up close to someone. Sadly, it also disappears from my skin without a trace within an hour or two of wearing it, but I guess that's not a huge deal given it's very affordable. I have three almost-full bottles of this sitting on my dresser, so it's easy enough to reapply. I do wish it'd last a bit longer, but those delicious, heady notes of patchouli, musk, and pepper that sit just under the surface are enough to make me forgive and forget. This is an edgy, sexy fragrance that exudes confidence. Love.

Many years ago, a close friend made me try this, and though I liked it, I didnt think too much of it until I bought a gift set some time later. I have loved this fragrance for so long, that I take it for granted, and havent bothered writing a review till now. On me, this fragrance isnt 'fresh' by a mile. It is deep, smoky and mysterious somehow. It seems evenly blended, because despite being able to pick out the dominant notes, none overpowers the other. However, I do agree with another reviewer who said that it doesn't really evolve. It's pretty straightforward - what you smell first is what you'll smell in 30 minutes, is what you'll smell as it fades. Which is the other thing, it fades pretty fast, and in a while I have to hold my wrist really close to my nose to be able to tell that I have it on at all. On clothes, it seems to last longer though. Whatever its shortcomings, I love this scent. When I wear it, I feel enveloped by something warm and familiar, comfortable. I feel like it would suit women in their 20s and early 30s, who're self assured, and coming into their own. Not aggressive, but unmistakably present. PS: Oh, I was wearing this when the guy I was seeing at the time said I smelled sexy - so that's a plus!

Kate Moss- Kate. Kate is actually the first ever fragrance that I purchased for myself. It was on Special as well so it made it all the more appealing because it came with the Bonus Body lotion. I remember vividly wearing this scent and the loudness of its rose and pink pepper notes. It was beautiful though because they blend together so well. Unfortunatley it is only these two notes which my nose is able to pick up on which in a sense is fine with me however though I think I do detect some Patchouli in the drydown but everything is always pushed to the side by the Rose. Being a lover of Rose scents I think Kate is a perfect beginners fragrance for young girls. Being a guy I love to wear this for its cleanliness and i guess the sentimental value I get from the scent of Roses. The only bad thing I can say about Kate is that the staying power is not the best. It lasted about 4 hours on my skin and then there was literally no trace of it but on my clothing it lasted around 7 hours and left a very faint but sweet smell. Overall a successful first fragrance for Kate Moss.

My bottle of Kate was a gift from my daughter, who clearly knows what suits her Mum! Being a celebrity fragrance, I was initially concerned it may be too young for me, but I was wrong. I'd never tested or smelled the scent before my present, soon after it was released. This is a perfume that I always received comments on when I was wearing it. In the office colleagues would regularly ask me what scent I was wearing, and they'd comment on how gorgeous the perfume was. Wearing other perfumes never had the same reaction, so Kate must work really well with my chemistry. Kate is a glorious blend of florals - not too sweet or cloying either. The musk balances out the scent along with the cedar. I used to enjoy this perfume through all stages, and found staying power was excellent. I put on at breakfast & could still smell it on me mid afternoon. I'm still not a fan of celebrity fragrances, but I do have one exception - Kate. It's truly beautiful

Sorry, but I don't consider fashion models to be glamorous or role models in the sense of "deserving honour, respect and admiration". They are more like tools used by designers since clothes hangers can't walk. To me the word "celebrity" might also have a negative meaning, all depends on what is one famous for. When I find that another "celebrity" releases a new perfume I'm interested in the notes and in the perfumer who created it. The smell of the product is the only thing that counts for me. I'm in love with many Nathalie Lorson's creations & pepper-rose-peony notes in perfumes. That's why I was interested in trying "Kate". I'm not disappointed. It is not loud. More of an intimate kind of perfumes. Smells to me like deep red roses. It might not have a great projection, but yet, I'm a person that wears perfumes for myself (not even for my beloved husband), and I can smell it on myself for a few hours. All in all I like the scent a lot.

Really fond of this scent. I think it's a very youthful floral. A floral for a woman who has a bounce in her step and ribbons in her hair. hehe! It starts out very bright, kinda fizzy like some people have said. That would be the pepper and sharp cranberry. The flowers are behind straight away just buffering up the top notes. It's really pleasant. The feel of this scent is one that is noticable, and noticably floral but not offensive. It's good good lasting power but doesn't jump off the skin crazy strong like some florals. The drier stage waves goodbye to the fizz and the flowers in here come forward, they work so well together, and this scent has an overall pinkness to it. Still floral but still holding onto that youthful feeling. The patchouli in the base is so so slight but it's there and it really adds to the depth of this perfume. I think it's gorgeous!

Gradually getting to know Kate Moss' first scent. Every time I take a whiff of the bottle and newly doused t-shirt I get sharp raspberry (though that's not a note!). I also get a sterile, fresh, stylized femininity that reminds me of Drew Barrymore's Radiant, only sweeter and more musky. [Shared notes: peony, musk, bergamot.] However the similarities end when I spray her on my skin and sheets, and she grows into her own unique creature. In the space between sleep and consciousness, I could have sworn there was another woman in my bed, effortlessly sensual, young at heart, naturally tempting, passive yet inviting. She knows all the secrets of love and pleasure, and lays there soft and silent, open to anything that may happen. [Over a month later] Kate is a gorgeous everyday perfume that seems to fit every mood and occasion without growing tiresome.

Rose & musk equaling a cashmere feel, it smells warm and sweet yet deep all the while, i like it the violet and jasmine work wonders together the whole notes just completely work for me, usually when i see the notes listed i can't smell them individually in the fragrance yet in this one i can. It's completely feminine yet sharp all the while. It is deeply sensual and an ideal winter perfume for them cosy nights with someone special, it makes me feel warm inside yet i get a tingle in between my shoulder blades when i smell it, it takes me to them warm autumn/winter nights where all you want is to become intimate with that special someone who understands and appreciates you. It is a special perfume for a special time of year. I usually avoid celeb fragrances but this one is well put together and original with much too offer.

"Oh God" I thought when I read about a fragrance by Kate Moss. Me and my friends joked about it smelling of cigarettes and alcopops. I think everyone I've met had the same reaction when they heard about it. She doesn't have the best reputation but don't let that put you off. I ate my words when I smelled the perfume. It's gorgeously floral and subtle. The idea of rose being in perfume puts me off as I sort of see rose as a scent for an old woman! But in 'Kate' it smells divine. It's perfect for older teens-early 20's I'd say. It's a very fun and cute scent aswel as having a sort-of mature edge to it aswel. Definitely best for day time, every-day type fragrance. It's my favourite and has been for a few years. I don't even get ashamed when I tell people it's Kate Moss' perfume! It's that lovely.

I love it. It's very different from all the other celeb perfumes I've smelled. I realize that people either describe it as a clean, inoffensive, daytime scent or sexy, warm nighttime fragrance. I'm guessing that it depends on your body chemistry wether the more warm notes (patchouli, sandalwood and musk) are dominant, or if they totally get lost on your skin. Either way: It is a sensual, kinda sexy fragrance that doesn't scream: Look at me, I'm here. If you like roses, you definetely have to check that out. I mean, you can never go wrong with the combination of Roses and Patchouli, IMHO. I'm a fan of rose scents, but they can be somehow tricky, cause they either smell too soapy, or too...well not what most young ladies would wear. But this is a very beautiful, fresh and feminine rose.

I used to buy this in university, it was probably my first signature scent and I LOVED it. It was actually a blind buy, found it in the cheapest section of a drugstore which is so ironic considering today's prices... Once it was discontinued I savoured my last bottle, it has only a few ml left BUT it still smells the same, just as new. Because of the above I've been on the hunt for years for something similar that doesn't cost a fortune amd finally I've found it!! Zara Fleur de Patchouli comes as close as it gets in my opinion and it's pretty inexpensive, too! Fellow Kate-fans, do check it out and thank me later :)

This is one I keep coming back to. This was originally bought for me over 5 years ago as a present. Since then I have bought 2 more bottles of this. Unfortunately, with it being discontinued this is getting harder and harder to find. It is a light, sweet floral. I always thought of this as being a cosmetic, peppery rose but can see there's no rose note? Perhaps it is peony I am smelling with a very slight hint of violet. This is a modern fragrance that hints at the old fashioned or vintage. It reminds me of old-fashioned boudoirs, chaise lounges, powdery makeup and a wardrobe of stage costumes not worn in years.

I bought this on a whim at a perfume shop. Normally I do not buy "Celebrity Fragrances", I think the trend has gotten rediculous. Give me a break! Oh, okay, back to Kate Moss. I love her, and trust her has someone who knows more about fragrance then, say Justin Bieber or Snooki. She got me with the patchouli & musk brightened by white floral and a kick of pepper & pineapple. The dry-down is so warm & pretty, I can't stop smelling myself. My husband hasn't noticed it, but at least he doesn't hate it! Time to keep my eye out at discount stores & stock up & look for her other fragrsnces to try.

My favourite perfume to date, the only perfume I’ve never got bored of and I've used and repurchased several bottles over the years. Unfortunately it’s discontinued and the bottle I have now is starting to smell slightly off/ less vibrant. It’s a light fragrance, so versatile, so inoffensive, doesn’t smell too floral but just fresh, a little sweet but not sickly, a little spicy if you search for it. It doesn’t smell like a celebrity fragrance to me, it’s in another league! I’m on the hunt for something similar that isn’t discontinued :(

This fragrance is beautiful. You definetly get a sense of Rose being the center of the fragrance. To me it just smells really creamy and quite sexy but in a non-offensive and obnoxious way which in my opinion makes this a fragrance perfect for any woman. Its definetly a clean smell especially when used with the body lotion- i think together it makes the scent much more stronger and longer lasting and it just smells so much nicer and sexier with the body lotion. On its own its definetly a wonderful smell but it doesn't last that long.

I've never liked this "celebrity perfume" thing. They all smell the same to me: way too sweet and cheap. So obviously I was a bit (very!) skeptical when my friend bought it for my birthday. Well, "Kate" proved me wrong. Not ALL star perfumes are bad. It was love at first sniff and now I'm addicted to it. It's unpretentious, light, like a fresh rose bouquet but, despite its simplicity, "Kate" is still sultry and expensive smelling. I love it

LOVE LOVE LOVE this sent :) I find it perfect, it smells so nice, but its nothing over powering. I go to a sent free school, but sometimes I like to sneak a spray of something nice, this one is perfect for that. its just enough so I can smell it on myself once in a while, and my friends might comment on how nicely I smell but not too much that I land in the principals office. I also find this sent can be day or night, young or mature.

I saw this on clearance for 8 bucks and had to get it as I love all things rose.It has a very old fashioned smell to it and although I can't stand pepper as a note it works in this somehow.I agree with a previous reviewer that it reminds me of vintage scented cosmetics.It's not a 'love' for me but I do like it quite a bit.It smells like Avon's Eternal Magic to me but with less vanilla. EDIT 4/22/12-a definite love now....

After reading the reviews I bought the gift set with the eau de toilette and the body lotion and I am literally addicted to it. The smell of the body lotion alone already last more than 5 hours on my skin so I only use the lotion without the EDT at the moment. And the smell is so wonderful and really not common at all. I get a lot of peonie but also rose. It's a very soft but a very present smell. I just love it !!!

It was such a nice one. I bought it in 2007. It was my first "expensive" perfume bought for my own money. First payment I got from my first job. I paid £20 and it was bought in Gordons chemists, northern ireland. Such a nice memories. It was rosy scent, very prominent, happy. I dont remember how long it stayed on my skin but I remember it was really nice fragrance

I just recieved the giftset for my bd from a friend, iys very soft and pretty, it reminds me of tarnished jewellery and my 80s laura ashley dress. Im not usually a rose fan but this is sweet and powdery and gorgeous. I also get the pink pepper. I will be wearing this with my vintage dresses. I think the 30ml bottle wont last me long, luckily its cheap.

I must write this. I've got my coffret (edt+bl) and I use it for about a week. What I've noticed that edt doesn't have such a poor lasting power as I thought before and I'm quite happy about its longevity. Although the smell of body lotion is awful, pure pepper, that I can not reccomend.

Just wanted to add to my original review that this is one of the few perfumes with a pepper note that I can wear-it's blended so well here.She should have named THIS one 'Vintage Muse' as it has such a wonderful, old fashioned feel to it:something I could picture a 50's starlet wearing.

Although I'm not a great fan of celebrity scents, this one I really like. It's so soft, clean, sweet rose scent. Very similar to Comme Une Evidence by YR, and a little bit to Narciso Rodriguez for her as well. But very poor lasting power disqualify this beautiful scent unfortunately.

This smells really great on me. Soapy, rosy, peppery and very clean. I really like it alot. It does remind me somewhat of "Just Me" by Paris Hilton only Kate is a little more mellow/soapy. This was a good addition to my wardrobe as I am becoming a rapid fan of rose scents.

I love this scent! I had it few years ago, it was my first.......and as a first, it was just amazing. Perfect for younger me. But this time I am looking for something more polished, sensual, musky, sexual and not so well known....(Of course, I haven't found it yet).

I really enjoy this the pink pepper is most noticeable to me, I'd say it is a great fragrance for the money, not sickly sweet like most celeb fragrances, It is spicy, fresh, very pretty, I'd like to buy a big bottle as an everyday sexy yet inoffensive fragrance.

This perfume smells really expensive. I fell in love with it right away and it's something I must have in my collection at any time. The way it develops on my skin is simply wonderful and I find it pleasant at any time of day, regardless of season.

I've changed my mind. I like this fragrance so much that I will wear it although it has such a poor lasting power. I bought a coffret - edt with body lotion. I hope that when I will use it together it will last longer on my skin.

wanted to own own, finally got myself a 30ml on my skin the opening very floral & a bit of patchouli, it finally dries down to a mild pepppery & musky scent somehow i cud detect a hint of rose... truly sexy & feminine

i had this perfume its very sweet and girly very much a daytime perfume. its very similar to Ghost Cherish Ghost for women and to an avon perfume called U by Ungaro for Her Avon for women.i like all 3 of them

Good old classic english rose in the right way. Very english, very rose! A classic! Settles down well, quite lasting. Woody, spicy, musky rose yet not overpowering. Describes charismatic, stle, modern chic.

Have used it for 3 years now and I just cannot get enough of it. It's just so different from all other scents. It has become my signature scent. The body lotion is strong and long lasting.

I fricking loooove this perfume! Powdery, with a touch of rose. Refreshing, unisex, mysterious. It's too bad you can't buy it in stores anymore. My fav perfume so far.

So easy to wear! I seem to come back to this fairly often - it is floral and feminine but not overpowering. Dries down to a lovely rose musk and lasts for ages.

Love it! Smells like fresh soap on me. It lasts all day and is very subtle. I wear it mixed with Hot Couture by Givenchy... Great Great Great!!!

I almost bought this blind. Happy that I didn't! Kate is such a pretty perfume on paper - a little harsh from the pineapple at first, but still quite fresh and clean until it develops into the sweetest musky-floral. I thought this would be a lovely affordable addition to my summer fragrance wardrobe as it's fresh-smelling, contains no citrus, stylish, cute, and has Kate Moss' British twist. Sadly, my skin disagreed. The pineapple takes over the entire composition for me - very fruity and fresh at first, (it's a lovely unusual freshness), which develops a strange acidic cleanliness - not sure if this is the peony/pineapple combination, but I didn't appreciate it here (it was starting to make me feel as though I'd just cleaned the bathroom). Very linear scent. In addition, the muskiness was non-existent and I didn't get any pepper. Sillage about soft to moderate on me, lasts for about 4-5 hours. I guess my chemistry doesn't work with this one!

Why rose is not in the note pyramid I have no idea. Kate Moss, upon drydown, is a predominately rose scent. I always feel the need to compare roses because there are so many. In contrast to other British roses such as Paul Smith, Kate Moss is an English country garden rose. It is soft, musky and floral-sweet whereas Paul Smith's rose is ozonic and quite green, perhaps even a bit sharp. I'd go so far as to say that if one is seeking a simple, pretty rose you could skip over pricier options such as Stella McCartney and just opt for Kate Moss. So yes, rose and then a hefty dose of peony. I detect a tiny amount of the pineapple which serves in a citrus-like capacity. The base is mostly musk with a touch of cedar. Kate Moss is not a particularly out the box rose fragrance, but it is a well executed one.

Kate's fragrance was a pleasant surprise for me. One of my friends told me about it, so I had to try it. The next moment after testing it...I bought it! It turned out to be a wonderful discovery, because I found it to be very discreet and long lasting. This scent is also very complex, captivating one's attention with it's multiple layers and life's experiences, but in the same time remaining faithful to a natural and sensual style. Kate is a special fragrance, in the first minutes is a bit spicy, then turning into a fresh mixture of rose, musk, lily of the valley and patchouli. In general terms, I can describe it as being light, charming, intense, modern and mysterious. And of course, a fragrance like this should be worn by personalities described as "a mix of elegance and adventure" ;)

Oh I love this one! It's red carpet in a bottle. It's clean and feminine, soft and airy but hangs around for a decent time. This smells expensive and summer, sunshine, warmth and breezes can only enhance this scent. I can see the resemblance to Lancome's Miracle! This has a cute nail polish bottle design and nicely decorated box. The bottle fits the palm of your hand nicely. I know everyone has different opinions, but I just can't believe a lot more people don't love this one. This isn't a scent I'd expect from Kate to wear, so maybe this would be where the disappointment comes from? I think this would have been a big hit if this was a scent by Natalie Portman. I love this a lot and hope more people out there give this one a chance.

I love this, which is unusual for me because it's a gentle, quiet fragrance. I find this warm and comforting. It reminds me of old fashioned floral sweets, like rose Turkish delight and Parma violets. The musk makes it soft but the florals also compete for attention, with rose being indistinct from the listed forget me not, lily of the valley and peony in a kind of floral fug. I found my part used bottle as part of a lot on eBay. I didn't buy the lot for this scent but it's a good bonus. I've had a look and I see this is pretty rare scent to find now. Lasts extremely well on me, noticeable after 8 hours and counting, despite me having the EDT.

I tried this (edt) out at work today on one of my more scent sensitive (read "picky") colleagues and she said it was "nice and clean and inoffensive...not too floral." But what I was smelling as she said that was a rather "dirty" patchouli rose. Not too strong, definitely not spicy and with good staying power. I like patchouli, so that is not a problem, and I, over all, like this scent. But I think I would like it better with a little more rose and a little less patchouli. I think my skin is amplifying the patchouli, so your results may be different. It is not a "girly" scent, but a surprisingly adult and rather serious one.

I thought i didn ́t like this perfume, but found out that this perfume and the luxury edition is not the same scent. I bought this fragrance at 50 milliliters on sale for $ 14, and it is very cheap for a perfume in Denmark. I have to admit that I really love this scent.I get a lot of the rose in this scent, so very gentle and clean - almost like soap. This perfume is perfect for daytime or summerdays. Not too heavy, not too sweet - it's just gentle and nice with a little bit of mystery in it to. I think Kate Moss makes the best celiberty fragrances so far.
