Kate Spade New York Bloom

Is this a groundbreaking scent profile? No. BUT it is a lovely shampoo-y fruity floral. As the comments describe, it’s definitely a scent sister to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and I’d also argue a scent cousin to My Burberry Blush- light and fresh, like you just washed your hair with expensive shampoo. Apple, citrus, and light florals are a winning combination to make you feel clean and refreshed and their use in this scent does exactly that. I’ve been testing out Kate Spade perfumes since Twirl, which was my standout favorite in recent history, and this one is very reminiscent. Bloom has got that pretty, airy floral and sparkling fruity quality in the DNA just like Twirl. It is a great everyday and/or workplace scent because it’s really inoffensive, pretty and makes you feel put together! The sillage is intimate and performance isn’t spectacular (90 mins) but for an EDT, this was about what I expected. Overall, I’m happy with this release from Kate Spade and don’t think you’d be disappointed if you’re looking for a clean, shampoo scent. Of note, the bottle is heavy and feels luxurious- I’ve been disappointed with the packaging of some recent designer releases, so this was a pleasant surprise!

Not sure why this one isn’t getting good ratings, this flanker is a nice light fresh take on Kate Spade New York. If Narciso Rodriguez Her EDT was the clean musk of the early 2000’s, this is pulling early 2000’s freshie vibes. Could be D&G light blue but there is definitely something else it is reminding me of and I can’t figure it out. Usually apple is a sharp not for me and almost instantly gives me a headache but in this is subdued, at least on my skin. The yellow floral is balanced with the white floral, she is sweet but not nearly as sweet as the OG or Sparkle. I think this is a fun spring/summer scent - easy to wear and still projects. On skin she is a bit more citrusy than testing on a scent card - the card at the fragrance counter still smells more floral. An hour into wearing the fragrance on skin floral has faded into the sandalwood and other base notes

This is nice. I like it but I don't know if I need to keep it in my collection. It reminds me of a mix of D&G Light Blue mixed with Versace Bright Crystal. I'm getting floral, musky, clean (slightly powdery)vibes. I get the tiniest hint of citrus, barely there. I find it slightly sweet, but not as sweet as I prefer. It reminds me of laying in a field of clovers and tiny wildflowers, lightly sweet and green. It's got spring vibes. I don't find it to be super strong or long lasting on skin. Lasts longer on clothes but the performance just isn't anything to write home about for me. Probably wouldn't repurchase but it's still a pleasant scent. Edit: I realized this also reminds me of Moonlight from Ariana Grande. That one leans more citrus, musk, powdery for me too.

fresh, shampoo-y green apple & white florals, grounded by a strong cedar base. I want to make this clear: by no means is Bloom a bad perfume! I think it smells lovely and it's a very fitting flanker to the original Kate Spade NY. the citrus & apple are very bright and uplifting; it's quite reminiscent of D&G Light Blue but with a softer, girlier vibe. my only complaint about Bloom is its performance...it lasts all of 45 minutes, even when sprayed on clothes. i wasn't expecting it to be a beast, knowing it's an EdT, but I was still hoping for at least an hour or 2. this would make a great feminine gym/office fragrance - inoffensive, intimate, and fleeting. it's appropriately priced (more or less) too, allowing for worry-free reapplication and/or overspraying.

Like a citrusy slightly fruity sweet shampoo with enough woodsy notes to make it a little fancy. It's nothing groundbreaking, just nice and clean. I imagine a vibrant fun but put together young woman wearing this. Perfect for an office job since it's so inoffensive. The thing is, it doesn't last on my skin at all. Usually I don't have a problem with the longevity of my perfumes, but this one has even worse performance than my body mists, it doesn't even last on clothes. I tried to over spray, to use it with scented and unscented body lotion, to layer it and nothing, it just disappeared in less than 30 minutes. It's lovely but not worth it for me. Maybe someone else has better look with its longevity.

It's sweet, soft, bright. Fleeting like a sweet dream you forget in the morning, not special enough to make a lasting impression. Someone said this was suitable for all ages. I agree. This is the sort of scent where the individual gives character to the scent, not the other way around. The scent is lovely but has no lasting power or sillage at all. Even for the low price I'd suggest saving a bit more and finding something better quality. I don't get the comparison to Guilietta Tocca. I LOVE that scent. Guilietta has a better performance although for the price, yeah, it should be better. Bloom is a fraction of it. However I don't find them similar aside from the fact that they both smell innocent.

When I first tested this on the scent strips at Macys it smelled a little different than when I sprayed this at home. The initial smell definitely reminded me of Chance ETD. I swatched both on my arms to test the similarities throughout the day, and Bloom faded into a more light, fresh & fruity smell for me and the Chance ETD stayed about the same as initial spray. I’m going to test it out a few more days, but I feel like this would be a great perfume for everyday wear. It’s light enough that I think it would be appropriate to wear at work or school. If you want a similar smell but want something stronger id go with the Chance ETD. I enjoy both by the way!

I like this soo much better than the original Kate Spade. This is much smoother and less synthetic smelling. I prefer a woody fragrance over sweet. So, it may be a personal preference thing. This seems way classier. It also has all my favorite notes, so it’s no surprise that I like this! It’s a great scent for every day but could take you into the evening. I also think you could wear this one all year but it probably wears best in spring and summer!

Nothing special. It is not a bad fragrance, but it is something smelled and smelled many times already in the last 20 years or more. To my nose, it is similar to Noa, Eclat d'Arpege, Chance Eau Tendre, and all of these are better, I would say, and cheaper in some cases. The bottle is cute though, and if you look for a generic, pretty, fresh, a bit musky and non offensive fragrance to wear everyday, go for it.

A light and pretty floral with soft charm. Notes of green apple, camellia, orange, and lemon give it a fresh, fruity start, while cashmere, ylang, and sandalwood add a gentle warmth .... What a letdown. I love the og and the Sparkly flanker, but this is so meh. Kinda smells like the MJ Daisy dna to me, but I can’t pinpoint which one. Sparkle was so unique, and the og is less unique but still really well done. This is just...a poor execution of a mediocre idea

I bought this on a whim as I already love love love the original Kate Spade NY. The granny smith apple comes through and I quite like it. It's a soft, clean, feminine scent and I think it'd be easy for anyone to wear. When I first sprayed it, it came off as alcohol-y but it dried down nicely. It's not very strong and I only paid $35 for a big bottle so I'm not too worried about it. It doesn't last very long and if you don't mind re-spritzing occasionally it's a safe office scent and it won't be super off-putting by gassing out the whole office. I wish it lasted longer but for the price point, not bad. Not great, but it's alright. If it had better staying power I'd love it more.

New York Bloom is a very classic floral/fruity fragrance but not unpleasant. The apple stands out particularly well to my nose and is clearly the main player, unfortunately not the wood. Very fresh, perfect for spring or summer, I see it more on a young girl than on an accomplished woman. Not transcendent but it remains honest (only if the price is not exaggerated for this type of perfume, very linear and very simple). Note that finding better will not be very complicated.

Kate Spade answer to Chanel Chance eau tendre. The Chanel is wayyyy better. This smells like a basic shampoo.

I really like the Kate Spade ♠️ New York range. My favorite so far is the Sparkle flanker. I am not a floral lover but this one looks interesting so I bought a travel size from the KS retail site. I am curious to see how this performs, as this Bloom flanker is a toilette and not parfum.

I love this SOOO much! I'm just so happy with the Kate spade perfumes I have purchased recently. They perform so well and are so well blended for such a great price. I'm so tempted to buy all perfumes from this house because the few that I have tried compare to some of my higher end perfumes in terms of the way they are blended and how well they last. This one especially reminds me so much of "Premier Jour" by Nina Ricci which I have worn and loved for years. It is also in the same lines as Eclat d'Arpege by Lanvin but that is way sharper to my nose and this is just so well blended (if I haven't already said that a million times lol). Long story short, give Kate spade perfumes a chance. I especially love this and Cherie but you best believe I'm trying as many as I can get my hands on because WOW!!!

Smells really good but also smells exactly like it could be a women’s D&G Light Blue flanker ha The green apple is prominent but also layered with a fresh bouquet-like floral heart that gives the fragrance its signature. This is the definition of a spring fragrance good on the brand releasing it accordingly. The apple has a persistent bitter edge to it that is done very well and also possesses a surprising crispness, quite a nice release overall from Kate Spade! If you enjoy clean fresh crisp profiles like light blue I’d definitely check it out 👍

This smells like the new Bright Bloom scent from Bath and Body works. It’s also a close match to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDT. Overall it’s just a lot more woody then the other two. I LOVE this scent family! My Chanel has awful lasting power ( a joke for the price point) but this lingers. I got 4-5 hours of good wear time, which isn’t that bad for a fresh scent.

Out of all the scents with the same profile as Chance eau Tendre, i think this one comes closest to its majesty. I was worried that the ylang ylang would make it creamy, but I don’t sense that at all. This is a delightful mixture of Daisy, Éclat d’arpège, and chance eau tendre edt. It has entered my favorites immediately

Smells SO good. I love bath and body works “brightest bloom” but it can come off a little grassy sometimes and also doesn’t last. This smells exactly the same, minus that weird grass note, it’s refreshing, floral, sweet and a little woody but in a light way. It is perfect for day time or spring time lovely.

Apple, my nemesis. But I love these Kate Spade bottles. Blue star? Whatever.
