TRULYjoyful

I absolutely love this, my new favorite ginger fragrance and the liveliest dance between ginger and orange (peel). But the longevity is quite poor.

What a shame that it's gone in minutes.

HOLY CREAMSICLE, BATMAN! This smells just like those frozen orange Popsicles of my youth. There is a slight creaminess, but definitely not a full on gourmand smell. Its a sort of cool creamy, not a warm vanilla creamy. (Much like a Popsicle/ice cream!) Its like childhood summers in a perfume. Its a very fun fragrance, but I would not wear this to work, as I feel its too young. Great weekend perfume though. Wear it to your next bbq! You'll smell good enough to eat. I don't get the sour dry down that others have reported. For me this gets more ginger-y with time but the citrus also remains. However, the longevity is not great (on me anyway). I adore this fragrance, but don't feel that it was worth the full retail price as I need to keep reapplying.

No Joy. Truly Tragic IMHO - because it's a gorgeous, wonderful, zingy-peppery-gingery-orange smell with all the iced-lolly appeal of Atelier's Mandarine Glaciale - that shiver of real cool and zest cutting through the heat - but it lasts for ... maybe up to 45 minutes at an absolute maximum. One of the shortest-lived things I've ever sprayed, leaving no trace whatsoever behind once it's burned off the skin within less than an hour. Leaves me feeling cheated and resentful. (yeah, even more than usual.) Bah humbug!

Oh, yeah.....unabashedly citrus. I suspect that similar fragrances do exist. So I don't know if this is unique enough to warrant my getting a bottle, especially if its longevity is scant. However, it is very, very delightful, uplifting and happy-making. You may want to buy it if you are a collector of citrus and don't mind that it doesn't last at all. .

I agree with summersunshine, it totally smells like an orange popsicle (in a good way)! :) It also reminds me of Stella by Tocca, so if you like one you'd probably like the other as well.

Hmmm this is a disappointing blind buy. I was looking forward to a lovely bright, zesty orange, ginger fragrance. All I get is an insect repellent scent. I’m wondering maybe if I need to let the bottle settle a few weeks and try again. 2/02/2022. Update. Ok so I tried again and unfortunately it’s still smelling the same. I guess it’s ok if you want something blah for around the house. I have to say I’m not a fan of the paper label. It feels unfinished or cheap. Looks like a printed the label myself at home. I’m not sure why they did this as it adds nothing. The bottle and cap is fine otherwise and would probably look better without it.

A sweet, not tart, citrus burst. Then, the floral note of pink pepper, followed by the spicier aspect of pink pepper accompanied by ginger. The ginger is not very potent and hot here, more like candied ginger. It becomes a bit more tart as time passes. This comes off as a floral with no flowers. Very simple notes, but works surprisingly well. Each note zings but has a smooth evolution one to the next. Sweet, but far from too fruity or sugary, and a bit tart. Feminine. Cool optimism. Just ok though.

Truly pleasant is what TRULYjoyful is. I have been and remain a fan of many "beast perfumes" but as I age, I find that I'm preferring more "light and bright" fragrances that don't punch me in the face for everyday wear. Citrus is a favorite scent of mine, but I do wish those scent molecules weren't so volatile so they could hang around longer. TRULYjoyful starts with a bright punch of citrus peel, then settles into something more creamy but not very sweet, like custard or even yes, orange creamsicle, like summersunshine observed. The ginger and pepper give it a "spicy-clean" aspect that's just a hint medicinal, which I find comforting. oddly enough. As with the other TRULY fragrances, I love it but it really doesn't last. Within an hour I can barely detect it, although when I head outside to the sunshine, the warmth activates it for a moment. It's so heartbreaking when such a pleasant scent is so fleeting!

I was purchasing TRULYgracious when I decided to try this one. It opened with a breath-taking, photo-real burst of freshly peeled orange that stopped me in my tracks. I immediately grabbed a bottle to purchase as well. But as I did my other shopping, I kept smelling the back of my hand where I had sprayed and the fresh orange peel died down rather too quickly. The ginger came forward and it was sour! I love ginger and ginger ale type fragrances, so this was disappointing. I put the bottle back. I may go in and try it again but spray my neck and clothes and see if it develops any differently. Or just to experience that giddy orange burst again.

After a large initial alcohol blast you get a sweet, refreshing and very pretty orange note followed by a spicy mild vanilla. Yeah, like an orange popsicle. Lovely for the 45 minutes that it lasts. I would only buy a full bottle if it's deeply discounted, if I see it for less than $25.

Fresh burst of orange peel that quickly died down...with a hint of ginger...better off buying all-natural chakra oils from health food stores.
