Billionaire Boyfriend

Lo and behold, i finally have a bottle of Kate Walsh's Billionaire Boyfriend. I found a brand new bottle on eBay for a very good price. The original Boyfriend is one of my favorite fragrances ever, so it was only a matter of time before i found a way to get my hands on this one. Billionaire Boyfriend had some mixed reviews and i couldn't find any reviews on YouTube, so i was skeptical if this was would work for me. But fortunately, this is an absolute love for me. Upon first spray, i get a sharp green blend of Patchouli and Jasmine. It's very bold, but interesting and pleasing enough to want to give it a few more sprays. About 20 minutes in, the Amber really begins to blossom and give me a hint of the original Boyfriend DNA hiding behind that green accord. About an hour on my skin, the Jamsine is slightly detectable as it softens the fragrance without subtracting from it's powerful sillage. I was shocked to not detect any citrus in this fragrance. But with a powerful combo of Patchouli and Amber, Bergamot and Tangerine didn't really stand a chance lol. Billionaire Boyfriend is pure sophistication in a bottle. It's a sexy mature fragrance that leans on the masculine and feminine side. Kate's story behind this entire line amplifies the love i have for this brand because she did what most celebrities didn't do and funded this brand herself to create a fragrances that truly embodied that perfect boyfriend scent. Billionaire Boyfriend lasted 8+ hours on my skin with 4-5 feet of sillage in the first 3-4 hours. This will forever be a staple in my collection. I'm seriously hoping Kate expands her Boyfriend brand with more flankers. Scent: 10/10 Packaging: 8/10 Performance: 10/10

This is a fragrance that takes you on a sensual, dark ride through a lush exotic place at night. I'll admit, when that raw black jasmine hit my senses I was a little afraid of it, but I also felt it turning more pleasant every time I caught another whiff. Very mysterious and beautiful in a strange way. A little bit sweeter after 20 minutes, then the jasmine is in full bloom, supported by the warm amber. Then, a little later, it's really the patchouli/creamy gardenia show as the jasmine steps back and things get a little softer and fuzzier. There is one phase where you can actually visualize the florals and patchouli sort of almost wrestling with each other, almost vying for first position. I like to experience the transformation and the dry down phase, which is leafy green patchouli-ness. This is gorgeous. P.S. Shockingly, this was $2.99 for a .5 at Burlington. How is that possible? And it does smell like Mariah's M, somehow. Update: I agree with Nirvana1, this is absolutely a sassy twin for Jasmin Noir with perhaps a bit more patchouli in the drydown.

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! It's not like any other that I own or wear. I tend to like the more "oriental" or "white floral" and this is a nice blend of both. It has Patchouli, which I have found I love in almost all the perfume I wear. This has a strong Patchouli note, that is nicely blended with Gardenia. It's really just lovely! I'm typically not a fan of celebrity fragrances, as most of them turn sweet (think bubblegum, cottoncandy) on me. This does not. It dries down to a beautiful subtle warm spicy floral. The only thing I wish is that it lasted longer. I find that I need to re-apply after about 5 - 6 hours, so I have the little roll-on that I keep in my purse. This is one that I will keep coming back to, a signiture scent. And if there is even the slightest hint that it will be discontinued, you can bet, I will buy up as many bottles as I can!

Wow! I must be very lucky because BB works fabulously on my skin. I find it warm, dry, slightly sweet, a teeny bit sour, and peppery. It's definitely bold, and I can see how it might put some off. It does remind me of something my teachers used to wear in the 80s, and I'm assuming it's the Charles of the Ritz fragrance others have mentioned. When I first smelled BB, my brain was taken immediately back to junior high -- in a good way. I have to say, I was a little nervous trying this one because I truly dislike original Boyfriend. I got a sample of BB, read the reviews, freaked out a little, and gave it a shot. I was impressed and surprised with the result. So glad I gave it a chance. I now have a generously sized mini of the fragrance in my collection. The lack of love here tells me I should probably get a FB, pronto.

I really love this!!! To me this is everything that "Boyfriend" is not. I wanted to love original "Boyfriend" but there was a pesky myrrh note in it that made it smell like burning rubber on my skin. "Billionaire Boyfriend" delivers all of the yummy stuff I loved about "Boyfriend" sans the myrrh! I am so happy!! It lasts a really long time on me too. The amber and patchouli just smell fantastic in this. It is a really cozy scent for fall and winter sort of powdery sort of ambery...not sure how it would smell in summer heat??? I must grab a bottle of this!!! LOVE!

Was pleasantly surprised by this one. Picked it up on a blind buy bc I love the original Boyfriend. It’s signature fragrance worthy, though I’d be embarrassed to tell anyone what it is if they asked. The name and packaging are tacky. The bottle is so, so bad, but that’s probably why I was able to pick some up for $6 NIB on eBay. This smells much more expensive than it was even at full retail price. I’m wondering if this juice gets better with age bc most of the older, pre-discontinuation reviews are negative while the more recent ones are mostly positive.

I have the roller ball and it smells great. Although for some reason it smells like an old lavender vanilla, or jasmine vanilla Body Shop or Bath & Body Works fragrance. It's creamy and smooth, a relaxing and somewhat sophisticated fragrance. I get a vigorous dose of Jasmine With an underlying gardenia. The patchouli makes it sophisticated. I Really Like this. I tend to go for more tart fragrances that feature rose or peach or peony. But this is both crisp and warm. Or reminds me of a windy late summer day. Love it!

This is gorgeous. I'm not really into patchouli-heavy scents and I find this incredibly addicting. Sweet, deep, earthy, and yet surprisingly wearable. Update: So I'm on a kick of wearing this again, and I find it much cleaner smelling than I remember, and yes, turns into the most beautiful your-skin-but-better scent after a few hours. Amazing longevity on clothing, as well. Hands down one of the best celeb releases.

Surprisingly I had not heard ever of this and received it as a sample and my first impression was that I liked it. The scent has a lingering effect for sure and is strong. My husband currently is sick and can barely breathe out of his nose but was able to pick up on this .. he did tell me I smelled lovely. I put it on this afternoon and can still smell it on my wrists five hours later.

Jimmy Choo Stars reminds me of this one. Stars' notes are softer so I do Stars for day and Billionaire B. for evening, (especially on an away trip) because you wouldn't have to worry about your coat or scarf smelling like both. I hope more people recognize the genius of Billionaire B. It is an awesome fragrance that I also wear on colder days.

I hesitated to buy this, despite loving a sample, because the gold-diggery name and the bottle design seemed so tacky. But I am in love with the actual scent, and found a really good sale on this and the original that helped me get over my reservations. Amber works really well on me, and this is no exception.

I blind bought this thinking I would love it. At first sniff, I do. But somehow, on my skin, it smells like a slimy used car dealer. Loud, brash, cheap, and offensive. I have tried it multiple times, and had to wash it off each time. It's time to give up. If anyone wants it, lmk.

I love this. It's very strong and heady at first but it settles into something very alluring in a short enough period of time. My boy enjoys it as well, which was the sealing deal for me. Definitely a night wear, though.

I am stunned at how much I like - possibly even love - this fragrance! I am VERY selective regarding celebrity scents. I hate to admit it, but there is a little bit of old school perfume snobbery behind that statement, but what can I say! I was spoiled by a dad who said "If she is going to wear perfume, at least let her smell good!" to my mother, after she bought me some kiddy "perfume" called "Tinkerbell", and then presented me with a bottle of Arpege at the wise, old age of 7! Miss you, Dad! Anyway - I digress. A fellow perfumista told me about this one, so when I saw a rollerball bottle on Ebay for $6, I figured "Why not?" It is now in that exclusive pantheon of celebrity scents I really like, or love! This is all about the amber on me, and this amber reminds of Prada Amber. I am now going to purchase a full bottle, because I really don't get any florals in this - white or otherwise - and I think the spray will help me with that! The longevity is poor on my skin, so it will be great to have a FB to spray with wild abandon and the rollerball to freshen it up. I know that "Boyfriend" is the one with all the positive buzz surrounding it, but having never smelled it, I'll stick with my Billionaire! EDIT - Two additional notes. This calls to mind Amber Vanilla by Laura Mercier, which I consider a warm and cozy scent. Unfortunately, while I still enjoy it overall, it's cheapness becomes more obvious when sprayed on - I get the distinct smell of some sort of disinfectant, which I am going to attribute to an inferior quality patchouli note. I struggle to smell any florals in this! To me it is a gourmandish oriental, though they may be more apparent to me at some point. Still nice for bed time, but downgraded to Like.

I'm smelling some white florals, especially gardenia, done in a very accessible way (not over the top, or flamboyant, or soapy, heady, or headache/nausea inducing), plus a bit of unlisted musk. I see comparisons to Bvlgari's Jasmin Noir, but I disagree. It actually brings the BLV family to mind (Bvlgari Blv pour Femme and both the men's and women's Blv Nottes). It isn't BLV, but the musk/floral accord smells really similar to me. I'm not sure who the nose is for this. It does seem to have Bvlgari DNA. I do seem to smell the orchid, which is funny because I'm not sure what orchids really smell like, but it "seems" to smell "like it has orchid" in it. I also detect a bit of amber and maybe patchouli, but I'd never have thought patchouli would be the second-most voted note. I'm not sure why that blue "dislike" bar is so long, but I think it is due to a bunch of original Boyfriend fans who were outraged by a flanker that doesn't bear any resemblance to that cult favorite. Incidentally, I'm a fan of all the notes in Boyfriend, but I find that composition to be just so-so. I'm less of a fan of these listed notes, and very leery of anything musk. But I find myself liking this one quite well. Of course, it helps that Bvlgari is one of my favorite houses. This perfume is found cheaply on ebay. I bought mine for $6 including shipping. If you like Bvlgari, enjoy the listed notes, and are NOT expecting another original Boyfriend, this is probably a safe blind buy.

I'm actually surprised at all of the negative reviews on here! I understand that fragrance taste is personal but there are quite a few unfavorable reviews!! The name and the tag line for this perfume are both ridiculous but at the end of the day, I can get past that. I aso don't even know who Kate Walsh is. Again, not important. As long as she's not a mass murderer, I feel okay buying her perfume lol! As far as the scent, I find it surprisingly unique for a celebrity fragrance. Something a bit more complex, dark, and mature. Don't get me wrong, I love my sweet scents. I just enjoy having a variety. The scent consists of top notes: patchouli, amber; middle notes: jasmine, gardenia, orchid, base notes: green, tangerine, bergamot. The patchouli and amber anchor the scent and provide a dark and mature addition while the tangerine and gardenia notes give this a sweet floral drydown. I should probably mention that I am a big fan of patchouli. With that being said, those that do not care for patchouli or gardenia may not like this fragrance as they are quite prevalent. The sillage is pretty strong so I spray this on a less conspicuous area of my body (my lower abdomen) and at a distance. The lasting power is only so-so which is surprising for the sillage-monster that it is. Overall, spray sparingly and patchouli/gardenia-lovers like me should give this a go.

The card that came with my sample said, "Who wants to be a millionaire...when you can have a Billionaire?" It's a play on the title of the show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". I laughed and thought what an incredibly stupid and tacky catch phrase. I was *this close* to throwing the sample in the trash, but, you see, I have a rule that no matter how much a dislike it, I never throw perfume into the garbage. It turned out to be a very sunny floral. The reason it impressed me was because although white floral perfumes are so common these days, this one had a base that gave it a, um, richness (no pun intended!). I closed my eyes and tried to picture a Billionaire wearing it. While I still think a Billionaire would wear something exclusive or custom-made, I don't think this would be a bad choice for a Billionaire sunning herself on the deck of her yacht, in the azure seas beyond the high cliffs of Monte Carlo. It's also a good choice for a wannabe Billionaire. I'm definitely one of those. I actually considered buying this stuff. I also find the bottle tacky, yet I like it!

I have many, many more expensive perfumes... but when I really just want to get laid, THIS is the perfume he cannot resist. When he smells it on me, he starts kissing my fingertips, then my wrist, my elbow, my shoulder... You get the picture. Me, I like the fragrance just fine myself, but I'd never make it my daily wear because I'm afraid I'd have strange men following me home. I couldn't really blame them, either -- it's dead sexy. It's a gorgeous scent, not overpowering or in-your-face animalic. But there's a trace of musk, and maybe some incense, that somehow brings to mind a pile of jewel-toned satin pillows in a pasha's tent. It's luxurious and sensual, and it lasts all evening, from the moment we choose the restaurant, through dinner and dessert, entertainment, and the ride home. By the time we're back in our own home, he's nearly mad with desire! Needless to say, I've stockpiled several bottles of this precious juice.

Kinda surprised at all the hate for this fragrance, considering the dry down of Billionaire Boyfriend shares the same warm amber notes of the original (Poor?) Boyfriend. Billionaire Boyfriend is basically a woodsy fragrance with a fleeting citrus top note. I love the sandalwood here, it is creamy and delightful. It plays nice with the jasmine heart notes. The patchouli is very clean and gives the fragrance a nice twist from the original, but the amber dry down cannot be hidden. For anyone who cannot do the myrrh note of the original Boyfriend, I think they will enjoy Billionaire Boyfriend.

It's a very light scent. I can barely smell this on. Very close to skin. I don't detect patchouli. The amber is very prominent and also the jasmine and green note. There is a tad of zest but barely detectable. The fragrance is creamy, has a natural sweetness. It is balanced, the citric notes add a soapiness scent, very subtle. This is a safer scent, I think, than Boyfriend. I like it but don't love it. It's fine to keep a roller ball of this but not full bottle worthy in my opinion. I love Kate Walsh as an actress, too bad I didn't love this perfume or her other one as much.

Wow! This smells amazing. I don’t have a huge collection of fragrances, but this is one of my favorites, and I just got it today. I’m sad it is discontinued, but I’m glad I have a bottle now. My daughter and I both sample any new fragrances together, and she also loves it, said, “This smells classy.” I agree with Mdox407, everything in the review, except I haven’t smelled the original Boyfriend. I sure want to now!

This scent is very reminiscent to Narciso Rodriguez EDT in the black bottle. The note pyramids are very similar!

The original "Boyfriend" is much better than this one by far.

I got this for my mom years ago and she never wore it, so she gave it back to me. I don't know if it's turned sour since then, but she kept it away from the sunlight. So I have to assume the juice is still good (?) nearly 10 years later. The opening smells like how the bottle looks. Maybe it's the green notes, making it seem clean and watery. It somehow has a glassy, metallic sort of vibe to it. After 5 or 10 minutes it transforms into something heady and animalic. Dare I say musty, a stark contrast from the bright and clean top notes. The thing that 'ruins' it for me is that the gardenia and the jasmine persist throughout. Which is fine if you like those notes. But I personally associate gardenia and jasmine as the "default perfume flowers" and I start to get an old-lady vibe. It just reminds me of every single mature floral perfume I used to smell on the adults at family gatherings and holidays. The opening is so bright and vibrant and youthful and then it turns kind of sour, dirty and dusty. Ordinarily, I'd blame that on the patchouli, but I've been experimenting with a lot of patchouli lately, and patchouli is a little more 'cool' and 'peppery' to me than this... This is like if Versace Bright Crystal turned sour with a little cat pee. But like I said, it may be that the perfume has turned a bit... It's an interesting roller coaster. But it's too mature and almost too masculine & leathery for me- I was hoping for clean, youthful and feminine. Basically, I wish the heart of the fragrance was more similar to the top notes.

This hidden gem (along with Boyfriend) were just victims of low budget marketing. The creator Kate Walsh (of Grey’s Anatomy and recently The Umbrella Academy fame) undertook this herself, rather than share control and in turn profits/expenses with a celebrity-frag go to like Coty. As such, marketing costs are obscene and it likely became too much for the ambitious actor. Both frags were in Sephora for a bit but I know from experience it’s a rabbit hole of costs. All this to say, if you can forgive an artist for trying to stay independent (and the resultant sad marketing/packaging) you just may find this as well as Boyfriend to be beautiful, addictive, yet reasonably affordable scents. BB in particular has longevity and sillage I was pleasantly surprised by and its amber base is truly noteworthy in my opinion, very elegant.

I love the original Boyfriend scent. It has a delicious bonfire/woodsmoke feel that reminds me very much of autumn. Billionaire Boyfriend isn’t so much a success in my opinion. I don’t despise it, but I don’t find anything stand-out about it. It’s quite a bit flatter and linear, lacking the depth that Boyfriend has in it’s resiny sweet-woody character. Billionaire Boyfriend is a thick jasmine and gardenia scent, with a sharply green note. The entire duration of this fragrance reminds me somewhat of the drydown of Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, albeit a little synthetic in comparison. There is a similar unisex-jasmine feel with this one, but Jasmin Noir is darker, creamier, and warmer in comparison. Overall BB is less sweet and less predictable than many celebrity scents, however it's not one I would purchase. Jasmin Noir is a better rendition of a thick jasmine-gardenia, and it has some lovely hints of almond and licorice that BB does not. As a side note, what was Kate Walsh thinking with this embarrassing marketing and packaging? The original Boyfriend concept was silly...but this one is 10 times worse. With both Kate Walsh's perfumes, there seems to be a major discord between the scent itself and the marketing.

Awful, awful, awful! This perfume is guaranteed to repell boyfriends rather than attract one. It smells like a granny who is trying to mask the smell of her 100 cats by bathing in this terribly cloying old-lady smell. It smells sickly sweet - like a rat that just died from arsenic rat poison and is rotting in the attic. And the worse part is that it Just. Won't. Go. Away. I received a sample from Sephora so I sprayed it once (just once) on the back of my knee. The silage is so strong that just walking to my car from my room made me want to gag. I tried to wash it off the moment I got to work (I had to drive with all the windows down to keep from suffocating)and it wouldn't come off. I washed my skin 3 times and even attempted to use rubbing alcohol. Still there. Now, 2 showers and 24 hours later - I still smell traces of the darned thing on my fingers (I'm guessing it transferred when I was attempting to scrub it off with cheap, watered down rest room soap). By far the worst perfume sample I've ever tried!

BILLIONAIRE BOYFRIEND is one of the most potent fragrances on first spray. There was a shock factor to it and I immediately detected heavy patchouli with a mix of sharp floral notes -- not very appealing on my skin nor to my nose. I've learned not to judge a fragrance from what I inhale during the initial blast, I decided to give it time to get to its dry down. After a few minutes, the earlier shock has dissipated (at last) and it's turned into a toned down version of what I smelled before. I still get the patchouli with the floral notes but are now softer. Hmmmm ... it has potential, unfortunately not for me. I guess, this is one of those fragrances that you have to give ample time to reach it's more mellow side. The reason why the roller ball works better than the spray, since the roller ball does not give you that initial shock factor and goes straight to the softer aspect of the scent.

The reviewer who mentioned "Forever Krystle" hit the nail on the head! I received a sample of this from Sephora, so I tried it. A scent memory nagged and nagged and nagged at me, but I couldn't place what fragrance this smells like. Indeed, it is DEFINITELY Forever Krystle, which was worn by everyone and her grandmother in the late 1980s (except me because I was fumigating everything within 4 miles of me with Camp Beverly Hills). Forever Krystle back then literally reminded me of my Nana's "Royal Secret" and wouldn't you know, "Billionaire Boyfriend" does too! I never could pull off either Royal Secret or Forever Krystle but I do think they are striking, interesting fragrances. Billionaire Boyfriend, not so much.

I do not like Billionaire Boyfriend. B.O. There is a note, or combination of notes, that is reminiscent of body odor. Someone mentioned cat piss, others have mentioned old lady, but it just has a smell of a "ripe" person after a work out or a long summer hot day. I detect: - Floral, generic - Amber, the only nice note in this to me - Bergamot - Where, oh where, is the tangerine? This sweaty floral might be appealing to a select few, and maybe even smell good on fewer, but I find it off putting on me. I'm going to go wash it off now. 1/10 2/10 headache factor. Does not give me a headache, but my sinuses reacted to this.

Got a sample from Sephora based on the description. Sounds like a good idea like having a monstrously rich boyfriend. But came off wrong--like the money's gone to his head and now you're stuck in the limo with him, when all you really need to do is stop for starbucks before you run your Saturday errands. It's got all the rich white florals that you would expect in a gift bottle from your personal billionaire, but its got a heavy masculine bully in the bottle. Like you're trapped in the car with him and he's wearing more juice than you are.

When I first sprayed this on, I really liked it. It was warm and woody, and the gardenia didn't feel too dominant. There was even a rubbery note, but I was able to overlook it due to what felt like an effortless synergy between the orchid, gardenia, amber, and patchouli. Unfortunately, the more time passed, the more the gardenia began to take over and something in this scent started to give me a headache. I envy those who have the right chemistry for it, but for now, I will settle for being in love with the original Boyfriend.

i got a sample of this in my Sephora order, so i tried it. i don't like it - too much high pitched white floral and waaay too much gardenia. once it settled in, though, i figured out what it really reminds me of : Forever Krystle! i guess since that's from 1984, it doesn't show up in the "This Perfume Reminds Me Of" options, but it *is* listed here, under "Forever Krystle Charles of the Ritz for women"

I did not care for this scent. I LOVE patchouli, but didn't really smell it through the sticky sweetness. It reminded me of Tropical Lifesavers that melted in a old lady's leather coat pocket. I don't mean to be surly; this is actually what BB smells like to me! I usually find something positive about a fragrance I would like to try, even though it's not 'for me'...not this time.

I enjoy the opening well enough, amber and citrus. Then the top notes dissipate and it is drydown time. Good so far, more amber and patchouli - warm spicy sweet - and then turns stale within half an hour. Gave it 3 or 4 tries and now my sample is living in my rejects bag. Sorry, BB, but I don't want to see you anymore. Do you have a brother? ;)

Pretty generic modern floral. Nothing ground breaking or stunning here, fairly unisex, moderate sillage and lasting power. Smells like it has a musk note, but it doesn't - must be the patchouli. Wearable and work safe are probably the best attributes of this fragrance. Not bad but not great either. Not my style, so it's going up for swap.

I didn't like Boyfriend and I don't like Billionaire Boyfriend either. These scents really don't have feminine qualities to them and in Billionaire Boyfriend I detect a heavy leather note that I dislike.

Smells like a public restroom with that cheap room spray but I'm keeping it for awhile just for the bottle

Very stinky, I got a sample with my Sephora order and barf ...I just tried it on my wrist and had to wash it off because it started giving me such a headache.If someone was around me wearing it ,I would get up and leave,to me that's how bad this stinks.Like something a very old lady hard of smelling would wear.Not young or flirtly.Just bad.I couldn't get into the smell long enough to figure out the notes.But it stuck to me even after I washed my wrist ,I had to take a shower to wash away the smell.

Wow. Just...WOW!! I said it with the original "Boyfriend," and I'm gonna start off this review saying the same. This perfume absolutely STUNNED me. What happened was an Ebay seller originally made a mistake. I ordered a small .5oz bottle of the perfume and what came instead was 4 full size roller balls. All us fragrance addicts know that rolling some oil on your wrists and neck is NOT the same thing as spraying yourself with your choice of the day perfume. However, I didn't complain or return it because from the roller balls...I then knew I loved the smell and that in the near future when I do get my hands on a bottle of the perfume, that I would use the two products simultaneously. That was back in like Feb or March of 2020. Fast forward to June of 2020...I got my hands on a 1.7oz bottle of this perfume for only like $26! Which is a steal considering the fact that it is not only expensive smelling...but discontinued as well. So now onto the review. This is seriously GORGEOUS. I think I like this one and the original Boyfriend equally but they are both STUNNING, elegant, extremely unique, both are EASILY unisex...and both left me speechless when I sprayed them. And the cherry on top is they both perform like a perfume should...not 1-2 hours of scent like a big portion of modern day releases. I actually don't find this too different from the original Boyfriend. They're certainly not identical but they're definitely cousins. They're both deep, mature (but not old lady like), alluring, seductive...I find them both so sexy. But Boyfriend is more syrupy, more sweet for sure due to all that vanilla, whereas Billionaire Boyfriend has these beautiful floral notes mixed with that Amber note. The Jasmine & Gardenia are so beautiful in this. But the Amber gives this perfume such warmth, goodness it's like that warm, sweet, but seductive hug that you're craving in chilly weather. I cannot BELIEVE that this is discontinued but I'm hoping to the heavens and back that she resurrects this one like she did with her debut perfume. And it's really a shame that this perfume will never get the attention it deserves. This smells SO good, SO high quality, and it LASTS. That dislike bar above is absurd. I'm guessing a lot of people that voted with a dislike haven't even smelled it. This is so beautiful. Even my Mother who is EXTREMELY picky with perfumes...(she probably only likes about 15%-20% off the perfumes that I order) sprayed this one on her wrist and said it was a strong like for her. This is beautiful. I have NO idea how someone could dislike this perfume. It's so beautiful, deep, resinous, sweet, but all of the accords are PERFECTLY balanced. Nothing is cloying or overpowering. My advice if you're blind buying is order the rollerballs as they're really cheap right now on Ebay. And if you like it...order a bottle. Most of the ones you can find now a days are damaged bottles...but the juice inside hadn't turned rancid not one bit, it was perfectly intact. Longevity - 6-8 hours depending on amount of sprays and where. I recommend spraying most of this one on your neck and about 2 sprays on your shirt. It'll last all day and people will notice it. It really performs well. Projection - About 2 and a half feet. Overall Score - 9/10. Maybe even a 9.5/10. This is literally close to perfect for me. As perfect as I've smelled. This is beautiful. ABSOLUTELY...beautiful. Trust me and order this one guys! And SPREAD THE WORD!! Maybe it'll get brought back!

I have the purse size roller ball oil, and I like it a lot! It's a soft, sweet, kind of "oily" gardenia/orchid scent. No big silage, stays close to skin, average lasting power. Very nice! Personally I find it charming, even though no innovative or original in any way. Wearable and for sure will not offend anyone. I have never tested the original Boyfriend, but this one is lovely and warm. EDIT: I have fallen in love with this. It is the one and only "celebrity" scent I own. I guess this is the exception to underline the rule.... because usually I dislike ALL celebrity perfumes. They smell cheap and synthetic to me, and I don't believe I am a snob at all, I just happened to have smelled hundreds of perfumes and I became a little more discerning. Back to this Billionaire thing.... well, it makes me smile. Many people say the ad is tacky. To me it's just plain funny. It has a sense of humour. It's a comedy. Starting with the video, and ending with the Latin writing on the bottle! The scent itself is a smooth and sweet, waxy gardenia. It actually has a similarity with Micallef's Gardenia, if you're familiar with that. Feminine, soft, very sexy and sensual. From the rollerball ( that was a gift from SexyMe ), I think I must get a FB. I wonder if the edp is different than the oil. I will update. EDIT again: The edp smells similar to the oil . The oil is smoother. The edp has better sillage. The bottle is just hideous!!!! Too bad the roller oil was so pretty. I truly dislike it. The gems around the neck are comming off. There is a rectangle on the bottom of the bottle, sitting not straight under the metalic paint. The actual sticker is on top of it. The silvery / steel colored paint seems to want to peel off the corners. Maybe it is the effort of making this bottle look vintage. But the perfume is indeed a gorgeous gardenia, a little spicy and woody, a little sweet and very buttery / creamy. Edit again.... well, after gettin the edp, I must admit I am rather disappointed... firstly the bottle is ugly and the scent is way to strong for my taste. The oil is much softer. So I my bottle is up for swaps, if you care for it.

I found an old sample of this. This has probably been sitting in my little box of samples for 10 years. I was not into fragrance when I got this sample.. it was thrown in a box and forgotten about. The drydown smells similar Egyptian musk and together they work wonders. Overall this fragrance is very nice. At first spray you might believe it’s turned, but the drydown is fantastic. I’m not a fan of patchouli at all, but I am not bothered by the patchouli in this whatsoever. Edit- I’ve become quite the frag head and out of many fragrances, this is starting to become a favorite. I love Egyptian musk oil and nothing compliments EM like this fragrance does. Believe me , I’ve smelled all the Narcisco’s. There is more of a natural element in BB that any Narcisco lacks. Narcisco is like Laundry detergent version of Egyptian musk while Billionaire is the sex version. Ive had a few inquiries while wearing this. I had someone chase me down at the grocery store to ask me what I was wearing.. and another while I was outside pumping gas. There’s something about this scent that men like.. 2nd edit a few months later- I think this is my ultimate favorite fragrance. For real. The bottle is stupid.. but man.. when I wear this with my favorite Egyptian Musk oil, magic happens. I went and bought 13 bottles off eBay equaling almost 7 ounces. And you know what the best Egyptian Musk is?? The cheap clear vintage version you can buy in bulk on eBay... Zelda’s. I’ve got almost every kind of EM. I have the one K Bessett Kennedy supposedly wore, Kumba’s, Nemat... Zelda’s is the best and it’s the stinkiest and it’s dirt cheap. Combined with B-Boyfriend... this has become so damn iconic and special to me.. you couldn’t even put a price on this. They don’t make BB anymore, they probably lost access to what makes this stuff smell so good... and you know what is even better? No one else wears this. I should keep quiet but can’t help myself.. some in the frag community are deserving of knowing this combo of excellence exists and part of me wants some kind of cred for discovering it.

I LOVE the original Boyfriend fragrance from Kate Walsh, so of course this one intrigued me as well. I found a small .5 oz bottle of Billionaire Boyfriend at TJ Maxx for next to nothing and decided that I had to try it. I have to say, I don't get the reviews stating that the white florals are super strong. They are present, yes, and I find that I smell more gardenia than jasmine, myself. Amber and patchouli are definitely present. I also read in the reviews that this fragrance is similar to Queen Latifah's Queen of Hearts which I happen to LOVE. I tested them side by side and at first they are similar. But as they dry down Queen of Hearts retains a richer, spicier quality that is still somewhat smooth while BB becomes sweeter and more subdued and loses much of the inital character. BB is lacking in some depth, IMO. It also sweetens as time passes which makes for a kind of strange combination of notes - there is almost a "waxiness" to the smell, if that makes sense. Maybe that is the impression from the white florals? Overall I have to say I don't dislike Billionaire Boyfriend. It isn't even close to as good as the original, but it really isn't bad. I think this was worth the shot and I am sure I will wear it again, just not all that frequently.

I wouldn’t call that a rant at all. And she said it smells good with Egyptian musk, she never said BB smells like Egyptian musk. Rude. Anyways I truly appreciate the long detailed reviews and when it’s read in the mind it’s really not long at all. I’ve never heard of this perfume until I just went to my perfume oil carrier and they have it as an oil so I had to look it up. Egyptian musk does not work well with my chemistry in any weather but I am willing to try the Billionaire Boyfriend. And I appreciate you letting us in on a magical mix. I too have been chased down at the grocery store twice in one day and once another day. I was wearing Pure Poison with Jlo Glow. The twice in a day I was wearing Charlie Gold with Avon Rare Gold— I’m a bold $itch with my scents and as much as there are ones who complain about my perfumes, there are also those that delight in them with me 😊. It’s always super fun to find a good layering mix and to actually remember it is even more awesome! I too love sharing when I’ve found a glory mix 😋. So thanks for sharing! And no room here for haters or jealousy- you will be downvoted off.

This smells like a calmer properly trained Black Orchid. I like this. I own Black Orchid and at one time it was in my top five scents. But after a while Black Orchid's strength was a little too pushy for me, so I've given it a break for a while. So if Billionaire Boyfriend is a tamed Black Orchid it should be perfect, right? Not quite. I can't decide if it has been tamed or beaten into submission. Because I couldn't decide, I went ahead and bought the rollerball instead of committing to a bottle. The oil is sweet with bursts of gardenia and orchid. The tangerine and the lime over lightly green notes provide a base that keeps it from becoming too heady. The hint of jasmine makes it just a stitch naughty. Light, pretty, white florally sweet. I don't think it does anything to really distinguish itself, but it stands well on its own. This is a nice "pretty girl" perfume. If this review sounds negative, it's not. I just LOVED Boyfriend, so I'll admit I was a little disappointed with this. Still I give it a thumbs up.

@nataliemarie.. rant? Wow this is a fragrance forum.. where we talk about fragrances. I wouldn’t call that a rant. No one’s ever dissed me on a forum like this.. and if you have Egyptian musk and BB, you shouldn’t knock it unless you have tried it. They smell wonderful together. TOGETHER. You shouldn’t be mean about a dead fragrance that no one wears... a fragrance that I have recently found joy in. I’m not sure what grocery store you shop at.. but my grocery store certainly doesn’t smell like rotting fruit and fish. Let’s not come together and make rules about what we wear while grocery shopping. Wow. How deep. Haha. Also.. this isn’t a page for Forever Krystal, sorry BB didn’t bring about the 80s nostalgia you wanted. If you don’t like this fragrance, then try it with EM. Also, 2005 called, they want their hair and make up back.

This perfume makes me kinda sad because it reminds me of a time in my life (2013) where I could have turned right instead of left and had a different outcome. It's a beautiful, sexy scent: masculine while still remaining very much a women's fragrance. This is classic and the sexiness could be described by the style of someone who did have a billionaire boyfriend: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. You could wear this with a crisp, white boyfriend oxford, expensive jeans (I'm thinking Mother) and black Birkenstocks and look like a million, sorry billion, bucks. Carolyn's style was so simple, so classic, yet so fucking sexy! She was a bad bitch for sure (RIP) and there's something about this fragrance that evokes that style. That mood. That savage vibe. I love the animalic mid. It smells a bit pissy but I like it.

I love this scent, it's masculine in a spicy warm way with a floral bouquet that smells expensive. I prefer the original boyfriend because it leans more sweet gourmandish and this is more floral but in a robust and dark way. I really do love it though and get compliments on it. It's one of my favorites of my limited floral collection and I don't go for florals usually. It's discontinued so get the last of the ones available when and where you can. The actual boyfriend site had some of this left and that is where I ordered mine. I think this is a scent for a confident person and it gives off good taste and safistication. The name and the bottle design are so cheese ball and it's only downfall but the scent is very well executed. In the top of its kind and for a decent price.

Hmm this doesn't smell like I'd expect a billionaire boyfriend to smell like irl( I think oud should be in there somewhere) but it's not a disappointment. The notes together give the image of freshly pressed shirts, a glass of amaretto and something papery even though papyrus isn't listed I am gett I g it. So...a clean guy drinking liqueur while counting his money or signing checks? I'm ok with it. Kind of light, could be a bit woodier. Whatever patchouli is very light to my.nose and not that noticeable but this note probably depends on body chemistry. There is also something of a woman's milky skin scent and very light flowers. Edit: After wearing this a few times I've decided I really like it. It's that " milky skin scent but better" depositor being too dirty.
