Mad Love by Katy Perry is a flanker perfume that didn't deserve to be a flanker perfume....if that makes sense. In comparison to Mad Potion, the "original" pillar scent, Mad Love is much better, smell and longevity wise. Mad Potion, deemed a flop perfume due to it's underwhelming smell and lasting power (a light fruity scent with the lasting power of 10 minutes) didn't deserve to be released before Mad Love, in my honest opinion. Now onto the scent, to me Mad Love smells like strawberries and cream, like a lot of people are saying...or strawberry yoghurt/custard. I also get a light powdery scent upon dry down. The comparisons of this perfume with Meow are very unnecessary, as they are two completely different scents. Yes, they're both vanilla-based scents, however Meow is more Pear/orange scented while Mad Love is berry (strawberry, raspberry) scented. Longevity is pretty good, sprayed a tone of it on myself in the morning and it's 7pm at night and I can still smell it. Not a fan of the packaging, but I don't care as long as the scent is good, and in this case it is. I rate this perfume an 8/10, I very much enjoy Katy's fragrances and this one is definitely one of my favourites, definitely the best recent scent she's released since Meow (2011).

I used to like Katy Perry until the absolute clownery she has been pulling off for the past year. 143 was an atrocious, soulless, AI generated mess of an album, like I genuinely felt insulted when I listened to that album the whole way through. That horrible album, combined with that waste-of-money faux feminist "let's go to space for 11 minutes!" stunt and her working with an abuser, killed any interest I had in her which is unfortunate because I do quite enjoy her older work. That being said, I bought Mad Love off of vinted for €7 about 3 months ago because it was a steal and I didn't wanna give Katy my money. I'm afraid she really killed it with Mad Love. Its a creamy, lactonic coconut and strawberry forward scent and it is just very very pleasant. It's like a strawberry yoghurt topped with whipped cream and coconut shavings. Honestly a great scent for spring and summer and its gotten me quite a few compliments, plus the bottle is really adorable and suits the scent very well. My dislike for Katy herself aside, Mad Love is an impressively good light, creamy, strawberry and coconut gourmand, plus its pretty affordable on resale so I'd recommend giving it a try (just buy it on resale so you don't give Katy your money).

Another flacon of mad!! By katy perry.. This is sweet and little sour perfume!! I thought mad love is more better than the mad potion.. But no! Its a fragrance for 5 years old kid.. Im little disappointed to the bottle color. Its like they put a first coating and thats it! And never put a second coating to make the color vivid and visible like what u can see in the picture or adverstisement! I like the marble cap but its not really made from the marble which i thought in the picture is a real marble. The box is more little than the mad potion. Its plan white box with a touch of marble color. And peach and an arrow design..with a heart shape. About the scent.. I like it but not loving it! Like her pther perfume like killer queen... The mad love is a light scents.. Easy to wear. The longevity n sillage is normal..not over powering. I cnsmell the sweet n sour at the first spray and the dry down is sweet..every kids will love it.. Btw synthetic scents also but in a good way..

Well.. I tested this fragrance before I bought it. And as I said here before, I love it so much that I bought 3 bottles of it. Sometimes is good to give a second chance as I've learned that is good soon after you bought a perfume to wait a few days for the scent to settle. I always give a second or even a third chance to a new fragrance that I bought . Works most of the times as when I do, the scent does change for better! This one ( Mad Love) worked soon after I've sprayed for the first time! And just to remind the same thing again...this one lasts all day on me ( I even don't need to put a moisturizer on before apply as works brilliant on my skin) and the sillage is incredible too (again, left a trail even hours after I've applied). One of the best celeb. Fragrances in my opinion so far ( quality is as good as midnight fantasy). Edit: just a reminder, this is a strong fragrance, spray with moderation.

I would say taking in count quality and price ratio... this is the best Katy Perry perfume. There's bottles incredibly cheap out there but trust me, this is a good fragrance. Coconut ice cream and strawberries. Nothing more, nothing less. The smell is incredibly realistic, and delicious. The fruity berry phase, on me, is a little bit shorter than I would've like, leaving a creamy coconut and sandalwood base. But regardless, this is lovely. If you like Burberry Her, this is a good grab. It's not a dupe, but they're on the same vein. This is very sweet and performance it's surprisingly good for its price, around 4/5 hours with strong projection the first 3. It's very versatile and I would say it's safe to wear this all year round, on the daytime, or even as a bedtime perfume, since the creaminess it's very relaxing.

Strawberry coconut ice cream and shampoo. Creamy sweet and tropical strawberry.. has some notes in common with Ariana Grande’s Sweet Like Candy because of the creamy yet tart berry note. Because I own both, I did a side by side comparison and Mad Love is sweeter and more buttery due to the coconut. Sweet Like Candy is darker, less sweet and more musky. It’s more like a blackberry fro yo, than a strawberry coconut ice cream like Mad Love. If you own one, you don’t really need the other, but they aren’t dupes like I originally thought they were before my side by side comparison. Also wanted to add that this will not be mistaken for something of higher quality. It smells cheap, like the corner store junk food of gourmands. I don’t dislike that about it though, just mentioning so you won’t be disappointed.

To me, this smells a lot like Sol De Janeiro's Brazilian Crush Cheirosa '62, just with added strawberry and surprisingly, less synthetic. Cheirosa 62' is pistachio+coconut ice cream, while this one is strawberry+coconut. While it is definitely sweet, it remains fresh and would be great for warmer weather. I enjoy it much more than I expected to, to the point I showed it to my sister (I always like to show her my fav perfumes like they are my babies) and she also said it smells great. The bottle design is hideous though. I've concluded that I enjoy more girly, sweet (dare I say mass-appealing) perfumes, although my overall style is quite the opposite. I tried to love deeper, darker ones and most of them just give me headaches, so this one is right up my alley.

Huge fan of Purr and Meow. I'd call this this as Meow's older sister, or maybe even her young aunt. Mad Love and Mad Potion are both very different, where Mad Potion has a heavier vanilla base. The initial scent of Mad Love may come off a bit like conditioner because of how creamy it is, but it dries down subtle and smooth to a sweet coconut/floral type. Not the most luxurious scent, but I don't think you'd be expecting that from Katy Perry. It's more of a low-mid tier but still very youthful, pretty, and feminine. I've seen other reviewers sense bleeding heart flowers and I get a hint of it as well! Its a sweetheart to layer with <3

On the first sniff of this perfume I was obsessed! I got sorbet and coconut mixed with raspberry and it is such an intoxicating and sweet fruity masterpiece! The best part of all from this perfume is that one it is long lasting on clothes and skin, and two is that I got a tester bottle of this for only nine dollars from fragrancex.com!!!! I haven’t bought my second bottle yet only because I haven’t been able to wear any perfume since I have been stuck inside because of quarantine but sometimes when I’m in a really sad mood I put on mad love just to rise my spirits and it works every time! I love this great job Katy Perry!!!!

I am very happy to find this perfume! I bought recently as I love when I have give a try days ago and realised how much lasted and how nice fragrance! I am in my latest 30 but I really don't agree this idea that a perfume ' should' be only for teens. Taste of fragrances is something too personal! I always love sweet smells ( not too sickly obviously). I never agree when someone label a perfume for only a certainly type of age! All the fragrances have the same basic ingredients ( either flowery, fruit...oriental...and so on). I well recommended this one as I got a lot of compliments when I wore recently! Is gorgeous!!

This was a blind buy for me - I was ordering something online and I just threw this into the cart because it was so cheap and I hadn't smelled it before. Now I've probably smelled every perfume available in the department store and as ironically it may seem this became my absolute favorite perfume! I wear it practically every day, sometimes I layer it with Narciso Rodriguez For Her. Mad Love is so sweet and delicious, I always get compliments wearing this. Sillage and lasting powers are really good! Does anyone else get a bit of licorice notes from it? Oh well. Why did a cheap celebrity frag have to be my favorite 🤡

Okay I'm actually surprised by how much I like this one. The bottle is cuter in person, I thought the pictures looked kind of cheesy but I actually really love the "love potion" type bottle. I find this very inoffensive. On me it's faint more of an "on the skin" scent but after smelling some really aggressive perfumes the last couple of days, I kind of appreciate this one's quietness. Kind of enticing like "I smell good but you won't know unless you're really close to me". I definitely smell the strawberry and coconut most of all but don't find either of the smells too aggressive or synthetic. I'd rate this an 8/10.

Call me basic, this fragrance is rather fun! I've been itching for a fun fruity fragrance for summer - I bought Skulls & Roses, Dazzle, and Mad Love. Mad Love happens to be my favorite of the 3! Mad Love opens with a "body mist" strawberry note. The body mist strawberry note is assisted by a gentle citrus accord. The coconut is far behind, but still very detectable. Thankfully, the coconut does not dominate Mad Love as coconut is such an aggressive note. The coconut is actually the first to tap out, and Mad Love ends on a very nice note of strawberry and citrus. I wish this came in a deodorant spray! I love it!

The truth is that I did not expect much from this perfume. When I put on the first feeling, it smells good ... It is a perfume with a medium intensity and a duration of about 4 hours. The first aromas I feel is like a fruit cocktail, juicy and appetizing. At the beginning it almost smells like melon, but it doesn't have, I can't say that the aroma of the strawberry is exactly strawberry, I guess it's because of the rest of the fruits that go with it, but I like it a lot, it's very nice. When time passes, the coconut is present in a very interesting and appealing way, I was surprised and I liked it a lot

This is a strawberry and coconut dream! If you like meow then you will love this fragrance. I think meow is a slightly fruitier version of this. I love them both but I think I prefer this one. I always find myself spraying this on before bed too as it is so warm and comforting. My boyfriend always compliments me when I wear this fragrance. This was a blind buy for me (I have actually blind bought all of Katy's fragrances) I am a huge fan of Katy's fragrances and if you are too then this is a must have for your collection. I bought the 100ml bottle online from all beauty for £11.95. You can't go wrong.

I love this perfume!! From the first smell I really enjoyed it!! It’s the perfect strawberry scent!! To my nose I get a fresh strawberry. The coconut and apple keep it from being overly sweet and lend an airiness to it! I don’t smell anything lactonic and I don’t find this to be like a strawberry milkshake or a sugar bomb! Comparing this to Burberry her I see this as a more palatable strawberry. I like Burberry her but it does lean quite synthetic. Therefore this being strawberry but also fresh might appeal to more people and be easier to wear! Good value for money and a pretty girly fun scent!!

Blind bought based on the notes only, and omg! I freaking love this one. It's so fruity, feminine, complex and attractive. Starts off as a strawberry/apple sorbet, blending in with the soft florals, and then gives way to the addicting coconut base... It's not sweet gourmand imo, but it's delicious. Honestly perfect for all-year-round wear, it has become one of my signature scents! It layers beautifully with other fruity perfumes (like Lataffa's Yara Candy). The projection and longevity are on point, and for the price it's an amazing deal. Bottle is kinda basic, but I like it anyways...

I completely agree with you Princess Adora! I got the Mad Potion myself but only because was give me for free...and I find it a complete mess! Lol Sorry I have to disagree with you kon-nos91, I don't like when label a fragrance for a certain age. I am in my latest 30's but I do love and own this perfume. I've received a lot of compliments when I wear it. Perfumes are something too personal, some like sweet, some like fresh and so on...I always love the sweet ones and this one smell so delicate and sweet on me..I don't see any bad thing about it..but again, is a personal choice.

I think this one is a nice edition to have if you are a perfume collector. Next to Britney Spears , Katy Perry has made some pretty good fragrances that anyone of all age groups can enjoy. The opening starts off fruity, almost a bit tropical but then it really mellows down to a soft, fluffy and sweet. I really hate that women have to conform to a certain set of a scent, anything young or sweet is labeled teenage or immature. I think it's nothing close to Meow and I own that one which smells more like candy this is like a ice cream lighter version.

I will start off saying that this doesn't project for a long time, it dies down to a skin scent fairly quick (1-2hours). But I do enjoy the scent. On me, the initial spray smells like, fruity sorbet-y sweetness (fruits being, Strawberry, Coconut and apple) I then smell florals (maybe more Peony) and then the vanilla joins and for a while its just this beautiful almost edible scent and it dies down to a skin scent. The last Skin scent is a nice sweet vanilla musk, maybe with a hint of coconut and strawberry.

This is such a sweet, tasty, flirty scent. It smells just like melted strawberry sorbet. I can smell the grapefruit and apple, but they're not as prominent as the strawberry. The coconut makes the dry down extra tasty and creamy smelling, but it's not very strong or in your face in you aren't a fan of coconut scents. You could wear this out with friends or on a casual date, it's really nice! This could be appropriate for middle or high school students if it's not over-sprayed, too.

I love this perfume. While I don't agree that perfumes have a specific age, this one I think is something that people might call stereotypically young. It is gorgeous, juicy and sweet, but while it's not particularly complicated, it's not too boring. It's a super happy scent and I love it! Was nearly put off by the comments, so I'm glad I ignored them! So many compliments on this one, especially from men.

When I wear this perfume, I've received a lot of compliments, people don't need to be next to me for noticing my fragrance which means have a great silage and I believe impregnates the room. Lasts all-day, the scent stays on my clothes... But I've notice ( correct if I'm wrong) some people here don't have the same experience I have when I wear this fragrance. At least not here on this page.

The easiest reach ever. This is a good perfume for me when I don't necessarily want to offend people, but it's still somewhat interesting. It reminds me of strawberry yogurt. A good starter fragrance if you want to look into lactonic fragrances without straight up going for those more whack niche ones. Perfect for a chat about the weather over strawberry milkshakes and Ella Fiztgerald.

You shouldn't try a perfume only spraying on a piece of paper but instead on your skin as will react with your body natural chemicals so then you will have a different fragrance. Remember as well that everyone is different so the same perfume can smell different in another person. This one is my favourite by the way...and I still can smell on my clothes days after I use it!

Ahh, so juicy and sweet with soft base, like a lovely symphony in my nose! Youthful, summery and somehow romantic fragrance, which is pretty easy to use because it is not offensive. Strawberry and coconut are the strongest notes for me. And I also find some note which is like a cherry blossom or something similar to that. Definitely goes to my "wish list"! <3

Strawberry and coconut ice cream. That is the impression I got from this fragrance. I surprised is not classified as a gourmand ( as for me this is totally a gourmand). Edit: Oh!! I am crazy or they changed the classification of this fragrance for a gourmand one? I think I remembered that was not classified as gourmand before. Never mind. Lol hahaha

What a cute perfume! Cute in both bottle and smell. It's a lovely strawberry milk scent but rather than cozy & overly sugary, i think the sorbet, grapefruit and apple make it more fresh than you'd expect. I've had Meow for a while as my easy go-to at home, but i might replace it with Mad Love when I've finished the bottle.

Sorry, I did left quite a lot of reviews here but I would like to emphasise how happy I am to find this one and for that reason I bought again ( this time a box set, EDP, shower gel & body cream). I will try layer with my Choco Musk ( by Al Rehab) next time as I think would make even more Gourmand. Lol

I have already reviewed this, but I want to state that out of my 70+ collection, this is what gets me compliments. I love that it is still available and is affordable. Beautiful creamy scent! This smells just strawberry ice cream and apple pie! The apple and strawberry are the ones that I get the very most, but the florals come in later to give it a softness, that sorbet note is present throughout. This is definitely a summer days fragrance, I can see myself wearing this on the beach!

Sweet juice it is and I absolutey adore this sweet potion as I get many compliments wearing it. Was very happy that this one didn't have much in common with her previous fragrance Mad Potion. Longevity is not the best but I don't mind reapplying it. Great sweet candy scent for gourmand lovers.

A suprisingly stunning fragrance. It smells like coconut and tart. Very good longevity. Probably the best Katy Perry perfume because of that "tart" smell. The tart gives it a very unique smel. And this is SO MUCH BETTER than Mad Potion I consider this to be a more mature "Meow"

It smells like a mix of melted sorbet and a big bowl of sugar on my skin. I can't sence that much coconut in this sugarbomb. I feel like I have bathed in candy when using this. Somedays I crave it and other days it is just a no. Still enjoying it.

absolutely one of my favorite perfumes I've ever smelled, I don't really like "floral" scents at all, but this doesn't smell floral to me at all, it reminds me of a bubblegum machine and maybe cupcakes in its own way... I love this soooo much.

I love this one, it does have a synthetic vibe, strawberry and vanillin marshmallow ! Well to me, this scent is so warm, cosy and yes, yummy indeed. I’m 61, a bit too old to wear it for work, at home I go crazy on it !

In my opinion, this one reminds me so much Rocker Femme Fantasy ( which by the way I only bought recently) I meant...Rocker Femme is very similar to Mad Love.I can sense a creaminess coconuty in both of them actually.

This is a coconut and sugar mixture. Gives off hawaiian getaway or on a cruise at the tropics. Super sweet and girly, so if that’s your thing then pick up a bottle for great value. I like it especially for hot days

At first I thought it was ok, but too sweet for me. Now, two days later, I'm literally in love. So pretty and girly. Yes, you have to respray it after 2-3 hours, but I don't mind at all. Great blind buy for me.

STUNNING fragrance. Beautiful strawberry wrapped in something that smells like whipped cream. Longevity is amazing and I have gotten tons of compliments. Bottle is beautiful and heavy, will repurchase!

Crazy_chic88 have you tried rub Vaseline onto your skin before you spray the perfume on you? That normally helps. Don't forget to spray on your pulse points ( I hope I spelled correctly). Hopes helps!

Smells a lot like Britney Spears Fantasy on me, but with a strong strawberry candy note and much better projection. I really like it and it layers easily with other fruity-sugary-candy scents.
