Royal Revolution

This is my fifth Katy Perry perfume and I'm so glad to find another love after meow and purr(killer queen is a like,mad potion is a meh) I never thought it would smell like this by looking at it's notes.these notes make me think of a masculine leathery scent with sour fruity notes but this is totally feminine and sweet and I don't get any leather.I don't find this scent royal or revolutionary either but it smells great on me I don't have original viva la juicy so I can't compare them.I used to have viva la juicy noir and I can see a similar gene but I prefer royal revolution.I think I mainly smell vanilla orchid,blacktorn is definitely there but this isn't an overly fruity scent and I'm very thankful for it.if I want to explain this scent to someone I'd say deliciously sweet floral-vanilla with a touch of dark-berryish fruits and a soft touch of powder.I wish I could smell the dark leathery thing other fragranticans are talking about it but it doesn't show up on my skin.still it smells lovely as it is and one of the rare perfumes which I'm sure that I'm going to go through it fast as I'm almost always in the mood of such a yummy scent and it's wearable year round.it also seems to be a crowd pleaser.it's described as sexy,delicious and pleasant by my friends and family members when I asked for their idea Longevity is about 4hours on my skin.sillage is very satisfying in first hour and that it what really matters by me:to be able to smell and enjoy a perfume without wrist-sniffing and to be noticed by people without chocking them.royal revolution fits in this expectation so I don't mind reapplying it every three or four hours.I bought a 3.4oz tester bottle of it for 22$ and I believe it worthes it.unfortunately it doesn't come with it's beautiful crown shaped cap,still it looks great laying beside killer queen on my vanity.now I'd really like to try "oh so sheer" I wish Katy Perry comes up with other perfumes with diamond shaped bottles,for example a green one and a yellow one(with green or yellow bottles,not colored liquid) they would look amazing in any collection. I'd also love to see other kittens and I wish all her new perfumes smell as great as this one,meow and purr By the way,it's drydown is about 70% similar to xerjoff granballo,which costs 7 to 10 times more. Edit: seems like I was nose blinded after a while.now I can easily smell it even after 8 hours! I love this berry-vanilla-floral smoothness

Creamy, Dry, Warm, Powdery, Sueded loveliness. Smells like apricot skin by firelight. Mmmmmm... goood... The leather in this is the dark, buttery sort that I recognize from Shalimar... more like suede, really. The blackthorn & pomegranate, to me, softened by the musk and orchid, read as apricot... more specifically, apricot skin... again with the buttery, suede-like feel. I don't get dark, purple-red-blue fruitiness in this at all. This fragrance is in no way "juicy", to my nose... it's not even sweet, really. This is one of two celeb perfumes (Beyonces's Heat being the other) that surprise me with spot-on use of musk. I am a musk snob- it has to be just right... warm, round, smooth skin musk... and RR has it down pat. Speaking of celeb frags... RR is what I'd hoped Rihanna's Rogue would smell like. Throw the soft, fluffy velveteen deliciousness of orchid in anything and you've got me. To me, Killer Queen is sexy like a black push-up bra is sexy... Royal Revolution is sexy like a white cotton cami is sexy. Speaking of boobs... this lasts a whole two hours on my wrist, but a solid eight when sprayed liberally into the cleavage. ;) Sillage is just what I'd want in such an intimate scent. It really would wear the name "Nude" or "Naked" fittingly, more so than most perfumes that do call themselves such. EDIT: I wore this at work today, and was entranced all day long. It persistently reminded me of *something*, until I decided what that *something* was... of all things, Balmain's Ambre Gris? Definitely creamy and animalic like Ambre Gris, but replacing the herbal aspect of AG with the aforementioned apricot skin feel, so slightly more feminine, In fact, it is so convincing, to me, that I'm going to slap it up there in the "reminds me of" section... and see how long it takes to be ousted. ;)

This is the cheaper version of Narciso Rodriguez, Narciso. The smooth floral creaminess just reminds me of Easter Holidays when I was a child. During this two week school break I used to spend with my Grandparents. Being the wonderful and awesome grandparents they were they used to get a drink delivered to them called Cream Soda ... the best soda there is! This scent reminds me of those innocent childhood days of being able to wake up at 8am and be dressed by 8.05 am, rushing out and wanting to walk uphill to the nearest sweet shop that sold old fashioned candy delights. My mother thought I was wearing Outspoken by Fergie because of the Leather note. Leather seems to really go with my chemistry. The vanilla Orchid is really prominent and I love the fact that the Sandalwood is a middle note lending the softness to the fragrance straight away ... I have been wearing this for nearly 2 hours and can smell it on my wrists. I may re apply later before evening tv sets in. I call this a nostalgic scent and I love it just for the memories it conjures up. I love this so much that I will definitely purchase the 100ml when the 30ml is near her end.

This perfume could potentially be the perfect winter scent. Unfortunately, the lasting power is really weak. Applying an average amount and combining it with lotion makes it last less than 2 hours. Applying a lot or taking a travel size bottle is very necessary. I don't think there are any standards for what's labeled an eau de parfum anymore. I own some eau de toilettes that last longer than this (the entire Passport collection by Paris Hilton, for example). However, I do love the scent. The blackthorn makes it unique and I love to wear it when I go out at night in the winter. I have the gift set with the travel bottle and I recommend it so you can reapply it when necessary. I got it at Macy's. I actually can't believe how many people voted for this as a summer scent. I would never wear this in the summer. For me, this is strictly a winter scent. Sillage is moderate and the bottle is perfect. I give the bottle bonus points for being blue instead of clear with blue liquid. Oh So Sheer is a clear bottle with purple liquid and that one loses points for me.

This is the first perfume is a long time to stop me in my tracks! I've been on a perfume break for 8 months and haven't purchased any in that time. I had my favourites and I was content to stick with my collection. However, being the human Bower bird I am, I was drawn to the stunning blue bottle at the shops. I was curious so sprayed a tester card and was gobsmacked! It was just beautiful and undoubtedly love at first sniff! I mainly get cool blueberries at first, never jammy or cloying. This is oh so refreshing! Followed by a mingling of delicious vanilla and leather. Very sexy if I must say! I've always loved leather notes but have previously found the perfumes too masculine on me...until this! This perfume sings to me and I find it addictive. It is mood lifting and I find myself compulsively smelling my wrist when I am wearing this. It may be my particular body chemistry that works so well with this but whatever it is, I am spellbound. My words cannot do this wonderful perfume justice so please try this for yourself!
