Royal Revolution

This is my fifth Katy Perry perfume and I'm so glad to find another love after meow and purr(killer queen is a like,mad potion is a meh) I never thought it would smell like this by looking at it's notes.these notes make me think of a masculine leathery scent with sour fruity notes but this is totally feminine and sweet and I don't get any leather.I don't find this scent royal or revolutionary either but it smells great on me I don't have original viva la juicy so I can't compare them.I used to have viva la juicy noir and I can see a similar gene but I prefer royal revolution.I think I mainly smell vanilla orchid,blacktorn is definitely there but this isn't an overly fruity scent and I'm very thankful for it.if I want to explain this scent to someone I'd say deliciously sweet floral-vanilla with a touch of dark-berryish fruits and a soft touch of powder.I wish I could smell the dark leathery thing other fragranticans are talking about it but it doesn't show up on my skin.still it smells lovely as it is and one of the rare perfumes which I'm sure that I'm going to go through it fast as I'm almost always in the mood of such a yummy scent and it's wearable year round.it also seems to be a crowd pleaser.it's described as sexy,delicious and pleasant by my friends and family members when I asked for their idea Longevity is about 4hours on my skin.sillage is very satisfying in first hour and that it what really matters by me:to be able to smell and enjoy a perfume without wrist-sniffing and to be noticed by people without chocking them.royal revolution fits in this expectation so I don't mind reapplying it every three or four hours.I bought a 3.4oz tester bottle of it for 22$ and I believe it worthes it.unfortunately it doesn't come with it's beautiful crown shaped cap,still it looks great laying beside killer queen on my vanity.now I'd really like to try "oh so sheer" I wish Katy Perry comes up with other perfumes with diamond shaped bottles,for example a green one and a yellow one(with green or yellow bottles,not colored liquid) they would look amazing in any collection. I'd also love to see other kittens and I wish all her new perfumes smell as great as this one,meow and purr By the way,it's drydown is about 70% similar to xerjoff granballo,which costs 7 to 10 times more. Edit: seems like I was nose blinded after a while.now I can easily smell it even after 8 hours! I love this berry-vanilla-floral smoothness

Creamy, Dry, Warm, Powdery, Sueded loveliness. Smells like apricot skin by firelight. Mmmmmm... goood... The leather in this is the dark, buttery sort that I recognize from Shalimar... more like suede, really. The blackthorn & pomegranate, to me, softened by the musk and orchid, read as apricot... more specifically, apricot skin... again with the buttery, suede-like feel. I don't get dark, purple-red-blue fruitiness in this at all. This fragrance is in no way "juicy", to my nose... it's not even sweet, really. This is one of two celeb perfumes (Beyonces's Heat being the other) that surprise me with spot-on use of musk. I am a musk snob- it has to be just right... warm, round, smooth skin musk... and RR has it down pat. Speaking of celeb frags... RR is what I'd hoped Rihanna's Rogue would smell like. Throw the soft, fluffy velveteen deliciousness of orchid in anything and you've got me. To me, Killer Queen is sexy like a black push-up bra is sexy... Royal Revolution is sexy like a white cotton cami is sexy. Speaking of boobs... this lasts a whole two hours on my wrist, but a solid eight when sprayed liberally into the cleavage. ;) Sillage is just what I'd want in such an intimate scent. It really would wear the name "Nude" or "Naked" fittingly, more so than most perfumes that do call themselves such. EDIT: I wore this at work today, and was entranced all day long. It persistently reminded me of *something*, until I decided what that *something* was... of all things, Balmain's Ambre Gris? Definitely creamy and animalic like Ambre Gris, but replacing the herbal aspect of AG with the aforementioned apricot skin feel, so slightly more feminine, In fact, it is so convincing, to me, that I'm going to slap it up there in the "reminds me of" section... and see how long it takes to be ousted. ;)

This is the cheaper version of Narciso Rodriguez, Narciso. The smooth floral creaminess just reminds me of Easter Holidays when I was a child. During this two week school break I used to spend with my Grandparents. Being the wonderful and awesome grandparents they were they used to get a drink delivered to them called Cream Soda ... the best soda there is! This scent reminds me of those innocent childhood days of being able to wake up at 8am and be dressed by 8.05 am, rushing out and wanting to walk uphill to the nearest sweet shop that sold old fashioned candy delights. My mother thought I was wearing Outspoken by Fergie because of the Leather note. Leather seems to really go with my chemistry. The vanilla Orchid is really prominent and I love the fact that the Sandalwood is a middle note lending the softness to the fragrance straight away ... I have been wearing this for nearly 2 hours and can smell it on my wrists. I may re apply later before evening tv sets in. I call this a nostalgic scent and I love it just for the memories it conjures up. I love this so much that I will definitely purchase the 100ml when the 30ml is near her end.

This perfume could potentially be the perfect winter scent. Unfortunately, the lasting power is really weak. Applying an average amount and combining it with lotion makes it last less than 2 hours. Applying a lot or taking a travel size bottle is very necessary. I don't think there are any standards for what's labeled an eau de parfum anymore. I own some eau de toilettes that last longer than this (the entire Passport collection by Paris Hilton, for example). However, I do love the scent. The blackthorn makes it unique and I love to wear it when I go out at night in the winter. I have the gift set with the travel bottle and I recommend it so you can reapply it when necessary. I got it at Macy's. I actually can't believe how many people voted for this as a summer scent. I would never wear this in the summer. For me, this is strictly a winter scent. Sillage is moderate and the bottle is perfect. I give the bottle bonus points for being blue instead of clear with blue liquid. Oh So Sheer is a clear bottle with purple liquid and that one loses points for me.

This is the first perfume is a long time to stop me in my tracks! I've been on a perfume break for 8 months and haven't purchased any in that time. I had my favourites and I was content to stick with my collection. However, being the human Bower bird I am, I was drawn to the stunning blue bottle at the shops. I was curious so sprayed a tester card and was gobsmacked! It was just beautiful and undoubtedly love at first sniff! I mainly get cool blueberries at first, never jammy or cloying. This is oh so refreshing! Followed by a mingling of delicious vanilla and leather. Very sexy if I must say! I've always loved leather notes but have previously found the perfumes too masculine on me...until this! This perfume sings to me and I find it addictive. It is mood lifting and I find myself compulsively smelling my wrist when I am wearing this. It may be my particular body chemistry that works so well with this but whatever it is, I am spellbound. My words cannot do this wonderful perfume justice so please try this for yourself!

Oh my heaven, I am in love! Blackthorn and pomegranate take the front seat with an intoxicating, delicious opening. As it dries down, leather and musk shine beautifully, keeping the sexy scent intact and interesting. Vanilla orchid smells sweet, but only subtly so to add some balance to the mixture. This is the best blind buy I've ever purchased, and will definately purchase another bottle when this runs out. I think I even like it better than Killer Queen! I'm seriously tempted just to bathe in this! My only complaint is that the sillage and longevity are weak when sprayed on my skin; it only radiates close to my body, and doesn't hang on for more than an hour. Therefore, I've been spraying on my clothes to get better longevity (doesn't help much with the sillage, but I'm not as much bothered by that). I don't smell any similarity to Viva la Juicy. Overall, I will be recommending this to anyone and everyone who enjoys fruity florals. So, so impressed with this one!

This is hands down my favorite perfume!Or one of them,I don't know if it's the leather,musk,vanilla orchid,red pomegranate, that makes this truly unique,I do think it's ancient it's so pretty,maybe it can be recreated, so that there is no spells,lol,and lasts like even 4hours,I buy frags that last 8hours usually,but this doesn't even last 30,at the most that's all I get,on clothing strangely ....8hours,but you have to smell up close,its there,royal revolution,killer Queen&meow,are my face by k.p.I may repurchaseas a gift set,to see if lotion would help,I want to make,perfume oil online to try to get this smell,a few different notes,so I'm hoping it smells like this,even if it resembles it ID be happy,maybe a local perfume&oil shop,I need lasting power,too bad,if it lasted longer ID buy a jug of this!!!The bottle alone though is worth buying,in my favorite color,to.

Colour me surprised, this is a real beauty. Considering it’s a flanker of Katy Perry Killer Queen I was expecting something similar to that, or at least in the same kind of family, this is actually better, in my opinion. Very floral, quite sweet, extremely pretty. It has a little bit of a synthetic note, but nothing overly synthetic. I actually think it’s a really nice scent, it smells clean and delicious. For a cheapie celeb fragrance I think it does a great job, the scent is lovely and the staying power and projection is really rather good. My boss, and older lady who herself smells gorgeous every day, who wears high end frags, even commented on how nice it was and was very surprised when I told her it was Katy Perry. A winner if you ask me, better than it’s original Killer Queen. Absolutely stunning bottle too.

Katy perry-Royal revolution this is her best parfum,I do know it's very unique to me it's not just sweet,it has a vintage feel not just because the bottle is beyond gorgeous,but it's sexy,seductive like I only want to wear around my husband,yet it's gentle,fenimine,I smell blueberries,vanilla&dark exotic silk,antique secret parfum hidden&recently discovered,so so so top of the line,it's got a weird smell though on the dry down,weird at the end like it changes,but the downfall that made me not repurchase this,is it has no staying power you have to put your nose to the skin just to smell it&after like 20minutes the smell is gone! I wish this could be made over,with staying power&everyone who likes this can write her to remake with staying power,because it's so pretty&perfect! So for scent sake I love

Beautiful perfume; just perfect for me, day, night, any weather. It's scrumptious and delicious, comforting and edgy at the same time. I feel very soothed, and also spiked up a bit; it's sweet and sharp together, which I love - very satisfying. I think it's a totally stunning perfume. I am so amazed at the quality of Katy's perfumes, and I'm going to try to get every one - at least of what I can. I only have Meow (which is one of my favourites! gorgeous!), and Purr (which I love too), so far. I think she's brilliant. (I don't know her as a celebrity at all; I just mean the perfumes). Perfect: 10/10 for everything.

ROYAL REVOLUTION parfum is one of Katy Perry's best fragrance, it's actually pretty rare for me to find it here in the Philippines but luckily I was able to have my hands on it this year, its scent is really unique and it's more musculine compared to Killer Queen so it's obviously unisex scented type of fragrance and I love the combination of the scent of floral, woody and musky and also I was impressed with its longevity and silage, I usually spray 3-4 times only and its scent really stays on my clothes 24 hours, so this fragrance is really worth it and I would definitely buy this again when it runs out. 💙🛡️

This is my favorite Katy Perry scent!! I like sweet smelling scents and Royal Revolution & Meow are my top 2 of her collection. Smells like Viva La Juicy mixed with One Direction Our Moment mixed together. I did NOT like Killer Queen or Oh So Sheer because, to me I could smell the patchouli in them and dislike that perfume note! I was almost not going to give this perfume a try because, I didn't like the other 2 but so glad I tried it! It's now one of my favorite perfumes!! The only negative thing I can say, about this perfume is that the lasting power is not very good & I have to constantly reapply it!

A leathery and sweet vanilla with the blast of pomegrenate! I love this scent.. What i dont like in this one is the weakest longevity.. The silage is pretty nice. I always ask my sister or hubby 6 feet away from me after spraying on my body. If they can smell it or not..so they can.. And im ok with tht.. I love the packaging and the bottle.. The bottle is really stunning.. A blue diamond with a dark silver cap. The box is different than the first 2 flankers of KQ. I bought 100ml for $60 usd. I wish its more cheaper than that.. I wish KP will release another flacon of KQ. love love love

UPDATE: I notice I have to keep applying this constantly. But maybe this is one of those perfumes that other people can smell on you but u can't because of the olfactory science thing about your senses cancelling out the smell to yourself but others can still smell it. But at $12 for a 3.4 oz tester who cares about longevity! Buy a backup bottle though! Also is it me or does this perform horribly in summertime? Not that's it's horrible in hot weather but the sun literally "melts and evaporates the fruity/floral vanilla notes" and it becomes a soft spicy sage flat smell?

''Royal Revolution'' is a gorgeous, classy and elegant perfume. I LOVE this one and fortunatelly it doesnt smell AT ALL like ''Killer Queen''. If you didn't like ''Killer Queen'' don't be scared of trying this one out. It smells completely different. It is a light and beautiful beauty. I can smell some sweetness, the leather note, vanilla orchid and the musk. Also it smells very similar to Nicki Minaj ''Pink Friday'' on the initial spray of ''Pink Friday''. A safe blind buy for someone that loves classy, elegant, light and UNIQUE smells. Longevity is great!

I am just in love with this beautiful blue diamond. The bottle is exquisit, the notes blend so well, creating a unique and irresistable scent. I have never found anything that smells too similar to Royal Revolution, it truly is a unique creation. It makes me feel fresh, care-free, youthful and happy, reminds me of a happy childhood in the suburbs in the 00s. The scent is very unique, well balanced freshness and sweetness. I will purchase as many bottles as I can get my hands on, since I wouldn't mind having a lifelong stock of this amazing scent.

Boy this is terrific this one!! Really gorgeous! It's most unusual, and I feel so alive, refreshed and comfortable in it. I have a lot of trouble with my chest, having chronic bronchitis and other weaknesses, and quite a few perfumes affect it, but this one doesn't!! I can spray as much as I like, not having to worry! It's beautiful! I love the 'mystical' blackthorn note, which does seem very excitingly prominent to me! All in all, longevity and sillage included: a superb perfume!! Very soft and creamy and enjoyable.

I really love the initial first spray or two of this. Unfortunately, it doesn't stick around for long, which is forgivable because it is very affordable. Splashing it around like Niagara Falls won't cost you a fortune. After a while it does dry down to a soft pretty essence of musk entwined with vanilla, that sticks intimately on the skin. Main reason I bought this was for the bottle. I absolutely love it. My favourite colour of blue.......like a London blue topaz.

@Miriana93 yess as u said there is a "tree sap" note in the dry down that only appears in hot weather that make me dislike this in summer. Has anyone noticed it yet? Then again its a womans perfume and im a man so maybe it aint suppose to go with my chem. It smells so flat. But in winter it is so beautiful. Im trying to decide if i want this or Paris Hilton Siren as they are similar but i just crave the berries in royal revolution

I really like this scent; in fact, I'm seriously considering making it my signature. My nose isn't sharp enough yet to be able to exactly describe what I like about this, but I can say that it's fruity (but not syrupy), refreshing, and clean, and I feel like I can wear it anywhere and it won't be too casual or too formal. I would recommend this to girls of all ages; it doesn't feel too juvenile or too mature for anyone.

FOOTNOTE: Everyone is right on with the Viva la juicy comparisons & @kismetdaisy yes it's better than the fake caramel note in Viva la juicy. I think the leather/blackthorn???? Notes (whatever that is) is more pronounced and shows itself in the summer. In winter it's blueberries with a frozen vanilla soft serve for the drydown. Ok I'm shutting up now as I have given this fragrance too much of my energy lol

To me this smells similar to killer queen, beautiful and classy. This version to me is fruitier and killer queen is creamier, but both are very beautiful and both could be mistaken for viva la juicy flankers. Sweetness and juicy berries If I had to pick one I would choose killer queen as I prefer the creamier note and I feel it lasts slightly longer. But both of them are lovely fragrances.

Everything miss Katy makes smells so good....just never ever last even 20-30 mins or I'd be an everyday wearer of her perfume!!!! I love killer queens scent from this line of hers more,this smells like VLJ..but better without that nasty note juicy has,I like this its different& energized, yet slightly barely sweet& dry,just absolutely LOVE the bottles& so does my daughter♡

soft, clean floral scent, sits close to the skin but it is extremely unique - no note overpowers the other, well blended it smells fruity (pomegranate, blacktorn) but its the crispness from the fruit rather than sweetness. from florals i guess its the freesia and imaginary orchid scent i dont find it anywhere now so thats sad because its extremely underrated celeb perfume

I bought the 1oz gift set on after Christmas discount for 10$ Omg this smells good! I love this stuff. It's like blueberry cotton candy maybe a touch clear cream soda!! I don't know what I was thinking when I first tested it and reviewed but I need my butt whooped for giving a bad review.review deleted! Lol Oh i was wrong this is good!

I found 3 bottles for $45 and there all 100mls and it smells so beautiful and it smells so pretty and it's discontinued but that's fine I have 3 100mls I can wear I love katy perry to her perfumes smell so nice I was so lucky I found 3 bottles of katy perry killer queen royal revolution 100mls for a cheap price just under $50

This beautiful scent deserves more praise! It is so unique because it is fruity/floral, but the drydown is so unique. It smells like a very expensive hotel! I just bought another bottle and it is fresh, indicating that the fragrance is still in production. Where have ya'll seen this is discontinued? I can still get it.

It takes a while for this to settle on my skin, first it smells like shampoo, but once it dries down, it smells almost exactly like Tease Noir from Victoria's Secret. I like this quite a lot, but it is not a long-lasting scent. On my skin, it last 3-5 hours but in the end, it is very faint

Just got this the other day and and I really like this,it's got this bubblegum fruitiness to it but also its got this unusual kick to it,maybe it's the leather part but I find this stuff wonderful,this is one of my favourites from Katy Perry along with the original killer queen and meow.

I love this perfume. It has definitely been growing on me for the past few months. On the dry down I can only smell the vanilla orchid and musk. It is a very pure vanilla smell on me but on my friends it leans more floral. I love this but be warned the projection is not good.

I love this one&the gothic steampunk mysterious bottle~the scent is very smooth fresh &different had 4 -FB of this however its a tease&lasts less than a bodyspray why does she do this with her perfumes¿ crazy a few minutes of the most beautiful scent then rip teaser.

I love this, it was a blind buy. It’s very weak and have to reapply during the day. But I would repurchase. It was only 20 dollars and has a sweet scent on my skin. It’s more like a body spray. The bottle is pretty cool.

This is a gorgeous sweet, fresh spicy scent. For some weird reason, I smelt mango when I first sprayed this. It has a good lasting power and sillage. Definitely worth buying! :D

Smells like juicy pomogrante and coconut milk on the initial spray but later dries down to a Woody vanilla orchid. Definitely a dupe for All saints Flora Mortis.

A likable version of Juicy Couture! I'm diggin this one. mmhmm. I pretty much detest juicy couture.. But I like this, despite their similarities in smell. I think the blackthorn/leather takes place of JC supposed "caramel." I use quotes cause ...well, I don't get any caramel in JC. Just a very sour, bad imitation of caramel, strong white florals and deep musk. Lol. Royal revolution is just better smelling. Not sure I can say blackthorn or leather is the reason for this smelling good.. Don't know what blackthorn smells like? But, something's doing the trick. I'd say this is more musky sweet than fruity/floral. All in all, I can't tell the notes apart in this..it's the same scent from first stage to dry down. But.. I can tell you about the horrible longevity/silage. I'm pretty sure killer queen and things like Meow, are pretty good with projection and length. But this is more along the lines of her mad potion in terms of picking a punch. It's extremely light. Kinda ruins if for me, as I love strong, loud perfumes . I think this is best suited for teens. I'm never one to put an age label on perfumes, but this one is a little too simple. Reminiscent of the simpler, carefree days of teenage life. Not enough depth, but just enough flirty and fun in the hands of a young girl. I wear it, don't get me wrong. But the scent disappears in a hot minute, so reapplying is constant lol. Oh well. There's nothing unique here. But if you wanted to like viva la juicy and found the same strangeness I did with it, this is a good choice to try

I got this one as a Christmas present and I must say, after reading the notes, I was kind of disappointed: I was expecting something different; what I get is a pleasant scent that smells EXACTLY like Juicy Couture's "Viva La Juicy". I have been looking at the notes of both perfumes and I can't, for the life of me, find out what is it that makes these two fragances smell exactly the same to me, maybe it has to do with my skin chemistry, I don't know, but I feel this is something I have smelled before. Even though there's no caramel in this, I get a creamy feeling, maybe from the orchid, combined with a touch of citrus (orange, to be precise). I guess it comes from the orange blossom, but it doesn't smell floral to me, it smells like a creamy-fruity perfume. No pomegranate, no blackthorn and certainly no flowers like jasmine here. What I get is a pretty linear version of "Viva La Juicy". I was also really shocked to see there's leather in this one, since it's usually a strong note in perfumes and I can't perceive it at all. It lasts for a pretty long time and projection is OK. Overall, it's a pleasant scent, but nothing original (unless you're looking for a cheap version of "Viva La Juicy"). I still prefer "Oh So Sheer" and "Meow" over this.

I really like this one but it is very weak. For the first few minutes all I smell is bubble gum which isn't a listed scent note so this is a great example of the scent notes sometimes being kind of arbitrary for me. Like just because it has certain notes I think I'll like, it doesn't mean I actually will and vise versa. After the initial nice bubble gum smell wears off, it smells very similar to Viva la Juicy. A little more soft vanilla/desserty. I really like it but I just sprayed it maybe 30min ago and it is already verrrrry faint. I will use this for sure on days maybe when I want a tiny nice smell but know I don't want to be THE strong perfume lady. Very subtle. For days when I only want the person sniffing my arm to know I'm wearing any perfume. Keep it for my intimate arm and shirt sniffers. I will use my bottle until it's empty and then probably not buy anymore but keep the bottle for ~ d e c o r ~

i purchased this for a birthday gift for a friend ( who loved it so,win) I was tempted to also get one for myself but held back on the thought that it would be another impulse frag buy that would captivate me for qall of a week then sit in my cupboard doing nothing once i lose interest. Its fresh and sweet, has a nice clean citrus note to it stopping it from going sugar overload. The blackthorn is, im guessing, what gives it a..cool smell if u like, the bottle colour is fitting as it makes me picture snow. I imagine a woman in the snow wearing a big black fur overcoat with red lipstick and leather gloved. Elegant and glamorous, still with the ability to take u down in a second. I cant speak for longevity as i smelled it on a test strip, but the friend i gave it to put it on and it suited her well, all the notes melted together and it was lovely. If i see it in a store for a good price ill consider buying

I have no idea why, but when I smell this I almost get a vanilla scent which at first put me off this perfume. I gave this another go lately as it is now summer and the scent has completely changed on my skin. It became sweet and floral and I can actually smell the leather. I do think this is a unique scent and for a celebrity perfume, it performs so well and did so much more than I had anticipated. I am a Katy Perry fan, which made me want to buy this more than the scent it self but I am glad I got this and I think it is so perfect for the warm weather. It lasts a long time and projects quite well but do keep in mind that this is relatively strong so don't overdo it because it can overpower the sweetness and become very musky. Love it and think that it has a beautiful design with a nice fragrance at a decent price point:) Overall: 8/10

So i finally caved in and bought this, no regrets lol Update: I wore this last night, sprayed it ( admittedly quite heavily) at about 6.30pm and at 7 this morning she was still going strong, so its a revolution in one thing at least; celeb scents getting stronger staying power lol. It dried down to something like lemonade berries and leather. The vanilla orchid gave it a nice creaminess abd the leather is actually very well done here. Theres a slight citrusy note in there but it could just be the freesia. I am actually pretty happy i gave in and paid the whopping 24 dollars that i did, its so reasonably priced and its incredible, im tied as to which i prefer out of this and killer queen. theres slight similarities which i find odd as the notes are polar opposites. I guess which one i wear depends on my mood at the time.

I was lucky enough to score a slightly-used bottle of this on ebay for a very nice price. It was a total blind buy as I'd never smelled any of Katy Perry's perfumes. Happy to say that I really like it. I can't discern the different notes in this one though. Vanilla is obvious (and delish!), And I notice the spices right away, too. Sometimes spices ruin a frag for me, having either too much, which makes me cough; and sometimes totally undetectable. This gem has just the exact right amount for me. I love that there is orchid in this. That is pretty unusual in my experience, and I love it. I think all of the floral notes- especially the jasmine and freesia - blended with the leather, sandalwood, and musk are at least part of of the reason I feel this is a sexy scent and that makes me come back to this one, time after time.
