Freedom Musk Latte | 41 Eau de Parfum

This just... wow. Thank you, Mona, for working on this one with the nose; wow. I am normally a major “NO THANKS” person when it comes to lavender, but when lavender is done right? OMG—it can be absolute perfection. And this is one of the best lavender layered scents ever. The other notes shine and balance everything so beautifully that it just works. This is a truly hyper-realistic latte fragrance, wrapped in this gorgeous perfumed, slightly soapy vibe. I had MMM Replica’s “Coffee Break,” and while I liked it, the lavender was way too heavy—it overshadowed everything else. Musk Latte is the opposite: the lavender is a supporting character, soft and atmospheric, not loud. Musk Latte is gorgeous from the very first spray all the way to the extremely long dry-down. It has the best longevity of the four, although Musk Santal comes very close. Both linger forever on me—but Musk Latte clings to my skin and clothes longer than any of the others. This is my kind of Kayali moment: that feeling when I sniff a new release and immediately start obsessing. I honestly haven’t done that since Elixir 11, which is my signature Kayali scent. Musk Latte is easily in my top 10 Kayali fragrances, and I am so, so, so, so hoping for a larger bottle to become a future release! On my skin, this is pure perfection. I love smelling it, I love wearing it, and I will enjoy reaching for this every chance I get. 10 out of 10.

the first time i applied it i was trying to figure out what it reminded me of, and i realised it smells like a softer and muskier version of coffee break by replica. i think if you love coffee break then getting this one is kind of redundant, but if you like the dna of coffee break but want something a bit softer then you might love this. i fall into the latter so will be getting a full sized bottle, but you really don’t need both

Love at first sniff. The dry down is my favourite part. It has a soft creamy feel to it that smells like a bedtime luxury lotion that smells clean and milky. As it dries down it becomes warm and borderline gourmand. Has that warm mess from Ellish by Billie Ellish (gold bottle). They don’t smell the same but that warm cosy buttery smell is giving the same vibe. Using up my travel size but already looking at full bottle purchase

Hello my friends 🧡. This is a deep musky levander chocolate rose mix that with time it settles down on the skin as a very sensual addictive scent that i think is a genius perfume with perfect performance and a story to tell that is very seductive. I like it a lot and it has the dna of a niche perfume. It maybe feels a little bit unisex so you have to test it.

I thought beforehand that this would be my least favorite from the collection but it ended up being my number one by far! This might be the first Kayali for a while that I need a bottle of (or atleast the 10ml they're offering). Woody, slightly chocolate-y and latte-ish but for me there's just enough of everything. Warm and comforting 🥰

My favorite fragrance!! I get nice compliments on it; it smells good from the initial spray through the dry-down. This chocolate and musk base is such a great balance to the latte note. It has this milk scent in it that smells so nice and creamy! Sorry, I'm bad at reviews. I just love this scent :)

Love, love, love. This would be perfect on a man but it's too beautiful to be ONLY for men. At first I do smell pencil shavings, but it dries down to warm, spicy, sweet, coziness. It brings back memories of things that never happened. Don't ask for an explanation on that one.😄

Kayali has impressed me with this Freedom collection so far. This is a spicy, MUSKY take on coffee but somehow it works so well. It smells like an artisanal coffee shop. Whyyyy these are not in full bottles I have no clue because they are really beautifully done.

This is indulging to say the least, and probably my new favorite Kayali. Well-rounded, delicately strong, powdery, sweet and musky; with just a hint of coffee and cocoa to make it gourmand. I can't absolutely wait to get the 50ml!

Definitely my favorite out of this line! It’s very smooth, and you can definitely smell coffee at first spray- although it’s not overpowering. The dry down is GORGEOUS; it’s quite woodsy in a natural way, with a hint of vanilla.

I was expecting something else, I do like this one but it is so similar to coffee break. The difference is the lavender is lighter and it dries down to a soft chocolatey musk - which I do enjoy.

This is so good. I love this lavender and latte vibe. It has good longevity and its comforting for me. Wish it has a little bit more latte.

This is a very nice low key chocolate scent. It’s not overly sweet but very nice!

I’m saddened to say that Freedom Musk Latte is another disappointment for me. Yes, it smells for a few minutes of some faint traces of dark chocolate and latte, but then it’s just another aromatic, warm floral. Lavender, rose, and some woods and not much else! Mainly a soft, warm rose scent, nothing related to coffee or dark chocolate beverage to find here. And so faint! What a let down!! I am starting to think that this collection was made for skin scent lovers and people who barely tolerate perfume, because there’s not much going on with any of them. With the last one tested from the Freedom Musk collection, I can happily say that I don’t need any of these four scents in my personal collection because they’re very generic, poor performing and expensive for what they offer. Nice scents, but for young or new to perfumery people!

I agree this is similar to Coffee Break, especially in the opening. On the drydown it's more woody and spicy, a bit less sweet. I'm glad, because I love Coffee Break and for some reason it's getting harder to buy it in my country, at the moment I can only find the 100 ml, which I don't need a 100 ml of any fragrance at the moment. So I don't know, they might be discontinuing it, either way, I'm glad I found this, even though it's not dupe territory, it's pretty close, and even if it wasn't I would still like this fragrance. This was the last I tried from the Freedom Musk collection and I was pleasantly surprised I liked all of them. I might consider buying the mini set, but if I had to choose one, I would choose Freedom Musk Latte

I got the Freedom Musk sample set, and I put off trying this one because I hated Musk Matcha- the warm milk mixed with nuts gave me a visceral reaction. Since this one has "latte" in its name, I was prepared to scrub it off. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The milk note is not nearly as prominent as in the matcha one and the coffee was soft and light. It's like a super-toned down and softer version of Black Opium- like if they released a flanker called something like "Black Opium Lumiere" as a clean girl skin scent version of the original. As with all of them in this line, I don't really get where the musk is. I would never smell this and think "that's musky." Still, it's not bad, though I wouldn't buy a bottle of it myself.

Quite fond of it, though I wish it lasted longer. Haven’t smelled Coffee Break recently enough to give input on how similar it is. Didn’t get any of the coffee of this one on paper, but it was there on my skin, much to my delight. <3 It didn’t particularly wow me, but I’d definitely like to own a mini of it. Insanely scrumptious on my clothes (mostly chocolate there, but not too sweet). I think I could eat my sweater. Update: Def similar to Coffee Break, but this is way less lavender forward. I’d honestly say I prefer this one purely in terms of the scent; I can’t testify to how they compare longevity-wise.

No where near like coffee break coffee break is smooth and creamy and more coffee forward and takes you in a story of a coffee shop with creaminess and like your sitting next to someone with aftershave and cream In The air and coffee brewing. This is more musky and light and clean smelling and sweet with some chocolate with less coffee. I don’t personally see the comparison and you can own the two and not have one be redundant. I still prefer coffee break for a cozy scent and this one as a more musk scent. Does have good longevity for an Kayali. And is a nice dry down. For a musk vanilla type scent.

This is what I was expecting the Sabrina Carpenter fragrance (in the blue bottle) to smell like! The latte note is really predominant on my skin, but there's also an insence layer too, which im not mad about, i can see how this wouldnt be everyones cup of...Latte lol Its not sickeningly sweet, just a really nice all-around fragrance in my opinion, good for the cooler waether, though might get a bit weird in the summer, ill have to wait and see. Longevity can be hit or miss with Kayali so ill update in a few days. I think id get a full size of this if it was available.

Powdery, musky, aromatic with just a touch of savory from the coffee and a slight sweetness. Not a gourmand, which is a relief( another coffee gourmand would be redundant to my collection, at this point)! Something reminiscent of Victoria’s Secret amber notes is also in this, though I do believe this scent is its own unique dna. This is an autumn musk, for sure. When it dries down the musk really shines, but it’s a warm and soft musk.

I'm kind of surprised that I like this so much because I don't care for Replica Coffee Break. The notes are so similar but I don't think they smell all that similar. This one is softer and sweeter to me. I guess the chocolate in it does it for me. Lasting power is pretty good too, wore it to bed and could still smell it in the morning. I kind of hope she makes a bigger size of it.

Similar but not the same as coffee break by MMM replica. A beautiful latte is right under your nose on first spray, then starts to bring a cardamom like note forward. There is none listed but I do smell it. After I get lots of the chocolate musks and barely any rose. Really nice, but not something I’d buy

Perhaps this is a scent memory thing happening in real time but this reminds me of: When I was a kid, my mom would part my hair and grease my scalp. VO5 and Pink Hair Lotion kinda smell. It’s comforting in a way that’s familiar and I like it. The house in Family Matters smells like this.

Oddly, this is probably my favorite out of the Freedom line which I never would have expected. It is a pretty & calming lavender-infused chocolatey latte. It is the darkest of the line but still very natural. The formulation is also very similar to the Velvet Santal which I enjoy.

This is the best of the bunch for me and it’s not... great. I knew I’d at least like it. The latte, chocolate, musk and cinnamon are usually total winners for me. I’m not in any hurry to open my wallet for this, but would gladly receive as a gift.

Very similar to Replica Coffee Break, just a tad bit more masculine with stronger lavender and more potent overall. And since Replica CB is discontinued, this would be a pretty good replacement for someone who misses it.

This is a soft and musky sweetened coffee. Too soft, though. Doesn’t even last an hour on me before it disappears. I like the smell while it’s here, but this is not good perfumery.

Love this! To me this smells pretty much identical to coffee break by Maison Margiela with an added dark chocolatey note. Unfortunately doesn’t last too long on my skin..

Super warm, cozy scent. I don't really get coffee, just a nondescript warm brownness on the dry-down. Lasted ok and projection ok. This would be a good bedtime scent.

The touch of lavender really rounds out this fragrance.

A little too masculine leaning for my taste. However I put it in unisex because I was able to feminize it with Ellis Brooklyn marshmallows & Phlur heavy cream body mists, layered on feminine perfume oils & lotion. However I hate doing that! I like perfumes to be able to preform beautifully alone. I wouldn’t wear it alone, I’ll always layer it. Good thing I got it in the set, otherwise I wouldn’t grab it off the shelves in stores. So I’ll make use of it. If you’re a man & want a simple everyday perfume that doesn’t smell like a heavy masculine perfume than you might like this.

Oh my beloved Kayali.... Grabbed a bottle of this yesterday. Didn’t give it a full wear yet (tested on the back of my hand) but I’ll update as soon as I do. Right off the bat it’s a chocolate, musky, cafe latte. IMO it’s pretty strong! I could sense the floral & fruity notes but barely. Stayed on all night, even after washing my hands. I would get wafts of it and be like “yummm... that smells great! I definitely think this is a unisex fragrance and it’d probably smell great on a guy depending on how his body chemistry reacts with it.

This might be my first bas review ever :( I'm so disappointed about this one from the musk collection. It might be because of the chocolate note mixed with the santal or because of the cypriol. I just think it's too spicy, woody and strong for my liking. Weirdly enough the drydown reminds me of woodchips and it's all I can think about lol.

Last of the freedom set I tried. It just smells sweet to me and that’s all I’m getting, alongside a little bit of musk and caffeine and some hints of the pink pepper note. This did not last at all on me, longevity was the worst out of all of the freedom musk scents.

This leans masculine and is my least favorite of the line. I love lavender but the lavender in this comes off like a fougère to me. I don’t really get any latte sadly.

I don’t know which exactly note it is in the beginning, i think it’s either cinnamon, cypriol or cedar wood but it gives me immediate nausea, i really wonder exactly what it is, cause i don’t hate cinnamon or wood smells for sure. Because of that it just clouds all the other notes, until the dry down all i smell is that screechy note. It is also really masculine one, while the dry-down is nice, i don’t think it’s reasonable to wear it as i smell it mostly for the first 1 hour and it’s suffocating. And where is coffee? Honestly the name latte just doesn’t suit here, i am pretty sure most fans of brand were imagining the latte smell like coffee milky cozy cafe, but this is masculine bright and spicy, and is only softening on dry down. From all of them this one had the most expectations and it just doesn’t meet it, the name should be different for sure. Musk matcha for example is exactly resembling the smell of matcha in coffee shop and the latte couldn’t be more far. I mean the only coffee it can remind is that cheap strong dissolvable coffee in sticks somewhere if you really try to find that note.

A cheap oversweet latte at a gas station agree with below comment but I will add this. The cheap latte has cheap musk and lavender hot chocolate flavoring thrown in the paper to go cup. Gag worthy.

What’s up with this launch? They are mostly copies of other perfumes. This is obviously a copy of Coffee Break and the santal one is a copy of Valaya. So strange

Hmmm...I am not sure how I feel about musk latte. I think it needs to sit for a bit. For me, all I get is lavender lavender and more lavender. For me this reminds me of bug spray. And I hate to describe the scent as that. I don’t like lavender and now I can’t get it out of my scent memory when I spray this. I hope would change and more of the cafe and cinnamon notes surface 48hrs Later: That lavender note has calmed herself right down! Thank god! On the dry down I get the slight whiffs of chocolate. It is much smoother now. I like it! This was the only one I was on the fence about. I think it will get better with time as well. I will get the full size when available 3 weeks Later: I am getting chocolate chocolate now with coffee. It has become much stronger. The lavender continues to fade in the fragrance. Very tiny hints of orange notes I am smelling now. Still no cinnamon. This is evolving nicely. 6 weeks Later: Ever evolving scent. I get citrus cinnamon, and chocolate notes now. I really really like this. It just took some time to grow. Waiting for my full sized bottle 😳 2 months Later: This is a well crafted collection. I was a bit iffy about Musk Latte. It just keeps getting better. I get more cinnamon, chocolate, and I am getting a slight milky latte note. Omg this is so good!!! It does get better and better!

This is my unexpected favourite of the Freedom collection! I don’t actually get a coffee/latte note at all. Just a blend of warm comforting notes I can’t quite discern from one another. Over time the chocolate becomes more pronounced and the dry down is surprisingly sweet and smooth. I think it’s more like what I expected Chocolate Oud would smell like, but given I’m not a huge oud fan I prefer this! 🤎 I used to only wear very unisex fragrances until something happened and i suddenly only like sweet girly scents, but this is pulling me back!! Think this would be an amazing layering scent to give a bit of depth simpler fragrances. I really don’t like that these only come in 10ml because I think the price per ml seems very high and then you start to feel like you don’t want to use it because you’ll quickly run out. Just me? Maybe just psychological, but if it was 50ml I’d probably not think this hard about buying it.

Smells very similar to coffee break my Maison Margiela. Maybe just a tad more lactonic - likely because of the lactonic note. It smells like a cafe latte (more latte than coffee) with light lavender. If you already have Coffee Break, this is a bit redundant. But if you wanted Coffee Break to smell more like a latte, this is a good one to try. Performance on both fragrances is very low. Not longlasting at all. But perfect for settings where you might want to be more mindful of your scent bubble.

A suprisingly really good take on a coffee scent profile that doesn’t smell redundant. A mocha latte with rosy creamer and plenty of musks. You get warm spices with soft citrus, that creamy mocha latte with rosy sweetness, and a base of chocolatey sandalwood, rich musks, and a creamy blend of warm vanilla and tonka bean. I think this does chocolate in subtle way, the coffee is understated, the florals soft, and the musk a big cloud enveloping everything. Really love this one

Spicy lavender coffee musk. This note combination is intriguing but won't be enjoyed by everyone. There is definitely more sandalwood in this one than the musk santal and no latte to my nose. I get a slight nod to something like LeLabo Santal 33 here. This is probably the boldest and most unisex in this collection but like the others lacks any real longevity.

Hear me out. Blue Jeans (Versace) has been my favorite fragrance for more than a decade, and as a women I find it very neutral but sweet. This is like a big brother of Blue Jeans: similar dna, same sweetness but goes a little beet more mature because of the powdery sandalwood present in the base notes. If you like Blue Jeans then for sure you will love this

I get a lot of lavender, some cocoa butter note, a lot of sandalwood and musk. It is a little bit too harsh with the woody and musk notes. The harshness gets a little better in the late drydown. I think the late drydown is much better, it gets softer and the lavender goes away. The harsh note also goes away. It is ok, but not something to write about.

Such a cozy scent! Perfect for these December evenings. This also works so well on my skin! At the shop, I sprayed it on my wrist, so afterwards it got a bit on my sleeve. Today, 3 days later, I put on the same sweater again and it rubbed off the other way around. It's now 12 hours later and I can still (very faintly, but still) smell it on my wrist.
