Oudgasm Vanilla Oud | 36 Eau de Parfum Intense

My Kayali Oud Collection came in. I watched every single YouTube video and NOTHING prepared me for what I actually smelled. I wanted to know if a person wasnt into oud, should we be afraid of the collection. These are all classic Kayali DNA fragrances. Those who are typically underwhelmed with Kayali, you'll be underwhelmed again. Kayali lovers will find happiness once again. These are all BEGINNER friendly ouds. The black bottles werent necessary. They are all soft skin scents. These are crowd pleasing and nothing is off putting even if it isnt your cup of tea per se. My favorite is Vanilla Oud. They honestly didn't even need to call it oud bc you cant detect it at all. Its a soft pretty dainty skin scent. Is it groundbreaking? No! Does it need to be? No! McDonald's isnt extraordinary either but they are still #1. I want a full bottle of the Vanilla Oud. Kayali is famous for their vanillas and they nailed it once again right here. Tobacco Oud: This is my 2nd favorite and I also want a full bottle of it. It sort of reminds me of a baby Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. Although this one has supposedly the most intensity of oud, it's still a very elementary level of oud and very safe to move product for the masses. The opening isn't that great but the mid is addictive and the drydown after 2-3 hours is a baby candy sweet vanilla with lace and glitter femininity. Cafe Oud: Im a coffee fragrance lover. I own Delox from Tiziana Terenzi. I love the coffee in Bond No 9 New York Nights & New Haarlem. I also love the coffee in Followed by Kerosene. Cafe Oud unfortunately missed the mark. It smelled stale on me. Not an old stale smell but something that just recently went stale. Rose Oud: Im not typically into rose so to no surprise this didnt work for me either. I would imagine rose ppl would appreciate this one. I do like the rose in the new Carmina by CREED interestingly enough. Kayali gets both a lot of love and hate. (That's what happens when you're on top!) I am a Kayali fan. Opens with clearly vanilla and a cold, astringent smell of saffron. Some people get something medicinal/dentist gloves from saffron and if that’s you, definitely smell this scent first. It smells more like that when I sniff up close. I don’t get that in the sillage. As it warms on my skin, I get more of a sugared, delicious vanilla and something else. I wouldn’t have been able to identify it without the notes in front of me but it’s praline. The saffron evolves to be more leathery as it goes into the mid. Once this flips the whole scent comes together into something cohesive. It’s like it unlocks the oud and really serves as an enhancer to the woodiness. The oud is light in this one. In the deep dry down, the oakmoss comes out. I love oakmoss. This one is cool, earthy, and gives a vintage touch. The first time I tried this, I was nearly happy dancing at how good of a scent this is! I sprayed this one right out of the package and went on a hike along the river. I kept smelling myself even with all the other smells (of the river, trees, dirt, people, animals). I was loving it! Usually going outside tampers down my fragrance so much that I can’t smell it anymore. So caution there that this scent is powerful! At the same time, it’s so pleasant that I’m not choking myself out. I got the rest of the collection and from my initial sniffs of the others, I’m loving them too. I’ll need to get to wearing those and report back. Off the top of my head, I don’t have anything else in my collection like this. I really disagree with the Eilish comparison I see here. Eilish smelled like artificial-tasting chocolates from childhood that were amazing then but would taste disgusting as an adult. Eilish never came together for me. It was always a sweet chocolatey vanilla with berries on top - a jarring combination that never melded.

Omg I just LOVE this! The longer it sat in my skin, the longer I fell in love. Honestly, I wasn’t going to buy this - it didn’t sound like I would have liked it, let alone love it but I’m glad I do!! In this past few months I’ve bought - Escapade Gourmand (5/10), Bianco Latte (6/10)) I go nose blind to it real quick, Burberry Goddess (7/10) didn’t fall in love bc I have B&BW Cozy Sunday Morning in my collection & to my nose, it smells almost identical so I felt like it wasn’t anything I haven’t already smelled - but I eventually started to enjoy it and I also bought Mahni Cassonade (10/10) I just love it!! I’ve also sampled a handful of vanilla perfumes but nothing but Mahni Cassonade got my love and attention the way Vanilla Oud did. It is loooong lasting on my skin & it just feels so warm and cozy but also sexy and flirty. Yesterday I sampled Nest Lychee Rose on one wrist and I had Vanilla Oud on the other. It is the PERFECT combo! This combo reminds me a little of Lamar Kajal. Mmmm!! I’m glad that Kayali fragrances work on my skin. A lot of people say it doesn’t last long on their skin but my very moisturized skin (stupid dry when not) loves Kayali and it is one of the few fragrance houses that works for me! It is all long lasting and hours later, I can still smell it on my skin.

This is a lovely, powdery vanilla oud fragrance. If you are a beginner to oud I think this one is very comfortable to wear as the oud is very light in it. I definitely agree with the reviews below, this is very similar to Eilish and Lattafa’s Nebras. The only difference is that the vanilla in this is less syrupy and it is more powdery, also there is a touch of oud added. But that’s it! Basically Nebras and Eilish are more gourmand smelling. This is still a gourmandy oud, but it leans powdery. So overall, imagine vanilla topped with some powder and a touch of woodiness. 🍦🪵 Although it is a very lovely fragrance, I think I will use up my small bottle and skip on purchasing the full bottle. In all honestly, I adore Kayali and all their fragrances, but I wouldn’t purchase a full bottle as I already have Nebras and they are very similar in my opinion. And I actually prefer Nebras as I am more of a gourmand girl. I would highly recommend if you love gourmand, powdery, vanilla oud fragrances. Ps. Longevity and sillage is good 🖤

so i just got this and i gotta say, it is not your typical vanilla at all, however it is GOOD! first spray i got a lot of saffron, vanilla and oud, almost like a bitter-sweet combination, in a good way, then it dries down to this sweet leather-y woody vanilla note (i know it doesnt have leather but maybe its the cashemere or something but it really has a hint of leather on my skin. ) It is unexpected and good but there is also a familiarity in it. At first i thought it reminded me of Divine Perversion by Hedonik but then it changed again and it hit me. It smells like a mix between Vanille Supermassive by Les EAUX Primordiales & Lovefest Burning Cherry by Kayali with a touch of Oud and Saffron. On my skin at least of course. But it is good, i reccomend it! Also longevity seems to be longer than usual on kayali perfumes. Cant wait to try the rest!

Creamy musky gourmand oud with an intense vanilla base. This fragrance reminds me of a very classy, sultry, wealthy, fashionable lady. Like samantha from sex and the city. I don't agree with some reviews calling it synthetic, I actually think it's very creamy and well blended. It's kind of an "intense" fragrance on my skin at least, and I wouldn't wear this to work. The longevity and sillage is great, I tried this in Sephora before buying it and I kept smelling my wrist many hours later because it was that good. I haven't found another kayali scent I like nearly as much as this, because most of them seem very old-fashioned. Vanilla Oudgasm is timeless, mature, very gourmand, and very sultry. If I were to say anything it would be that the Oud doesn't show up as much as the name implies, but I don't mind that.

My first from the Oud collection! I am a vanilla girl through and through so this is very much up my alley. I thought it would be much stronger but it's very subtle when it comes to oud. It's there but the main hitter is still vanilla. Kayla knows how to do vanilla fragrances and if I would compare it to their other fragrances - Yum Pistachio is very similar to it. They are both very sweet when they dry down and I would say even that they are basically twins. Saffron is also noticeable and that oak moss for my nose too with a hint of musk. I can see myself wearing this one on colder seasons and mostly in the nighttime, maybe layer it with something lighter during daytime. Very much a unisex fragrance! I intend to buy the Cafe and Rose ones too but as it's nearing summer, I will get them later in the year!

Update: I went from liking to loving it , this is an amazing vanilla scent, BUT still I wish if there is a chance to improve the opening which smells so chemical, while the dry down is everything but it takes time . I blindly bought the miniature size and let me tell you if I tried a sample of it in the store beforehand I wouldn’t give it a second chance because of the opening which doesn’t do any justice to the beautiful slow dry down . In my opinion this is a pure Gourmande. I can’t smell any oud but I think it’s somewhere there playing a deepening darkening role. Does anyone smell bitter sweet marzipan note in this? I am not a gourmands fan but I think this is beautiful and already has enough complexity , it doesn’t need to be layered with another fragrance , like most Kayali’s do.

God this is so delicious and creamy, it's a good introduction to oud if it's not something you're familiar with and you prefer sweet fragrances. The longevity is insane and in the drydown it is so sugary and yet deep at the same time from the woodiness. I usually can't do saffron at all, it often smells metallic and unpleasant on my skin, but here it's just perfect. The pear is prominent, but not as much as the vanilla - the rose adds a little sweetness and more depth but by far the most prominent notes are vanilla and oud. The projection is excellent too! I have the 10ml bottle and will, without a doubt, be upgrading to the 50ml for the coming cooler months. It layers amazingly with Eilish No 1, which is the combo I'm wearing today in England's dreary early-autumn cold damp weather.

This is very sweet but the oud adds enough depth that the sweetness isn't sickening. If you're new to oud, this could be a good intro to ease yourself into it. I dislike oud but I find this one to be ok. All I smell is sugar and oud and maybe a little oak moss. I don't get any vanilla or rose. This is a nighttime scent but I don't think I can pull it off. I imagine a hotter and meaner woman who is very strict wearing this at night. She doesn't care about your opinion and she has great taste and goes to jazz clubs. She comes off kind of mean because she doesn't take shit from anyone, but she's very cool and a genuine girl's girl. The sugar smells sweet and the oud and moss adds a sexy depth. It's a good intro to oud but I don't think this is for everyone.

The AUDACITY, to make such a good dark academia fragrance and gatekeep it behind a hyperglossy marketing aesthetic. That’ll teach me to be a snob. Subtle as a sledgehammer, wildly cozy. Maybe a bit early-2000’s Victoria’s Secret for some, but I have a soft spot for that. Maybe right in between dark academia and Y2K VS actually - do you know those “dark girlhood” type memes? What’s in my handbag: lip gloss, Sylvia Plath, the blood of my enemies, NFR on vinyl, cherry coke, etc. Edit: Turns out I LOVE this. Layering with my current fav Vanagloria and I feel like an avenging goddess. TLDR: Surprisingly dark feminine energy. Gimme.

this is the most complimented perfume in my collection. i find this fragrance incredibly intriguing, especially for a vanilla. it’s complex, but very approachable. the oud and praline work their magic here. it’s sensual on a night out, yet inoffensive enough to wear at the office (personally, i go lighter at work, 1-2 sprays and layer with a modest dose of bare vanilla). i think it’s a sublime entry level oud. i can still smell it 8 hours later, and the dry down isn’t drastically different from the initial spray, just softer - which i appreciate.

This fragrance is STUNNING! When I first tried it, I wasn't sure if I liked it. But honestly, I don't think I even know what I was expecting. I found myself sniffing my arm obsessively all day. I've now gone through several full size bottles and I love it more than ever. It's cozy and warm, a little powdery and has the perfect amount of sweetness. The oud is present, but is subtle enough to work for people that typically don't enjoy oud. This is definitely not a gourmand. Vanilla Oudgasm is a masterpiece. This will be in my collection forever.

Definitely my favourite Kayali I have tried but that is a very short list at the moment. Tempting enough to want to try all the Oudgasm line and anything vanilla they make. Really yummy, faint animalic smell on opening but quickly envelopes you in a warm rich woody vanilla. I cant get enough of woody/vanilla/amber frags so my position writing this review is biased towards it just from the name haha. Its saffron heavy, with a rosey tint. Would buy a small bottle but I do think its slightly overpriced for KAYALI

MY NEW FAVORITE KAYALI! I’m obsessed with this, it’s so hard to wear anything else rn! I’ve gotten so many compliments from my coworkers & friends even a construction worker i walked by yelled “miss you smell so beautiful!” lol. The sillage/projection/longevity is definitely there, it has presence but it’s still such a cozy delicate scent- it’s creamy, woody, powdery, musky, sweet & a little fruity & fresh! i’m definitely going to have to get another full bottle soon.

I am not a huge fan of Kayali. I do love Invite only & MUSK 12. This fragrance is an acquired taste, but so yummy. This fragrance is very sugary sweet on my skin & super long lasting. 8+ hours of GOOD wear. It becomes a skin scent at about the 12th hour for me. It smells like a buttery, brown sugary sweet vanilla cookie with a wonderful dose of oud. Fantastic!

Not your basic Vanilla! Totally unique and addicting. Completely different than Vanilla 28 and Vanilla Royale. Vanilla is Kayali's thing. I purchased the mini sizes of all four from the Oudgasm collection. Out of the four, my favorite is Cafe Oud. I ordered a full size of Cafe Oud soon after testing it out. The entire collection is beautiful! 10/10!

this is one of my favorites of the oudgasm line (this and chocolate oud). It isn't a syrupy sweet vanilla, it's a deep, dark vanilla with a little oud but the oud is not overpowering or strong. it's very wearable to me. It lasts ALL day - 7-8 hours wear for me and I didn't even layer anything under it. I'll be getting a full bottle of this one.

Underrated! It’s sweet and to my nose a well balanced mix between vanilla, fresh pear, musks & a very subtle rose. It is DENSE too, almost lotion-like. After wearing it for a couple hours it turns into a beautiful, soft cashmere-like musk on my skin. This is a fantastic not-quite gourmand fragrance and quite the compliment magnet.

Airy, fluffy, vanilla with a little depth from the Oud. Definitely good for colder weather and evenings. I totally agree with a comment below that says “shaving cream texture”, that’s a great way of describing it. Long-lasting, I have been wearing for 10hrs and can still smell it. This is a great base for layering. Love this!

Two sprays of this perfume absolutely fill an entire floor in our house,the sillage is very high,I personally enjoy some notes while i hate the others,i find it a bit sickening due to a note i cant really place,but the vanilla in this is very enjoyable and while its not my fav kayali im sure it will be someones cup of tea

Love it!!! I’m a bit of a baby with oud and can struggle when it’s very intense/animalic, but this is really accessible while still having depth - probably the giant vanilla cloud helps. I’m impressed with the sillage/longevity of this and it definitely out-performs most other Kayali formulas.

One of my favorite Kayali fragrances. I know it’s technically an oud scent, but I can barely detect any woodiness. What stands out is the vanilla and praline combo, which makes this a delicious gourmand, without being too sweet or headache inducing. It never fails to put me in a good mood.

STUNNING. This one blew me away from the first whiff off of the test strip. A light oud with a super fluffy and creamy vanilla base. It smells like luxury and oil-money. It kinda reminds me of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, only the lasting power and sillage of this one is more remarkable.

If you don't like Oud, give this one a chance! I am not a fan of Oud and I still love this one. Soft sweet smoky vanilla, unisex. Its very grown up and sexy. I was quite surprised how much I enjoy it. I can't stop sniffing my wrist today! I'll be purchasing this one for sure!

In love! The praline, pear and saffron (especially) are very prominent in the opening, the result is sweet and creamy and earthy. It dries down to a sweet and fruity vanilla that’s balanced by woody notes and a very subtle (but lovely) oud.

ok I really like this! It’s soft, woody, creamy, sweet but not too sweet! This scent makes me feel so cozy. It’s going to be a fall/winter staple for me for sure. Definitely a good one to cuddle up in a big sweater with💓

A cloud of vanilla scented baby powder with a touch of smokey incense. I love this. It has enough depth without turning anybody off.

It's so addictive you can't stop sniffing it. Very elegant, woody sweet vanilla. Very sexy fragrance.

Vanilla Oud is surprisingly good. I tested this Oudgasm range in-store when they first came out, but didn’t think much at the time. But revisiting this has impressed me - it’s not the overly sweet, sugary juvenile mess usually associated with Kayali. Upon first spray I get the smell of manure and damp hay on a cold winters’ morning, with a light green leafy facet, like ivy. This quickly transitions into something far softer, and by the first hour of its life, is deliciously balanced; the oud is still prominent, but instead musky and almost somewhat cheesy in its presence, but balanced really nicely by the delicate creaminess of vanilla. It’s not overly sweet, neither does it lean too heavily into the oud. Vanilla and oud is a wonderful combination if done well, and this absolutely is a great interpretation. However, my favourite in this category will always be Cartier’s Oud Vanille.

Update 2/16/24: This is my favorite perfume currently. I’m halfway through the bottle. Most of my fragrances I spray a few times and put them away for a few months. I am never disappointed doing this. As with many fragrances, this one needed a little more time to macerate. Forcing myself to use other perfumes as I gravitate towards this one. Have purchased all 4 from the collection and letting the others take a back seat. ——————————————— I will start off by saying I’m not a vanilla lover. I purchased this and cafe Oud. I much prefer this over Cafe. I should’ve bought all 4. Based on reviews from people gifted the Oudgasm via PR packages, I did choose this one. I am pleasantly surprised but have only tried it once. I don’t believe a fragrances true merit can be based on the first few sprays so I will have to keep using.

Another beauty from Kayali's Oud series. Soft and feminine with pronounced vanilla-musk profile. I can also detect oakmoss and saffron but just a dash enhancing the main players. They create together a soft praline note for a gourmand edge. Sweet and gentle it is fitting for a day or night. Oud is so gentle here, just its warmth remains. Out of the four I tried Chololate Oud is possibly my favourite, this coming second, though the rose and milky ouds are also lovely. On another plus side - each has a distinct character, if you are a collector. The closest Vanilla Oud is to the Milky Musk Oud. The scent is sensual, perfect for autumn and winter, but not heavy. Might be my favourite Oudgasm after a whole day in my sample, it is the most sensual. I am going to buy a couple of 10ml bottles of this series.

To me Oudgasm Vanilla Oud | 36, smells like a way, way, way more subdued Shaghaf Oud, with the Oud massively dialled down, more added sweetness and mixed in with Yum Pistachio Gelato. It is a nice fragrance and all in all I think Mona and the Kayali team have created a beautiful scent. But I have to say the name cheapens the fragrance for me. If I wasn’t already familiar with Kayali and my admiration for Mona, I would have passed on this one just because of the cheesy name. The “Oudgasm“ bit was not necessary at all, I would be very embarrassed if somebody asked me what perfume I‘d be wearing and I had to explain THIS! Kayali you can do better especially because you have a huge Middle Eastern following.

Soft woods, a wisp of cotton candy, and a gentle leathery saffron. It’s more of a vague sugary sweetness than a vanilla fragrance. It’s very lightweight. For those looking for a skin-scent that could work in any setting or season. The opening also smelled like bug spray but in a good way. 😂 Maybe because the woodiness has a direct association with bug spray and fond childhood memories in my brain. It’s interesting but not an instant love. I don’t necessarily think it’s worth the price increase, considering I have to spray a lot to get much oomph out of this. ETA: agree with bond girl below, this does resemble yum pistachio gelato. I’m getting a similar powdery cotton candy vibe!

I sprayed this on my hand a Sephora the other day and couldn't stop sniffing it. It reminded me so much of some lost scent from my past, but I have yet to put my finger on it. It was just a warm, creamy, spicy sweetness that I loved and I was sure I was going to buy it. However, after about an hour, it faded to a bit of an aftershavey scent that was still pleasant, but I don't necessarily want to smell like. Nice, but too unisex for me. What I will say, though, is that today I put the sweater on that I was wearing that day and the scent is still going strong on my sleeve almost 4 days later. That's pretty potent! PS. I hate the name. Corny.

I think Kayali perfumes just work with my body chemistry because this one is another hit for me. I’ve only worn it for about an hour but as it’s settling in its smelling even better.... so far so good! I’ll wear it for a week or so before making my final decision about whether it’s a love or like. Very gentle oud scent, I would say it’s a “pretty oud.” Slightly unisex, leaning more feminine. Good for autumn & winter weather. At first I was thinking more of a daytime winter scent but I think would be good for nighttime too, especially when rolling around with a Lover.

It's a fluffy marshmallow cloud of a smell with a pleasant tinge of play-dough. It's very soft and yummy, and my husband walked into the room an hour after I sprayed it on my wrist to test and said, without prompting, "Wow, that smell is a win!" I can see there are a lot of disappointed reviews, and maybe that's because it's misnamed. The vanilla seems a bit lost in the candy cloud of fragrance, and the oud is almost absent. But if you're looking for something that envelopes you in a soft, sweet blanket of deliciousness, this is the perfume for you.

A beautiful creamy and deep vanilla. As said previously, this is a great introduction to oud. For me personally it's bit too dark and heavy for everyday and for special occasion it doesn't compare to my signature, Vanilla Royale (which also has oud btw). Also I find Vanilla Oud maybe bit too mature for my tase. I never wear it so I'm actually going to declutter my small 10 ml bottle. But this certainly is the best more straightforward vanilla oud fragrance I have tried. Performance is good also, unlike with some of the lighter Kayalis.

It's a nice and sweet perfume, not in a cloying way. It has far less oud than Vanilla Royal Sugared Patchouli, even though it is in the name. I smell Praline , Vanilla, sugar and the oud just gives body and depth in the back. The smell also reminded me Cloud Intense from Ariana Grande, they share notes like pear, praline, vanilla, musk, cashmere woods and that's maybe why ? Not same but for sure similar to my nose and skin PH... Overall, I like it a lot, nothing groundbreaking though..

I'm not sure if I smell coconut in this or what but it almost reminds me of a sunscreen that has been sweetend with a lot of vanilla and has a touch of oud to it. It's also a little plasticky but nothing too bad, didn't bother me too much. It's a bit strange to my nose, but I still kind of like it. Longevity is also pretty good, I took a shower about 1,5 hours after spraying it and it still stayed on my skin after. The drydown is just sweet, not much oud, a wearable scent overall.

Came here to say this smells like Un Bois Vanille by Serge, and now that I see it is highest rated in the smells like section it makes sense. I get a waxy candlesqe vibe, beeswax is not a mentioned note but makes it's presence known all right. Its a pretty vanilla candle smell with a coconutty feel....Can't smell any oud though so if that's the reason you want to get this it may not really be a good buy but otherwise nice smell. 7/10..

Okay, Vanilla Oud has officially become one of my favorite fragrances! It’s so indulgent, rich, and incredibly beautiful. I truly think this is one of Kayali’s best releases so far. The balance of oud with creamy vanilla is just perfection, making it both sophisticated and addictive. I can’t get enough of it, and I know this will be a staple in my collection for a long time. Absolutely in love!🖤🖤🖤

The oud in this is very nice. It isn’t animalic or barnyardy. It is smooth and blends nicely with the vanilla scent. This isn’t intense. I expected to be blown away, but it is more like a light breeze than a hurricane. While I like it, I think I am more likely to use it for layering than to wear it alone. It is nice, but not spectacular.

I like this. The oud is very strong at first spritz though not in a bad way. It smells kind of earthy like you were in a jungle with no pollution. Then as it dries down it becomes more wearable and I smell more of the cashmere wood, musk, and vanilla. It’s very long lasting and a sort of deep, mature vanilla imo.

It's a strong like for me. The oud is there, but it's soft and well blended with the other notes. Pretty impressive performance/sillage for a Kayali fragrance, since they don't always tend to be too good in that department. Dries down very musky on me, which is pleasant but I liked the opening and mid more.

I got a sample of this and its nice but I've had better from Kayali. I find this unisex leaning feminine but a man could definitely pull this off. Reminds me of Eilish but more vanilla than the cocoa I get with that. I layered this with Kayali Vanilla Sugared Patchouli and they go amazing together.

this is everything i was hoping vanilla royale was gonna be when they were teasing the release!! it’s a thick, rich, and syrupy vanilla and it’s so good. i was very hesitant to try this because i’m not a fan of oud this is really beautiful!! i cant wait to wear this in cooler weather
